Finals! Fight Against Odds!
Helala made the first attack. Her legs suddenly threw several needles of steel towards Valeria as she made the quickest spin possible and the soles of her feet as if aiming to kick Valeria off, but Valeria wasn't being kicked at. She immediately saw the glints with the aid of the sunlight. Valeria lifted her ruler dagger and simply 'posed' with it, blocking all needles that would've hit her body.
Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish!...
But the moment her blade covered just a little of her view, she saw Helala ‘disappear’ from her sight. All Valeria had to do was to slightly move her blade upwards to see 3 ice needles already flying in front of her left eye, while Helala’s right hand was about to slap at her with a long stick made of ice all the same.
Forcing her body down, Valeria evaded the 3 ice needles but also became vulnerable to the long ice stick. Which smacked down towards her. But Valeria’s Mortal sword was suspended in the air and not only interrupted said long ice stick - it even broke itself upon impact against the Mortal sword!
Crassshhh~- step, whoosh! Shaa lalalala~!
Valeria then stepped forwards with all of her strength, leaving her Mortal sword behind from which Helala’s eyes uncontrollably glanced down at it with shining eyes gaining greed. But with her mind still sober, she managed to see…the black ruler dagger stuck at the handle of the Mortal sword, black chains camouflaged by the handle of the same tying the ruler dagger to it!
“!” Just like Valeria had done, Helala rushed out of the way, just in time for the Mortal sword to be brought back into Valeria’s hands as the chain became tense, and the Mortal sword suddenly began rushing away, almost cleaving through Helala’s left thigh as it went just right through in-between her legs; yet that alone managed to create a thin but long trail of blood at her inner thighs.
Having jumped and sent her body away in time, all Helala had now was to defend herself from any attack…and such was the life-saving-like mindset that allowed her to turn around and discover Valeria’s foot already reaching up to her stomach - kicking her squarely on the abdomen and sending her back down against the floor.
Pom! Thud! Swiish~, cuuuh!- Crrhh- CRASH.
Helala was sent back down with her bum clashing with the floor fist, then her back. But Valeria gave no time to react whatsoever as her ruler dagger immediately came down to her chest. With her eyes widening, Helala could only endure the previous kick from just now and stand up. But while she was doing so, the even more utterly dangerous Mortal sword came right at her threatening to cut her in 2 amidst her upper torso!
And as Helala tried to move farther away instead of standing up to avoid it, she couldn’t get away from Valeria’s chasing with her Mortal sword. In a decisive fit for fighting to survive more than just to win, Helala risked herself, covered her hands with frosty layers of harsh, cold ice, and made a grabbing motion towards the blade of the Mortal grade sword!
The ice on her hands and the uncovered skin on her forearm and wrists began to break right away as, to the shocked eyes of the crowd, the ice also began spreading all over the Mortal sword, and it wasn’t able to be shaken off.
“You…ho- what?!” Valeria was semi-paralyzed for this was a first. Never did she ever get to see the way a simple, ‘mere’ Element could actually affect a Mortal weapon so much. But she didn’t weaken her grasp nor the force put behind the sword in order to keep on stabbing it into Helala’s body. Yet it was the latter who seemed more and more at ease as the blade began to be covered more and more by her tools’ ice.
“Never seen it before? You are too inexperienced I guess, or is it that you were sheltered from this information somehow? Hah!” Helala said as her smile turned wider and even more attractive yet somehow retaining a savagery only she could give off right now. But she wasn’t laughing. It was in fact due to Helala suddenly launching a kick towards Valeria that made her yell out like that.
Valeria received the kick but did not let go of her Mortal sword. She insisted on attacking her head still on and on with her blade becoming frozen. The more they remained in this stance, no longer even moving but with their feet making ever so slightly cracks on the arena’s floor. They lost more and more of their Power Energy.
Every time Valeria wanted to send her ruler dagger out, Helala would spend more Power Energy in order to deter her from doing anything else other than keep on stabbing forwards. However, the ice racks around her fingers and palm began to no longer ‘regenerate’ anymore, and no more ice was formed at those parts of her skin; body.
Cuts began appearing all over them, despite the blade’s tip and edges almost reaching up to her elbows, barely holding the sides of the blade as the blood made it difficult without using her Power Energy to dissipate it, saving it for enduring the attack instead.
But at some point, Helala realized she couldn’t win a 1 on 1 in terms of both Power Energy quantity, even if by just a small proportion, and neither in time as she felt the Power Energy moving towards the blade and forming more ice beginning to halt.
“HAAAH!”
Swoosh… …cuuuh- CRACK- CRASSH!
Helala made a ‘go for it’, and she used all of her 2,000 kg of arm strength and abdomen to propel the blade upwards, even if just by a little. She almost got her little fingers cut off and most of her hand near that finger had flesh taken off from her beauty self.
But she also spun her body several times in such quick succession that she looked almost like a crystal blue whirlpool as she actually evaded Valeria’s ruler dagger that came from behind her. As the ruler dagger was being sent to the back of Helala just now, before, it was now moving at a fast speed towards Valeria’s forehead!
However, just as it was a single inch away from her, Valeria’s Spirit Sense reacted. And she stopped it in time, the chains mostly on the end of the ruler dagger’s handle’s end stiffening before slowly smoothing out to fall from midair and go back to its owner’s left hand.
However, yet again. While that was happening, Valeria had already chased after Helala, who had stopped spinning and was with her back facing the sky, forming gestures with both her arms in front of her, which was in turn while facing down looking at Valeria approaching her once more.
At some point, she finished doing whatever she was doing. While Valeria was all too ready to cut her in half, already making a hacking-down motion while Helala was landing on her feet. Right then, a rigorous and sudden wall of thin ice appeared, cooling off all air around and slowly forming tendrils of even thinner ice that tried to absorb the air as if to form more ice…
But then came the Mortal sword crashing through yet another defensive wall made by its adversary.; from the top right corner of the thin wall of ice from Helala’s point of view to the bottom left corner, right at the middle of it, the Mortal blade easily made its way through without any ice leftovers on its body.
Swish~! Whoosh~... … Swish- crash!
“!” However, as soon as Valeria’s body went through the quickly crumbling thin wall of ice, all she saw first things first was the delicate and fair but bloody and with skin lacking-hand with a long ice stick but now a smallish spearhead to make a pike aiming right at her head!
Valeria dodged the long ice pike as she crouched down. Her posture was just right for a follow up though. She stood back up and aimed the tip of her Mortal sword towards Helala’s torso by calculating from the way that her arm and hand moved to attack her right now. In return, Helala had formed a kind of small thin boulder, which she used as a small shield…to deviate her Mortal sword!

…Things went like such after her sword deviated. Though surprised and even slightly shocked, Valeria was a natural battle crazed lusty one; she immediately punched at Helala’s chin but failed as she dodged in time yet also let go of this one chance to strike Valeria back - deadly.
The rest of their fight went on and on, like this. Valeria always moved to gain the offensive and retain Helala from gaining any initiative. Her Mortal sword had never been seen so much in movement nor swung so much in this tournament at all.
Every 30 seconds of their fight was about 2 times the number of times she had swung her Mortal sword and not that far off from 3 times the amount of seconds she had used it up until now for so long. Every such second, a heavy round of not-so-quick but spontaneous moves was made by the 2 of them, leaving even the strongest and sharpest around here to witness the fight.
Even Fu Lan herself was engrossed in the fight, let alone Ciemnosc, who was seeing an Elemental-based tool work so hard and so well for so long at its utmost, his eyes shone like never before in his Craftsmanship mode!
But the girls in the arena kept going at it, one making injuries to the other without a winning being cleared out at all; the Preferential Light Justice Sect disciples around were teetering with their teeth, nervously and anxiously as they saw their queen Helala just about to fight the most incredible monster and…having the possibility of winning!
In retrospect, the Self-Mutilating Honores Sect disciples were anxious and somewhat…afraid. The winning champion of the grand events was almost always the Self-Mutilating Honores Sect as the final winner, both in numbers at the end of the event and the highest positions for that matter - not just from having the strongest fighter to stand in the end but also be none other but their fellow disciple.
As they watched Valeria struggle, even with Fu Lan still around to defend the title of overall champion of all grand events - tournaments; they still vacillated at the sight. Yet, whenever Valeria showed another lusty smile, their hearts somewhat eased up and, instead, became much more at ease despite their ‘champion’ in the making getting all hurt and hurting the other.
With her waist scratched already by many blades and sharp ends of many figures made of ice, Valeria also had quite some obvious bloody holes all over her tummy and arms. Her face had a few frozen cuts that weren’t melting fast enough but were more painful than harmful in fact.
On the other hand, Helala, after several minutes of fighting Valeria had on and without any disadvantage but showed disadvantages to each other every now, and then inadvertently. Her arms were ‘ragged’ with 2 to 3 cm wide gnashes that showed only her flesh. And only the wounds on her shoulders showed her bones, letting her gain a brutal image that yet tarnished not her incredible beauty.
While moving through the arena’s floor, Helala’s eyes had become cold and locked at all times on Valeria’s body. Her shoulders weren’t moving the least possible, as this pain was nothing compared to herself!
‘I know now…why Fu Lan would, but…’ While stepping away from another bout of attacks with Valeria, Helala thought simply. Her eyes locked onto Fu Lan, for a moment, before falling on Ciemnosc’s shoulders this time.
‘According to the info, he is but a kid, yet he has advanced so fast and…is even capable of jumping a realm to fight? Is that it? A cultivator’s realm and stage…it…’ Helala’s eyes went down a little, her attention changing for a second as a trace of orange hair appeared in her mind, ‘It isn’t everything…at all…unlike what Master said…I-’.
Swish- cuuh, pom! THUD- swiiiish~!!
In her moment of distraction, a warm and well-welcomed one… Helala was mercilessly tackled; Valeria kicked with a sweeping motion with her left foot to Helala’s right foot right above her achilles heel. The Mortal sword was thrown away. It cut away the air as it descended slowly onto the arena floor and smoothly as if gently landing to sleep on the floor.
Meanwhile, while Valeria had thrown the sword with her right hand in a manner so absurdly elegantly, her body facing the way in which she sent the sword, her right arm extended, and right palm fully opened towards where the handle was sent flying - she returned to face Helala’s body in midair, shocked at the sudden turn of events; knowing death could come at any moment now.
“!” From outside, the orange-haired Niloi stood up in a jiffy but dared not move forward. That’s all he could do.
Valeria used her right leg, she circled it in the air from where she was previously facing, and as she turned her body to look at Helala in midair, the ruler dagger appeared in her left hand, and was grasped so tightly it made some of her cuts on her left arm expel some more blood - right at the same time that she kicked Helala’s body down with her right instep connecting with Helala’s solar plexus!
Incapacitated by the mere kick alone and semi-paralyzed, Helala could do nothing else but look into the sky with her yellow eyes shrinking and trembling fearfully. Now…she did not want to die!
But while the sound of her body hitting the floor all at the same time, making it even much more painful and harmful than any other attack she has suffered in this tournament - it all couldn’t compare with the sound of the dagger’s not-so-sharp blade cutting through the air moving towards her neck. She closed her eyes by instinct, but those eyelashes trembled uncontrollably.
Sha lala~lalala-... … …swish~.
“... … … …e-...e-e- eh?” After some time, finding some little bits more calm when hearing the chains of her death approach her and about to claim her soul, Helala waited…and waited and waited. But with her eyes closed and weakened senses, the little bit of Spirit Sense she had had already become obsolete, so…she could only open her eyes and see…
“...I’m not softhearted, but it was a good little fight to have.”
Helala could then only see Valeria’s figure slightly cleared out by the dusk behind her back and hear her words which were not merciful…but life-saving…somehow.
Swish, tuck.
Valeria took her ruler dagger’s tip out of the way, 3 inches away from the fatal strike point, and placed it between her left bent elbow and the left side of her body, not minding the coldness of the blade against her open and slightly bleeding skin.
“I surrender,” Helala dejectedly said, her face low but her left hand up. Valeria’s eyes finally no longer showed any obvious coldness, and kept her ruler dagger in her Covert Space bag, then, she took Helala’s hand with her right one, helping her up. Only now did Niloi’s fists relax along with his whole body, but he didn’t sit back down anymore. Instead, he began walking forth.
“The next finalist of this year’s tournament…is the Self-Mutilating Honores Sect’s Miss Valeria!!” The announcer finally announced, but he wasn’t the only one to be so startled as the crowd was taking quite some time to be…the crowd itself.
“... … … … …GRWUAAAAAAAAAAHH!!” - “SELF. MUTILATION. HONORES. SECT. Fuck yeaaah!!” - “We did it again, fuck yeah! Fuck yeah, fuuuuck yeaaaah!!”
“...” Ciemnosc tilted his head to the left at these scenes unfolding, especially startled and speechless to the crowd yet again. Fu Lan looked at him and placed her left hand on his right shoulder, making him sit back down on his seat accordingly, like a normal and decent person.
They watched as Valeria helped Helala up a little by carrying her over her right shoulder down the stage where a smooth one was already waiting for the cargo to be delivered to his port. In any case, Ciemnosc made a pair of slits with his eyes, which the orange fuckboy seemed to sense. Hence he looked back and cowered when seeing Fu Lan’s deathly glare…ignoring Ciemnosc’s.
“Well, you’ll be beating each other up tomorrow. How does that feel?” Ciemnosc asked Fu Lan after seeing his effortless antics bringing no fruit. He played with his legs on the seat by semi-swinging them back and forth while dragging the soles of his shoes whenever they were crossing in the middle and looking towards her.
“You are also itching to beat her up. What do you think?” Fu Lan seemed to regain her haughtiness, but she wasn’t being a bitch, just cutely annoyingly haughty. After answering the boy, she looked down at him from her seat, though that was just a little lower than at her level, and raised her right eyebrow at him.
“She’s just too bad. She needs discipline.” Ciemnosc nodded, ‘unaware’ of the rolling of eyes and meaning behind them from Fu Lan. She knocked the top right side of his head with the left side of her beautiful blonde hair and said. “You’ll get to see something incredible tomorrow.”
“You both are really strong. Can’t wait to see you unveil what you’ve been hiding, and I mean not about matters of the bed.” Ciemnosc nodded, caressing Fu Lan’s head in the meantime while Valeria made her way towards them without a single trip or movement from her shoulders, back or legs slowing down in the slightest.
As for picking her up, with how she was behaving…Valeria was sure to be feeling hella well and proud to be helped up. She even carried the lithe ‘little girl’ down the arena as well and delivered her to the fuckboy while in a ‘raging’ state of weakness. Too cool to be true.
“...phew, tomorrow is going to be fun,” Valeria said as she sat down beside Fu Lan, leaving Ciemnosc on his own with only Fu Lan’s greatly proportionate body that had been halfway defiled by him and seen through it all already. But, to Ciemnosc, this was good for him…Valeria’s wounds had not only her blood but also Helala, and his thirsty-hungry self hasn’t gotten Helala’s image as anything better than a foe.
In any case, it is better to not have the temptation right in front or beside oneself, especially when one has been starving for quite some time and…the need is itching again.
“Would it be more fun with me than with her?” Fu Lan spoke to Valy, her eyes ‘nice’ and ‘natural’ but also gesturing so obviously to the ‘little girl’ leaving under the caring arms of the orange-haired young man. Valy looked at Niloi, her head moving tiredly around, before sitting at Fu Lan and looking at the latter calmly and without anxiety.
“I see her only like a little sister…”
“...puchi!”
