Distribution And Preparation
"The Rocaloi Academy congratulates the Genius Ciemnosc for taking back the mines of the entire west, also recuperating the academy's previous shame, and would like to let our Chief know that if such great victories are achieved more, again and again... He may very well receive... another title that is even above what a Genius can be considered!" The female leading student said, making the eyes of everyone in the main tent grow and remain widened for quite a bit.
“Continue,” Ciemnosc gestured lightly for the girly, and the girly did as told after nodding to her Chief. Her voice is as clear and melodic as before, “The academy is also grateful for the direct passing of the ownership of the mines and its full resources left for the academy as well. They have given the forces of the Chief in Command, and within his knowledge, the possibility of mining new mines that aren’t part of the academy already or had been sighted before.”
“Additionally, a total of 400,000 new Spirit Gathering realm students and leading students will be making their way to the Chief in Command’s base. However, due to the possibility of the major organizations refusing such a number of reinforcement, there might be changes to the number and it may even be halved before they are sent. Additionally, the major organizations might want to take advantage of this. But the Chief shouldn’t worry as back in the academy they will do anything they can to ensure not too many enemy heads appear in the next bout.”
“That is mostly it, Chief in Command.” The girly said, lowering her hands, and the Conflagrate realm Power Energy from her body began shredding the letter to pieces, all until unrecognizable fragments remained even for a cultivator, impossible to amend ever again.
“Mn.” Ciemnosc nodded, standing up and looking at everyone in the main tent, who now had overly heavy expressions on their faces but with excitement also never leaving their faces. As he stood with his back straight, he looked around at them a bit more before beginning, his tone still flat. “As you can see, we can expect around 200,000 new strong students. With that, we will be able to open at least another ten or even a dozen mines.”
“With the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a few things that would be of help for the sake of mining more efficiently and getting less and less tired when doing so. These tools will be produced shortly after once we have the numbers to distribute them. Not even a 10th of our numbers, even if it’s that ‘less than half’, would be needed to open a dozen mines, and maybe it would indeed take a third if we go for a second dozen.”
“But these new mining tools and safe measurements are only usable to cultivators of the Spirit Gathering realm and above, no Phrenic realm cultivator or below would be able to mine with them.” Ciemnosc elaborated, looked at the leading students who weren’t having any concerning facial expressions, and just as always, flatly continued. “Then start making preparations, you will have to make sure the new leading students become acclimatized to the base as soon as possible.”
“And tell your students, the new ones have to learn fast what they need to do and understand the base’s rules.” Ciemnosc made a slight pause, his eyes looked down but then he lifted his gaze almost right after. “I haven’t softened up, unfortunately.”
“After things have gotten better, I will select some of them and add them to the Craftsmaking division. They will be the ones taking care of emergency repairs on the field, designing temporary camps, and creating the tools, armored cars, and cannons that you will all use in the future.”
“It will be a long time before everyone can have an armored car, so they will first be distributed evenly among all my troops.” Ciemnosc continued on his words slightly hinting that he was about to finish talking. “But, one or two of you will receive the very first armored cars. And not only that, but the ones selected will have their entire troops all inside an armored car next time you come out with me; or on my orders.”
“!!” The leading students barely held the ‘necessity’ of jumping up from their seats. But their faces were all that was clearly needed, and Ciemnosc was quite satisfied with their expressions, but he wasn’t trying to do a roulette or random selection.
With his voice going a bit quieter, Ciemnosc added, “In the next few weeks, I reckon many from the major organizations will try to get us back however they can. Starting right after the newcomers are situated and set within the base, your new regiment will be added with some forestal collection of resources, new construction sites in the base, new tactics training, and a few of you will be selected for some secret training as well.”
“Depending on your results during these next few weeks, the one or few ones to have their entire troops with armored cars will be selected, do some hard work,” Ciemnosc said, slowly stepping back and then letting his teammates take charge. He stepped out of the main tent without saying much. But it wasn’t that he didn’t want to deal with any more logistics or situations to address with the huge newcomers; he just had a fucking lot of things to get ready by the time the new batch of students arrived.
In the next half a month, which right now was just about the 12th week and 2 days since the start of the mission, and Ciemnosc was just 4 months short of becoming 12 years old, it was bound to be quite busy all within the base and around. Several more and new faces will have to slowly turn stern and serious when dealing with matters of importance, just like the current students in his base do.
Without thinking too much into it and already making quite some plans inside his head to proceed with the preparation of not only the next, not few, and coming skirmishes but also from the slightly far but near future problematic situation: the Little Lake’s conquest. Ciemnosc sat in his personal bedroom, and with his Spirit Sense at work, he began taking corpse after corpse, well maintained, and feasting on them little by little.
Ciemnosc had just broken through into the 7th stage not even 24 hours ago. And while the fastest among the cultivators of the Spirit Gathering realm take around 10 years, some just a few years less than that, to break through into the Conflagrate realm, Ciemnosc wasn’t even going to take a year before seemingly reaching the peak of the Spirit Gathering realm…
Munch after munch, sitting cross-legged on the ground and having already swept his dark Power Energy all within and around the corpses to clean them up, Ciemnosc was to be undisturbed every time he was to begin extremely solidifying his foundation.
. . .
From the 13th week, or 3 months and 1 week with an extra 2 days, it was now the 4th month and the 5th day of the 1st week. The base was one without much to speak of had become a bit bustling, and now contained slightly loud noise at all times of the day.
But with the addition of a total of 210,000 new students at the Spirit Gathering realm, instead of the firstly intended 400,000 or so, new rules had to be made for the sake of Ciemnosc not growing fucking tired of dealing with child-like mannerisms from the newbies. Though he was a child himself…
The night was ‘sacred’, so to speak, and to make a clamoring noise in the night was the same as insubordination and whoever dared to do so was to be punished. It was the same punishment as before, with a bit more pressure, weight, and exhaustion, but the same that the first arriving students had to go through to understand Ciemnosc’s seriousness on the matter.
As for the lovely nights of the students, the new division consisting of students is quite capable in terms of at least one profession. But that could learn arrays, at least to its elementary studies. And when working together they could even inscribe basic array formations. They were practically making money with their pre-inscribed array formations that allowed for one’s screams, and loud moans, to not be audible to those outside the array.
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
And so, every night, Ciemnosc had to shake his head a little seeing the small sea of array formations all around the dormitories, some still in their tents while brand new dormitories were being built. But the earnings from such pre-inscribed array formations, which could be utilized more than ‘just’ several times, were of course mostly given to the base to Ciemnosc.
After all, not only was he the one to ‘invent’ the several-use ‘feature’ of the pre-inscribed array formations that were really damn popular, surpassing Ciemnosc’s expectations, but that wasn’t something that mattered… that much for his base. He was also the one who gave them all shelter and the opportunity to bang whoever they wanted, consensually, without being afraid of the academy’s regulations when finding a naughty pair.
Anyway, that was for the little drama of the students. But inside the base, with training going on nonstop, the new students that were here after marching for so long like heroes being sent to save the world got a huge wake up call as more than half of them were directly in ‘punishment classes’ or detention for breaking rule after rule together - in the beginning.
The first few days of the new students were worse than the first arriving students thought of, it was just much worse!
To start with, the new students already had somewhere to be around, not just with tents all over the place and moans audible all around them who just tried to cultivate but had to end up looking for a mate in the end; or worst, deal with it ‘single handedly’ for whoever they were.
However, despite having such a much easier daily livelihood when it wasn’t time to train with other students and of the ‘weird’ tactics of their Chief in Command, things that were of actual help towards the first mobilization made by the Chief himself; the new students’ first few days were that bad.
A few weeks later though, the entire first batch of new students and the first students themselves were already training cooperatively with each other and gaining experience from one another. As there was already quite a couple of months since the first students had been training together when the more than 210,000 new students arrived and provided their own sights and findings when training, it was much more in quantity than the tens of thousands of first students.
Numbers were very helpful like this, too. And by the end of the 2nd week, the integration of the new students was enough to the point that there could finally be a large opening of mines. First and foremost, of course, the base would open about another 10 of such mines and not chew more than they can even put into their mouths.
From the start of the 3rd week since the first batch of students, the new students were already acclimatizing, no longer ‘new’ but ‘just’ students that were part of the base. From their ranks more and more leading students were chosen and raised from the ‘ground’.
They were still quite a lot, and Ciemnosc was in fact quite comfortable with the current number of 260,000+ students under his command. But it wasn’t all just about training and collecting more resources. For starters, the small woods and thickets around started to become desolate with the deforestation all around the base, but mostly in the direction of the Little Lake.
According to what his eyes, senses, and Spirit Sense told him, Ciemnosc had his troops make a clean shave of anything that was going to be immensely needed in the future. And there had to even be a second storage building. Considering how tall and how many floors underground the storage building had, as well as how wide it was, to make another one only signified to the students of the huge kind of shit they were going to be doing in the future!
Anyways, during the month that the new students were getting integrated into Ciemnosc’s base, as basically an independent force under the Rocaloi Academy and in its territory. Some light sightings of the enemy were spotted close to the Little Lake on the side of the west, which were looking for any kind of terrain in the direction of their base, according to the reports.
While Ciemnosc was expressionless when such reports were coming every few days from the patrolling students. In his head, he was only thinking that, in the end, what he left on the enemy’s side was still a bit of his own thoughts, as the major organizations from before his arrival at the Self-Mutilating Honores Sect wouldn’t be scouting for ‘paths’ but for targets to take down in the best way possible.
If anything, those scouts were ‘similar’ to how he used Schnell and her few men and women that had the most potential in being silent, quick, and pretty damn efficient in not being seen even by Spirit Sense from so close to their targets.
Those scouts’ work was to slowly identify all of the possibilities in order to take an enemy’s base as best as possible. Of course, with Ciemnosc teaching the students, or at least telling them to not be impulsive and to always aim for secrecy when patrolling and not just find enemies, kill enemies, and then return - those scouts who didn’t even move with the secrecy around the terrain were left alive thinking they were doing a great job… until…
At some point within the month, just as Ciemnosc was getting started with teaching the students how to build armored cars and cannons, him being the one needed for most of the arrays, as no matter how capable these students could be, their lack of technology also meant their array formation learning was quite good but still slower than what Ciemnosc needed.
There was a need for the base to ‘respond’ to those unsuspecting enemy scouts and, hence, of the enemy that was seemingly trying to establish their own temporary base near the beginning of the Little Lake, just like Ciemnosc did recently but more like he did with his stronghold with a port already being built.
Of course, this wasn’t info that the students got, but what Ciemnosc could spy on with his Personal Token having long ago intruded into the Self-Mutilating Honores Sect’s arrays spanning all over its sect’s territory…
In the end, however, Ciemnosc wasn’t going to waste his time dealing with some simple fanatic enemies who were either trying to copy him or do the same as he did by what they heard and were told to do. It was a nice try, but it lacked all the infrastructure that made his stronghold or even his outposts from back then be maintained on their own. Either because of low manpower or because it was too costly.
Ciemnosc decided to send some leading students as such, to not only interrupt the building of such an enemy’s temporary base to the northeast of the base but also to make a quick sighting of the Little Lake’s surroundings from where it began. All of this was happening barely around the time that it was half of the 3rd week of the month that the new students were getting used to the base’s environment.
A few leading students armed themselves first with bravery and valor before Ciemnosc then presented them with a whole new 10 armored cars, all for the sake of only defending them from possible enemy cannons. Nothing else. All they would be relying on to storm that enemy's temporary base and kill the enemies within it would be their hands, namely, their tools and cultivation base.
While Ciemnosc asked a large number of leading students, all those who showed potential for military mobilization more especially than any other within the ranks of his leading students, including the new ones who rose from the ‘ordinary student’ label. Only a few leading students were ballsy enough to take on Ciemnosc’s mission, and so did some armored cars moving at the cultivators’ marching once again left the base.
This time, it was just leading students going to a battle that they only knew information from their Chief. Which Ciemnosc held not a single bit of information and procured it all to the few leading students leading their few tens of thousands of troops out to fight.
On the other hand, during the rest of the 3rd week, Ciemnosc had already begun the crafting of several tons of armored cars and a much lesser amount of cannons but still a lot. While in the making of these cannons and armored cars Ciemnosc found out that… it would be too much to make a cannon for every armored car, not only in terms of resources, which would fully be depleted if done just in that way.
It was also the fact that cannons took much more time because the machines that Ciemnosc made for this very same purpose were incredibly sharp and precise, needing many rearrangements even for the best steel that the base produced. The armored cars just needed to be hella thick and have the slight tweaks that Ciemnosc implemented in their creation process to be a little resistant to the environment.
The arrays of the Synergized Equatrend Mobilizers were all easy peasy for Ciemnosc to do. He could even do some with his left hand while his right hand was in the middle of writing a letter back to the workshop at the academy or when he was ‘playing’ with one of his teammates.
Well, the only reason none of his teammates accompanied the leading students to storm into the enemy’s temporary base was simply due to the fact… that they had too much to learn for what he was preparing for in the future. Thankfully, however, and due to the teachings he has given them in Spirit Sense, only this time would they be skipping such an important mission and the next few would be with them already knowing and having learned all that they needed to know of and learn for their own good.
Ciemnosc figured that, if he were to dive deeper in and speak to them of what he was capable of, he might make them think he either has ‘I am god’ tendencies or make them feel as if he was a god, and they should venerate him. Not a single record, whether the east or the west, has any data of what Ciemnosc’s Spirit Sense is even remotely capable of, as he could now very well tell that he has had Spirit Sense since… he was a baby.
