This Is The Little Black Monster!!
"What... is that...?" Everyone in the bleachers was a cultivator, and when they saw this earthen ball suddenly start shedding its layer to turn dark, more than the night itself, they felt somewhat confused... and terrorized. On the other hand, some citizens around them, in their own sets, looked at it with scrutiny, swaying their heads left and right as if seeing something more than meets the eyes. They weren't the only ones, as even the civilians outside the stadium, be it in their homes, at a bar, or restaurant, in the middle of doing what someone does in a brothel, and their daily morning routines stopped to look at these images.
The civilians within their homes and the like felt a strange, fitting sensation as they watched the darkness take over the earthen ball. Unlike the cultivators, the civilians didn’t wonder if the insides were also darkening, only about the sight from the outside. They were almost enthralled as if looking at something that was… just… right!
“GASP!” - “Gasp!” - “Gaa-aa-aa-sp!” When the dark earthen ball’s top was closed, and the darkness finally engulfed its whole body, the cultivators around the platform all felt suffocated. Like their throats were entangled by something… like a hand, wrinkled, cold… but also completely unreal. It wasn’t even in their minds or an illusion. It was just a strange sensation… Like a… phenomenon!
Bowwbooumb~.
“!!” Even the Godly beings were astounded and affected by this strange phenomenon. As everyone saw the dark, earthen ball from the inside, Heian Ciemnosc’s Golden Array Snakes covered its entire interiors in a rectangular shape. It wasn’t too long and far from its limit, but it still looked beautiful. Golden array formation’s energy illuminated the inside, but it was as if nothing was there… completely empty… dark…
Then, like a bomb of silence, it spread everywhere. From the stadium to every corner of the Middle Godly Spatial Station like a blinding creation through destruction… when a dark sphere, or dome, spread from the middle, covering Heian Ciemnosc and Kilah’s body, disappearing it from their radar, and even the Godly beings.
“!!!?” The Godly beings, including the event’s hosts, stood from their chairs, stupidly stunned by what they were seeing and not seeing. “It-... this is impossible, right?!” - “Why the hell can’t we understand? This kid…” - “Isn’t it both of them? Are we supposed to believe a single boy did this?” - “It’s… difficult to believe…” - “...yeah…”
“...” - “...” - “...” - “...” The four hosts stood before their chairs, with only Diego wearing a worried expression while the others frowned and pondered hard on the issue. Below their feet, the earthen wall seemed to have gone completely silent, and its texture seemed to change. The Golden Array Snakes and the interior disappeared after 1 mere second as if that dark sphere had limitlessly expanded. Now, all their eyes or minds could see was the earthen ball or the pure darkness inside it.
“Jolden, what is- should we-” Bai Yue’er looked at the Obscure Orb Sect’s Grand Elder but was cut off by a swing of the latter’s arm downwards. He kept silent as he simply couldn’t tell anything from the arena, covered in a yellow barrier, and said. “Nothing, it’s not over yet. What has… the Wrath Nihility Academy invented this time? But even more… what has the Academy created?”
“...” Bajo’s always calm and composed face turned solemn. He looked down, like the others, and his eyebrows slightly flinched, like the others, when the dark, earthen, strange ball suddenly echoed with a light knock.
Tock. CRUUUUSHHH!! PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM- WHOOSH- THUUUUUUUDDD! WAVSSHHHH~!
The dark, earthen, strange ball broke, crushing from the inside as something flew out of it, still covered in total darkness, towards one of the arena’s walls. The spectators were somewhat startled by the sight, while citizens and civilians were scared off straight up. The thing that came flying out was humanoid, so it could only be one of them, but their appearance was indistinct. As it rapidly neared the yellow barrier wall, their face and part of their white wrists were shown, with dark layers covering some liquid moving around.
It was still too early to doubt anything. But the spectators didn’t have to wait long. As the Godly beings stood up and the bleachers, everyone was seated. The figure flew past the center and crashed against the yellow barrier wall. Elena, Sakura, Arla, Sahnyr, the COs, and even Fera present were like doofus looking at a beautiful sunset, but that state broke away when the figure landed on the barrier.
“!!” The Wrath Nihility Academy stood in attention, alarmed to see who the person on the losing end was. Everyone except the little group aforementioned looked at the arena with serene eyes.
When the figure, still covered in pure darkness layers, crashed against the wall, the latter crazily rippled, sending energy-electric waves off anywhere. It lasted 3 seconds, stuck in the spot before pitifully falling onto the floor, creating a small, dusty cloud on the ground. However, from that falling impact, several meters long and a few meters wide ‘pillars’ were lifted before crashing about.
The dark earthen ball now only had ⅓ of its structure remaining while the rest was crushed open, and while everyone waited for the hidden figure, slammed against the wall, to resurface and show their countenance, the movement came from the former.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh- swish, swish, swish, swish~.
Heads turned, and necks twisted. The sound of millions of cultivators doing the same beside the Godly beings triggered a strange wind protrusion running towards the other side of the stadium. Below, on the platform, amidst the dark earthen ball’s rumble and crushed aperture, a young male’s pale body, with their left shoulder almost bringing down part of their left torso off, walked into open eyes.
Heian Ciemnosc walked out in the open as his left limb wobbled midair. His right hand was holding onto his left upper arm. His dark claws were still there, but their width was his finger, no longer drawing dark Power Energy from his storage. Yet, he was like before he effectuated his Myriad Darkness Materialization, where his storage was already empty, and his body could only keep his increased width by mere seconds. Dry off any dark Power Energy, he walked out of his dark earthen wall, tainted by his Myriad Darkness Materialization, and looked up at the wall Kilah crashed on.
Bowwbooumb!
“Woah!” - “GASP!” The spectators were baffled again before they had time to understand what it meant to see Heian Ciemnosc walk out of the dark earthen ball and watch as his Myriad Darkness Materialization appeared again. This time, it only lasted for 4 seconds before it disappeared, covering the arena’s maximum height and half the arena from the center to where Kilah’s body was shot to.
“What?!!” And at the end of the 4th second, when the Myriad Darkness Materialization flattered, blinking and popping out of existence like an illusory balloon, Heian Ciemnosc appeared right before Kilah! The spectators finally reacted! The Godly beings turned around to watch Heian Ciemnosc’s pale, bloody, dislocated bones from his back move as he bent, crouched, and picked Kilah by her hair with his right hand, leaving his almost torn-off left shoulder dangling.
Crrkkk, thud, putong… rustle, rustle~.
As Heian Ciemnosc pulled her up, nearly grabbing her head by the roots of her hair, Kilah’s right eye was fully opened while her left one was constantly twitching and bloody. She silently looked at Heian Ciemnosc’s face, offering no word or sound whatsoever. Heian Ciemnosc looked at this face, rugged and powerless, tilted his head to the right and let go of her so her knees could meet the ground as they should.
Falling on her knees, shins, and insteps, Kilah was hopeless to move. Her body fell limb on the broken ground. Her arms lay beside her folded legs as she hugged her knees against the floor. Her back faced the sky straight, and the world could see her detrimental state. Heian Ciemnosc lifted his right arm sideways with an open palm and Claws Out. From the backhand, Vocón Link exited and prepared to tangle her neck to bring her up in all splendor. Her clothes covered her body decently, but they left some gaps to see her flesh, some bone, and biting or clawing marks.
PEW!!! FUTOMP!!! However, just as he was about to slowly encircle Kilah’s shoulders, then neck, movement happened outside the yellow barrier wall he was facing. He was just a couple meters away, and Kilah’s rear faced it just a meter from the barrier. Heian Ciemnosc looked up with his darkest eyes as ultimately cold, serene, and lifeless as always… at the Interchanging Dust Dynasty’s Heavenly Protector Diego.
“...” None of them spoke, looking at each other without showing intentions. Heian Ciemnosc’s Vocón Link no longer moved, not because Diego was doing something to his body, but because Heian Ciemnosc simply chose to. And when they were just like this, with Kilah’s head falling from her knees as her cheek rested on top of them, more such sounds followed suit from the outside.
Stolen novel; please report.
PEW, PEW, PEW!!! FUTOMP, FUTOMP, FUTOMP!!!
“Diego!!” - “Heavenly Protector Diego, I request you to back down!” - “What are you planning? Step back, and we’ll let you speak.” Grand Elder Jolden arrived first and walked through the air to Diego’s back but was stopped by Bai Yue’er, who saw his enraged self and red face. Then, Bajo spoke, bringing both parties to a sudden calm as Diego kept looking at Heian Ciemnosc. It wasn’t a furious, contemptuous, frowning, troubled, or hateful glare… it was just worry and understanding.
“Calm down, everyone. Put that tension down. I do not intend to harm little friend, little black monster here.” Diego spoke, ending with a sigh that abruptly startled the others. The stadium couldn’t hear the conversations, but the Godly beings could as they sat back on their chairs and politely stayed out of this. Diego then sighed again while looking down and stepped backwards twice in the air. “I am merely here to pledge for someone’s life.”
“...” Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes narrowed slightly. He moved his right arm to his left, grabbed his left arm, and in one swift, cruel motion, he brought his left side together again. Right before it was completely stuck together again, tiny Vocón Link sub-bodies could be seen peeking out and entangling this small part of his flesh and bones back to the rest of his body. Furthermore, unlike any other living being, Heian Ciemnosc’s dark blood didn’t come out until he reattached his body. Once he did, dark blood slipped from the lines connecting both parts.
Crasshh spluushh~. Heian Ciemnosc looked at Diego as the latter looked between the former and Kilah, who was already frowning while feeling her life and death in the hands of others. The feeling wasn’t good, even when it came from one she should trust. Because, in the end, how could she not understand what was going on? Gora thought Diego put him against Elena and later on against Heian Ciemnosc to kill them, but now… it was clear he did it with the opposite goal!
Was it the same with her? Just because she didn’t listen to the oldies and killed whoever she wanted, rejecting any advances and possible future from any of the Celestial’s children, male or female, and even bringing about many massacres in the mission she was sent… Despite her talent and one-in-a-quintillion potential, she was also being sacrificed like a ‘mere’ Genius like Gora?! She didn’t dare think of this! Too humiliating!!
“So what? Are you interfering again, or are you begging me to not kill her?” Heian Ciemnosc finally broke the atmosphere with his coldly uttered words. Diego looked up, darting his eyes instantly, and set his eyes on Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest ones. Diego nodded gravely, closing his eyes and reopening them as after 3 seconds to speak lightly. “I was under the impression you would be this Change’s dark horse. At least in our Existence.”
“Even if it was a silly intervention and excuse on my part,” Diego spoke, knowing his actions were definitely not corresponding to his status. However, he was shamelessly confessing as he walked back towards the barrier. This time, the other hosts didn’t stop or interrupt him. Diego continued, “I had to see it for myself. Although these events are not at fault, barely something good can come from them. I had to tweak a little thing here and there to see through you. In the end, I couldn’t. Only at this point, where you have totally won this encounter, can I confirm this.”
“...” Heian Ciemnosc looked at Heavenly Protector Diego in silence despite the other hosts reacting with alarming expressions. Diego didn’t waste time or prolong his convincing as Heian Ciemnosc allowed him to speak more. “Gora was an important member of the Interchanging Dust Dynasty. But to be at this level, someone with crude mental capabilities is not fit to belong with us. Only death is what he deserved to have in our home. However…”
Diego looked at Kilah, whose poor, fragile, and more or less boneless body, with how only shards remained within it, kneeling and prostrating herself before Heian Ciemnosc as he healed his broken-off shoulder… Still, Diego continued his convincing without shame, “This Kilah is unique, even in all of our Dynasty’s history. If I must, then I, Heavenly Protector Diego, implore you, Heian Ciemnosc, to let her live.”
“After the things she did, what she made me go through in previous phases… Sure, I would have let her live.” Heian Ciemnosc said. Standing fleetly with his battered body barely standing. But then added, “Yet, she and her people did what any enemy of mine has done before. Hunting, lusting after my wife. Threatening my people’s life and even killing them. It doesn’t matter that I started it after they targeted me. This woman won’t leave this arena without dying first.”
Diego didn’t refute or show any discontent, and instead, he contacted Heian Ciemnosc via a mental message secured by himself. “Then, how about I ensure my Interchanging Dust Dynasty’s decision for your benefit and the Wrath Nihility Academy’s sake?”
“...?” Heian Ciemnosc’s left eyebrow rose. He looked around the hosts and the Godly beings above. Noticing none of them were aware of their words, even if they could see they were now exchanging words with mental messages, he started ‘chatting’ with Diego. The latter was surprised to know Heian Ciemnosc could still move his Soul in his current state, but it didn’t matter much to him. Thus, Diego cooperated with Heian Ciemnosc, to the latter’s surprise.
… A couple minutes went by like this. The spectators weren’t mindless consumers, and as the ladies and gentlemen around continued to make a killing selling food and drinks to the bleachers, Heian Ciemnosc and Diego finished their talks. Diego seemed relieved, while Heian Ciemnosc remained impassive, with the same attitude as before.
Heian Ciemnosc looked at Kilah, his darkest eyes flashed as he thought, ‘She is valued this much, huh?’
He couldn’t believe, at first, the things Diego was willing to give in to just to secure her life. Furthermore, Diego promised just about anything without receiving advice or asking his organization for permission. This only meant Diego was one to talk however he wanted and that the Dynasty wasn’t as stupid as their participants this time around had shown. Even more so, Heian Ciemnosc never saw someone from their vip zone act or look at him in the wrong way.
“Well then, Heian Ciemnosc, it’s time to honor our word,” Diego spoke, catching Heian Ciemnosc’s attention as the yellow barrier wall continued to distance both parties. Heian Ciemnosc looked at Diego for a second, then down at Kilah’s back for 2 seconds, whose face was already confused and blank. Tilting his head to the right, Heian Ciemnosc raised his right arm to Diego’s widening eyes, and the Vocón Link that was just tens of inches away from her shoulders shrunk to a mere inch as it entangled her body everywhere.
Her limbs, neck, head, even ears, sternum, shoulders, hips, ribs, pelvis, toes, fingers, and nose were all suddenly turned into nettings as Kilah hovered above the ground and looked at Heian Ciemnosc with shock! Diego was the same, and after seeing the reactions of the two, the hosts were confused by the sudden development!
That was… until Heian Ciemnosc spoke again.
“But I still said she had to die in order to leave the arena first,” Heian Ciemnosc declared. Kilah saw his ultimately cold eyes, still serene but lifeless, and felt so inferior out of nowhere. It wasn’t like a subordinate or a plebeian before a prince or king. Rather… she felt naturally below her own actions against this pale young man before her who was even elevating her stance while holding her life in his strange dark whip.
“Catch,” Heian Ciemnosc lightly said.
Spl- splaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssshhhhhh~~~!
“!!!” - “!” - “!!” Diego’s face lost color. The hosts behind him widened their eyes in surprise, just as much as the Godly beings guests reacted. The spectators became incensed, thrilled in seeing this fight end with Kilah’s body imploding into red, rosy red, and forced red!!
Kilah’s body, turned into a net by Heian Ciemnosc’s Vocón Link, wasn’t harming her at first. But afterwards, when he commanded it to tighten to its utmost, and in one single, top speed, her body was cut into tiny hundreds of pieces. Her flesh turned into liquid, her bones turned into liquid, and her organs were smashed into forcibly turning into liquid. Nothing was left with a solid or semi-solid state from her rests!
“No!!” Diego hurriedly tore open the barrier and shot towards Kilah’s corpse. He kept his right arm raised up, while his left turned illusory and gave Heian Ciemnosc the impression it took the form of pure energy. Before Heian Ciemnosc could study it any further, he saw Diego become paralyzed for 15 seconds straight before sighing in tremendous relief as his left arm picked up a thing from nowhere. It was a tiny, humanoid body, translucent and bluish, mesmerizingly beautiful and magnificent in its own simple way.
“!” Heian Ciemnosc widened his darkest eyes on will. What Heavenly Protector Diego had caught was… a Soul! And it had Kilah’s appearance! She was bare but was temporarily sexless as she had no breasts or nipples and no crotch, only her arms and indistinct legs. She had her eyes closed as Diego seemingly utilized a cyclone-like-movement Soul Art to pick her up.
As she stopped rotating, she opened her big eyes and looked at the world. Unfortunately for her, Heian Ciemnosc was right before her, and memories of him immediately struck her. She trembled and cringed in her own Soul-like ‘bag’ that she was surviving in, thanks to Diego’s Soul Art. Looking at Heian Ciemnosc from afar, she couldn’t part her eyes away, and seemed too immobile to help herself.
Heian Ciemnosc looked at her little Soul and then up at Diego’s face. The latter wasn’t resentful, and Heian Ciemnosc could feel an intricate, ongoing connection between Kilah’s little Soul and Diego’s. Diego spoke to him before turning around, directing her words at little Kilah instead. “Little black monster… little black monster indeed. My Dynasty doesn’t change its words. You have proven right to yours, and we haven’t lost our future. We are thankful, Heian Ciemnosc. Now, if you’ll excuse me, someone needs to be put to safety right away.”
“... You see that now, child? You shouldn’t have messed around… Now look, this is your punishment, but it has only started! Even if the Celestial is more than willing to reconstruct your body… That’s what you get, that’s what you get… I’d like to see if you’d still misbehave... Ahh? Why are you still trembling? He’s not close anymore… Aish, I’ll use the Sub-Space then.
‘... She is… being fed by his Soul? Hm…’ Heian Ciemnosc was thunderstruck. Not only did he become more aware of the extremes the Interchanging Dust Dynasty was willing to go, placing one of their top powerhouses in danger due to keeping one person safe. He also… remembered how he was nursed by his Master not too long ago.
“Sigh…” Heian Ciemnosc exclaimed… before plunging backwards to the ground.
“The little black monster- Heian Ciemnosc’s victory!!!”
“WAAAAAAAAAAAA WAAAAHOOOOOUUUUU~~~!!!!” The crowd responded to this win without stopping for several minutes as the day ended…
…
