A Brand New Stormy Calm Sea
The news of the Stormy Calm Sea finally being defeated and conquered by one organization, so to speak, reached the rest of the world with the rising of eyebrows and a few exclamations. The news anchor supported by the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory was the most complete. They even had takes of Heian Ciemnosc fighting and killing the remaining enemy leading figures. The Dynasty's envoy's love suicide was also recorded, deeply engraved into many people's eyes, as Heian Ciemnosc practically acquiesced to it.
The Lsefattern Kingdom was a little too excited. The Stormy Calm Sea has always remained a strong, influential, yet dormant, power in the Kingdom. As its core, and the strongest and better moneyed Regions and group of Regions, anyone owning everything had to become filthy rich after a year’s harvest, let alone the future hundreds of years at the very least.
Heian Ciemnosc suddenly felt the incoming transmissions of hundreds of big merchant groups trying to contact the Turtle Hiding Fortress’s central building just 10 minutes after the Stormy Calm Sea was conquered. Doubtlessly, the Lsefattern Kingdom would experience more change.
After the war, the tired soldier units formed 2 enormous camps to rest while the Fleets were repaired and fully operable to bring the soldier units back to their homes. A couple of billion soldier units were already sent back, but with the Non-Presentable Calm Region finally conquered, they wouldn’t let any ill intention slip from their eyes and hands, subsequently.
Either way, the Region was left alone for the moment. Other than Heian Ciemnosc’s notice, letting them know their efforts ended all in vain, the inhabitants didn’t receive any other announcement. That would only be taken as a joke.
To ‘remind’ the inhabitants who they now belonged to, and as a whole… that could only be considered humiliation. One that’ll bring the shame of the inhabitants’ hearts out and beat them. To avoid disputes and conflicts, no organization would waste time announcing the inhabitants of the land they conquered as ‘theirs’. But they still needed to be reminded that things have changed.
As for how the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory accomplished that just several months after the war, it was, as usual, simple. 10 Fleets brought billions of auxiliary units from the territory’s core. The Stormy Calm Sea was still a publicly recognized location, not a territory, but that’ll change in the future, along with a brand-new ‘capital’ for the first time in this Change.
The mere sight of those Fleets brought memories to the civilians who remained in the Non-Presentable Calm Region after the end of the war. However, the auxiliary units who stepped out of them, peacefully and without flying hundreds of kilometers thanks to the gravity array formations, were like angels compared to the terrifying soldier units.
Even the citizens were scary as hell, let alone the elite soldier units here and there at the latter stages or peak of the Life-Long realm. When the auxiliary units arrived, these were received neutrally. But from day 1, the auxiliary units talked with the civilians, asking them every single little thing they wanted of their new homes.
This was to appease them, of course. After all, the Chief wasn’t just sending the civilians to the Turtle Hiding Region just because it would boost their image after the civilians looked at what paradise was like, in comparison to a warzone, at least.
Without the civilians in the middle, Heian Ciemnosc’s forces could do as much damage and harm to the land as they wished. Otherwise, the land forces and naval bombardment would’ve been overly limited during those wars. Of course, that would only last for some time before the Entente decided that it was enough.
One good nature reading cultivator was everything the army needed to discern when to go all-out or not in those situations. But also, the civilians in the Turtle Hiding Region would be safe, and live in peace while the Region the Crimsons destroyed was healed again. If all the civilians were immediately returned, who knew how horrible their livelihoods would be in the wild. Many could just die after a few days, let alone the 1-2 years to come for the land to heal.
After the first day, the auxiliary units began working the land. Of course, they’ve already started with the Asabas Region, which had it worst and would need at least half a decade before healing. However, while all of this started, the Stormy Calm Sea was shocked with a new piece of news.
The Ephemon Region’s leading figures were going to be executed 30 days later, in the Turtle Hiding Fortress, for their hidden agendas. Neither the Chief nor the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory would show opportunities to those who had wished them harm, even after joining their territory. It was unacceptable.
Even if Elyor and Molto’s people didn’t or couldn’t catch a hidden conspiracy between the Ephemon Region and the remaining Regions, hoping the Crimsons would be defeated and give them a chance to survive as independent. Heian Ciemnosc’s Spirit Sense was more than enough to see through it. Besides, it also helped him figure new ways to spy on allies and enemies whose heads appeared to have bowed before.
Thus, as the Stormy Calm Sea was conquered, 44 years of warring passed, while it took 13 years to take the Non-Presentable Calm Region down and occupy it. The year when all caught conspirators in the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory was the same where the Stormy Calm Sea gained a sole owner, the 158th year in the 3rd month.
Purposely or not, it marked the difference and the beginning of the new. The Stormy Calm Sea Region began its Ascension Era, but this was just the Stormy Calm Sea, not the entire Lsefattern Upper border Kingdom.
. . .
It was the last month before the 159th year began. Heian Ciemnosc was now a century and half years old. He had gone through many things in the first 90 years of his life, spending most of the rest alone, cultivating and meditating with only Sara on his side. With the occasional visit from Grietta, whenever she was available.
Today, the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory broadcasted a ceremony where its soldier units, officials, and supreme commanders were awarded and granted recognition. The soldier units who stood out from the rest were given fame and honorary words from the Universe realm cultivators, all belonging to the Crimsonbreaking Faction.
The rest, in the whole territory, the Stormy Calm Sea’s Regions, were killed whenever their Region was conquered. As for those who wanted to flee, Elyor and some others caught and beheaded them without further ado or judgement.
In the ceremony, everyone who was wiling to make an appearance was given their respective, well-deserved recognition, practically ensuring them their climb up the ladder when their time to be tested arrived. Anastasia, and some other high-end officials of the special force, were half the people to receive these honors.
The soldier units weren’t dissatisfied. After all, the war was indeed brought to these heights and absurdly risky yet favorable results from numerous situations thanks to their courage and capabilities. While others could do what the special force did, could they have succeeded? Even just fighting someone weaker can end in one’s death if they trip or waver.
After the ceremony, Heian Ciemnosc brought his core circle to his mansion to speak with them. After all, it would be a long time…
… In a living room, dozens of people sat around a cozy, dark orange chimney. Heian Ciemnosc was sat somewhere before the chimney, with Anastasia, Xue Yoler, and his subordinates seated on his sides. The rest were the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s Planet Gate realm and Universe realm cultivators, including Tania and the Eternal Return Team.
“… Those will be your tasks. Come to my mansion and receive enhanced cultivation whenever you’re free. I’ll remain here until the time to move arrives,” Heian Ciemnosc said. His chin was a little low, but he directly looked at the eyes of those before him.
Even without his cultivation prowess, with Elyor and Grietta’s spars against him left them breathless, as Heian Ciemnosc limited his cultivation to the Planet Gate realm almost-zenith stage. He, the Chief, black monster, had simply gained the respect and slight awe from many Crimsonbreaking Faction upper echelons. They’ve seen him grow. Now, they were witnessing his ascension first-handed.
“These times will be the tightest and most significant during our grand operation. Remain strong and don’t contact the Crimsonbreaking Faction outside your tasks. Oh, you can also give the Asabas Region as much time as they need, but they cannot remain that way for long. That will be all. Leave,” Heian Ciemnosc said before leaning back on his chair, lifting his chin.
“Farewell, Chief.” - “If you’ll excuse us, black monster.” - “We’ll leave first. Enjoy your meeting, sir.” - “Mn, we’ll do our part.”

The living room was vacated, except for Heian Ciemnosc’s family-like members. Anastasia grabbed his right wrist and kissed his right cheek, closing her eyes lovingly before standing up as her maids followed her up. “Dad, I’ll need your help soon. My little sisters will need your dark dome to hide their breakthrough. You don’t mind, do you?”
“Hmm,” Heian Ciemnosc humorously hummed. He looked at Anastasia and grinned, making Anastasia grin in return. They showed breathtakingly charming grins as Heian Ciemnosc slightly nodded upwards, “Oh. Just bring them here, I’ll know what to do. Hurry and cultivate, you’re no longer threatening my Team members. You’re slowing down.”
“Hmph! I’ll see if that remains true after we enter the Planet Gate realm! Mwwwwwwwwah,” Anastasia defended her honor with her nose scrunched up. Then, she kissed her father again with that pout before walking away. Heian Ciemnosc silently looked at her.
“Sigh,” Heian Ciemnosc sighed. Just then, Grietta walked towards him with Dinayid beside her. She sat where Anastasia was just a few seconds ago and placed her left arm around Heian Ciemnosc’s nape. Delightfully smiling, Grietta warmly said as her right hand held her daughter’s hands. “Your little girl isn’t small anymore. So many good fellas court her every day. Soon, you’ll only be able to see from afar while she spread those long, strong, tribulation-resistant wings and signs her name throughout the world…”
“I suppose…” Heian Ciemnosc leaned his head to the right. Grietta warmly smiled before joyously closing her eyes, Elyor looked at the scene, sitting in front of them. Dinayid cheekily waved her hand at her father, receiving one in return, as their silver coin colored hair and green lagoon eyes exchanged a smile with their mouths.
Dinayid only had her mother’s growing proportions, creamy skin, joyousness, and melee innate talent. As a half Elf and half Human, she was tall and slender, without appearing too languid or thin. With her parent’s genetics, she was breathtakingly beautiful at the very least. Even then, she wore an expression of being docile and reserved around her family, appearing quite ordinary yet warm to the coldest eyes.
“Eh? What’s your other daughter still doing here? Is she also waiting to kiss your face? Hehe,” Grietta grinned, staring at Xue Yoler who looked ahead with a slight pout. Heian Ciemnosc grinned from the left corner of his mouth and shook his head. He turned to Xue Yoler and held her head. His stare made her calm down and feel secure again.
“You’re only so far from the Godhood Step. Don’t waste any time. I’ll send any message from your family in the Dynasty whenever they arrive. Go,” Heian Ciemnosc smooched her forehead. Xue Yoler closed her eyes, lowered her head, and nearly fell asleep.
When she lifted her chin, her eyes lovingly looked at him. Her foxy ears swooped down, and her tail relaxed. She cutely nodded a few times before whispering, “I will… Father.”
Heian Ciemnosc’s grin was strengthened as he nodded in return and watched his second, official daughter depart from her seat, taking another route to her bedroom near his main bedroom.
Grietta watched the exchange with mirth before bringing his attention back to herself. She pulled Heian Ciemnosc’s sleeves and looked at her daughter. Heian Ciemnosc followed her gaze and saw a meek Dinayid, a grown young woman with all her beauty only lacking maturity, staring at him. He glanced back at her calmly, not offering a word or expression.
Dinayid didn’t part her eyes, simply staring into Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes and absurdly handsome visage. She smiled, causing Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes to narrow, and his overly pale red lips to twitch a little smile.
“We’d like to wish you the best of lucks, Heian Ciemnosc.” Grietta said, gaining their attention. She looked at Heian Ciemnosc with slight seriousness and went, “It can only be hard on you from now on. I’ll do my part, everyone does. We’ll make it through. And… we’re counting on you.”
Elyor walked towards him, with Etherea, Tulla, Floris, Molto, his Eternal Return Team, Tania, and even Ramirez standing up. They walked forth and stopped before him, looking at him as Elyor nodded at him and determinedly expressed their mindset. “We’ve done this before. We can do it again. It’ll be a little fun to keep the Kingdoms and not destroyed them, though. We must get ready, after all.”
“Mn, oh,” Heian Ciemnosc nodded, exclaiming as Elyor returned the nod before staring at Grietta. Grietta smiled at her man and stood up, bringing Dinayid to her seat to sit beside Heian Ciemnosc, leaving her there. Meanwhile, Tania walked behind Heian Ciemnosc and started massaging his shoulders while the others bid him farewell.
Etherea, Tulla, Floris, and Molto bowed to Heian Ciemnosc before offering him a few, calm, venerating words with ‘my liege’ somewhere in between. The Eternal Return Team was next, of which Heian Ciemnosc was hugged by the girls and exchanged nods with the pals. At last, Ramirez left, with Tania staring down at him from above, kissing him longingly before also bidding him farewell.
After Tania left, Heian Ciemnosc savored the moment. They only ‘met’ and talked about life a few times during these 40+ years, and that one felt like the last. He erased his grin and looked at Dinayid’s curious expression. Heian Ciemnosc grinned deviously from the left corner of his mouth and asked her, “Not jealous or disgusted seeing your food eaten?”
“Chief, such drama isn’t needed,” Dinayid shook her head with a reserved expression. She didn’t even blush. Heian Ciemnosc softly jumped his eyebrows, surprised at her mentality. Then, Dinayid suddenly stood up and knelt before his open legs. Heian Ciemnosc looked at her and didn’t stop her. Dinayid looked up at him with meek eyes.
“My liege, may I ask… can I accompany you to cultivate in these proximate years?” Dinayid asked out loud in a soft, low, nearly hushing tone. Heian Ciemnosc comfortably tilted his head to the left before asking, “Will you be a good girl?”
“Mmm… I will be your good girl!” Dinayid softly expressed. Her eyes became more determined after thinking them. Heian Ciemnosc grinned and sent his right palm to her left cheek. He leaned forward and rubbed her face, “Okay. You can come. Personally sit by my side during cultivation. We’ll see how good are you keeping stability.”
“I have meditated upon the matters of the Soul and nature for half my life. I am contented to learn under you, my liege.” Dinayid said, slightly bowing her head. Heian Ciemnosc nodded before exclaiming, as he declared, “Mn. That’s a good start, if you want to try becoming my wife.”
“Eh? I thought my liege would marry myself, regardless.” Dinayid looked at Heian Ciemnosc, somewhat panicked. He lowered his head and continued holding her left cheek, quietly uttering, “Who knows?”
“…” Dinayid pouted and lowered her eyelids, feeling played with. Heian Ciemnosc ignored her realizations and stood up, helping her up before walking to his cultivation bedroom. No time to waste. Dinayid walked behind him, similarly not wishing to waste time cultivating. She didn’t wish to stay behind in the next war. Her goals were unreachable if she lazed around for even a day.
Heian Ciemnosc decided to bring her to his side now. No point in delaying it when she herself was willing to follow him. As for marrying her or making her his woman, if such things were just conducted by bedding her, Grietta wouldn’t have left her with him like this.
. . .
Time passed. The world finally became peaceful, and the Lsefattern Kingdom was tranquilized as the decades went by without movement from the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory.
After the war, Heian Ciemnosc broke into the 6th stage. Afterwards, with Dinayid sitting beside him in his cultivation bedroom, he began cultivating to break into the 7th stage, the second-last boundary before Godhood. Dinayid was close to the Third Step. She had taken more time because of her lessons under her mother and Heian Ciemnosc. Although her father also taught her his ways, she didn’t dwell on them for too long before comprehending them.
Her comprehension talent was of utmost quality, which only improved as her cultivation progressed. Besides, assassin and stealth Arts and Supreme Arts are things easily understood but difficult to train and master.
Meanwhile, Heian Ciemnosc spent 20 years before finally breaking into the 7th stage. The breakthrough was difficult as it was the 2nd boundary of 3 before the next threshold, belonging to the next Step. Dinayid only broke through several stages, not the next realm, which was the Bright/Silhouette realm. However, she also began learning the Soul-exalting Old World parchment under Heian Ciemnosc’s teachings.
Her mind was wholly focused on it, becoming intensely engrossed on cultivating her Soul. If she continued to do like this, she would develop Goldshine Soul level before others with even more potential developed it.
Either way, while Heian Ciemnosc cultivated, the territory continued to develop, albeit with its differences. Nevertheless, things changed a lot during these 2 decades, bringing a brand-new force under a united command.
The Asabas Region was unfortunately the only Region to not fully accept this outcome and progress, despite the 2 long decades. The Turtle Hiding Region didn’t need much to become united, but the Asabas Region wasn’t in the wrong. They had their reasons.
After all, the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory also had their grudge towards these people who brought up reckless soldier units and gave them power. The matter was left behind by both parties, but the results and consequences were not.
But, finally, as the newest generations formed and grew up in these 20 years, the notion started to change. The Turtle Hiding Region and the other Regions’ newest generations were celebrated by holding a grand banquet in the middle of the Stormy, Calm Sea. A platform was built with a settlement like a city for millions of civilians from all the Regions in the territory to meet and mingle.
It wasn’t the key to resolving all grudges, but it was a start. From then on, during the following 10 years, the Asabas Region began healing from the heart, as their land had become beautiful and resourceful. Their livelihood immensely improved, and new talent was constantly given birth. Now, they were finally setting their minds at ease, as the Turtle Hiding Region cooperated to bring this notion to a complete state.
On the other hand, in the 30th year, Heian Ciemnosc broke into the Universe realm 8th stage. Things were going as intended.
The news anchor the Chief’s territory supported didn’t grow bored after the wars ended. They left the ‘culmination’ of the war open before passing on to review and help those from the outside bear witness to the growth in the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory.
From the rehealing process, to the repopulation as the civilians returned, and the new lifestyles these people enjoyed in just a few years. Even the Asabas Region was a conflict which gained numerous viewership every year, until the 30th year.
Other than the military increase in the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory, the gathering of resources also became a matter of utmost importance. The Crimsons knew their stuff. Their new machinery, operable even by civilians, opened many riches to the common folk and rogue cultivators… and citizens.
For as strange as it may seem, because it is, the Stormy Calm Sea welcomed the sight of itinerant citizens throughout the Region. These were ten times lesser than the itinerant cultivators, but they really existed. They wield rifles of lower ‘quality’, as the Crimsons were the only ones who knew how to build their cultivator-killer specialized weaponry at the Third Step.
These were kept in check, as non-cultivators hearts without proper funding and training from an organization were bound to be more erratic. Either way, the passing of another 20 years arrived, and the world’s peacefulness began departing.
