Appearance Of The Bigshots
"Show us what your thing can do then," to the words that the announcer just said, Ciemnosc only raised his left eyebrow before letting it pass. If the announcer was like a child, even though Ciemnosc himself was the child here then so be it, he also provoked the poor soul that thought himself to be almighty and so on when it came to the contestants.
Without further ado, Ciemnosc wielded his glove, the thing fitting him perfectly almost, as the fingers of the glove were too long for his current 'small' body of an 11 years old. Once he put it on, he then explained the special features about it, his voice still sweet and cute. "My creation is called Colorful Claws, or CC. Though it is made mostly of bronze and less battle-oriented, it is already a top notch quality weapon."
“With the smaller contraptions here and there, this otherwise completely useless type of weapon becomes…” Ciemnosc continued, showing to the entire arena through the lens how his right hand, with the glove on, suddenly began moving from remaining stagnant and appearing to have instantly become stiff once worn. “Very flexible and even allows for anyone at the Spiritual Condensation realm to use their 2,000 kg of strength to use this without any problem.”
“Kid, answer what is important, can this be mass prod-” the announcer tried to, once again. But Ciemnosc, not giving more time to speak to him, spoke almost right away but only after rolling his eyes a little. “The process of the Colorful Claws is simple and that easy to follow, but the ones who are to follow said steps need to have a very high comprehension as well as a lot of familiarity when dealing with all of the materials that can be used to create anything but Mortal graded weapons.”
“Haha! I am no Craftsperson, kid, but even I know the diffc-” the announcer yet again attempted to, but it was once again a failed attempt as Ciemnosc continued without bothering about the voice running through the arena. “Its power is, however, incredibly good for any purpose. Be it assassination, direct battle, ambush and even defense, as it is a top notch quality only weapon, it can naturally defend against top notch quality weapons as well just as if a pair of swordsmen or an axe and thick shield were meeting each other in battle.”
“The materials necessary are easy to gather even for a barely starting organization, but only those with the level of capability that I spoke of would ever be able of creating this ‘thing’.” Ciemnosc stopped momentarily, and just as the announcer’s voice went out again and said the words ‘can you dem-’ entirely, Ciemnosc formed a sudden fist from his right hand.
Plak!
Then, as suddenly as he formed that fist, Ciemnosc let his legs become like jelly, his body falling towards the ground with his back straight, his right leg bending and his left leg stretching out leftwards. At the same time, he used only 2,000 kg strength to ‘bring’ his right hand with the CC against the arena’s floor, his fingers creating sparkles as it clashed with the floor!
“Though it can do only this much with the 2,000 kg strength, if one was to use their Power Energy and send it to their Colorful Claws, then its prowess would naturally be enhanced even more. However, this isn’t a simple sword, bow and arrow or polearm. The use of one’s Power Energy in this can be said to be tremendous, where even someone with a larger storage of Power Energy than others would be depleted after doing so for a few times in a single battle.”
“However, based in my reputation as both a Craftsperson and a Commander, I promise that the results are scary to say the least.” Ciemnosc as he looked at the lens, his face serious and stern, clearly showing he wasn’t trying to dishonestly make his way through fame with just words alone and his reputation backing him up; which gained him points from the crowd who were just as afraid and excited as before when the older teenager’s dual purpose pill was presented…but differently.
“Hmm! Well then kid, it seems that you got the entire arena to gleam for you, do you have anyone you would like to ch-” Though the announcer tried to hide it, his voice still revealed his annoyance and unwillingness to seeing Ciemnosc, for some reason other than being antagonized. It was then that Ciemnosc yeeet again interrupted him.
“I would liek to take a rest before my next round.” And saying so, Ciemnosc turned around, placed the CC on top of the forge with its palm facing the crowds in front before sitting down cross legged to really close his eyes and start meditation, but with his eyes somehow becoming blurry with some array’s function or so.
Many who saw it thought it was pretty good and all, thinking that it looked quite cool somehow, not knowing that it was only for Ciemnosc whose abilities had to be limited in some way…
…Time passed, and in no more than 5 minutes, there were a dozen more people who were looked at by the whole 15,000+ pairs of eyes around this arena floor through the lens, most of them showing incredible stuff that are ‘not that well’ seen often but that are quite making sense.
But due to the announcer’s annoyance and pettiness, basically, there were a few extra others that got the worst of it, getting screamed at and ending up stepping out on their own without being able to fully speak of and demonstrate their creation in the end.
However, though this was actually a normal occurrence in the grand event that this carnival is, and though the annoyance doing such things was overkilling it, the booths that remained dark as those things happened could have already sent someone to intercept and privately ask them to follow them back home to become slaves- well, workers and followers of such.
Now that wasn’t new, with some other previous contestants that were too sad to continue before but that felt they tried their best to an impossible level possibly having been contacted like this by some of them. It was all really in the book, and only the pseudo-ignorant, with the ‘ignorance is bliss’ motto would not ‘realize’ about such obvious happenings.
After that was over with, and with the booths that shined all for Ciemnosc but were gone briefly due to the quick and rather flash-like explanation and demonstration of his creation no longer becoming all full with any of the other contestants that were shown through the lens, the second opportunity was to finally begin.
“Contestants!...” The announcer’s voice reverberated through the whole floor, making its appearance this time while directing his words towards both contestants and the crowds as well as the jury for that matter. Ignoring it, however, Ciemnosc opened his eyes only once he heard the announcer speak of the time for the second opportunity’s round’s 30 minutes to begin.
And then…immediately…Ciemnosc actually started building a Synergized Equatrend Mobilizer!
The moment he took out the materials, the intellectual, or wise ones, within the crowd began showing their insanely shocked countenances as they were then asked and begged to be told of what drama they remembered. After a few minutes needed for such people to recompose themselves, they then began explaining, and after a few minutes, the scene of Ciemnosc slowly building such a thing live became extremely attractive for millions and millions of viewers through the intranet!
It wasn’t just the Self-Mutilating Honores Sect members, but also that of other major organizations and ‘just’ organizations! They might not be capable of mass-producing these and always needed the strongest major organization to buy those from them, they could just begin to once again study how to make them for themselves just by watching Ciemnosc create it!
His movements, like before, were simple, and he even moved well enough until the lens that for some reason didn’t hide anymore after it was beginning to go back to standby at the side. Now, most of the floor was looking at Ciemnosc, at least from time to time, as well as millions of other pairs of eyes from several different organizations. In a way, it was too late to stop it and Ciemnosc had already been going on for a few minutes like that anyway.
Ciemnosc didn’t stop for a moment, but he was still somewhat slow in his movements, not many seemed to think of the actual time needed to build such a potent tool and/or component that made up most of the current, most advanced technology. In the end, Ciemnosc sobered people up as what he built in 13 minutes seemed to be an actual Synergized Equatrend Mobilizer without its proper finishing array.
And so, one of the most important secrets of the Self-Mutilating Honores Sect which kept them having many, many ways to keep on getting richer and richer was smoothly shown to the world, more or less, by Ciemnosc in this ‘simple’ carnival!
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
It was, indeed, a thing that was already erupting all around, a thing that would even keep on erupting in the near, near future and that would make the entire game of the 4 major organizations…somewhat begin to balance.
But as he finished building the most lucrative item in the entire world and was just waiting for the round to end, the one and only person responsible for these seemingly skyrocketing-like changes was all too uncaring for those stuff. It in fact seemed as if Ciemnosc was just ‘feeling too low’ to even care about it, he simply closed his eyes and they became blurry from anyone’s eyes from the outside, as he rested.
After several minutes, Ciemnosc heard the announcer once again declare the end of the opportunity’s time limit, taking out a couple of guys who were possibly too slow to do one last step and ended up being kicked out nonetheless. Hence, he stood up with somewhat of a bored attitude and when it came up to it, he explained rather briefly that it was just what everyone could see it was, his creation; just needing the array for completing it.
With his explanation, from which a demonstration wasn’t necessary, everyone was either glad or frustrated and feeling blue balled at knowing that Ciemnosc didn’t go all out to show the Synergized Equatrend Mobilizer’s secrets, still having some kind of confidentiality with the Self-Mutilating Honores Sect, but also showing where his ‘loyalty’ lied.
In a short few minutes, as even less than half a dozen people were chosen to briefly explain and demonstrate their wonderful ‘unique’ creations besides Ciemnosc, not even forming a half a dozen people together with him, the 3rd opportunity round finally came to be.
“Contestants! Those who have managed to show up your faces even up to this point and have yet received any attention from any of our precious guests, this is your last opportunity to show your worth!! Your last chance, after this, unless you are someone like commander Ciemnosc without talent, then you should already have lost all hope and should just leave by now!”
…The announcer’s voice came to be, as well, yet again… But this time, Ciemnosc ignored the voice completely, and instead, he crossed his arms as his body slowly and slightly began to relax and yet to feel somewhat sleepy. Additionally, he was getting a slight headache from the top left corner of his head.
“Now, the 30 minutes…start right now!-” The announcer, without feeling any more patient, began narrating his already robotic-like words once again, letting the remaining few a thousand and hundreds of contestants to begin the dream they so wanted to achieve, with Ciemnosc also walking up to his cauldron and beginning to take some of the herbs that were also at the floor… But then, a cold, yet melodic and somewhat….soft voice rang out and interrupted the announcer.
“Wait a moment, please… … … Little Ciemnosc?”
But this time, not only did the announcer become extra quiet and dared not say anything back to the owner of that voice, he even directly seemed to disconnect the systems enhancing his voice entirely which many could feel when hearing the difference coming from that ‘audio’.
‘Don’t trust them anymore…’
And so, that was how the most transcendental beauty of white hair appeared right before Ciemnosc, walking towards him after a path of snowflakes were made from one of the booths up above to all the way below.
“!...” Ciemnosc’s eyes were opened wide, the herbs in his hands were released, their bodies slowly falling onto the ground, the cauldron behind him as he had turned around seemed to cool down instantly and his mouth opened and closed; sometimes saying a word or two. “Sect master Yolin? Why are…is going on… You are here… What is it…”
“...ah.” With her hands in front of her lower belly, her arms dropped down, sect master Yolin looked at Ciemnosc with her breathtaking beautiful eyes and her head tilted to the right, showing a type of concerned and calming gaze all over her face towards him. “Oh, Ciemnosc. Mm, well, what were you going to do this time? You can just tell me.”
“Sect master Yolin, why are you here?” Ciemnosc, however, only asked her in return to her antics and her words. Her current behavior spoke red…alerts all over inside his head. Yet, all that the sect master of the Preferential Light Justice sect did was to repeat, “Just tell me.”
Her smile, not natural but widely extended lips from cheek to cheek, seemingly a natural gesture on her face from her part - towards him. Ciemnosc looked on at her, giving the rest of her body a glance before letting his gaze fall on her face, scrutinizing it all over and over again slowly and continuously.
“It was going to be something rather simple, actually.” Ciemnosc began, his face becoming lifeless, bit and bit by bit, making the ‘caring’ appearance of the sect master slowly ache and ache more as he continued and his eyes furthermore became more and more lifeless. “It was a dangerous pill, one that could use the Darkness element to be used as a poisonous pill or even directly as a weapon.”
“It needs only a bit of the Darkness element, unlike any other pill of Elemental poison. And this pill doesn’t need any improvement, it is not required. Even if there was a need for this poison to be used as a large poisonous bomb, or even missile, then it would only need to be modified a bit for that specific purpose, not needing to be improved or researched on furthermore.”
“It is practically a complete pill, it needs no further study, and it can be mass produced with enough capable Craftspeople…working on it.” Ciemnosc finished, and by the time he did, there were people coming down the booths from all sides, surrounding him. Even though he wasn’t looking to his back and sides, his Spirit Sense scanned over another 3 groups of people, each from a different major organization.
On the other hand, those coming down from the front to accompany the sect master of the Preferential Light Justice Sect were none other than the members of that very same sect, including the grand elder and grand ancestor - among some elders and acting elders.
From the other 3 directions, there were cultivators of similar positions and cultivation bases, all taking a good look at what was Ciemnosc like the piece of meat that he is supposed to be in their eyes.
“Darkness? Why Darkness?” It was at this moment that the set master, Yolin, spoke once again and this time in askance towards our precious Ciemnosc. The tone of her voice was so alienating, to Ciemnosc, and distant too as if she was seeing the future; some kind of hallucinatory reaction. Her eyebrows furrowed, in disgust, and that was when she looked at him with her eyebrows and expression slowly easing up, about to speak to him with some resolve in her eyes…before it was suddenly crumpled by the voice of another - from the group that was directly to Ciemnosc’s left.
While gazing at the disappearing resolve in her eyes as he turned his head to look left at the voice who began to speak, Ciemnosc’s body began to slowly tense, his muscles, veins, tendons, bones and organs seemingly tensing up to the anticipation…
“It’s because that is his nature, sect master Yolin,” the speaker of said words and owner of that condescending, loud and deep tone was none other than pastor Erquiles. The nice looking cult pastor of the Moribund Yearning Cult, with his very short gray hair and dead serious innate countenance continued, “This Ciemnosc, even from before when he was discovered to begin his cultivation path back at our territory, he has always left a trail of murder under our noses!”
“Let’s not even talk about the death of a couple of young cultivators from some of our subordinate organizations, he even dared to kill his own village’s people!! He had completely murdered everyone from his own village! How can such a thing be allowed in this world? He is full of Darkness! And he has always been plagued by it!”
“The young cultivators who were on a simple date between such children lovebirds, or the people that are the same as one’s family; he has gone against the laws of nature by executing murderous acts! Even raping whatever body he could fin before they got cold, we have all the proof in our hands, and their tarnished corpses as well!”
“Only…” The pastor suddenly seemed to be impacted by the thought of something, as if simply saying that something was too much, and remembering it much worse. But still, so valiantly, he continued, “It is a pity that we couldn’t preserve most of the corpses, only a few little girls’ bodies from the village and some of their families were all that we could rescue before safely putting their disrespected corpses to rest…”
How did it feel to suddenly be the target, the center and magnet of a whole conspiracy of the strongest powers against oneself? Of the highest people towards someone not even that…high?
Just as Ciemnosc felt a little bit of seething blood from within his forearms and wrists, from his right ear, a cold yet somewhat soft voice directly made it shake as if in response…to the shock.
“Is that truth, li-...Ciemnosc? Have you done all of those…” Suddenly, sect master Yolin’s voice turned colder, so cold, as she finished her unfinished phrase just now. “Things were done by you?”
“...” Ciemnosc slowly turned his head around, faced sect mater Yolin and saw a pair of coldest eyes looking into his darkest ones, becoming as if one of a kind, her white irises seemingly trying to penetrate into them and force the words out of him; but maybe not the answer.
Instead of responding, with rage visible accumulated in his upper cheek bones and somewhat around his eyes, not quite in his serene, now real lifeless eyes; he simply looked back at her, not speaking a single word.
In return, sect master Yolin…began feeling some sort of…warm sweat trickling down her back body under her clothes?!
As she was having trouble speaking her words of accusing Ciemnosc to have done them and him being naturally admitting to it with his silence, it was the Self-Mutilating Honores Sect’s sect master turn to say, his glad and wide, such a large smile of his face receding at last to speak and not look like a complete retard in the eyes of the honorable and demanding others around him.
“Ciemnosc, you even dared to bring your own first team on your first mission to extinction after finding some differences with them, colluding with the unaware Moribund Yearning Cult believers back then who weren’t prepared for such a situation and orchestrating everybody’s death!”
“Then, when you drove everyone towards the perilous area, you then really brought everyone to death by tricking them into either running around not knowing the awful deaths that awaited them outside or that were lurking inside of the mansion… You are vile!”
“...?” After gazing so deeply into sect master Yolin’s eyes, so much that while the sect master Holoriu himself was speaking, he became nervous seeing the still lingering connection and emotions shared with just their almost emotionless-towards-each-other eyes facing off each other, causing him to speak even louder and somewhat shakily.
…
