Chapter 690 — First Existences' War, The Frontline Battle (6)

First Existences' War, The Frontline Battle (6)

The battle continued, and as the main force behind Heian Ciemnosc's group slowed down, the dark domes blinking in and out of eyesight continued happening. At first, nobody other than the young black monster’s military force knew what was happening between these appearing dark domes. But as it repeated, a pattern was noticed, and the spectators were flabbergasted by the notion. Naturally, if even spectators could realize. The Evergazing Existence's side fighting the young black monster did, too.

Several minutes passed since it started, and a dark dome would blink into sight twice every minute. At the same time, the young black monster’s spaceships flew off and destroyed a smallish portion of any of the enemy wings in the 3rd line battlefield, causing the spectators to realize… that the young black monster somehow… moved his crew members to safety!

It was no joke or small matter. What leader didn’t want a method to rescue their sure-to-die-for soldier units? And one that could be used constantly? What’s more. One that was efficient and showed little to no risk to use as the enemy simply had no way to stop or counter it!

However, what they couldn’t see, the young black monster’s force could. Be it the crew members he rescued, the soldier and auxiliary units in the hangars he brought the former to, or the personnel in his Low Battleship’s central command. They saw Heian Ciemnosc’s toll as he continued to work this way while the main force sped up to line up with him.

While the young black monster’s force and the main force weren’t too far from each other, with 1.1 km separating the former’s rear and the latter’s front. The real obstacle here was the enemy spaceships blocking the main force’s advancement, which were nowhere as prepared or formed to spearhead into the enemy lines as the young black monster’s group was.

It took a while for the main force to group with Heian Ciemnosc’s military unit. By the time it happened, he had already rescued over 15 spaceships, while the total spaceship casualty rounded about 22, with the other 7 happening before 2nd phase was in transition to the 3rd phase.

Once the ‘secret’ was found, Heian Ciemnosc’s actions could only be described as terribly attractive. Everyone knew where Heian Ciemnosc was before he slowly made his way to fame. The Wrath Nihility Academy had surely prepared for this transition into a Third Step organization. This new Supreme Art they had showed it was true.

However, it raised some weird thoughts among the spectators watching the battle while resting on a silent, peaceful battlefield that if everything went right— it wouldn’t become active. Logically speaking, because Heian Ciemnosc was only a few years old when the Wrath Nihility Academy’s new Supreme Art was ‘announced’ to the world. So, shouldn’t a few other cultivators with his Supreme Art have already sprouted somewhere?

Yet, no such thing happened. Not at all. Now, everyone could see the actual fruits of such a Supreme Art, undisguised and with their own eyes, not from any Universal Conveyance showing a few frames where it happened. It marveled the spectators, be it from the ally or enemy side.

Bowwbooumb!!

Nevertheless, the person who was the reason so many people silently questioned the Wrath Nihility Academy inside their minds couldn’t care any bit less about something like this. And right now, he had just finished another immediate mobilization of crew members to another Low Battleship. He didn’t bother returning with a Fighter to his Low Battleship and then taking a transporting vehicle to his central command and instead created another dark dome to directly appear above his commander’s seat and fall from 2 meters above the floor level onto it.

Whoosh- swiip! Thud~!

“Ah, commander!” The commanding assistant exclaimed. The piloting experts straightened their already spear-like backs when they heard her. They suddenly felt a second darkness coming and going, but before they could question the commanding assistant about what happened and if their commander was alright, the subsequent sounds at the commander’s spot answered all their doubts.

“Ah…” Heian Ciemnosc comfortably and heavily sighed as he landed on his seat. His bum fell at the edge, making him take a lackadaisical pose as the commanding assistant jolted and jumped before carefully stepping towards him.

“!” The commanding assistant was surprised when she saw Heian Ciemnosc’s pale face tired, showing the same signs that one would if they sweated, but he never sweats… She waited for his orders while wondering how could the commander hold on for so long? She was worried if he could continue because if he couldn’t. Then, they would have to change the 4th and final phase’s procedures and placements.

However, Heian Ciemnosc swung his writ at her as if telling her to stop overthinking. The commanding assistant opened her eyes wide. Having her thoughts seen through by a cultivator at a lower realm was… embarrassing.

“Initiate the 3rd phase. I saw the main force close enough on my way here, ahem… It’s time. We must start already. How’s the search?” Heian Ciemnosc spoke lowly, but his central command personnel heard it all. The commanding assistant softly nodded and bent her back to answer him one by one at a regular pace, carefully.

“We’ll send the instructions to the main force. The targets have been found somewhere at the rear-middle, but we’re still 2 hours and 20 minutes away from them… 19 minutes. They’re forming a blockade with 30 Low Battleships, leaving most of the rear unprotected.” The commanding assistant’s words brought Heian Ciemnosc with an undisguised, pleasant surprise.

“And the 3rd ring’s main force?” Heian Ciemnosc asked, his darkest eyes looking deep and straight into the commanding assistant’s face and eyes. The latter felt at ease, peaceful, and as if she was safe. She nodded and grinned a little, “They’ve accepted. Moreover, they don’t wish for any remuneration. All they ask is to have first calls to the products from your Universal Conveyance store, commander.”

“Oh,” Heian Ciemnosc nodded. “Have the people from those who perish in phase 4 an 80% discount for a decade after this is over.”

“Yes, commander,” the commanding assistant nodded and stood back up as Heian Ciemnosc sat up. She stood with her back straight and her professionalism as more of their force’s spaceships suffered heavy damage and as their situation only worsened.

“Begin the 3rd phase,” Heian Ciemnosc spoke lightly. It wasn’t needed for everyone else to know it was about to begin, but it was the ‘official’ start of the 3rd phase. The communication teams sightly nodded and transmitted instructions to the rest of their group while confirming with the main force. Everything was put into motion, and Heian Ciemnosc watched from his seat as a couple spaceships at their rear were decimated.

The enemy suddenly saw the rectangle formation’s force shrink towards the middle, where the cross-shaped formation Low Battleships were, and immediately bombarded them with all they got. They ignored the giant threat at their frontline, where the Quiongu Fanhui Existence’s main force was rushing at them and forming cracks at the so-long-standing watery barrier.

This shook the main force and the young black monster’s spaceships, but the latter continued heading to the center and sticking as close to their Low Battleships as possible while their remaining Fighters returned to stick to their structure, respectively.

Some Frigates, Destroyers, and Cruisers only had a few Fighters left while the Low Battleships’ hangars slowly opened. However, it didn’t seem like the young black monster’s force would activate another Elemental Water Eye as the current rectangular, watery barrier started falling apart.

Ta- rarararara… puh, puh, puh, puh- pum, pum, pum… psssshhhhuuak!!

At this moment, as if to save the young black monster’s spaceships, the main force had a sudden ultra boost of speed as their weaponry crushed the front without caring about accuracy, directly ushering anything in front of them to bitter flames, explosions, and corpses. Although there were some living, suffering cultivators who were turned into blood, flesh, bone, and organ particles after being run over by even Fighters as the whole armada rushed forth.

As the Elemental Poisoning savored those bits of particles, the situation in the 4th line battlefield changed, and the 3rd line battlefield a few thousand kilometers away had a strange, unexpected position.

But as it happened, Heian Ciemnosc’s group that had reunited around their Low Battleship finally started acting, and when the main force lined up with them, destroying enemy spaceships together, decimating them and not giving them a chance to retaliate to put a stop to their sudden momentum. Heian Ciemnosc’s words resounded beyond his group’s packed-up formation.

“Disperse!!”

Eeem, veeem, veeem, veeem, veeem, veeem, veem, veem~!!...

The packed-up formation separated, flying over to the sides but maintained at the center of this enemy column of spaceships. Rockets followed them at the center’s perimeter and joined the main force’s arsenal as their rockets and torpedoes followed suit. Suddenly, an electrifying light beam crossed from the left and right towards the center.

Pew- pew… PSHI- PSHI- PSHI- PSHIIIIIIFFFTT~!

The electrifying light beams were white-blue, and when they collided with each other, they did so just where the rectangular formation, still bombarded under the enemy’s full-on hatred, made contact with it as it became thicker and sent sparkles off towards the front.

TZZZZZZZZZZZZZZHHH~!!!! WYYUUUMP!!- WYYUUUMP!!- WYYUUUMP!!-...

The electrifying light beams became as thick as a building, spanning over a couple hundred kilometers as it continued to move forwards, and every spaceship on the Existence’s side was slowly and swiftly covered by the same white-blue but, this time, in a transparent layer. Then, the sound of tens of thousands of spaceships sounded, and they went over their top capacity, easily scaring the living hell from not just the enemy but themselves!

However, time couldn’t be wasted. Because, just as the enemy had an inkling of what could happen, the Existence’s projectiles were also reached by that same white-blue energy light! Then! With the young black monster ahead and at the lead, all spaceships advanced over their maximum capacity, speeding ahead together with not even Fighters falling behind!

P- pe- P- P- PE- PE- PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW~~~~!!!!!!!!

The sound from their engines and the spaceships traveling at this tremendous speed already harem the Mythical realm cultivators in the earliest stages, let alone wholly drowning the bullets, shells, and other projectiles launched. Heian Ciemnosc felt his body tremble as if he was standing on a Kingdom’s soil, and a light earthquake started, opening cracks underneath but harmlessly moving his body inadvertently.

Needless to say, the Evergazing Existence’s massacre was undoubtful.

The mere force that the Quiongu Fanhui Existence’s 4th ring forces bashed the enemy that couldn’t be destroyed on time was enough to bend their structure and smash any auxiliary unit, immediately painting their spaceships’ interiors in blood of different colors.

The stronger soldier units at the Mythical realm middle and late stages and those in the early stages of the Central Formation realm couldn’t die so smoothly. They could only be pushed between the gaps as they suffered the gravity pull and mere force aiding them out of the most smallish apertures and cracks made after their spaceship was bashed, only to become thin layers of flesh and bones covered in skin like wrapped candy floating in space.

The bizarre speed and momentum the Existence’s spaceships carried were enough to bend reality a little, causing those ‘lucky’ fellows with the highest cultivation base to lose any humanoid shape, becoming skin-colored bags and wrapped irregular shapes in the middle of nowhere, deader than dead.

“...” Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes showed surprise but didn’t react. His nature reading told him those ‘lucky’ ones to survive being smashed into liquid still felt after they were flung away by his side’s spaceships and became untold things. They weren’t… completely dead. As if their Souls watched a little longer and felt the pain of their outcome.

“Poor fellows, they met you.” Sara suddenly appeared in his inner universe. Heian Ciemnosc’s lips opened slightly, and he wanted to say something in his mind but fell pensive for a few seconds before letting it out. “It’s not my fault. This was purely experimental. I’ve only had similar experiences before you sneaked into my body. It wasn’t like this, but… it was similar… At least no one from my side suffered this time.”

“Hmm… good luck. Those 3 are preeeetty strong. You’ll get your butt kicked,” Sara said before submerging into his endless, pure darkness.

The 4th line battlefield might have become something fascinating and eye-shocking to see… but the 3rd line battlefield didn’t fall short. Just as the spectators were astounded, and the Quiongu Fanhui Existence side felt the victory of their first line battlefield start, the 3rd line battlefield suddenly warped, and a strange movement occurred!

The Existence’s side suddenly took a detour instead of charging ahead like the 4th ring main force continued doing. Their frontline basically suddenly stretched and held after stopping out of nowhere. Before the enemy could become used to change from rushing forth and defending to being forced to halt and taking an aggressive stance, the Existence’s spaceships formed an arch and extended the frontline to their right wing.

The enemy had the option to do the same with their left wing, but they weren’t fast enough, and the Existence’s spaceships were clearly prepared to do this. The enemy tried, but they were obliterated by half the Quiongu Fanhui Existence’s spaceships defending the line as they spread their frontline and surrounded the enemy’s left wing.

However, before the enemy could send their rear ahead and decimate the Existence’s spaceships that were still spreading their frontline. All the Existence’s 3rd ring forces suddenly formed a sword formation as a whole and rushed towards… the 4th line battlefield where Heian Ciemnosc led the main force onwards!

“What are they doing?!” - “Ah no… it can’t be… they’re reuniting in the 4th line battlefield?!!” - “This… how… dammit! They have to destroy as many of those spaceships quickly!” - “Have faith on our side. Don’t sweat to death now.” - “Heng! That’s what happens when you trust words from your dog-like mercenary leader! Even the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s management in Kingdom affairs isn’t so braindead!” - “You really think you can win, huh?”

“Hahaha! Take a look by yourself. What do you see? Your Existence might as well learn how to bow to a new Overlord!” - “I dare you speak to me outside your fucking Fleets!” - “Why bother? Just shoot, old man! Don’t you have the guts to start another battle here?!” - “...” - “...”

The faraway inactive battlefield where the Fourth and the remaining peak Third Step organizations were set and faced each other with a distance of tens of thousands of kilometers, their mere voices amplified with Vigor or Godly Energy was enough to hear each other.

Unlike the younger generation’s side, this inactive battlefield didn’t have rings or means of quicker transportation. Godly cultivators could fight off at this distance and start making trouble for the other side independently if either is advancing to fight. Not to mention shooting, just moving forth by mistake would make the other side believe they were attacking.

An Art and even Supreme Art’s technique could be enormously fast, but only when at least a Godly cultivator employs them would it travel fast enough to threaten any of the 2 Existences’ armadas in this inactive battlefield.

The tension only became more intense as a sudden silence fell on the inactive battlefield. Some Godly and Non-Mortal experts’ eyes narrowed, but neither side and none of them, did something to ease the situation. That was a joke. Why would anyone want to stop it?

“Hey…” Suddenly, a female voice with robust might backing it up without Vigor Energy sounded. Immediately, both Existences’ cultivators' faces changed from tense to surprise and bafflement. It was the growing legendary Chairwoman of the Crimsonbreaking Faction, Alyona!

“Chairwoman, what is it that bothers you?” - “Who looked at you the wrong way? Point me at them, and I’ll come smashing their faces!” - “Big Sister…”

A few cultivators responded to her mere calling word. In the Crimson Carrier, Hong Mei looked at Alyona, who stood at her side, and she sat on the Commander’s seat. Alyona grinned from the left corner of her mouth, and her right index finger pushed a holographic control in the air before Hong Mei’s stunned eyes.

“Mm, nothing. I just felt like I couldn’t be left behind as someone has gone… forth.”

PUH, PUH, PUH, PUH, PUH, PUH, PUH, PUH, PUH, PUH, PUH, PUH, PUH, PUH… bang… bang… bang…!!!

“!!!!!!” When the word ‘forth’ fell from Alyona’s mouth, and the inactive battlefield heard it, suddenly, the Crimson Carrier launched tens of thousands of missiles, all from the most destructive kind, and at a slightly enhanced speed towards the other extreme.

Needless to say, the silence following the launching of those missiles and their speed quickly reaching the enemy in under a minute was deafening and so powerful it made some of the peak Third Step cultivators lose their hearing sense. This wasn’t a misconception, for one’s heart is weakest against nature, proving a valid test to them all.

Even more shocking was when they landed on the enemy’s Third Step spaceships, and hundreds of Frigates, a few Destroyers, and dozens of Cruisers were majorly damaged, and fewer were destroyed. Still, it forced a few enemy spaceships downwards according to the universal focus and painted a tragic, schadenfreude picture.

Pum, pum, pum, pum, pum, pum, pum, pum, pum, pum… Suddenly, Alyona and Hong Mei looked at an angle where the Wrath Nihility Academy few Third Step spaceships were sent to, supporting Alyona’s actions as the Crimson Carrier started advancing into the not-so-inactive battlefield anymore.

She smiled, and Hong Mei revealed a hopeless expression before ushering Alyona away with kittenish slaps and pushes from her slender, long arms. Alyona obeyed and stood at the side. Some cultivators from other organizations shook their heads in their spaceships, helpless.

“To war!!” Hong Mei’s sweet voice roared. It aroused everyone’s spirits, and after the Carrier led its Crimson Armada forth, hundreds of thousands of spaceships followed. Bullets followed, some advancing several times faster than in the other battlefield, with missiles directly striking enemy Cruisers to decimation.

“G- go aheaaad!” The enemy couldn’t believe it just happened. Several shields, array formations, and space battle formations were directly activated as Godly cultivators from the Existence flew towards them. The Evergazing Existence only reacted completely after thousands of Cruisers were lost to inadequacy.

There was no going back. It all had started. The main force of 2 Existences, as a whole, fell into war!

The Crimsonbreaking Faction, once again, led the charge as they took the lead position, immediately opening fire as soon as they were close enough and deploying tens of thousands of fighters into space before anyone else could. From afar, a sight so touching yet heart-stopping was created.

The Crimson Armada separated from their side’s main force, and as they opened fire on the incoming enemy, it was like an ant spewing acid to an ocean of enemy ants. The Crimson Armada created a tremendous example, but between the 2 colossal chunks of glowing lights and energy flowing in between, it looked lonely.

Yet, this very lonely view was it that gave them the definition that this Change recognized as invincible… lonely at fault… mighty throughout.

… On the other battlefield. As soon as the sounds of battle echoed into their central commands’ radars, silence of surprise, bafflement, and disbelief flooded both sides as their columns merged and destroyed each other, but the Existence’s forces were still quickly advancing while the 3rd ring’s main force ‘escaped’ their 3rd line battlefield. But then…

“WRAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWRR!!!” - “HUAAA!!!!”

Commencing with the Crimsonbreaking Faction Large Flotilla Heian Ciemnosc led, along his group, the battlecry they started was followed like a wave from their leading position to the rear, echoing through space as the Existence’s spaceships reverberated with sound into space.

Followed by a mighty roar, the Existence’s side suddenly felt many times more spirited than before. Their morale couldn’t be any higher, and their intent to battle was never as solid as it now is. Heian Ciemnosc felt his pale skin trembling in thrill as his Low Battleship echoed with the momentaneous ‘song’ of the Crimsons. He stood up, and just as the Incinerating Bolt battle array formation was dwindling amidst his spaceships, he flung another Sunflour to his pale left hand.

Pshift…

Heian Ciemnosc’s dark Neutral Energy, Spirit Sense, dark Soul, and bodily strength formed yet again inscriptions behind his back. When they finished, the links connecting his Low Battleship with the rest of his force’s spaceships rekindled, and their glow became fully bright again. However, as the speed they had enjoyed slightly slowed, Heian Ciemnosc swung his pale right hand.

It caught a tiny thing. It was a sucker, filled with jet-black ink, and from a Severedhead Octopus. This was the ingredient needed to activate the Octotribulation Ink battle array formation. The commanding assistant and all personnel around Heian Ciemnosc knew this, but that was a battle array formation for melee encounters… why was their commander using it now?

More inscriptions appeared behind Heian Ciemnosc as the sucker was slowly disintegrated, seemingly disappearing beneath thin air… consumed by nature.

“Cough!” - “!!”

Heian Ciemnosc coughed some dark blood. The direct strain from 2 battle array formations notified him how vastly difficult it was. However, he didn’t do this randomly. Of course, he tested it before! Meanwhile, the commanding assistant at the side looked with widened and alarmed eyes, worried for their commander.

“...” However, Heian Ciemnosc grinned. Although this wasn’t unseen, it was usually effectuated by higher Step cultivators, too injured to participate but brimming with their power sources. This way, they could help lower Step cultivators fight or train, and the results were as good if not better than if it was employed by a cultivator of similar cultivation base or near.

However… to Heian Ciemnosc, this wasn’t enough to diminish neither of his commanding or reacting capabilities. It was heavy, sure. But it didn’t bring Heian Ciemnosc’s capabilities down, not more than just draining all his power sources at once.

It sounded dangerous, but… Heian Ciemnosc could deal with it. He grinned as he looked ahead, and his nature reading showed him those tens of Low Battleships still a few tens of thousands of kilometers away. Then, light-pale brown energy slithered behind his arms, shoulders, legs, hips, and head…
