The Interchanging Dust Dynasty's Weakness
Pew, pew, pew- cuh, cuh, cuh!
Within just a few seconds, those nearly 1,000 dark Wind blades cut through the air and stabbed the blurred painting. Most disappeared after going inside, but the rest came out and targeted everywhere around Gora's blurred image. While some landed on Heian Ciemnosc's body, after realizing there was no effect on him, Gora simply decided to give himself a lighter time without focusing on his Supreme Art. Even then, his body could be seen getting hurt, stabbed, and cut through before dissipating by the dark Wind blades as this brief moment passed by.
Heian Ciemnosc watched as the last dozen dark Wind blades projected from Gora’s blurred body as the golden luster finally started losing its glimmer. Just then, while Gora should’ve been hurt and his Supreme Art deactivated, his right hand came into view again. His wrist’s bone could be seen from its left side as it held 3 papers between his index, middle, and ring fingers… before directly letting go of them!
“!” Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes shrunk their pupils as, from the 2 thin, dark barriers, 2 Vocón Links sub-bodies came out of them! The talismans were pale yellow and had thread-like, red writing as they flew from the air towards Heian Ciemnosc’s head. At the same time, the last vestige of the golden luster from Gora’s blurred painting streaked backwards, backing the fuck away from Heian Ciemnosc!
… … … … KA-POOOOOOOM! WHOOSH, WHOOSH, WHOOSH, WHOOSH!
Heian Ciemnosc’s body couldn’t escape danger in time even as he quickly reacted. As the sub-bodies came out of the dark barriers, they became dark mass, intangible, neither solid nor liquid, or gas, and formed a wall to cover Heian Ciemnosc’s body from above before immediately caging his surroundings in dark Power Energy. Just before the talismans, already set ablaze with the same corners of their structure illuminated by bright, pale yellow fire, were about to explode, Heian Ciemnosc was shrouded in a protective dark layer.
The darkness, obscuring the morning light, was finally lifted. So were the spectators’ ears blasted with the explosion noises even after it went through the systems’ balancing and reconfiguration. However, it didn’t even harm civilians, but it would scare the shit out of them. The 3 talismans created 3 different globes of destruction in the air, destroying a part of the arena but absorbed by the dark protective walls around Heian Ciemnosc.
Only now did the crowd understand something. Those barriers weren’t to create those dark Wind blades, or at least not only for that matter. They were for an extra move! They could either protect Heian Ciemnosc or attack his target, not just to mimic the Milblades Storm’s Category 1. Yet, as they realized this, the arena where Heian Ciemnosc was seemingly blasted to oblivion continued to glow with the 3 explosion globes, each one 30 meters in diameter, slowly disintegrating as a few seconds came and went.
“... … … …” The crowd looked with rapt attention, not finding any movement until a glow flashed on the other side of the arena, where the remaining golden luster had escaped. Everyone could see as Gora struggled to stand up from the floor, his body somewhat bloody, but other than that, he didn’t seem to be in grievous injuries. After standing up, Gora’s body was more visible, and his arms could be seen with many cuts, some exposing his bones, flesh, and muscles.
However, his legs were the creepiest looking yet the more ordinary sight on him. They weren’t too bloody, but each had at least a couple dozen stabs. It was unknown why they weren’t bleeding, but it was clear that it affected Gora, as the first thing he did after standing up was to look in Heian Ciemnosc’s direction, with difficulty, and chomp pill after pill down his throat.
“Hm… gahh,” Gora panted as he watched the smoke clear up, but his Spirit Sense had already latched onto the rectangular, dark barrier around where Heian Ciemnosc should’ve been. It wasn’t even cracked. And at most, it seemed to have thinned out while the rest of the arena was leveled down a couple tens of inches. Gora’s eyes turned somewhat heavy upon seeing Heian Ciemnosc’s defensive measures not damaged. ‘Dammit! I used my best talismans… I thought only Kilah would force me! Dammit, dammit, dammit!’
Craaaaaaack! Pshift- … … … … Just as Gora lamented his arsenal being wasted, the rectangular, dark barrier in the distance cracked open from the middle as a figure jumped from it. Gora was astounded, unwilling to believe Heian Ciemnosc would be this fine after all he had invested into this fight, much more than he thought it would be. For starters… Gora didn’t keep his Consequential 3-Eye Supreme Art activated after receiving Heian Ciemnosc’s imitation of the Obscure Orb Sect’s Supreme Art.
Pshift, peew- bom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bom- … … … … whoosh!
However, Heian Ciemnosc didn’t give Gora time to think as he immediately deployed dark Power Energy attacks, sending dark balls, one after another, as he flew into the sky, and his dark tail started growing from his tailbone. Gora sensed the power behind those dark energy balls and immediately took his saber out. However, as soon as he brandished it downwards, holding it in his right hand to pose in preparation and holding his right ribs with his left hand, the saber crumbled into metallic dust onto the floor.
“Huh?!” Gora mentally wailed at the loss of another powerful weapon, but the dark energy balls started landing on the floor just a few meters before him. When the first one fell, it showed its power despite lacking beauty or a loud noise by directly opening a crater on the ground several feet in diameter. The other dark energy balls weren’t slow to follow, immediately decorating the ground and turning it into an imminent fear, but only for Gora.
“Agh!” Gora jumped into the air, his mangled arms flashing as majestic energy seemed to come from within his body, his torso, or his heart. It circled around his arms, from his armpits to his hands, intertwining each of his fingers to make the shape of something as Gora flew with Consequential 3-Eye Supreme Art’s partial activation.
Heian Ciemnosc’s dark energy balls created a crude pathway to where Gora was, but he had already flown away at high speed and increased as something seemed to form between his hands. Heian Ciemnosc chased, but knowing he could not catch up, he observed Gora as he flew to the other extremes of the arena.
Between Gora’s hands, a shaft was being constructed, seemingly by energy itself, as pure energy wasn’t involved. However, this reminded Heian Ciemnosc a lot of an Artifact, yet a weapon, at the same time. Heian Ciemnosc’s eyebrows sunk a little as he determined what it was, and sure enough, before Gora decided to descend, a bow appeared in his hands.
It was dark green, with a metallic surface, and barely had any curving fore and rear limbs, but its extremities were suddenly curved with an energy bowstring attaching both extremities. Heian Ciemnosc was just observing it and understanding this top-notch Earth grade bow when Gora’s hands displayed dexterity he didn’t have before, pulling it just slightly, but that was enough to threaten a Heian Ciemnosc who didn’t know any better.
Pshift- PEEEEWWW~!
“!” Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes reacted, but when he did, an arrow was already pressing against his forehead. Heian Ciemnosc’s body momentarily stopped before suddenly shooting into the sky, up and nearly outside the arena! However, Heian Ciemnosc’s dark Power Energy spread from his back, forming shapeless, dark limbs that seemed to suddenly get stuck in midair, trying to stop his body from being disqualified.
Pshift- PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW PEEW… CRACK, CRACK, CRACK- boom, boom, boom, boom…! “Urgh!” Seeing this outcome, Gora growled and was forced to try something else. While Heian Ciemnosc’s body continued to fly backwards, helplessly enduring the 1 meter long arrow trying to drill into his forehead, engulfed with Neutral Energy furiously cycling around it.
Gora continued fleeing until finding the extremity he wanted. Aiming his Earth bow at the ground, he entirely pulled the bowstring, targeting the arena’s floor as hills upon hills formed to draw a perimeter, distancing and walling up against Heian Ciemnosc for whenever he recuperated. The only reason Gora didn’t shoot any additional arrows at Heian Ciemnosc was because he wanted to secure his safety rather than to go all-out in the offensive and get caught by Heian Ciemnosc’s strange dark whips or that entrapping, golden tool.
The sounds of each arrow from a fully pulled bowstring were much greater than what the stadium had heard before, but Heian Ciemnosc was too busy with the first arrow he received to care. Finally, Heian Ciemnosc’s body was no longer restrained by this arrow, and his dark Power Energy smoothly reached out to it to destabilize it. Heian Ciemnosc’s strands of dark Power Energy gently encircled it, searching for its core structure. When it was found, the dark Power Energy. It dissipated like smoke, leaving nothing behind. Not even a powerful remnant.
Stolen novel; please report.
‘So he can’t use it well, hm.’ Heian Ciemnosc thought as he directed his face to watch where Gora had been digging safety trenches. His Spirit Sense had caught everything, and after watching this cockroach move around so much, with an Earth weapon in hand, and after daring to do so many ‘things’ wrong against him, Heian Ciemnosc was ready to end this fight.
“...” Heian Ciemnosc headed towards Gora, flying in silence as the surrounding atmosphere in the 80,000 kilometers began turning cold. This affected 2 sides of the bleachers due to this arena’s position. Meanwhile, their arena began descending, slowly catching up with the rest of the arenas still fighting. Teno had already fought and won his duel, while only Heian Ciemnosc and Gora were the remaining ‘famous’ duelists.
Now, practically every spectator had their sight on Heian Ciemnosc and Gora, to the misfortune of the remaining duelists.
Pshift- PEEW! Heian Ciemnosc’s ears rang as a tiny flash went off from the distance. Gora pulled his bowstring to a full and sent one arrow, then another. As arrows were shot towards Heian Ciemnosc, he noticed their trajectory changing to differ from one another before taking maximum speed, moving towards him! Heian Ciemnosc put his pale palms together as he saw the increasing torrent of arrows form from below.
Pshiiift~! Whooooooosh! WHOOOSH~~!
As Heian Ciemnosc separated his palms and extended his arms fully to the sides, facing his direct left and right, his dark Power Energy suddenly appeared below him, rising upwards all around him, and the Wind started dancing. Large waves of Wind gathered around him as his 1 meter long tail was impassive, hanging from his lower back.
“Haaa…” Heian Ciemnosc took a deep breath, and as he did, the arrows were just about to start raining on his body when the Wind gained quietness as if it had disappeared from existence everywhere near him in an 80,000-kilometer radius. The spectators were surprised, noticing the difference in the air around them, but the sight before them was about to get exciting. Afraid to speak in case that drew attention to themselves…
WHOOSH! SPLASH! FWUUUUUUOOOOOSHHHH…! FWEEEESHHH…!
Heian Ciemnosc’s arms suddenly faced the front, and the stillness of the air everywhere around him suddenly surged. As if countless wind were hidden in another space, torrents the size of several dozen-story buildings formed above his left and right. The first one was 100 meters in diameter, directly charging forwards as if it had a life of its own, ignoring the ‘small’ arrows passing through it like a fish through water. But this slowed the arrows and wasted some of the Neutral Energy behind them.
On the other hand, the first Wind torrent was barely affected. Its body didn’t diminish in the slightest. But even if it was, Heian Ciemnosc would just pour a ton more of dark Power Energy into his technique and feed it, keeping it at peak condition. On the other side, Gora frowned as he felt the first Wind torrent’s threatening power, making him show himself as he rose into the air while channeling as much Neutral Energy towards his fingers.
The second torrent wasn’t as thick as the first, but it moved faster and had a sharper shape. Heian Ciemnosc controlled both with his Spirit Sense as he waited until both were coordinated to attack Gora together. He flew forwards after positioning them while Gora kept sending more arrows. However, all Heian Ciemnosc did was brandish his dark claws, and they would be slapped to the side or blocked.
And now that Gora was massing a counteroffensive, no more arrows flew towards Heian Ciemnosc as he neared the perimeter the hills formed. Just then. Heian Ciemnosc watched as Gora prepared to let go of the enhanced arrow. Gora’s arms trembled as shadows of more and more arrows, each 40 meters long, were forming around Gora. Heian Ciemnosc stopped flying forwards at maximum speed and allowed his tail to start growing another meter while sending his Wind attacks forth.
FWUUUUUUUUUSHHHH… FWWWEEEEEESH…! …Pshiiiiftt! PEEEEW, PEEEEW, PEEEEW, PEEEW, PEEEW, PEEEW.
The immense torrents rushed forward. The first one simply charged head-on while the second zig-zagged its way towards Gora. Just as they were crossing the hills, Gora let go of the arrow in his right hand, and together with it, the other shadows around him shot forwards!
Breaaaaaaaaak! Cruuuuuuuuuggggghhhh! BOOOM, BOOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOOOM!
The massive arrow leading the others tore through the first Wind torrent’s lower body to the right, tearing open a massive hole as it gave way to the other arrows to penetrate through the rest of its body and around it with ease. Heian Ciemnosc commanded the sharper Wind torrent to rush towards Gora, but some of the other arrows self-imploded, turning into energy, smaller arrows, and shot towards it.
Each self-imploded 40 meters long arrow turned into at least 100 regular-sized energy arrows, each targeting the sharper Wind torrent as it zig-zagged towards Gora. The collision between the two wasn’t light, resulting in significant ripples in the air, detonating any sense of going easy in this fight. And seeing both cultivators fight with all they had, only to end up neutralizing each other’s moves, attracted the crowd’s beating hearts.
“Watch out! Oh my god!” One super excited Heian Ciemnosc’s fangirl shouted, pointing below Heian Ciemnosc, where the original arrow and its shadows were now aiming towards Heian Ciemnosc, like an elite squadron flying to their next target after blazing their first into nothingness. The crowd’s nerves tensed, and eyes widened as their pupils shrank, not wanting to miss any detail next.
“...” Heian Ciemnosc was expressionless as he looked at the ginormous arrows coming for his little life. These alone could very well heavily injure him, and Gora could just decide how to land the last hit on him to end him. However, Heian Ciemnosc was not troubled in the slightest, looking at the fearsome arrowheads horizontally diving through the air towards him. Out of nowhere, he lowered his right arm and made a grasping motion with the side of his index finger pressing hard against his thumb.
… … … …TUCK! Rumble, rumble, rumble, rumble… Vocón Link shot from his right hand’s knuckles, directly installing themselves underneath the arena’s floor as it started lightly shaking in separate spaces. Even though he wasn’t creating an earthquake, the spectators were intrigued but not distracted as the long arrows were about to arrive! Although the Godly beings had a change in their expression, nobody cared about them.
Tuck, tuck, tuck, tuck, tuck, tuck, tuck, tuck… Before the arrows arrived, and the spectators could know what the fuck Heian Ciemnosc was doing, Vocón Link projected dozens of sub-bodies to also drill into the ground. Their structure disappeared into the ground, doing untold things as they tainted, corrupted, and stole… but the crowd didn’t need to know that. On the other hand, Heian Ciemnosc jumped forwards, impulsed in midair, with his right fist still attaching the Vocón Link, only flaccid this time.
Cruaaaaaaaaawwwggg~!! Heian Ciemnosc stopped his body in midair as the Vocón Link and its sub-bodies dangled behind him. His pale hands faced skywards as his face hardened, with dark veins popping around his forehead and backhands. He couldn’t sweat, but if he could, buckets would be filled in under 3 seconds, as that’s all it took the arrows to arrive just 100 meters in front of Heian Ciemnosc.
But just then, from the ground, a fair distance from the Vocón Link and its sub-bodies’ drilling, sudden, earthen walls soared from the ground. They rose at a neck-breaking speed!!
PUSH- POSH- PAAAM, BOOM, BUUUM PUUUSHHH! Not prepared to face this sudden twist after getting rid of the second, sharper Wind torrent, Gora’s eyes widened in disbelief upon seeing Heian Ciemnosc lift 500 meters tall mountain walls out of nowhere!
“WHAT?!” - “Don’t tell me-” - “Bwahahahahahaaha! The Wrath Nihility Academy has 2 Elemental Chosen or what? Hahahaha! This Change is already interesting, hahahaha!” - “Congratulations, the Academy has such a bright future!” - “Let's go, Heian Ciemnosc!”
Some cheers broke out, as well as incredulous shouts and loud exclamations. Many, even from the Godly beings’ guest zone, stood from their chairs, looking at Heian Ciemnosc lift the earth across several thousand kilometers like it was nothing! Nothing! All the arrows crashed against them, turning into puffing smoke and energy that lasted briefly before dissipating.
Without waiting for anything, Heian Ciemnosc flew forwards, his 2 meters long dark tail was activated, and a smallish portion of his storage was consumed.
PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW!
However, Heian Ciemnosc’s body blurred into the distance, already understanding that Gora could only partially use his Supreme Art and couldn’t escape his clutches… it was time to end this!!
Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes were ultimately cold, serene, and lovable. However, his right claw was covered with dark Power Energy as he shot into the distance without a care for the world. At these moments, Gora’s body was engulfed in the first Wind torrent’s attack, blown backwards and barely harmed after broadly weakening it. But after noticing Heian Ciemnosc’s strange movement method from the unknown Supreme Art, Gora drew his bowstring again and prepared to shoot. Coincidentally, they had the same thought inside their heads. He had to end this fast! Already! As soon as possible!!
However, while Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes locked onto Gora’s body and Soul without letting go of for a moment’s notice, Gora was feeling despondent, heavy-hearted, and was low in spirits.
Pshift- PEEW, PEEW, PEEW, PEEW, PEEW… Gora started raining arrows towards Heian Ciemnosc, intending to barrage the shit out of that pale, damnably handsome face and gain some time so the medicinal pills could take effect, but the even more damnable dark Power Energy within him kept eating his flesh and tiny strands of his Neutral Energy!
‘Die! DIE ALREADY! When I grow, I will just decimate your Academy with my Dynasty!! To honor you, wretched beast…’
