Chapter 440 — One After Another, Wind Door!

One After Another, Wind Door!

... crackle, crackle. Heian Ciemnosc sat cross-legged with a bare torso in the middle of a strange scene. About several hours had gone by since Heian Ciemnosc finished the crab off. Currently, he was between walls of crab flesh and broken shells farther to the other extreme. Heian Ciemnosc's pale eyelids were pretty calm even though he had just 'broken' into solidifying his path to the late stage's elementary level. It's been an hour since he did, and now, he felt slightly hungry.

Whoosh. Grab, munch, munch munch… Heian Ciemnosc extended his left hand, and a piece of juicy white, somewhat rosy meat flew into his palm. About 10 tons swarmed towards him before stopping. His hand bringing some meat to eat was done by adding his Soul Energy, but the latter was achieved by his new understanding of the Earth element. Heian Ciemnosc didn’t grin or feel content as he opened his mouth, pale eyelids still low, and started devouring to fill his tummy to the brim.

It was strange, considering he had already eaten a third of the whole crab’s body. Its pincers weren’t as juicy as the meat stored at its upper thorax. Heian Ciemnosc was like an addicted cat on catnip. After the fight, eating, and getting on with meditation, Heian Ciemnosc had finally broken through the middle stage’s middle level and achieved the elementary level of the late stage for beyond perfectly solidifying his path!

The battle was followed by the same actions they engaged in from the beginning. Heian Ciemnosc simply had more dark Power Energy stores than the crab could deal with, coupled with his bodily strength. Besides, Heian Ciemnosc had gained copious experience against Broken Crystallization realm cultivators at his equal prowess level. The crab, seemingly created to fight him and even win, was defeated after a few bouts.

Heian Ciemnosc’s understanding and proficiency when using Elemental techniques increased. His knowledge about the Elements slightly improved, but nothing that the information inside his head could feel like lesser. His experience was like a little kid’s toy while the information in his head was the most eminent library. However, Heian Ciemnosc did notice something after the fight ended. Even as this was completely new information, without his comprehension, Heian Ciemnosc could strangely learn everything about the Elements rather… impossibly and unnaturally quickly.

The crab’s defenses weren’t spectacularly created, and at most, they were good enough to contend against Heian Ciemnosc. Because only after eating and spending hours and hours meditating did his body start healing its injuries. The neck-wide wound from Heian Ciemnosc’s left chest to his waist became just one of many. Heian Ciemnosc even gained a deep, brown-red wound from both sides of his torso and thighs to immediately frown upon seeing.

His face was almost ripped off by the crab’s earth spikes and discs flying at the same speed as its pincers, trying to cut him into numerous tiny pieces and eat him little by little. Even then, when Heian Ciemnosc was incapable of protecting himself. The crab’s sharpest moves were only injuries to his body. Without rigorous Power Energy behind them, they basically did nothing to him. However, the crab had to focus its rigorous Power Energy on its Earth energy so it would hurt Heian Ciemnosc. Otherwise, Heian Ciemnosc would simply be massaged left and right.

The natural weight and sharpness of those objects were null against Heian Ciemnosc’s All-Devouring Force Chronicles 3rd level. It could have tried to pick up a gigantic boulder, shape it, and throw it at him. However, even if that thing’s flight speed was better than any other, it would take too long for the crab to make it happen. Also, would Heian Ciemnosc allow that? The crab could only slowly be burnt and scalded before its eyes were chomped down, little by little, by this Wrath Nihility Academy’s little black monster.

But who was Heian Ciemnosc? He didn’t just eat crab away and did nothing else. He made a soup with some other aqueous Faunas’ meat turned into mush, then added some other Faunas’ blood, turning everything into a soup with crab meat. It was yummy yummy, and Heian Ciemnosc ate it almost all on his own. It wasn’t just him who had his fill. His Simmer Shark bathed in his pool for a few hours before falling asleep. Even now, Heian Ciemnosc heard some bubbles going off as it slept, cultivating in order to breakthrough.

Heian Ciemnosc ignored it as he began eating some more crab meat. Slowly, his pale eyelids were lifted, and his darkest eyes reappeared. As ‘munch munch munch’ sounds echoed in the bizarrely gigantic room, Heian Ciemnosc repassed everything he went through in his mind in this meditating session. He felt content, stood up, and began storing all the delicious crab meat around. There was a little less than ⅔ remaining. He had to share some with his wives, Jing Evan and his team, perhaps.

Gurgle… bubble bubble- BUBLEEEESS~.

Walking towards the gigantic bowl outside where his crab meat encircled him in his meditation, Heian Ciemnosc witnessed when Alejandro finally opened its cutesy, blank, expressionless pitch-black eyes, and the soup he was in burst outwards!

“...” Alejandro floated in the air. He was just feeling all-mighty and potent, as if he could govern any seas he found from now on. However, now that he saw his mess and the soup his owner created smeared everywhere, he became sad. However, his eyes didn’t show that. Heian Ciemnosc placed his hands on his wrists and shook his head, but he said nothing before storing Alejandro in his Covert Space bags.

Alejandro offered no complaints, much less implied one with his eyes, quietly returning to his little spot among the other delicious-looking stuff. However, it didn’t even glance at them before gazing at the sudden appearance of crab meat before its blank eyes. He finned its tail slightly contented and swam towards it. Alejandro’s bubbling and seething teeth started wolfing everything into its large stomach. Much less than a snack for the current Heian Ciemnosc.

Heian Ciemnosc walked around the room. He wasn’t slightly bothered by Alejandro’s actions. The kid had reached the Broken Crystallization realm after some training and by eating the colossal crab’s meat. One could only imagine what kind of steroids this crab’s body meant. It was a pity that, after breaking its shell numerous times and protecting itself with Earth energy, its properties had become practically useless. Otherwise, Heian Ciemnosc was down to experimenting with it. Now, it was even worse than ordinary.

Now, more than before, Heian Ciemnosc wanted to share this mysterious crab’s meat from unknown origins with his wives, see if that could help them… And to also amaze them with his culinary skills. He was sure even Alyona hadn’t seen something like this. His Master may know a thing or two, as well. And his future woman, Milyy, should be addicted to it as much as he was. That’s why he left no juicest meat for others but himself.

For himself, although it didn’t help him gain more dark Power Energy or a characteristic other than some unfound Earth elemental knowledge, Heian Ciemnosc’s solidification of his path progressed. This crab’s meat was definitely a tonic, but it wasn’t limitless. If he ate it during the following days, they wouldn’t last even 5 days. After relaxing and feeling good enough, Heian Ciemnosc cleared his throat and looked somewhere at the ceiling. He wasn’t sure how to proceed.

“Excuse me, I’d like to leave,” Heian Ciemnosc said. He darted his eyes left and right before adding, his voice a little lovable. “If it’s not too much to ask, can I have a slight boost to my next destination? It’s not in the water, and I’ll appreciate it if I can take a shortcut or a quick trip for most of the distance.”

… No response came from the room or anything that could possibly be listening to his request. But after a minute, Heian Ciemnosc felt his body being pulled someplace. His body levitated, not raising any commotion, and as if air didn’t exist. He could move however he wished, not even turn his body around. Only move his limbs and neck and turn his head. Thus, as his body slowly turned around, and he saw the Earth door reappear, Heian Ciemnosc let himself go and closed his eyes shut, expecting another bad experience.

Swuuu- whoosh, plop.

“...?” Heian Ciemnosc, now underwater, was bewildered. He felt his body leaving the Earth door’s trial. He didn’t dare to pull his Spirit Sense up so as to not be overwhelmed with the bouts of information as he flew far into the distance. However, instead of being thrown forwards for who knows how long, he fell. All he could tell was an exemplary show of Earth energy that surrounded the Earth door in midair before it opened.

Heian Ciemnosc could even smell the scent of the island he was on, where he found the Earth door for a moment before rapidly disappearing as soon as he felt his body submerging into the ocean. He opened his eyes as bubbles came out of his nostrils from the surprise. It wasn’t even gentle, the next. His body fell into the water without making a ripple, slowly surfacing without feeling any pain or overwhelming sensation.

‘Truly. I knew it. The Earth element is the true gentlest among the 4 primary Elements.’ Heian Ciemnosc thought as he formed a solid layer beneath his palms and stood atop it on the water’s surface. Heian Ciemnosc looked around and did his best to recognize his location from the map the Fire door’s trial gave him. After securing a route, he sat cross-legged, meditating some more, trying to consolidate his advancement into further solidifying his path.

After a few hours, Heian Ciemnosc took Alejandro out as the latter swam much faster than before towards the last door, the Wind door. Along the way, Heian Ciemnosc had Alejandro relieve his stress from wasting a good soup on the weaker fishes around. Alejandro was allowed to eat 80% of their meat and all organs if he managed to kill them without harming their bodies too much. Thus, an excited Simmer Shark and calm owner swam to the nearest shore.

. . .

Two days later, around a mountain so high it was over 20 kilometers into the sky. Yet, its peak could be seen even from its foot, and no snow was apparent anywhere on it.

There were approximately 2 million people around this mountain. Everyone was exactly 100 meters or more close to the mountain’s foot, like a pact between everyone before raiding a treasure-hunting search. Within this large group, some of the most renowned and famous organizations’ participants were the center of attention. Among them was the Wrath Nihility Academy.

At this moment, within one of the many groups belonging to the Wrath Nihility Academy around this mountain, Elena and the rest of Heian Ciemnosc’s Concealed Ornament Team stood outside their tents. Arla was meditating to the side as if waiting for something. But the rest were, just like anyone else around this mountain, looking at the peak sternly. Something very damn nice was hidden atop it. It could help even Second Step cultivators in the early realms breakthrough a stage or two. Rumors said even Soul-nurturing items were there!

Everyone wanted to have a go. It wasn’t known how many resources were there, but at least it would be enough for all of them worth fighting for. Resources that could help one’s cultivation in the Second Step weren’t rare, but for the Changed Merit Trials, there had to be many of them and all for the taking. Furthermore, if one manages to get a hell of a harvest, they might get to be the best from all 10,000,000 initial participants!

Elena stood 2 steps before everyone else as they chatted, sat together on the ground, and looked at the rapidly setting sun of their view. She had her arms crossed as she looked up, not at the peak but somewhere towards the middle. A little frown occasionally appeared on her pale blonde eyebrows as she did. But when she lowered her head, she became indifferently cold.

Step, step, trek.

A line of young men and male teenagers ascended the little hill the Concealed Ornament Team’s tents had been living in for the past couple days. They occasionally looked towards Elena, Fengli, Sakura, Arla, and Violet. Gloria was in the shadows alongside her little boyfriend. But mostly, they ogled Heian Ciemnosc’s wife, the only one they could try and take. The others had their other half with them, and Arla rejected each who came looking for her, knowing her reputation.

Thus, only Elena was ‘available’ in the eyes of the trying young males. However, after several naive fellows from the Second and Third Step organizations failed to impress her, the young master and chiefs from other organizations, even the Fourth Step, decided to gang up on her to see if they could pressure her into accepting one of them. Any of them could be victorious when one was placed in a tough spot. They were going a little overboard on her because she came from a ‘weak’ organization. However, they weren’t directly forcing themselves on her.

If they forced her to self-detonate, what then? Their organization would be trampled by the Wrath Nihility Academy’s allies. Furthermore, who didn’t know what kind of monstrous person was the Academy’s little black monster? There would be even Fifth Step organization summing in the hunt for their organization and Universes, if anything, just to befriend Heian Ciemnosc and possibly rope him in.

“Hello, miss Elena, I’m a-” - “Piss off.” The first fighter arrived before, wearing a stylish hat, which he took off and bowed to his queen. However, Elena cut him off and immediately threatened with her Power Energy-infused left-handed Colorful Claw coming out of her Covert Space bag. The young man looked at it and immediately departed, his eyes wide and face paling. He was just the first ignorant, though.

“Miss Elena, please allow me to show you the night’s beauty during the next full m-” - “What night’s beauty? You don’t even know night is all there is in the evening. What moon? Scram as far as any moon away from me.” … “M’lady, I offer my body as your toy and my resources as your money. With my heart, I off-” - “I will pull that off and bite it in front of my man. We’ll eat your heart together, and maybe we can even shit you after.”

… Time passed, 30 minutes went by, but Elena’s responses and direct threats to those who weren’t at least in the Broken Crystallization realm 7th stage were shown the claw. It took a bit more time on occasion, but that was just because Elena got bored and gave detailed responses to her suitors. Rejecting each of them, whoever dared to stay after she spoke would see her take a step forward. After almost 3 weeks of this 1st phase, everyone now knew how imprudent it would be to start or instigate a direct conflict. Nobody dared remain even within her eyesight after she threatened to attack them.

Finally, 3 hours later, only 3 big shots remained from the thousands of wooers this afternoon. Elena was about to sigh when one of them stepped towards her. He was handsome and grinned like a motherfucking women's eyes’ killer, destructive to any female’s heartbeat. He spoke to Elena. “Fellow apprentice sister, these… chambers, ahem, are crude and unthinkable for cultivators. Most created their residence with the flick of one’s hand, I’m sure.”

“Would you like to see what another… slightly different place than these dirty tents would look like? I assure you will find it pleasing… and more. Because you might want to stay there for a day or two, hoho.” The young man said. It was a pity there were no girls or women around. They would have melted to his last silly laugh and dumb grin.

“I chose them myself. What’s wrong with them?” Elena looked up at the 2 meters tall handsome fella with a frown. Her brown eyes looked up, ripple-less. She then added right away, “Tsk, don’t answer that. It’s not needed. Turn around, and I won’t remember your face. Keep standing before me, and someone might feel like visiting a known after growing. What guts is there to go after people with already someone in their lives?”

“Miss, you don’t understand,” the young man smiled and took half a step forward. Elena’s left eyebrow suddenly jumped up and remained there, her arms crossed, not moving back in the slightest. Their faces were less than half a meter from each other now, an ordinary ruler’s distance away. He continued, “I’m from a Foruth Step organization, not just one of their members, but I wear obscure pale robes for a reason, you know? Hmm~?”

“... Tell me something… Did I not speak clearly?” Elena’s eyes showed bloodthirst, and before the young man knew it, a supreme marvelous and wonderful 3 meters long halberd appeared to his left, behind Elena’s right shoulder. He instinctively looked at her brown eyes when he felt some fear in his heart after noticing the halberd. Elena added, “I can afford to pick a fight with you. But can your Fourth Step organization afford to offend me?”

“... heh.” Elena saw the young man step backwards, but as unyielding as he wanted to be, he offered no words and kept stepping backwards. Almost staggering once, he finally turned around and shook his head while walking past the other 2 with a Fourth Step organization’s emblem plastered on their sternum.

‘Good girl.’ Above in the skies, 200 km away from anyone’s sight, Heian Ciemnosc grinned as he looked down. Despite the snowy white clouds hiding any eyesight from below, without enhancing his, Heian Ciemnosc could see everything below. His hearing sense wasn’t as good, and he needed Spirit Sense to hear, but it was still good to watch it with his own eyes. After repeatedly nodding at her actions, approving of her, Heian Ciemnosc started descending under the cover of the night.

When he wanted to approach his sweetie, he, too, saw the bunch of asking-to-die young fellas coming to his tent. Since this was the 1st phase, Heian Ciemnosc wanted to know what kind of gimmick this was. When he used his Spirit Sense to listen to their chats carefully, he had tilted his head and waited in midair to see how it developed. He wanted to see how his wife handled this. If it wasn’t good enough, he would be visiting each of them in the future after he became strong enough to obliterate their organizations. If she did good, then he would only target the strongest. That ought to give him some encouragement.

Unfortunately, she did it perfectly, sigh!

People often are like moths to the flames when they are far from civilization, feeling like a warming-up best person in the world returning to give and receive huggies all year long. However, to Heian Ciemnosc… he only had one thing to offer.

‘Sigh, again, back to drama. If only I could find a recondite dark place in the world and live there forever… sight, that would be so good. Sigh, sigh, sigh.’
