The Rocaloi Academy's First Victory (3—Last Part)
Step, step, bugsh thud, step step step, step...
A pair of moving shadows under the darkness was just dropping off a few more bodies on a little hill of corpses on the outskirts of the village. It was far away enough to let there not be any smell drifting into the houses of the village hence, not reaching the nostrils of the slightly disturbed villagers by the commotion both inside the village's head's ex-residence or all around it where cultivators were supposed to stay.
“...” - “...” At this moment, the two beauties with their appearances hidden by the darkness of the night looked up, and from the building right at the center of the village, a dark but lit up ‘thin’ flew up into the sky. They looked at it as it rose and rose into the sky without stopping and without slowing down. Before looking at each other and then throwing the few last corpses close to the hill, followed up by the hill of corpses burning and then rushing back into the village.
The way they could see it, from being so close to the village where that thing flew up into the skies from, it was so obvious and it even illuminated their faces and foreheads for a moment before it went too high up for its ‘low’ amount of brilliance to be too far up to reach them anymore.
But as it flew even higher up, it was still too impossible to miss, whether or not because of the fact that they were so close to the village itself. But for others, even a couple tens of kilometers away, it was still very so visible, even after the ‘thing’ went above the clouds and continued with its same speed soaring even higher. It was visible for those that were far away, not only for cultivators but even for ordinary people.
And just as the ordinary people who saw it in the villages all around the mine that was previously their source of income, content, and basically life, has now become the reason for their tragedy, it was the turn of the cultivators who had basically taken ownership on both the village or town itself and the villagers or townsfolk themselves. It was those very same cultivators, who had their tragedy come, in the form of countless other cultivators suddenly rushing so fast and so fearfully in the eyes of the ordinary people who could then only see as blood and torment descended on the former…
… Whoosh, whoosh, step step.
Flying in the air for a bit, Missa and Fatima made their way quickly back into the village and arrived at its center, where the village head’s residence which had a very large and wide hole in its ceiling was now pretty quiet, and in front of its silvery gates that were taken down was Ciemnosc just sitting there with his legs like a frog but his bum down the floor.
“...” - “...” Looking at each other after landing on the ground, the tough ground of pure dirt but with the occasional stalk or blade of grass here and there. They then walked in closer to Ciemnosc. On their backs, even fronts, and to the sides, small hills of burning fire were slightly making a bit of a commotion around this village, ever so slightly illuminating parts of their bodies.
But even without the flames, Ciemnosc was able to see the injuries in their bodies and some of their own blood coming out of their skin, staining part of their uniforms and even hair, let alone hands, skin, nails, or even a bit on and close to their faces. Standing up, Ciemnosc looked at them and addressed them directly but with a quiet tone. “How did it go. Was it a bit difficult?”
“Chief, there were a couple of Conflagrate realm 2nd and 3rd stage, more of the former.” Missa half-kneeled with her right knee on the ground in front of Ciemnosc and reported, looking up at him as she did, “The 3rd stage ones were quite tricky, ganging up on me and caused me a bit of trouble, but most of the 2nd stagers were taken out by Fatima, before helping me deal with the rest. Hence, she got a few memories for her to have during the next trip.”
“How was it on your side, Chief?” Fatima remained calm and didn’t put on any dull or silly expression, strictly keeping to herself at this time of ‘work’, before asking Ciemnosc concernedly with her hands down to her upper thighs.
Ciemnosc stepped towards them, his hands taking out a few pills, giving them all equally to both Fatima and Missa before speaking in the same tone. “Just a few Conflagrate realm 4th stage and 2 5th stage cultivators. It wasn’t much, and I had the advantage.”
‘But I definitely need to repair you.’ Ciemnosc thought after he showed the Steel Array Snakes cracked all over and showing signs of becoming dull before giving them a look that was even a bit apologetic. On the other hand. Both Missa and Fatima looked at each other with eyes shocked and mouths slightly agape, both of them thinking the same thing.
‘He killed many cultivators of those stages?! So amazing!’
After everyone was now standing up, Ciemnosc then brought his beauties under his shoulders after they just took one of the pills which they could indeed and easily recognize, quickly healing them superficially for a bit, letting the rest of their injuries be healed later on when meeting once again with the rest at the mine.
After taking the pills, they both brought Ciemnosc up as he couldn’t fly on his own and made a little show with the villagers watching how 3 figures simply flew over to the top of the village’s head’s residence, making quite the eye-catching act of presence.
Once the villagers, as if called by their instincts, came over to take a look and ended up making their full crowd around the residence and in front of Ciemnosc. The latter spoke to them in a soft tone, but his words were loud enough for even the oldest among them to hear very loudly and clearly.
“The cultivators that had put this village and the ones nearby in fear and constant terror have all been killed. It’s up to you whether to stay here or make a new home in another place, but those who decide to stay will still be in charge of sending workers and help to the mine around here.” Ciemnosc’s words brought displeasure after the good news, but he ignored them and just went on without letting those who wanted to ‘say’ a few things ‘politely’ do just that.
“This village will still be under the Rocaloi Academy, and it will only continue to be so in the future, but for now you are under me, so if there are any complaints - they can wait.” After saying that, Ciemnosc patted both girls’ bums and they flew him away from there, as the villagers watched.
… trckrr, trckrr trckrr…
Once on the ground, Ciemnosc took his commanding vehicle out, and the three of them entered it before its motor made noise for it quickly accelerated in the direction where the villagers themselves knew it was exactly towards the mine. Within his commanding vehicle, of course, Missa and Fatima took another pill, this time using their Power Energy to recuperate from their injuries and another one for replenishing their Power Energy that tiny bit at the very least.
… It was a bit of a long ride towards the mine, but it wasn’t that much over 100 kilometers. When the commanding vehicle was finally arriving near the mine, another village could be seen. But this one at least had a much sparser space between the streets and buildings, which were mostly houses and only a very few quantities consisted of buildings such as for food, clothing, and tools for mining as well as even furniture and safety measure devices.
There were no entertainment buildings, which might be the only downside to living in such a village, that and also having to mine daily for at least half a day, in the whole pitch darkness, and even eat there. It was only good that the Powerful Stones weren’t like ordinary ores, not even like energy based materials which are the ones that are the most valuable for all cultivators and organizations on this whole planet.
This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.
By then, the commanding vehicle disappeared, and Ciemnosc and his team walked on foot towards this village in particular, while a very large ‘rump’ that seemed to be coming from deep down underneath the earth itself was standing as tall as at least 150 meters, eclipsing the village to an untold degree.
When the trio entered the village. They were already being received honorably by the students and leading students in there, whereas the few enemy acting elders and clergy elders were already taken down, and even fewer disciples and believers were also all neutralized. To Ciemnosc’s surprise and gladness, no prisoners.
Barely getting into the village, Ciemnosc had a leading student of the Conflagrate realm pick the bodies of the enemy Conflagrate realm cultivators for research purposes, which had to be recorded down for the Rocaloi Academy to know from who and where to pick up the corpse in due time in a later date. Which, of course, meant that Ciemnosc could only research those bodies and not eat them.
But one; he was really itching to get to study the body of a Conflagrate realm cultivator, even if they weren’t alive… yet…? And two, he was going to have more than enough Conflagrate realm meals by the time he finished this little operation-like mission within his mission in the academy’s operation.
After arriving at the entrance of the mine, where the rest of the students and leading students had already arrived and were waiting on their Chief in Command and his 2 beautiful teammates, a student was chosen among everyone to be the fastest but also the most tired without having been hurt; or at least just not hurt too much.
Said student, chosen as the scout, was then sent back and directly to the Rocaloi Academy to notify of his findings and make sure that Ciemnosc’s message to ‘sell’ directly such mines was all swiftly delivered. And from there, the marching group under Ciemnosc’s lead took off once more just a few hours later after letting the ‘slaved’ villagers and townsfolk know that for the next few days or so they could just relax until another delegate from the academy arrived.
Not that Ciemnosc was being nice, but those mines weren’t going to be producing for his base, so what the fuck would he care. It was also thanks to his troops and himself that the academy was now barely recuperating what they’d been having for a long, long time already from the thieving hands of the enemy.
Thus, the march continued, and today was just the start of the retaking of these mines and somewhat of the villagers and a few towns around; when the marching resumed, it was still deep in the night and not even that early in the morning yet.

A few days later, at the Rocaloi Academy, the entrance of the academy’s array.
Step, step, step, step, step, step, step, step!
“Who goes there?!” A shout sounded, just as a single, lonely figure was rushing at his maximum speed through the snow. His clothes could be seen somewhat tattered, which wasn’t a result of the cultivator running a long way on his own but was in fact due to the purposely not changing his clothes to seem more ‘real’.
When the shout went out, the cultivator stopped in his tracks, not really recognizing the terrain so well as the thick and high volume of the snow made it indeed difficult for even cultivators to exactly remember how somewhere, anywhere, looked like after leaving it for a bit of time. In this case, as soon as he stopped, the supervisor in charge of the academy’s array at this time finally got a good look at the student, noticing that it was a student.
Immediately, the supervisor seemed to go silent, as if he was trying to check something out, and after a little while he finally spoke to the student white a tiny gap was made in the array. “Get in! Hurry and relay your information to the Mission Request & Acquisition!”
“Yes, thank you!” Not really breathless, the student still gasped a bit before rushing in, feeling like he was racing against time and about to become a hero!
Steps, steps, steps, steps, steps, steps…
Harsh, but also fast, steps could be heard when the student entered the academy’s precincts once again and quickly rushed like a madman and madhorse altogether towards the Mission Request & Acquisition building.
On his way there, the student could feel the gazes and the students just couldn’t help looking at the really frisky yet anxious and hurried student rushing towards the building’s direction. Stopping to look at the back of the Spirit Gathering realm 9th stage cultivator, wondering why he was doing such seemingly menial work and possibly being a leading student.
Step! Step! Step...!
But as soon as the student managed to enter the building, he even accidentally pushed away a few other fellow students, which he felt were way too weak. Even as they were at the Phrenic realm, he felt as if those students from his base were much better than these at being accidentally pushed apart; a silly thing in his head, but that somehow made a lot of sense in his head.
“Teachers, supervisors, anybody!!” The student yelled out, his whole being attracting attention as the slightly chatty main hall became silent in the next few seconds. While the student was now really taking a breather, a supervisor with a dean following right behind him came into view from the back of the building, with the dean naturally letting the supervisor take care of things.
“What is i-”
The supervisor remained just 3 steps away from the student, trying to speak to the attention seeker with patience. But the ‘attention seeker’ directly raised his right hand holding a completely clean and spotless letter, his thumb, middle, and index fingers tightly grabbing a corner of the letter while the supervisor simply took it with his left hand instinctively.
Cruff, rustle, swip.
Cutting the envelope, picking up the letter, and taking it out of its envelope, the supervisor then continued to read it after reading its addressee. His eyes could be seen pausing at the very beginning of the letter, but before the students watching around could say or think something about it, his eyes furtively began reading through the whole letter!
But even as the supervisor read it for the first time, he kept on, reading it a second time, a third time, a fourth time all the way until reading it for the 7th time and was about to finish reading it for the 8th time when the dean behind him called out for his attention.
“Supervisor Carl, what are you waiting for right now? Do… something!”
“Student, I have received this letter, I will immediately contact the other supervisors and the headmaster about it. If these words are true, then I’m afraid your Chief in Command will receive very good news in just a few days. You may take a rest now an-” The supervisor looked at the student, actually ignoring the dean’s words and putting all responsibility on his own shoulders.
“No need, I… I…” But the student in question shook his head, interrupting the supervisor’s words along with his own. “I’m going back right now! Thank you, supervisor, err… dean, I will return now to my base!”
The student then left, leaving no one to understand as he just turned around and dashed back out of the Mission Request & Acquisition building and onwards to the exit from where he came from! When the student once again arrived at the entrance/exit, the supervisor in charge could only ask once before being hurried up to open the damn array, he then could only see as the student seemed to run away in panic, but the student in question was only feeling the desire to go back!
If that wasn’t enough for shocking events, just as the students got no info from the supervisor who read the letter and the dean himself was also clueless on the second day, another student arrived.
With a clearly impatient appearance, but that clearly came from seemingly being stimulated by something before he entered the academy, the second student delivered a letter to the Mission Request & Acquisition building. This time, the supervisor was 2 steps late, as he didn’t think that another would arrive any time soon, so the dean ended up being the one to read it this time.
It was then that the students finally understood something was the fuck up. And just in the same way, the second student rushed the fuck out of the academy to return to ‘his base’. And on the next day, as if a comedy, a 3rd student appeared in the academy’s array entrance of a little gap.
This time, there were students already looking and waiting, in curiosity but also in slight doubt, to see whether a 3rd student appeared. So when the 3rd student appeared, many eyes from the students met each other when seeing the female student this time. Though this time, in the Mission Acquisition & Request, the headmaster himself appeared followed by the supervisor and dean in charge of the building to his sides, waiting for this student to deliver the letter.
Without waiting for them to even say anything, the student apologized deeply before rushing out of the academy, leaving the headmaster himself planted on the spot only to read the letter on his own.
They were the 4th, 5th, 6th subsequent days, and so on, it didn’t seem to be close to ending. And day after day, there were more and more as well as even different staff of the academy taking the headmaster’s sides to stand in front of not even the Mission Request & Acquisition anymore but right in front of the academy’s array ‘entrance’.
Day after day, for over 2 weeks, students came one after the other, the next one being more stern and serious than the other, as if dignified to return with the great news and always a different student. As the days passed, the students coming here were of greater and greater cultivation base. While some even had scars and injuries they were not healing back up right away nor on their way back here for what it seemed to be.
It lasted for a whole month, so much that by the beginning of the 3rd week, the old headmaster replaced the headmaster himself in receiving the next student and letter, while the headmaster himself was already openly ‘recruiting’ new strongest students on lists all over the academy that were willing to enlist themselves to go to war under the name of the academy’s not only first Genius - but also its first Chief in Command… who brought into their hands their first victory!!
