Conquest Of The Stormy Calm Sea
When the land forces at the Asabas Region's south finally rushed into the rest of the Region to the north. They spent 2 months marching towards the north's center, where the enemy's Medium City lay. The trip there was a problem. The enemy had even more traps and ambushes prepared. Even though the Crimsons were many, they didn't have orders of breaking through the enemy's defenses at the cost of their lives. They cautiously proceeded, careful to not bring their troops to a massive death.
The cultivators took the vanguard most of the time, but the citizens also took it. Meanwhile, the auxiliary units analyzed the land to make sure they knew how to restore it as soon as possible. The war continued, and the enemy in the Asabas Region began understanding they might not offer much of a fight in the end, but they continued standing in their defensive positions.
When the land forces finally neared the enemy’s center, the special force finally showed themselves. It was in the middle of a battle several tens of thousands of kilometers away down the south. The enemy had just sent a good portion of their troops to prepare to face the Crimsons there. After those troops were far away, from the western coasts, approximately about a hundred thousand kilometers away, the water suddenly soared with breakneck speed.
A few hundred spaceships, accompanied by more than ten million Blue Drakes, wasn’t a sight easy to imagine, but it happened right before everybody’s eyes. The enemy was immediately stunned, but not helpless. They had already suffered under the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory, a little surprise didn’t do much difference.
The special force immediately rushed to the Medium City, receiving incoming firepower from the enemy. But at that moment, a contingent from the land forces separated from the battlefield and rushed to the Medium City as well.
This contingent received little to no attention from the enemy thanks to the special force’s actions, but they were still noticed. However, when both military units were near the Medium City, they didn’t brainlessly attack and only surrounded it. The special force employed their elite auxiliary units to form array formations and traps, bringing the enemy to a helpless stagnancy as most of their troops couldn’t return in time.
Day after day, the Medium City was surrounded by all kinds of traps. From array formations to devices similar to those Heian Ciemnosc had used back in the day of his first days warring under a commander. Meanwhile, the rest of the land forces weren’t anxious to win the battle. They had already learned their thinking wasn’t right before. This seemingly ‘easy victory’ became a painful lesson that put them all in their place.
Their situation would’ve been tragic for most others. But to the Crimsonbreaking Faction, this was a pleasant yet slightly humiliating surprise. They knew what to expect after seeing the enemy’s capabilities in the Asabas Region. Although they weren’t as stubborn and resilient as the Tase Region’s inhabitants, they still gained a little recognition from the Crimsons.
They avoided the Medium City and continued in a rampage to occupy the rest of the Region under the Non-Presentable Calm Region’s watch. The Region they once took as being done had put a stop to the Crimsons’ efficient, smooth-sailing war. If they had just cooperated from the beginning, how good could that have been?
But it was too late now. The Asabas Region was only half a year from being conquered after the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory’s special force appeared. Now, they could only watch as the Crimsons observed them in the sea, and the Fleets they just built stared back, waiting.
Finally, the time to siege the Medium City commenced. It was led by Etherea, Anastasia, and Xue Yoler, who directly commended the land forces and navy, and the special force’s troops and navy, respectively.
Ever since the land forces arrived at the Asabas Region’s northern territory, they started taking prisoners, something that never really happened until the enemy was in their last throes and as the war was finally ending. Not this time, though. The prisoners became more and more, and the Crimsons weren’t hiding it. The world could see it.
The news anchor working with the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory could see it, the other news anchors that have been arriving for the last few years, with hired guards, also saw it. Although it was the ‘second last’ war in a Region in the Stormy Calm Sea, which once shook the world with their brazenness to attack, massacre, and drive out other Existential Sixth Step organizations. Not many were actively interested in it.
They waited for the moment when the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory and the other 3* Region finally fought it out. That would be something interesting watching. No matter the level both parties were, 3* Regions’ warring among each other could only be catastrophically humongous.
The Asabas Region was given up at last. The inhabitants accepted their fate, but it didn’t mean they were contented to join the winners. They silently cooperated, boarding the large vessels and moving to the Turtle Hiding Region, where numerous refugee camps spanned nearly as wide as a Small City. But that was a matter for them to worry about, as the war continued in the southwest. It hadn’t stopped just because the Asabas Region had fallen, although the Crimsons enjoyed a 10-day break.
After the break, things went on as predicted. The Crimson Fleets boarded their soldier units again, but this time, it wasn’t all of them in each Fleet. The enemy had placed a lot of importance on the underwater section of their sea territory, so any other little surprise was impossible from the get-go. To send their soldier units in the Fleets could be dangerous with all the fortifications the Non-Presentable Calm Region built at the sea.
The Fleets were sent full-speed ahead. For the first time, a naval battle unfolded in the Stormy Calm Sea. The Non-Presentable Calm Region’s northeastern territory was rushed at by the Fleets, but these were intercepted still a million kilometers away.
It wasn’t all the Crimson Fleets flooding towards there. Only about 30 Fleets were stopped by the enemy Fleets and their sea fortifications. The battle erupted as soon as both parties fired at the other with their Frigates. They still rushed at each other, finding any possible spot where they could ram through and crash with each other.
The warships to crash with each other and clash in close quarters, more or less, were left alone, not bombarded by anyone attacking from afar. Energy attacks rivaled the bullets and artillery’s glow as they decorated the air between both sides. The naval battle was monstrous.
The forts on the water weren’t as tough as the inland forts, but they achieved their purpose and became an important asset to defend against the Crimsons. On the other hand, the Crimsons’ expertise and number were all on their side, but they only reached a stalemate with all those sea fortifications. They could only send their 3 Fleets full of soldier units after several hours of battle.
Those 3 Fleets were under heavy threat by the enemy Fleets, which retreated and chased after them, but the other Fleets readily protected them and supported them from afar. In a swift, almost impossible series of movements by the navy, the Crimsons moved a few Fleets away, protecting the 3 full Fleets as they received bombardment from the coastal defenses. They directly disembarked hundreds of millions on the lowest northeastern shore of the Region’s northern territory.
When they were near the land, instead of waiting to take the enemy coastal defenses out, the 3 Fleets rushed into the land, breaking apart the sand as their hulls caved enormous crevices in the shores. The soldier units and crew members worked together and set out to clean the surroundings, thousands of Warships inland were still aided by their escort Fleets.
They fought for several weeks until they formed a perimeter, taking the whole northeastern shore and a few tens of thousands of kilometers further inland as their occupied territory. They built defenses and set up many pieces of arsenal to defend against any enemy.
Meanwhile, the naval battles continued to rage in the Stormy Calm Sea. The Crimsons didn’t brainlessly force the enemy into a furious, heartless war to do or die. They constantly drew the enemy’s attention to the sea, while the other Fleets disembarked their soldier units at the western and southern shores. Their attempts weren’t as difficult as those who moved and battled near the Stormy Calm Sea’s center.
However, they still had many enemy defenses firing at them without stopping, always placing a heavy burden on their disembarking operations. Unlike the other 30 Fleets at the Region’s north, they didn’t fill their warships with soldier units, only allowing some of their warships to disembark soldier units, protected by the rest of their Fleet.
They constantly poured the enemy shores with their soldier units, tens of millions a day. Little by little, those tens of millions became a few hundred million everywhere throughout the western and southern shores.
It wasn’t the same case in the Region’s northeast. The Crimson Fleets couldn’t send another 3 Fleets full of soldier units, not even 1. The enemy adapted quickly, putting their south and west in risk while protecting their northeast. Even then, they defended like champions and only lost about 2 Fleets in a few weeks. Of course, the Crimsons barely lost warships and crew members, always supporting their retreat when any of their Fleets were receiving too much well-concentrated damage.
Although the close-quarters battles after crashing weren’t always resulting in winners, and the Crimsons would rather destroy both their warships than let the enemy achieve victory. The Crimsons nearly always won those clashes, while the enemy only had that chance a few times.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Even then, the Crimsons didn’t lose warships when firing at long or short distances. They were always timely protected by the bigger babies. Or other big babies.
Meanwhile, the enemy couldn’t afford to launch a bombardment to the Crimsons on their shores. When they tried, the Crimsons launched rockets like crazy, as if threatening to burn each other down without a care for the consequences. After all, it was an easy target that, unlike at their other shores, couldn’t receive an influx of soldier units to prepare something else. Although the initial disembarking was massive.
But it all changed when the special force appeared again! This time, they didn’t show up in a special or surprising way. Instead, they simply navigated from the Stormy Calm Sea’s center directly to the Non-Presentable Calm Region’s northeastern territory.
It couldn’t be any more simple. The special force’s navy moved from far away amidst a battlefield into it. They were supporting each other with Incinerating Bolt battle array formations. Their defense was overwhelmingly enhanced, with each Flotilla connected together as they rammed into the enemy battle formation. They received wholly concentrated bombardment, with many other enemy warships attempting to crash into them, but it didn’t work.
The special force’s navy was like a mobile grand array formation, and the enemy didn’t have a countering battle array formation to stop them. Meanwhile, the other Fleets used this chance to bombard the enemy Fleets, downing 6 of them while they chased the special force, turning it into a 3-way chase where the head was the special force.
The day ended when the special force’s Fleet arrived before the shores where the other soldier units have already prepared a rapid disembarking to aid the special force’s navy. They rushed inland as the enemy Fleets were only 2 after more than 20 hours chasing them. When they failed to stop another disembarking and looked at their tails, they were found out they followed by 30 Fleets which didn’t give a fuck bout the hundreds of sea fortifications and kept going after them.
While the Fleets suffered some damage, it was nothing compared to the enemy losing all their navy and getting ko’ed out of the water. For the following days, as Anastasia and Molto rearranged their troops and discussed with the Captain in charge, the Fleets exterminated the remaining 2 enemy Fleets.
Afterwards, they spread throughout the Non-Presentable Calm Region’s sea territory to help take down the remaining enemy sea fortifications and destroy the enemy coastal defenses. Meanwhile, a week after the special force disembarked, they set out to occupy more territory and started forcing civilians away to the Turtle Hiding Region. It was no longer a problem after the special force caused the fall of the enemy’s navy.
From then on, and after the sea was cleared from any enemy influence, the disembarking became smooth. It could only remain as such for the rest of the war. Although the Non-Presentable Calm Region was slightly larger than the Turtle Hiding Region, and weren’t as rich, their environment was denser.
Their population was above the Turtle Hiding Region before the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s arrival. It only continued to grow as usual, but their foundation was firmer than the Region chosen as the freely shared territory among other Existential Sixth Step organizations.
While the disembarking was faster and more abundant, the occupation of the Region’s territory was slow. For starters, everywhere except for the north was filled with the Chief’s land forces. They slowly pushed forth, gaining more territory every day, but it was barely nothing in comparison to their other conquests.
This was also the first 3* Region the Crimsons fully invade, and not partially, as it had done with the Turtle Hiding Region. The grand lake at the middle in the west of the Region made it easier for the land forces to advance, although it would also complicate things when they tried to move to the center from there.
Either way, no matter how prepared the enemy was, when their sea fortifications were wiped out, they had to face the Chief’s land forces and navy alone. Their troops constantly retreated, chased with energy attack cutting open their backs or citizens’ rifles firing at the back of their heads. The enemy would first face the Crimsons, then perhaps remain in a stalemate for a week at most before slowly losing.
Afterwards, they could only face the Crimsons with half their hearts in the grave before being allowed to retreat. That was when their bodies would fall from the skies or their armored vehicles, still trying to live as they wanted to keep fighting, not to surrender.
Slowly, little by little, the news anchor with the Crimsons showed the images 25/7, of the Non-Presentable Calm Region’s territory closed in by the Crimsons from the south, west, northeast, and east. The enemy tried assaulting the Cas Ca Bel Regions at some point, but they were scared silly by the Crimsons, who immediately rushed their advancement like never before, taking about 10% of the enemy territory as punishment. Meanwhile, while the garrison units harshly defended their islands Regions, they suffered greatly but still stood strong.
In the end, the Cas Ca Bel Regions resisted until the enemy was forced back to slow the Crimsons’ advancement.
There were many ups and downs for either side, but neither was catastrophic, always managing to moderate such possibilities. Although there was 1 different occasion. Such as when the enemy launched a mobilization to retake their lost territory hundreds of thousands of meters behind the Crimsons’ advancing frontlines. Unfortunately, they were ambushed by awaiting Fleets which rushed into the sky and bombarded them like playing an aiming and shoot sport.
A vast quantity of enemy troops were annihilated that time, leaving to another decrease in spirits in the inhabitants’ hearts.
Like this, the day finally came in which the Region’s Large City was finally under siege. The Crimsons prepared for 1 month, keeping only peacefulness and breathing sounds throughout both sides. Neither party attacked or bombarded the other for a month. After several years of war in the Region, most cultivators and citizens weren’t homesick and could deal with even decades away from home. However, this wasn’t for everyone. Unfortunately, they couldn’t be replaced.
And then, the siege began…
The Crimsons didn’t use rockets, and neither did the enemy. Their leading figures stood atop their highest building, watching as their Large City’s grand array formation lasted hundreds of days before finally breaking apart along its protective array formations.
The enemy relied on these to last this far, but the Crimsons somehow made it in and sabotaged it from the inside, blowing up with an explosion of hundreds of kilometers into the sky. Fortunately, the diameter wasn’t as exaggerated.
It was the enemy’s fault for having so many Supreme Vigor Stones and 100 Star Vigor Stones rendered useless, not able to steal them, connected to the array formations powering the grand array formation and the protective array formations.
After that, it only took a year for the Large City to constantly fall to the Crimsons’ occupation, turning it into a prison, which only the remaining enemy troops didn’t know it had become like that. Month after month, the Large City was reduced to only its central building remaining.
It was changed to look more like a mini-fortress, a castle. The siege to take this structure down took 5 days. In those 5 days, the Crimsons fought day and night, not giving any of the remaining enemy soldier units a breather. With the sight of the Large City burning around the central building, and long trails of smoke soaring into the heavens from the distance, the last few hours of the ‘independent’ Stormy Calm Sea were finally ending.
… Currently, Fighters overflew the enemy’s central building, barely standing with flames on its first floors, shaking every few seconds. It seemed like it could break down and tumble at any given moment. But it remained still, defending against the Crimsons’ firepower and soldier units pouring in like they were endless.
Whenever a Crimson was heavily injured or in peril, the nearest soldier units would work their asses to bring that person to safety. It didn’t always work, but it did nearly most of the time. The battle continued, with half the Crimsons watching from afar as their bodies and minds have become exhausted.
FWOOOSH…!!
Suddenly, a figure soared from the uppermost floor in the central building. From it, a person holding another person’s neck showed. Heian Ciemnosc’s figure could be discerned, but the person whose neck he clutched was not. Before the dust and dark Vigor Energy left his victim, and the others could identify who that was, Heian Ciemnosc threw the person back to the central building. In the last moment, another figure appeared atop the central building and shouted.
“Nooo!” A beautiful lady tried catching the figure Heian Ciemnosc threw. She succeeded, but she couldn’t stop the force behind the throw. That was 300,000 kg of bodily strength, as natural force, which she couldn’t stop with her peak Universe realm cultivation. Heian Ciemnosc watched from above as the Non-Presentable Calm Region’s remaining leading figures fell down with the central building. The lady’s torso was squarely hit.
“RETREAT!” - “Fall behind!” - “Hahahahaha! That’s the Chief for ya!” - “It’s coming down!”
CRUMBLE CRUMBLE- RUUUMBLEEEE~~!!!
The central building collapsed, with the last few Crimsons barely surviving the insanely rapid collapse. The central building was nearly 10,000 km tall. The time it took to fall down seemed slow, but it was insanely quick. Heian Ciemnosc watched for 30 seconds before the central building became nonexistent and only rubble and clouds of dust remained.
Whoooosh…
Heian Ciemnosc calmly flew down through the dust until he arrived before the ground on which 2 bodies lay powerlessly. One of them belonged to George, lifeless and obscured by the explosions, burnt by the flames coming down the central building, and from his fight with Heian Ciemnosc.
The other belonged to the beautiful lady, who struggled to stand up. Heian Ciemnosc remained in the air, impassive. The lady walked to her lover with difficulty, each step too hard to walk normally. When she arrived before George, she stopped, standing on his left before looking at Heian Ciemnosc.
“This is your victory, black monster. Surely you won’t deny me now,” the lady said before focusing her eyes on Heian Ciemnosc’s body. Heian Ciemnosc didn’t say anything and continued to watch. The lady breathed a sigh of relief before placing her left thumb’s back nail on the right side of her neck. She peacefully said, “I have no idea what the future will be like… But wish you luck… I can only hope so for the man who destroyed me and George’s ambitions.”
Splutter!
The lady cut her throat with a smooth movement, empowered by her Dantian’s Vigor Energy directly bursting. Her blood flew through the air like an inverse cascade before falling on George’s left shoulder. She gradually closed her eyes.
“… Your leader has perished. You’ve lost your land… You’ve lost. The war is over!” Heian Ciemnosc watched them and nodded slightly before infusing his voice with dark Vigor Energy. Then, his eerily calm announcement traversed the whole Stormy Calm Sea and more at once. A deafening silence fell on the world…
“HUAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!” Before it broke apart, erupting in loud roars everywhere around the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory except for the 3 southern Regions.
Immediately, the remaining few million soldier units dropped their weapons. The leading figures of the Ephemon Region closed their eyes, losing all hope. The Crimsons apprehended the enemy soldier units, who felt as if they had played a game of kind and evil against each other, but if finally ended. As if they were never enemies and could now relax… The war, at the Stormy Calm Sea, had ended.
…
