Chapter 413 — To Go (2)

To Go (2)

Pshift, pah. Grab- whoosh- poh poh pom pom pom pah crack crack...

"Huff, huff, huff!" Heian Ciemnosc had just grabbed someone of the few thousand trying to drown him with their numbers in the air as he overflew the Golden Array Snakes' barrier. His dark claws clutched onto that person's left heel, embedding them into their skin before flinging them to a direction filled with frowning, intense faces chasing him and trying to pocket a hole or two in his body. The victim's corpse immediately turned anyone 2 meters in diameter from its trajectory into minced meat or at least severely injured them.

Only 23 minutes had passed, but Heian Ciemnosc had already taken out more than 30% of the 100,000 who had come here to bother him and his small group. They had first suffered the sudden attack from those dark, shapeless limbs. They then suffered casualties every second with Heian Ciemnosc’s craziness as he endlessly dashed and ended their lives. Many beauties tried charming him, but even with actual Arts employed by Second Step cultivators, it was hopeless to grab Heian Ciemnosc’s attention away from the murdering.

Whichever glowy thing in the air or below was starting to look more pinky or delicate, Heian Ciemnosc would go over, grab her with his jaws, and slowly eat her. Nothing else happened to them. Thus, they no longer tried charming him. But he never stopped moving. Everytime they thought they had caught up to him and could launch a massive attack to kill him, he would use his Vocón Link and a few mass-murdering tools, which only caused some problems for them.

However, it was enough for him to escape their encirclement. But the worst thing was, even though some of them had seen him grow tired, drenched in sweat. And the dark Power Energy undulations within him weakened. He would appear with more of any of that in a few seconds. Of course, those who saw him in this way tried to finish him off, to get all the glory for the last hit. Naturally, they couldn’t see when Heian Ciemnosc recuperated himself out of nowhere and resumed his killing.

“Huff, huff- kah…” Heian Ciemnosc caught a breath as he saw the corpse he sent flying, stuffed with Decimating Flash Rollers, start activating inside his body as everyone in a few tens meters’ area was mutilated and left without even the chance to keep themselves alive with their Power Energy. They could deal with these things, but only if they were prepared. Seeing a corpse flying towards them, they ignored it and no longer put it in their eyes.

‘They’re soon to end…’ Heian Ciemnosc frowned, not at his body growing slightly tired again, but at the fact his students were slowly coming out of the enlightened state. He had to hurry if they were to make a run for it. However, no matter how many he killed, unless they brought their Fighters out, they wouldn’t be able to escape. Only Heian Ciemnosc and a few hundred might have a chance.

Of course, the percentage would be higher the fewer people there were. But these were Heian Ciemnosc’s students, not some soldier units in a war he is expected to spend life in exchange for victory. Then, just as he thought of detonating Mortal weapons everywhere to make a path to return to where they came from, his ears picked up something as more than 100,000 cultivators came towards him from the same direction as this one!

“?” However, as Heian Ciemnosc’s face frowned distinctively and the cultivators around him took their breath also, he suddenly felt strange, and his senses picked up something. It was none other than Riquel!

Psiuf- grab… Heian Ciemnosc’s eyes widened, but not because of Riquel’s appearance. A Power Energy arrow was shot to his neck but caught in his left hand. Instead of throwing it back or restarting the massacre, Heian Ciemnosc slowly looked in the direction the arrow was shot. There, a young girl about 13 years old looked at him indifferently, slowly turning severe and frightened upon realizing the little black monster was looking at her.

‘!!’ Her mind suddenly shuddered. She wanted to shout because of fear but couldn’t even move. Her body became cold and started intensely shaking. Those around her barely noticed and tried waking her up with a touch but only felt the cold spread towards them. Suddenly, everyone looked into Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes as if noticing something. Each of their eyes didn’t last 3 seconds before turning wide and growing in terror.

… … … … … However, just as that feeling came into their hearts, so did it vanish — quickly and without any hint. After they woke up, Heian Ciemnosc was still in the same position, but his body no longer looked tired or taxed. Instead, he looked at them with a casual expression… as he grabbed a young girl from the back, his right dark claw stabbing through her neck and keeping her afloat while eating her left arm.

He was more simply biting on her pale, lifeless skin as if wanting to turn her into something. She was without life, and her little Spirit Formation realm cultivation couldn’t be any more useless against Heian Ciemnosc. However, his eyes were excited and looked terribly adorable. Inside his mind, he was thinking of the fabulous sensation of just now. It came from his inner body. Naturally, he was slurping on the girl’s blood and flesh sucked from her left arm in rejoice.

“That’s it! He’s not only a freak. He is a useful one! No wonder the Wrath Nihility Academy values him so greatly!” - “Motherfucker! Is he actually recuperating from eating others? If this is his Supreme Art, no wonder he can be sent here. But he is overestimating himself. Does he think he is equal to 100,000? Kill him!” - “Kill him!” - “Kiill hiiiim!!”

The crowd spoke, and they started moving. Heian Ciemnosc’s dark Power Energy reached its maximum potency as he circulated it within his body. His Claws Out, oozing with bloodthirst as he looked at those above him. Then, just as he stepped back once and seemed about to soar into the skies, those above went on guard, and those below prepared to chase. He changed his gaze and looked at those on the ground!

“No! Careful he- FUCK!”

Dasshhh~, phhshk… ckrsheerr ckrsheerr ckrsheerr ckrsheerr ckrsheerr ckrsheerr ckrsheerr ckrsheerr… Everyone could only watch as Heian Ciemnosc suddenly lunged towards the cultivators on, or closer, to the ground. Either because of coincidence or because Heian Ciemnosc was itchy to wreak havoc, he targeted a tall, slightly fat, and bulk fellow whose towering body was pierced in the middle by Heian Ciemnosc’s body.

Heian Ciemnosc clasped his hands and, as if diving penetrated the cultivator’s front body and came out from the back. Anyone else standing behind such a peak Spirit Rebirth realm expert couldn’t react. Some other Spirit Rebirth realm cultivators immediately showcased their Spirit Image. But they seemed to cower in fear and distort with Heian Ciemnosc’s arrival. As Heian Ciemnosc arrived in front of them, his slightly spread arms to the sides, with his Claws Out open and his elbows slightly folded, were the start of their nightmare.

The tall cultivator’s remains hadn’t reached midway to the ground when Heian Ciemnosc had already started sending claw-shaped dark Power Energy attacks, flying through the crowd and above their heads towards them. Sounds of beautiful and marvelous flesh tearing apart from their bodies sounded nonstop, bringing Heian Ciemnosc’s senses and thirst to higher limits. At last, he began eating people directly without using his Vocón Link. Although he still used the latter to quickly replenish himself. However, he was so into it that he even halted the murdering to eat some bodies, dead or alive, on occasion.

Pshift, pshift, pshiiiiift~. On one of those occasions, Heian Ciemnosc felt a threat as he looked to the sides with his eyes rapidly darting around. Several bomb energy attacks descended upon him from the enemy group, still more than 60,000 cultivators. With a rapid movement, he threw the corpse forward, leaping upwards from the ground into a reverse head over hills motion. His dark claws opened. They revealed little dark Power Energy as they shot sideways in beams of light from the same color.

It wasn’t directly launched. A layer of darkness seemed to install itself on Heian Ciemnosc’s palms as dark beams came out of it left and right. As Heian Ciemnosc fired them away, these beams lacked flexibility, only being able to twist and distort their trajectory as soon as they were shot from his hands. Heian Ciemnosc felt an assertive rush of air as a cultivator, who had been tailing him but never showed up, finally presented itself before him… or rather, above him.

‘Sigh, it had to come.’ Heian Ciemnosc thought as he saw a significantly bulky, thick halberd crashing down on him from the sky. This halberd was like a shield, wearing white light energy and with several crooked, snake-like blades, forming a kind of unstoppable, lethal fortress that could tear everything apart, including Heian Ciemnosc’s body. Although he wasn’t in the Second Step or the Spirit Rebirth realm, at the very least, Heian Ciemnosc could tell… the halberd was an Earth grade weapon!

“!!” Heian Ciemnosc’s eyes were shocked. He didn’t expect someone already high within the Second Step to stalk someone like him for so long during a battle. His plants were thwarted. Heian Ciemnosc tried placing his dark claws around his abdomen, where the halberd was moving, but his wrists were locked, and his body couldn’t move, as if paralyzed! And even his dark beams dissipated, and the energy bombing resumed, threatening his life!

Whoooosh~! Whiii~iiistleeeeeee~!

Heian Ciemnosc could only look up in the air, with his head aimed 320 degrees towards the ground, and his legs were folded into an arch. His body was vulnerable, and he couldn’t protect it. Still, he could use his innate Supreme Art to form a layer of dark armor around him, or at least his cultivation to create a pure energy armor instead. But Heian Ciemnosc doesn’t need armor. He wanted no such things!

Whuu- hap-... … … PAAH! Phhshk! Crrre- cr- cr- cr- ckrshe- ckrsheerr~...

The halberd and its owner fell down quickly. Heian Ciemnosc looked as everything seemed to turn silent, with the halberd just several meters away from impaling him. However, noise still existed as Heian Ciemnosc felt his body floating and the air pass through his ears. Furthermore, although the halberd suddenly became quiet, its passing through the air was easily heard by him. The notion wasn’t helpful, but it made Heian Ciemnosc’s eyes momentarily have their pupils and irises shrink in some sort of understanding.

Yet, time was not on his side. The halberd landed on his abdomen, cruelly and mercilessly. Heian Ciemnosc felt tremendous pain bouts reaching his senses as he could finally move. But his hands immediately rushed to hold the strange halberd head with his dark claws. As for the rest of his body, his mouth widened as his dark fangs trembled, seemingly about to collapse, as he roared.

“GAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWRGGGGHHAAAAARRRRR!!”

The pain wasn’t just intolerable. The deathly sensation wasn’t little. Heian Ciemnosc could feel the vigorous Neutral Energy dissipating his dark Power Energy rapidly, but both were equally matched. Nevertheless, this person’s cultivation base was far more considerable than Heian Ciemnosc could imagine, and his dark Power Energy was like a wisp of smoke trying to face off a sea of flames. Even as he raged, roaring with all his might, his hands couldn’t even push the halberd 1 millimeter away, not even as he placed both hands on a side and pushed with his everything.

His impenetrable skin, not even harmed by peak Spirit Rebirth realm cultivators and their Mortal weapons… was easily broken through. Heian Ciemnosc could only keep his body safe as the halberd’s most protruding, twisted, crooked knife-like blade penetrated his navel, seemingly wanting to tear everything apart before helping the others into his stomach and destroy it all.

Focusing all his 64,000 kg of bodily strength from his arms to keep the halberd from further penetrating, enduring the halberd’s blade squirming around with this endless struggle, and the continued, numerous Neutral Energy bouts sent into his open wound, Heian Ciemnosc soon met his limit as the back of his body came crashing against the ground…

Whiiiiiiiistleeeeeee… SWISH! PAAAAH! FFWUOSH… Boom boom boom boom boom boom boom- THUUDDD~...

Heian Ciemnosc’s body and his fatal enemy were just a dozen meters from reaching the ground. Heian Ciemnosc felt the other person never let their halberd go and continued to push downwards, wanting to truly impale Heian Ciemnosc into the ground before humiliating and then killing him!

However, Heian Ciemnosc’s bodily strength was far too powerful, and their cultivation base was restricted. If only… But there were no ifs, even more so as Heian Ciemnosc felt the halberd head finally penetrate further, already forming the halberd head’s shape inside his stomach, many uneven holes poked and opened to reveal copious amounts of dark blood.

Just then, the cultivator employed an Art, turning the halberd into more white light as it condensed and shot towards Heian Ciemnosc’s body. But similarly, and just then, a sudden foreign noise sounded as Heian Ciemnosc felt a familiar aura approaching. It crazily sped up towards them, arriving before they knew it and sending a full-out kick to the cultivator’s chest! Heian Ciemnosc only saw Riquel’s back as he chased after the man with hundreds of energy blades appearing around him.

They were different from any other pseudo-Art Heian Ciemnosc had seen, not glamorous, but carried a deathly scent that made him suffocate even at this moment when he was being protected by them. He only saw Riquel’s blurry figure as he flew forwards, and a large amount of Power Energy bombs swept towards him, each with at least half a meter in diameter. They started exploding, and be it a coincidence or not, their explosions kept Heian Ciemnosc from touching the ground.

Various colors emerged and turned into fireworks as Heian Ciemnosc was battered left and right, not lowering his body’s floating height. His skin was slowly torn open, and his abdomen’s wound worsened. When it ended, and he could finally return to his previous motion, as if some kind of reality had been triggered, Heian Ciemnosc suddenly shot downwards… The back of his body stomped against the ground!

Dirt flew 30 meters up into the air as Heian Ciemnosc created a 5 meters deep and 20 meters wide crater in-between. Heian Ciemnosc couldn’t tell that Riquel had stormed back towards him after hearing the continuous bombing sounds because he could barely remain awake. The pain was nothing, but most of his dark Power Energy was exhausted in this last bout, and the white light attack from before had vastly weakened him somehow… but he also felt strangely excited. More than anything, it came from the deepest parts within him…

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh. Clank, claaank~, phhshk, crreeshhk, ckrsheerr~.

Heian Ciemnosc’s eyes were still open as he looked up into the creepy sky. He started thinking what it would be like if he died here. How would all things go on once his beloved ones knew? Endless death would surely follow. Alyona and his Master would surely wedge war in everything that moves. Heh, the thought of it made him grin.

Just then, he saw 2 cultivators notice he was still alive, even grinning, and prepared their polearm and long, thin sword to stab him to death, decapitating and severing him in many parts. However, just as Heian Ciemnosc was about to lift his weakened left fingers, they merely twitched before remaining still and half-buried in the dirt that his back broke open.

Figures flashed from the other side, up in the skies, and intercepted those cultivators. Before 2 seconds passed and the newcomers noticed Heian Ciemnosc’s state, more enemy cultivators showed up, trying to charge against those with the Obscure Orb Sect’s emblem. Many dozen disciples went down to encircle Heian Ciemnosc, but their smell was alright, so Heian Ciemnosc didn’t react.

The rest, more than 100,000, went all out to exterminate the other enemy cultivators. Not only the few thousand around Heian Ciemnosc, trying to end him, but those still trying to break through his Golden Array Snakes, which already had a few cracks here and there. A few tens of seconds later, Heian Ciemnosc saw Riquel return and fly below to stand before him. The latter didn’t hesitate to help the former up to his feet, using his shoulder to help the other stand up.

Rustle, step- tep tap. But Heian Ciemnosc pushed Riquel slightly off and tried standing alone, although he stumbled and almost tripped over 20 times. When Heian Ciemnosc finally gained a stable foothold, he looked in the direction the Golden Array Snakes were in and walked out of the crater. Riquel followed him and nodded at his people, who respectfully flew to the skies after bobbing their heads back at Riquel.

… pshift, pshift… baaam~... pshift, clank~... …

Heian Ciemnosc observed as a frown appeared on his face and with his left hand holding his abdomen as he profusely bled dark. His eyebrows frowned, and his eyes squinted. He looked as if he heard many noises in the distance. From a few explosions to brutal, heavy hits and clashing of weapons. Tens of thousands of Power Energy attacks flew everywhere, and Spirit Images showed up in the sky and on the ground.

“Thank you,” Heian Ciemnosc said. Riquel nodded and offered no words as he also looked at the Golden Array Snakes, amazed and wondering if this was an Artifact, it had to be, with how enormous it was and its ability to endure so many attacks. But now, his Sect’s disciples were finishing off those people, and with the latter wasting time and breath on destroying the barrier, it was an easier job for his Obscure Orb Sect’s group.

“About that… I’m sorry, Heian Ciemnosc. I couldn’t expect something like this could happen. I also know of some of your people…” Riquel said at this moment, lowering his head in shame towards the end of his words. Heian Ciemnosc didn’t even attend to Riquel as the latter continued. “I promise you, my Sect will guarantee your Academy is compensated. Greg was sighted by some of my ‘loyal’ disciples, but they thought we were talking through him. You and me.”

“It was too late when I realized, but they are not the only ones-” Riquel was sorry and wanted to amend things. But he seemed anxious about something as he tried to speak about it to Heian Ciemnosc. However, the latter interrupted the former, saying with a breathless voice. “I remember that person’s emblem. Did you kill him?”

“... Yes, I took advantage of his surprise and finished him off. But another came, and I’ll have to deal with this person myself. You don’t have to feel bad. That someone is a Step above yours and from a Second Step organization. He had cultivated longer than any other youngster at the same level. Hence, he would be slightly more powerful. However, Hei-” Riquel responded, but Heian Ciemnosc interrupted again before he could get serious. “I will pay back in the future. Mn, all of those from that organization. They will pay in this person’s stead.”

“... Heian Ciemnosc, I understand. I will be glad to help you. But there are more groups as large or lesser in number than these. I- my Sect’s disciples have been dealing with those, delaying our road until now. But they underestimated what unity could bring to my group, as I did after seeing your small force. You have to leave now… But can you tell me if there’s any treasure inside? I’ve lost tens of thousands. Even if we’re from a Fourth Step organization and there are billions of us, that’s still many lives on my name alone. Right now, you have to go.”

“...” Heian Ciemnosc silently looked at Riquel. His face was anxious but expectant as well. It became clear this older and stronger cultivator thought highly of him after witnessing the changes his group experienced. Heian Ciemnosc narrowed his eyes, no longer showing he felt pain, and ever-so-slightly nodded. “We’ll help each other. You ensure an escape path for my people. I will tell you how to proceed.”

“Mn!” Riquel’s eyes opened fully and shined excitedly. This was the cooperation he wanted after witnessing too many stupid betrayals!
