Raining Missiles, Rocket Deluge
5 days later. Deep in the night, at the outer sea from the Green Emirate Grotto's sea territory.
Plop, plop. Swooosh. "...?" The obscure waters of the sea were parted and forced upwards by dozens of enormous bodies surfacing into the open air. There was barely any showcase of making a commotion when an enemy patrolling warship from the top 5 organizations seemed to sense something. Several seconds later, as the outer sea welcomed the sight of hundreds of Frigates, well-dispersed, and larger warships surfacing at the sides, they acted. "Enemy spotted! Enemy spotted!! The Empire's attack has commenced!!!"
Wruuuuuuuuureeeeeeeek~!~!~!~! An alarm sounded from the enemy’s sea territory, and as if that was also the sign for the Empire’s navy, the hundreds of Frigates immediately started advancing at a steady pace, not using their full possible speed to move forwards. What was somewhat shocking, however, was that these Frigates seemed somehow unrelated to an Empire’s fleet. More than anything, the Frigates from an Empire’s fleet were at the side, in their respective Flotillas, and not simply in the middle of a formation.
Pum! Pum! Pum! Pum! Ta rararara rarara rarara rarara! Pfiuh pfiuh pfiuh! Swoooooshh~~!
The Frigates were accompanied by the fleet escorting them. As soon as the fleet and the hundreds of Frigates started moving, the Middle and Advanced Destroyers took the lead while the Frigates from each Flotilla remained close, protecting them. Then, as the enemy warships were coming to gain details of the situation and the enemy Fleets were being prepared for an all-out battle, the Medium and Advanced Destroyers showcased their rocket launchers!
“... Goddammit! They had those, too?!” In the enemy’s naval base in the sea territory, their Carrier commander was astounded as he watched the images from some of their new systems. His eyes widened, and the hot breath from Death seemed to want to hold his cheeks and pinch them. The Carrier commander knew he could die here in this battle, but someone had to fight! Thus, he parted his eyes from the holograms and began to order his second-in-command.
“Immediately flank them! It doesn’t matter how many Frigates they have. We have rocket launchers, too! We’ll surround these motherfuckers and slowly grind them to the bottom…” - “Yes, leader!!” The others responded to their Fleet’s commander's words, leaving his cabin to return to their warships at maximum flying speed. Some even took their personal Fighters and began mobilizing their crew members.
… On the other hand, the battle in the Green Emirate Grotto’s sea territory was already starting. Rockets flew, and dozens of enemy warships sank especially the enemy Frigates. Their Offensive type was immediately destroyed, but the Empire also suffered. Their Flotillas lost a couple Frigates from the get-go, as the enemy had prepared well for timely responding against another invasion.
They weren’t dumb enough to invade the Blauw Empire after the Wrath Nihility Academy’s little black monster, rumored for his contribution to the war effort in the first war the Kingdom had seen in Periods, let alone many years later, when such a monster had grown, and was soon no longer little, but still that little.
However, the enemy had built some smallish fortresses filled with a few dozen missiles ready to be launched at any moment. There was only 1 round, so those fortresses would be abandoned even if it wasn’t targeted afterwards. Either way, the Frigates had the choice to maneuver but leave the Destroyers, carrying those precious rocket launchers and at least a couple rounds of rockets unprotected. It couldn’t be, and a few Frigates were sunken with some of their people surviving.
That was only for the Second fleet’s Flotillas. The Frigates inside the formation, steadily moving towards the Green Emirate Grotto inland, were completely unassigned to protect those Destroyers. Instead, the Destroyers were meant to protect them, so most of them could land on the ground and find a way to start gaining inland territory after so long!!
“...” In one of the frigates in the middle, towards the rear. Blauw Ishikyy stood on the Frigate’s deck before her central command module. She looked ahead as her exquisitely smooth, aquamarine, azure hair flowed behind her. Although she was a Private soldier unit, the Warrant Officer named her his equal and practically passed the reins of the Frigate to her. Of course, this had to be first accepted by the higher-ups.
They had to go all out and land in the enemy’s inland territory, at least their shores. Blauw Ishikyy was thinking of how to do that… what her most significant worry could be, and how to guide ‘her’ new soldiers. Her eyes narrowed as she suddenly looked to the right, where she could see several dozen missiles flying towards their vanguard’s right side. Her eyes widened to a full as she looked back and gave those in the cabin a sign while shouting into her medallion.
“Prepare for disbanding!! Phase 2 begins early!!!” Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
“!” As soon as Blauw Ishikyy’s words left her lips, their vanguard was obliterated by several dozen missiles flying towards them. All at the same time. The impact was a few kilometers away, but it still affected the rear, let alone the formation’s middle, where Blauw Ishikyy’s Frigate was located. Right away, the sound of anti-missile turrets working sounded everywhere, and missiles detonating in the sky and before them followed nonstop.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh~~! Waves broke apart when landing on the Frigates’ starboard sides, but there were too many, and their speed and movement onwards were momentarily halted. However, once her experts’ team recomposed, they started their Frigate, moving at maximum speed and leaving behind the middle-rear quite rapidly. Unbeknownst to them, they were the only Frigate to respond this readily, but the others woke up seeing one of their Frigates zoom into the distance as pre-accorded.
“Follow behind!!” - “At maximum speed! Now!!” - “Come on, we’re joining the line! The rest — rush inland! RUSH!” Swoooooooooosh~! Swoooooosh~! Swooooooooosh~! Swoosh~!
With the water favoring her, Blauw Ishikyy was already on her feet as her Frigate led a spearhead rush into the enemy’s territory. The first Frigate behind her was a couple kilometers away, but they were consistent in their speed and would only need to keep it up to disembark together. Then, as Blauw Ishikyy took a lance from her Covert Space bag, courtesy of any Imperial Guard’s arsenal before every battle, an expert in the central command module reported. “Chief, we’re detecting multiple missiles aimed towards our general direction! The enemy has realized our intention!”
“How many?!” Blauw Ishikyy shouted as she lowered her stance, nearly crouching while holding to a pole with her left hand and grabbing her lance with her right hand tighter. The expert was silent for 1 second before nervously replying, “Hundreds… it's hundreds!! We can’t do anything! They want to eliminate every single one of us! Chief!”
The Warrant Officer remained silent with crossed arms, but sweat streaked down his temples. Blauw Ishikyy’s eyes gradually widened as she looked up to her right, where the contrail of several hundred enormous things flew towards the sky. They suddenly stopped and seemed to no longer move that much. However, she knew that only meant they aimed at her and all those Frigates.
Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiii~~ prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiii~!~!~!~! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Just then, potent and blatant blasts from anti-missile turrets flew from far away to the sky, immediately exploding a few dozen. Blauw Ishikyy looked back to see the Carrier and Battleships focus their anti-missile turrets, all of them, to defend them! Meanwhile, the Destroyers reloaded their rocket launchers, seemingly preparing for something. Lastly, the Carrier and Battleship were being bombarded and fired at, but their shields held tight and tanked them all up.
“Onwards!!” - “Onwaaaaaards~~~~!” Blauw Ishikyy felt her blood surge. She pointed forwards with her lance and shouted, accidentally revealing her fangs and putting pressure on her crew members, coming from the deepest parts of their beings, greatly startling them. However, they were goddamn well-trained and only lost their cool for a second. Following her command, the other Frigates rushed forward, not stopping once, towards inland!!
Swooooooooooooossshhhhhhhhh~~!!... … …- pfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpf~!
“!!” - “!!!” - “?!” Suddenly, hundreds of Frigates heard a terribly scary sound… or series of sounds. It was the familiar sound of rockets being fired, but what caused them to be scared was that it wasn’t from their side! Sure enough, they looked to their upper right and saw how the rockets that had just sounded were only a few kilometers away, each leaving a vast contrail behind from more than a hundred kilometers apart.

Pfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpf~! However! The Empire wasn’t stupid, and the Destroyers, immediately prepared, launched their rockets towards the incoming enemy rockets! They all had the same speed, but the Destroyers were much closer, and their systems had more than enough time to target the enemy rockets and reach them before even letting their expansive shockwaves affect the hundreds of Frigates.
BOOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOOM! BOOM!
That wasn’t it, and before Blauw Ishikyy’s eyes could grow astounded evermore, more rockets flew from the enemy side, followed by their Destroyers and Cruisers sending rocket launchers to defend them. A series of loud, powerful explosions followed, making each of them feel small and incapable. They had Neutral Energy, but only by using all of their might could they replicate a missile’s explosion without much velocity behind its force.
And only after spending blood essence could they fully replicate the missile’s all-out explosion. However, a rocket was different. To face a rocket, one must destroy it with either anti-projectile turrets… or other rockets.
“Incoming missiles! We seem to be fine regarding those fucking rockets, but missiles are still coming our way! Our anti-missile turrets cannot deal with these many!” Another expert reported in Blauw Ishikyy’s Frigate. She steeled her eyes and commanded with a little grin forming at the left corner of her lips, “Evasive maneuvers! All citizens to their locking belts seats!!”
“Hua!!” The Frigate responded in command, and a few experts started being hugged from behind by their seats, covering their foreheads and necks as a mask pulled them against their seats. Immediately after, Blauw Ishikyy knelt on the spot, still holding a pole attached to the deck with her left hand, but stored her lance and placed her right palm on its surface. Water particles and Neutral Energy mixed before drilling downwards.
“Let me continue this fight… let me continue this fight… … let me face our enemy!!” Muttering under her breath, Blauw Ishikyy closed her eyes and finished her ritual before slowly standing back up. As she did, her aquamarine, azure hair flowed left and right, and the lower end peaked up time and again as the Frigate started crazily spinning, dashing, and changing direction as if it was going mad.
Her body didn’t move even a millimeter, and she faced the front as missiles failed her Frigate by just a notch and entered the water, exploding below them but only reaching the surface after they were gone. Other missiles were detonated just several tens of meters above the Frigate, forcing the experts to spin and drift in the waves before resuming their rush towards inland. But, suddenly, Blauw Ishikyy’s eyes widened, and she looked straight to her right and then up.
A missile was crashing down on them, having taken a long trajectory forwards before suddenly changing direction and diving, targeting her Frigate. Another swam through the water, avoiding any other missile explosion or rockets that could’ve penetrated through it and not been affected by the subsequent explosion. The anti-missile turrets were too busy aiming at everything else and barely had any chance to divert their attention to the missiles swimming around.
Pshiiiiiiiift~! Blauw Ishikyy’s eyes furiously exploded with might as Neutral Energy covered her shoulders, gradually spreading to her arms and hands. Her tail and claws came out, and her skin became covered by aquamarine, azure scales extending above her jaws, slowly closing towards her eyes. Her right hand showcased a lance again, and she gripped it viciously. The other hand let go of the pole, and for a moment, she started flying away from the Frigate.
However, what replaced the exquisite, beautiful, pristine scales from her left hand was… a Colorful Claw Artifact!! Blauw Ishikyy wasted no time and directly jumped forwards as her tail extended downwards, fully erect. Her right hand was folded with her elbow aiming before her, slightly up. Her left Colorful Claw slowly took air into its palm, thrusting forwards with some angle to the right.
Pshiiift~- booooom~! Fwump! Cuuh, cuuh, cuuh, cuuh, cuuuh- bang! Whoosh!! Fwip~! Thud-Clank!
Blauw Ishikyy’s right arm unfolded upwards, cleaving the air before her as Water element and Neutral Energy poured into her attack, and a pair of brightest azure eyes appeared behind both sides of her head. A long cut was sent up, flying towards the incoming missile. It penetrated and started cutting its head into two, but before more than the head was divided, the missile exploded. Just a moment later, her left Colorful Claw streaked to her right, passing before her sternum, and met the incoming missile head-on with the air she stored turning moist and creating a bubble.
When the Colorful Claw’s palm and missile’s head met, the former instantly increased in size, gobbling the entire head as its watery bubbly liquid expanded. Then, the missile self-exploded after finding itself semi-trapped. Blauw Ishikyy’s head went low just as it was about to explode, and her scales suddenly shone like a divine item, but they were blown away into pieces and cracks as the missile self-detonated.
Blauw Ishikyy’s body flew insanely fast towards the sea… but this happened in less than a second. Blauw Ishikyy had just jumped, and her tail extended downwards when the first missile exploded. And when she was about to be blown away by the second missile’s explosion, her tail was tugged at by a few Neutral Energy lassos, forcing her blown body to slam against her Frigate’s deck.
There was no smoke, no fire, only a body that fell backwards on the Frigate’s deck, nearly toppling them over, but no one complained. The Frigate continued moving as a few Imperial Guards and the Warrant Officer slowly stepped out and towards her. Her body was bloody, with many smallish cuts where her scales had been just a few moments ago. Her face scrunched up, in pain, but not fearing a possible death. She suddenly felt something weird provoking her to twist her neck and lift her head to look at a bunch of dumbfounded Imperial Guards.
“How long until we arrive at their shore?” Blauw Ishikyy asked. Her medallion responded as a message via it traveled to her mind with Spirit Sense. “2 minutes! Still more than 2,000 km ahead of us! More incoming missiles! Although the enemy is sending fewer rockets, there’s still more as well! All citizens are fine for now, but we can’t keep decreasing our pace… also, the others are catching up... maybe we should hurry.”
“Heh,” Blauw Ishikyy grinned, extended her left hand to let the Warrant Officer pick her up, and said to the crew members through her medallion. “If we’re not first, none of you will fight with me again! If we are first, I promise to guide you to bathe in their blood or bring you back home myself!”
“... HUAA!” The meaning of her words was obvious. And after a moment of processing, the crew members, of course, shouted to their hearts' content. Blauw Ishikyy thus took another polearm from her Covert Space bags and thought of one of the things that her teacher promised her, looked down at the halberd in her right hand, and thought back to the previous lance whose blade practically cut through a missile long enough to allow her to avoid the latter’s explosion.
“...” Above, following after her, Heian Ciemnosc kept his hands crossed behind his back and grinned, seemingly reading through the young girl’s thoughts. He then narrowed his eyes out of nowhere and darted them leftwards. They looked at somewhere, and although he couldn’t quite catch it, he believed to see through the illusory array formations and Spirit Sense to stare at someone’s eyes. However, although this person escaped Heian Ciemnosc’s senses and could only feel them when they wanted him to know, he wasn’t afraid.
Instead of stopping, Heian Ciemnosc continued to fly forwards in his Ornament. He didn’t need to sit in it as his Spirit Sense did all the work. Gadgets of being such a perfect all-rounder cultivator. Thinking about it, Heian Ciemnosc wondered if any other person with talents like his would ever appear, but that was obviously impossible. He pondered a bit more about that thought, ignoring the person whose eyes were still on his Ornament, directly landing on his body.
He watched as his apprentice’s Fighter kept dancing among missiles, forcibly detonating some in the air and cooperatively working with her Imperial Guards to fend off against those close to destroying their shield and, with some bad luck, their Frigate. That would be horrible, not because death was more likely, but because that meant their fight was over unless they boarded another Frigate, but the latter had the orders to never stop and rush inland.
Not too long after, nearly 3 minutes later, Heian Ciemnosc watched his apprentice being welcomed by the enemy cultivators. Despite half her Neutral Energy wasted in the previous 2 missiles she faced alone and a little more in the subsequent ones, she obliterated any enemy in the same stage, proved to be undefeatable against those 1 stage above her cultivation base, and wasn’t weaker than those 2 or 3 stages above her.
Her Mortal polearms kept changing as they broke part one after the other, becoming pieces and shards on the ground, accompanying the corpses she and her Frigate’s crew members left behind as its automatic mode cleaned their sides and helped the other Frigates disembark more easily. Blauw Ishikyy’s Frigate was the first to land, causing a proud shake of someone’s head. Someone looked forward to commanding and guiding others more than Heian Ciemnosc expected. However, that was fine.
Soon, Blauw Ishikyy started forming a perimeter around the shore, temporarily taking it under their name while the Second fleet’s main forces kept battling the shit out of each other against the incoming enemy Fleets. As Frigates disembarked, 15 minutes afterwards, the sea suddenly welcomed an extremely long, tall Watery barrier that started consuming all firepower from the enemy. But one of the Second fleet’s Battleships had its shield taken off and was already getting damaged, saved by the bell, this Border Wall.
In the first hour, once the shore perimeter was secured, each Frigate took 3 Fighters from their interiors and boarded it, sharing it among other Crew members to fly it in batches of 3 soldier units. This way, thousands of Fighters would carry soldier units to battle and graze down the enemy’s forces with their machine guns and missiles. Meanwhile, the Second fleet’s previous U-shaped formation became a long line with the Border Wall effectuated, creating a stalemate the enemy was underwhelmingly hopeless against.
