Chapter 298 — The Club's Test

Chapter 298 — The Club's Test

The Club's Test

During the rest of the week, Heian Ciemnosc continued his routine just as he had started it. During the morning and noon, he would go to the Management and Exterior Affairs building to read Teacher Puru his to-do lists and attend some of his meetings, where Teacher Puru would read by himself since Heian Ciemnosc had no status whatsoever to be there, let alone talk. In the afternoon and nights, Heian Ciemnosc would go to class where he learned all a cultivator needed to know about the rest of the cultivation realms.

The first 6 realms were explained, and Heian Ciemnosc felt inspired by the Assistant Teacher’s words. When the following 6 realms were exemplified the day after, Heian Ciemnosc felt the inspiration he needed. After class and on the next day, he asked Teacher Puru to let him cultivate in the meditation room on their last day while the rest of the week will have no meditation room time for him. It was all so his breakthrough to the Ashes Apperception realm could go as smoothly as possible.

And there was Teacher Puru, upon seeing this incredibly famous and talented student treat his cultivation this seriously. Though he wasn’t honored nor about to shed tears in pride for his academy’s effect on such people. He still acceded to Heian Ciemnosc’s request. Thus, the pale teenager had a free ticket to the Ashes Apperception realm by the end of the week.

Heian Ciemnosc didn’t always sleep in his dormitory or the club. He took turns for several purposes. One was that he definitely needed to acclimatize himself to the Sub Students of the dormitory and the Students of the Saberbone Diabolical Club. He also had to let himself be known by them since Heian Ciemnosc wasn’t just going to be studying. And if he wanted free time, he needed to be somewhat devious…

Heian Ciemnosc would need tons of silver coins more if he wanted to start studying for real in the future. Besides jobs and gaining experience in all the world’s affairs, Heian Ciemnosc also wanted and required money. He could get the latter after conquering many dormitories. But for that, he had to help his fellow Sub Students understand more of their bodies and capabilities sooner rather than later.

The Wrath Nihility Academy was already doing a great job. Heian Ciemnosc could see its Sub Students quickly finding the most straightforward steps to their paths and Students finding the fewer things they lacked. However, wouldn’t it be much better if he could help them get those things sorted out sooner?

The more classes Heian Ciemnosc attended, the more he wholeheartedly understood the First Step, Mortal Step. If he was already unmistaken about so many things concerning cultivation before. He was now more certain and more confident in seeing through all cultivation realms of the Mortal Step. For example, the next day after the 12th realm was explained, Assistant Teacher Zi taught the entire day's class about the Spirit Rebirth realm nonstop.

The Spirit Rebirth realm was about so many things it made the Sub Students heads hurt, and the non-cultivators or those who had already luckily begun cultivating almost lost it. Students were slightly better off. If one was a Student, it meant they had gone through more things and seen more, hence why they had an easier time going through such information.

If one Assistant Teacher was already capable of this, Heian Ciemnosc was thrilled to win the yearly competition between Sub Students’ sectional dormitories. But for now, he was the beacon of hope and progress that all Sub Students turned to look for and follow. This could already be seen in what kind of effects it would have next week. Yet, nobody cared. As long as they could be tutored by Heian Ciemnosc, they could find a respite for their cultivation concerns, and that means a lot to anyone!

While Heian Ciemnosc, the good Sub Student, made a good name in the Sub Students’ western dormitories section. In the Saberbone Diabolical Club’s headquarters, he slowly became known as he trained and stabilized his cultivation base in preparation for the last day of his job, accompanying Teacher Puru to meetings, reading those to-do lists, and learning of the world’s moves slowly.

Heian Ciemnosc saw Elena only the day after they chatted through the night. She was already at the 8th stage of the Spirit Birth realm. Though Elena's cultivation base was somewhat shaky, probably because Elena had come looking for him right after to spar a little, her foundation indicated signs of already starting to solidify. Nevertheless, after they sparred a little, she told Heian Ciemnosc of her absence for the next couple of months, as she’ll be preparing to enter the Ashes Soul realm with her master’s guidance and through formidable and severe ordeals.

Though it was a pity his ‘benefactor’ and ticket into the club wouldn’t be there for his initiation, that was her life and path. Heian Ciemnosc continued to train and show off his body’s capabilities. He didn’t dare to destroy the few instruments, puppets, and tools to train until Frank told him the club was rich enough to buy several large Cities in an Upper Kingdom. Only then did Heian Ciemnosc show his Claws Out and his Vocón Link.

Heian Ciemnosc was somewhat hesitant to show the latter, but he also wanted to try out a few things, and thus, he showed what he could. Still, since he hadn’t had any experience with an actual Art before, not even faced against one, all Heian Ciemnosc was sure he did was make some pseudo-Art moves like he did back then with the strange Creature of the Little Lake.

He got many watchers whenever he went to train, especially girls. They were crazy for him, ah.

The last day of the week came quickly. Heian Ciemnosc never stopped learning with his heart laid out and his brain storming through the new knowledge. Teacher Puru’s books took most of his sober time before classes away, continuously pounding his imagination as he didn’t notice Teacher Puru examine him at times in his leisure time. But for whatever motive, Teacher Puru never put the possible thought of having Heian Ciemnosc as a disciple or at least an apprentice into movement…

When the day finally came, Heian Ciemnosc was in the Teacher’s meditation room as the Teacher took his girlfriend out this time instead of banging in one of the bedrooms like unsatiated rabbits for half an hour. Since Heian Ciemnosc requested 2 hours in the meditation room, he had to read for 1 and a half hours instead of 1 but had to do it while those two banged crazily.

If the club’s males gangbanging Arla that night were already showing Heian Ciemnosc their powerful weight and methods, then Teacher Puru was like an even more powerful giant with skills overcoming all mortal minds. Teacher Puru’s girlfriend's squeals were particularly, and most, enjoyable to hear, and Heian Ciemnosc again rated them with the highest scores. Those sounds were too much even when heard from the living room.

But that day, Teacher Puru brought her away while her demonic lips kissed his forehead like a big sis would or the big bro‘s girl trying to flirt with the lil’ bro. Whichever fitted perfectly.

As Heian Ciemnosc found himself breaking through into the Ashes Apperception realm, his skin shriveled instantly. The paleness of his skin made him seem somewhat gray-colored at some point. His body began draining from the inside, drying up as dark Power Energy even became strong, obscure black ashes that drifted amok the more Heian Ciemnosc continued with the process after dying his body completely.

At some point, Heian Ciemnosc even looked like a doll wasted by time, his head like an inverted cone and his medium-length hair as if about to fall off at any moment. But his hair remained attached and even seemed unbreakable. This made him even creepier and gave one’s heart the worst sensations. Just seeing Heian Ciemnosc’s body, bare and shriveled, could make anyone feel worse than seeing most ghosts… especially as he kept his darkest eyes open.

The process was slow, ultimately slow. Heian Ciemnosc spent almost 1 hour and 40 minutes like this, forming soul ashes all over his body, and he himself could see his inner body filled up with those dark soul ashes. But unlike glowy and becoming a person’s inner aura, these were darker, consuming light instead of emanating it. To swallow anything that came into contact with it instead of being respected, reverenced, and looked upon by the world’s nature.

If mysteries are difficult to be resolved and magnificent. Then Heian Ciemnosc was currently the most opaque father of mysteries that not even himself could fathom.

After his whole inner body had dark soul ashes, he began to slur in all the intense, heavy amounts of pure energy - accumulated in the meditation room!

Heian Ciemnosc’s body recovered his paleness, the gray disappeared, and his hair not only gained a lusciousness that wasn’t there previously. It also grew, along with his eyelashes. Though the latter was the tiniest amount possible, the former was until it fell to the middle of his neck.

He was bare, but he reeked an awful smell. So when he finished stabilizing his cultivation base of the… Ashes Apperception 1st stage! Heian Ciemnosc came out of the meditation realm holding his uniform and club jacket due to not owning a Covert Space bag. Not even an Inferior one. Thus, the pair of no longer worried-faced boyfriend and girlfriend standing in the living room facing the meditation room looked as a big sleeping donger dangled.

The Teacher’s girlfriend rated Heian Ciemnosc in a simplistic manner, puckering her lips out and lifting her eyebrows. Immediately, Heian Ciemnosc had gone to the shower without asking for permission. He felt it was unneeded. And while he did, someone’s squeals filled the apartment-like bedroom. Sometimes, just sometimes. Heian Ciemnosc understood what most meant by being or feeling lonely. Hm.

There was no Spiritual Seed. Though Heian Ciemnosc did indeed feel something had ‘become’ within him, but it was immediately fused with his darkness within. It was as if they were always the same, and only when breaking through into the Ashes Apperception realm, where others would form their Spiritual Seed, did it present itself to him and Heian Ciemnosc simply ‘merged’ and became one with his.

After coming out of the shower and having a meal with the Teacher and his Demon keeper, Heian Ciemnosc dropped him the question that was all over his head the whole week after joining the Saberbone Diabolic Club. When Teacher Puru heard Heian Ciemnosc asking him to teach the teenager some more management affairs, inner and outer, and if possible… learn more of his books for free and not exchanging one merit point, he became silent. Only answering at the end of the meal. Saying he would think about it.

. . .

Whoosh, whoosh, swisssh~.

But now, Heian Ciemnosc found himself out in the open. It was still the Blackotia Kingdom. Heian Ciemnosc had no need to be sent to a whole other Kingdom to do missions. Especially now that even after a week, the Vice headmaster and Headmaster hadn’t returned from going to ‘talk’ with the big bosses way above the Wrath Nihility Academy in raw power.

As of right now. The night of the 1st day and second week since Heian Ciemnosc joined the Wrath Nihility Academy as a Sub Student. The possible first night as a member of the Saberbone Diabolical Club and his first mission outside the Academy’s territories!

He was prone over a pretty big hill, overseeing the rotten wooden building in the distance, hidden by an array formation that had been long infiltrated and become useless to the capable hands of the Saberbone Diabolic Club’s members. Their team for this mission wasn’t too large, with no more than 17 people, including Heian Ciemnosc.

The landscape was definitely not ordinary. It was more obscure than any other world’s biomes, at least from the usual, bright, or Elemental ones. The grass was a blue-gray, dull and pale, like a corpse’s skin drowned in an endlessly cold temperature. There were trees on these lands, which appeared to be simple plains extending way over what Heian Ciemnosc’s eyes could reach, reminding him of some of his visions.

But those trees were crooked and bent, like elderly who were a tragic sight to see, their backs so incurved they were almost not walking but gliding. And they definitely had no life whatsoever. Below this rather big hill, several dozen rotten wooden buildings with an obscure purpura color were set and looked to be from an organization. Though it looked like nothing Heian Ciemnosc had seen after knowing the real world, they were still gran on their own accord.

Most of these buildings were 5 or 6 meters tall, while only some that looked like simple buildings were of standard height for a spot in the middle of nowhere should have. Yet, they seemed too crooked to be just simple buildings. Most likely, there was something hidden underneath those buildings. But nobody could be seen walking in this specific organization’s territory.

Heian Ciemnosc wore his Wrath Nihility Academy’s pale gray uniform under his Saberbone Diabolical Club’s black jacket with the dogs ferociously biting on top of his shoulders. The emblem of the Academy was half visible while the passing wind and gusts of air caressed its fabrics. Heian Ciemnosc was the first to peek out of the hill’s ground to look at the target, followed by the leader of this mission.

Rustle. On his left, Heian Ciemnosc felt the chubby, tall mission leader slide through the ground before stopping and looking at the target. He was a slightly mature young man with millimeter-long hair and looked seriously. He was at the peak of the First Step and commanded this mission group. Heian Ciemnosc had only met him at the celebration before, and he wore the same emblem as Elena did, a dog with its jaws wide open and salivating.

“Take this,” the mission leader passed a disk the size of his palm to Heian Ciemnosc, which he grabbed and studied. Immediately becoming aware his mere Spirit Sense could ‘activate’ it. The mission leader said with hushed words. “Don’t activate it unless you’ve identified their strongest man. Trap him and resist until we complete the mission.”

Just as the mission leader had said, Heian Ciemnosc was to become the most powerful man in this organization’s punching bag. It was a sinister, aged man without passion other than collecting corpses from within the surrounding areas and Sub-Divisions. He wasn’t collecting them for creating puppets or zombies or at least giving them a better use for some allowed pills. Instead, they were being sacrificed as food to spawn a terrible Sub-Fauna that would only create unrest within the surrounding areas if left unattended.

Heian Ciemnosc didn’t know precisely how large a Middle Kingdom can be. The Sinvonnia Kingdom had become smaller than even Kingdoms about to become Minor Kingdoms, and the Blackotia was a Middle Kingdom. He could only guess how large it was, as this mission was crafted by the Wrath Nihility Academy after its spies discovered yet another several dozen organizations with purposes the same as this one.

The organization they were about to wipe out was quite far away from the Wrath Nihility Academy’s Region, Heian Ciemnosc, and the team had to take half a day's worth of teleportation through portals until they arrived, somewhat near here. The small City nearby was about 1,000 kg away from this organization, making it quite simple for these people to hide in case they got wind of it. Naturally, the Academy’s students wouldn’t be as simply dumb to be seen by these people. Especially a club like the Saberbone Diabolical Club.

Now that they were here, the situation reminded Heian Ciemnosc of the time he saw his first organization turn into blood and mushed flesh. Even the few he had taken a liking to were gone completely. But, this time, it wasn’t the organization he was in and its prestige for doing this. Instead, it was the fact people were trying to turn the Blackotia Kingdom into a struggling one despite its well-working peace. Even a devil would frown upon such stupidity. That only meant one thing, one cure, and it was death.

“...” Nodded at the mission leader’s words. He then turned his eyes to the central building at the very front. He didn’t send his Spirit Sense towards it, but he and everyone else knew the man who was his target was there. Slowly, the others began to slide up through the ground, coming atop the hill and observing the buildings. One of them even presented his experience dealing with these things as he spat in disgust.

“I can already see all the corpses below. They must be linked by maggots. Those insects eat the remaining emotions within the death, use it food themselves, and encapsulate everything around them into a powerful armor for whatever realm they are at.”

“Enough speaking. If I am to hear another spoken word after mine, and until I say so, everyone returns walking.” The mission leader calmly spoke and quieted everything down. Even the wind passing through here seemed perplexed at his ‘ruthlessness’.

Whoooosh~~. The mission leader’s eyes calmly looked up, noticing the sudden large gust of wind. He shouted without waiting or wasting any more time. “Onwards!”

Step, step- tap tap tap tap…

Heian Ciemnosc stood up and began coming down the hill without worrying about being seen, yet didn’t use any kind of technique or his dark Power Energy to do so. As soon as he began moving, the others in the mission group tapped the ground and directly began flying through the air. Some of them had astounding flexibility, spun around or through the air laterally or reverse somersaulted and looked at Heian Ciemnosc as he began stepping down.

As they flew, they did so as if sitting on the gusts of wind, traveling with and within it towards everywhere, spreading throughout the specific organization’s territory without their notice. Heian Ciemnosc ran down with his utmost speed while not making any sound. His eyelashes, should they have been regular instead, would’ve started breaking off his body with the speed and the strong, cold wind around pushing him and trying to slow him down.

Whoosh, tap- whoosh. Swip, swift, tap tap tap, cre-...

Heian Ciemnosc stepped onto the foot of the hill, landing on the flat ground at last, as he pushed himself at full strength but still silently and caused a certain someone inside the central building to frown and stand up unknowingly immediately. Heian Ciemnosc was just a little over 100 meters away from the building when he reached the flat ground at the foot of the hill. And just as the person inside stood up to open the door and investigate more efficiently, Heian Ciemnosc had already rushed through the corridor entrance and was right before the door!

Heian Ciemnosc was at a low height. His body bent and leaned forwards until he was just 30 cm above the rotten wooden floor, and his arms projected semi forwards. His elbows bent his arms a little, and his hands seemingly trying to grasp the aged man before him, who had just opened the door… His darkest eyes looked upwards and were serene but ultimately cold as well.
