Chapter 784 — The End Of The Stormy Calm Sea's War

The End Of The Stormy Calm Sea's War

After the entire north of the Stormy Calm Sea Regions were conquered, the Crimsonbreaking Faction became deadly silent. But a year after it ended, the Chief sent a delegation to the Ephemon Region. One of the remaining 2 2* Regions in the Stormy Calm Sea, and the first 'wall' facing the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory. Although nobody knew how the Chief would act next, the southern Regions had already contemplated their defense against this terrible invading enemy.

Unfortunately, things vastly changed when the Ephemon Region’s notice of surrendering to the Crimsonbreaking Faction without suffering losses, agreeing to pay for the Protes, Inunda, and Tase Region’s reconstruction phase in exchange for their peaceful surrender. It changed everything.

PAM!!

“Dammit! Those fools!!” In the Non-Presentable Calm Region, a meeting was held, when the notice reached them. An old man destroyed the bed they were sitting on. After sobering up, he apologized and summoned another table, more lavish and resilient, before sitting down with a reddened face.

“I can’t believe they really did it.” - “They aren’t that rich, but after the Asabas Region’s situation, they became the second richest Region, hah.” - “Those useless good-for-nothings don’t deserve a peaceful ending. These Crimsons are just greedy! They must have failed that Mothership and are in dire need of resources to try for a new one. After all, is it that easy to transition into the Fourth Step? We’ve been trying for a century with the resources of our Region well distributed, but-”

“They have given up, and that’s all there is.” George interjected, lifting his right hand and stopping everyone from speaking any further. The meeting became silent, with the beautiful lady worryingly staring at him as she fell pensive.

“We need to change our strategy, but don’t change it all. Our most realized methods won’t become useless because the Crimsons know about it. They weren’t meant to be a one-time trump card, after all. Research and find new ways. Don’t fail me now, or you’ll become the next execution broadcast.” George said, reminding everyone of the shows after every Region is conquered. They couldn’t help gulping and sweating like berated teenagers.

“About the Ephemon Region’s meeting…” The beautiful lady opened her lips. George looked at her, while the other leading figures had scornful faces, albeit careful and decent enough to not be ‘seen’ and call attention to themselves. George and the beautiful lady engaged in discussions before moving to the Region’s defense with the others. They never once talked about the Asabas Region. It didn’t occur to them that they’d be any worth to fend the Crimsons off together or join their Region’s defense.

With just a visit, the Ephemon Region surrendered. The rumored supreme commander, Etherea, Heian Ciemnosc’s right-hand commanding assistant, was followed by the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s Vice chairman, Elyor, and the Snow Fox captive, Xue Yoler. When the news reached the rest of the world outside the Universal Land, slight movement erupted between the Dynasty and the Heraxle Clan.

However, that didn’t matter to the Lsefattern Kingdom. The Regions far from the Stormy Calm Sea felt entertained by the development of the war, while those at the shores of the mainland couldn’t help but feel a strange, ticklish sensation at the back of their ears…

… At this very moment, Heian Ciemnosc stood in his Turtle Hiding Region’s Central Building, where Etherea spent most of her time in one of the large, lavish residences below the highest floor. It was a residence designed for supreme commanders, while the last floor was the entire floor in length, although it wasn’t as lavish. It was also made for the position that both Etherea and Xue Yoler wanted.

He was alone with Xue Yoler in a VIP room where holographic calls with signals to the Universitalities of Yore Existence could immediately connect. In this case, the transmission was bounced to the Flora-Sweet White Heavens Dynasty’s Scintillating Crop of World Universal Land. Xue Yoler stood nervously on his right, with his back on her back. She stared at the vacant holographic projection before her.

“Are you going to fall to your knees now?” Heian Ciemnosc grinned and said, patting Xue Yoler’s lungs from the back before letting go of her. Xue Yoler lifted her right hand to her sternum, involuntarily coughed a few times, and looked at him. “I won’t mess any of this, m- sir black monster.”

“Oh,” Heian Ciemnosc nodded. He grinned a little more because of her slip up, although it was only to train her and nobody could hear them. Xue Yoler’s eyes returned to the holographic projection. They were unreadable as her stare became resolved.

Beep. Beep… beep!

Suddenly, the signal connected, sending noises every few seconds until the tone and rhythm changed. Xue Yoler’s shoulders became a little drooped as the image of a tomboyish young woman with long hair, strict and uniformed, appeared before them. She wore the Heraxle Clan’s emblem and wasn’t accompanied.

“Sir black monster? Security Elder Heian Ciemnosc, and… Miss Xue Yoler… Is that right?” The young woman spoke, questioning them as she lifted and lowered her eyebrows while staring at them. Heian Ciemnosc tilted his head to the left, while Xue Yoler nodded and replied in a stubborn tone, “That’s me. Where are my Dynasty’s people? Who are you?”

“Patience, miss. The Dynasty’s envoys have been connected already. You’ll be redirected to them in a short while. We’ll just clarify some things first… We might also need to speak with you, Mister Heian Ciemnosc.” The young woman said. Her eyes landed on Heian Ciemnosc at last.

“Does the Heraxle Clan need any of me?” Heian Ciemnosc asked. His casual indifference gained the young woman’s silence before she slowly nodded and said in a light tone, “We, the Heraxle Clan, would just like to remind you of your place. The Snow Foxes aren’t our enemy. Agree to their terms as soon as possible. We cannot afford to truly offend them.”

“We didn’t truly offend them when I massacred and occupied their territory in another Universal Land? What could this girl be worth if they didn’t bring me any good exchange for her? Alright. You’re paining my eyes a bit. Mind starting the important meeting?” Heian Ciemnosc casually spoke, shrugging similarly at the end of his words, as the young woman silently stared at him.

“Very well,” the young woman replied after a minute. Her image disappeared after 3 seconds of delay before an old lady’s mage appeared. She had black foxy ears and tail, and looked like a baker granny who hadn’t seen her granddaughter for 5 years since she left town for the city.

“Little Yoler~!” The granny had thick glasses which obstructed any sight to her eyes. Xue Yoler intensely trembled for a second before responding, looking up at the granny’s image in the hologram. “Aunty! Were you contacted by the family? Why are you here alone?”

“Ah, Little Yoler, look! I’m not alone. They’re just too dumbfounded to see you’re well… Are you alright? I heard… you were captured by a rogue organization.” The granny stepped to the side to reveal fading and coming images of other people, from male to female, looking at the hologram with widened eyes. Most of them were old.

“Ah, I-… I’m well, aunty.” Xue Yoler responded after hearing the granny’s words. The people behind the granny walked closer to the hologram device. Before long, they questioned her as Heian Ciemnosc ignored their words. “Xue Yoler! See? What did we tell you? You are now in danger in another Universal Land. Couldn’t you just wait in the Dynasty territory like the past thousands of years? You were just fine!”

“Right, right, right. Xue Yoler, are you sure you’re fine? We heard a lecher captured you. But don’t worry, with the Celestial’s love for you, even without your purity, you’ll find your perfect husband.” - “That’s right! Let’s stop babbling and bring Yoler’er home. That’s the only important thing.”

“What do you offer?” Heian Ciemnosc chipped in, crossing his arms and staring at the languid, bone-like old man who just spoke. The reunion was stopped as another aunty walked to stand beside the baker granny. She forcefully smiled from the left to the right, not even putting an effort to look genuine, and voiced. “Mister, the Celestial told us that we can promise you many things, as long as you return our little girl, we’ll give you anything. Just, please… Don’t make it difficult for us. We only want our girl back.”

“Good to know,” Heian Ciemnosc emotionlessly commented before listing things with his left index finger tapping his right-handed fingers randomly. “I want Instranoff Middle Kingdom completely free of unwelcome rats like your people. Half the resources to build a Mothership, a hundred thousand Supreme Godly Stones, and to marry your eldest and most beautiful family daughter. It doesn’t matter if she has a husband, or kids. Just send her to me, hehe.”

“GAAAAAAAAAAAASP!”

A most unbelievable, heartrending, agitated group gasp echoed. The elderly projected in the hologram reacted as if Heian Ciemnosc just killed all their descendants. Xue Yoler’s eyes went wide with Heian Ciemnosc’s terms. She had just felt a little twinge in her heart, when his subsequent words made her feel she was silly for thinking wrong.

“How can you ask that?!” A middle-aged woman sobbingly asked Heian Ciemnosc as if he was holding her grandchildren infants in his bloody hands. Heian Ciemnosc tilted his head to the right, when another old man stepped forth and yelled, dignified. “For you to ask for so many resources is already too much, young man. But our family’s eldest daughter? Not even peak Godly cultivators are able to think that way! Who do you think you are?!”

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

“Oh well…” Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes looked upturned at the old man before shrugging his shoulders. Xue Yoler narrowed her eyes, restraining a playful smile. She was content her liege hadn’t become disgusted or angry by her aunties and uncles.

The elderly continued berating Heian Ciemnosc. He found it a little tragic that they saw it was more humiliating that he asked for too much than the fact that they couldn’t bring Xue Yoler back with his requests. Even the baker granny chipped in, defending their Dynasty’s honor and face as they initially down-leveled his conditions before directly eliminating them all.

“Look, I don’t think we can make a concise agreement out of this meeting. I can assure you that I’ll bring Xue Yoler to heights she has never reached before. In the meantime, you can go back and, if you remember, tell whoever you spoke with and brought you here about my conditions. I don’t have time right now, and Xue Yoler also needs to get her hands dirty. This meeting is over.” Heian Ciemnosc ambiguously said before sending his Spirit Sense to turn the device off. He finally shut them up.

… Beep!

The young woman from before appeared again after a second. She wore a perplexed, helpless expression as Heian Ciemnosc felt her Spirit Sense in her emblem. At last, she exaggeratedly blinked before letting her voice out, “What in the… Mister Heian Ciemnosc, the meeting seems to have… been a complete failure? The Dynasty has suddenly sent dozens of angry messages to us…”

“Did you… ask for a Kingdom?” Suddenly, the young woman seemed to remember something. She asked Heian Ciemnosc, who uncaringly nodded to her previous words. Heian Ciemnosc nodded again, releasing his arms. The young woman ignored Xue Yoler and commented with a straight face. “I see. I’ll report this to my superiors. Sir black monster, the Dynasty and the Heraxle Clan will work out to find a better ground for negotiations.”

“Oh, I figured,” Heian Ciemnosc casually said. The young woman frowned slightly before relaxing her facial expressions and asked, “Do you know her origins?”

“I know she’ll make me filthy rich. Besides already making me contented,” Heian Ciemnosc grinned from the right corner of his mouth, invasively placing his right palm on Xue Yoler’s right shoulder. The young woman showed an untraceable disgusted face before nodding.

“Very well. Let this… ‘first’ meeting conclude. Heian Ciemnosc, I’d like to recommend you getting to work for standards that the Heraxle Clan will finally care. A little sea isn’t worth noticing. If it’s too much of a problem, you might want to reconsider. After all, the Kingdom you asked for has been under the Dynasty’s control from the shadows for the past few years. Good luck on that.” The young woman said before disappearing from the hologram.

The device turned off, leaving Heian Ciemnosc and Xue Yoler alone. Heian Ciemnosc looked at her and rubbed her shoulders before asking her in a light-hearted tone. “Was I too much? Now, even your cherished people will see you as my harlot.”

Slap. Xue Yoler facepalmed herself before giggling. She nearly yelled at him like Anastasia does before wordlessly stepping out of the VIP room. Heian Ciemnosc shrugged again before also exiting the room. Now that the fun was over, it was time to return to cultivation.

… On another Universal Land, after the meeting was abruptly ended. In a fashionable white hallway outside the meeting room where dozens of old people just walked out of, sobbing and spouting self-depreciating words. The baker granny walked alone in another direction as the other old fellows ignored her, rambling as they went away.

“Maybe we shouldn’t have been this awful to that bandit.” - “Wuu, wuuu… The Celestial is going to be sad. We were entasked to bring Little Yoler back, but we just elongated her stay in another Universal Land…” - “Look at the good side of things. She seemed a little okay? She didn’t sob or anything, like she used to. Right?” - “Waaaaah!”

The baker granny wordlessly walked away for a few tens of seconds before stopping. A wonderful white ‘energy’ deflowered her appearance from her Dantian region. She went from a granny to a breathtakingly unforgettable, precious, exquisite woman with silvery pupils, holding a pure white that rivaled pure energy. Her tail and ears turned silvery white, and she had heart stopping proportions.

‘Her fertility wasn’t interrupted, so she didn’t become a cultivation cauldron. Her purity is still there… but her body is strange. Why did her potential suddenly become greater? Did she become enlightened in the Lsefattern Kingdom and planned on surprising me? No wonder that little kid has kept her for himself… But why has he never made any move on her?’

Step, step, step, step, step, step…

The astonishingly beautiful, tall, mysterious woman continued walking away, suddenly disappearing without lifting an atom of air throughout a few seconds. From the meeting, only 1 person knew who she was, and that was herself.

. . .

The world continued working its gears for the following 15 years. It’s been 31 years since the war started at the Lsefattern Kingdom.

This time, Heian Ciemnosc broke into the 5th stage after a decade. His cultivation further improved, reaching the intermediate level towards the 6th stage. When the time to meet his core circle came, Heian Ciemnosc delegated them his orders. It was time to finish these ‘parts’ and begin for real. After sending his core circle off, Heian Ciemnosc spent some time with Grietta and Little Dina, who has already been cultivating and training with her mother and Heian Ciemnosc giving her lessons.

She was an auxiliary unit, but only for the Turtle Hiding Region. Only when she reached the Third Step could she join the main forces. Otherwise, she’d be the good little maid and daughter under her mother and weird uncle’s care. It was like so because of the way her mother saw him and treated him, making the pale uncle teach her many scary skills of the cultivation world.

However, she liked that uncle. When she was a kid, and she understood the world around her, Heian Ciemnosc became her hero. When Little Dina turned 14, she began acting all shy around him. Heian Ciemnosc couldn’t help but recall Ishikyy’s early teen years and couldn’t help but shudder. The trauma was real.

Afterwards, Heian Ciemnosc returned to his cultivation bedroom. He wanted to invite Grietta again, but Little Dina was also bent on not wasting time. She had shown ample abilities to command and see things most cultivators miss. Her perception was great, but her attitude made Heian Ciemnosc want to look forward to this future ‘subordinate’. Also, she was spending too much time with her mother, taking Grietta and Heian Ciemnosc’s dual cultivation talks away.

… A few days later, a commotion spread throughout the Stormy Calm Sea Region. When it reached the mainland, it became their most important entertainment. They paused their meditation or cultivation every early morning to see if the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory suddenly invaded the ‘remaining’ Regions. It was more thrilling than waiting until it finally occurred.

About 80 Fleets moved at the same time. Billions of soldier units boarded those Fleets, and thousands of Frigate spaceships followed suit. As the Chief’s navy navigated to the southwest, they formed a sparse blockade, with only 7 Fleets rounding the Non-Presentable Calm Region’s west and south, and 4 Fleets blockading the Asabas Region’s southern sea territory.

Meanwhile, the Asabas Region’s easternmost land section was immediately rushed by 10 Fleets whose soldier units were itching to conquer this dry land, lacking life, to enjoy the true battles at the enemy 3* Region!

The other Fleets tightly moved through the Ephemon Region’s western coasts. The Non-Presentable Calm Region didn’t just use these 15 years to construct defensive measures inland. They also constructed another 6 Fleets, for a total of 10 for safeguarding their northeastern territory. It was the easiest and most vulnerable land section they had.

However, the Crimsons momentarily ignored them and went for the Asabas Region’s northern territory. After sticking to the Ephemon Region’s western territory, the Fleets deployed all their soldier units across the northern, northeastern, and southeastern shores.

The disembarked soldier units who had already landed on the southeasternmost territory were to aid these other armies. They weren’t planning to simply rush and kick the enemy down, then go ahead and fight the ‘true enemy’ at the southwestern corner of the Stormy calm Sea.

When the Fleets wanted to disembark, they were initially surprised by the enemy’s obscene quantity of personnel defending their coasts. Thus, they were delayed for half a day before successfully landing their troops on the enemy shores. Dozens of Fleets were required to rapidly take down the many enemy fortifications. How unexpected was that?

Each had a grand array formation, and they were operated by cultivators and citizens alike. As soon as the enemy saw them, they fired and defended their land with everything they got and more. But the Asabas Region’s military resources were only so much. Once their coasts were destroyed, the land forces’ battles began.

However, contrary to what anyone would think of the Region after enormously suffering such ‘punishment’. Their battling spirits were the greatest the Crimsons have faced so far. They clearly surpassed those of the northwest, unlike what they were before.

The seemingly half a year to 1 year long conquest of the Asabas Region suddenly slowed down. The disembarked armies at the overall eastern shores holed themselves and built a massive fortification before slowly expanding. The enemy’s numbers were absurd, and they even mounted their arsenal in improvised armored vehicles.

This all made it difficult to advance, actually slowing the armies, somewhat trapping them in their disembarked zones. The enemy was more than prepared, and it seemed like they did several plans for different situations, easily giving their territory to the unaware Crimsons.

As time passed, the Crimsons built several fortifications around their disembarked zones. Then, they waited for the armies sent to the southeasternmost to arrive and aid them. Meanwhile, the soldier units endured the hourly harassment from the enemy, sending countless energy attacks, shells, and bullets their way. At the end of each harassment, they sent a few dozen missiles and Arts before retreating.

At first, the Crimsons were taken by surprise. Casualties appeared rapidly, but the Captains knew to control the situation as quickly as possible. They avoided a heavy loss of soldier units and resources before they could even be threatened.

On the other hand, the army sent to the southeasternmost had difficulties moving westwards. The enemy was waiting for them, similarly to how the Crimsons had it when they invaded the Turtle Hiding Region’s south. Although the army wasn’t in danger, they were constantly delayed. It couldn’t be helped. There was no time limit, and doing something stupid only meant the worst outcomes when the war was over.

Slowly, the army made its way to the Region’s north’s south, where the special force was absolutely ready to ambush the Asabas Region’s remaining leading figures and whatever stronghold of resistance they could offer the Crimsons to satisfyingly destroy.

Months passed before the few billion soldier units occupied half the Asabas Region and lined up before the Region’s northern land section. But while the enemy waited for them, and the sneaky special force’s appearance, neither they nor the Non-Presentable Calm Region could have expected where the special force would show themselves, and how.
