There Is This Type Of Little Bedtime Story... (2)

Thud. "..." Heian Ciemnosc became silent, but his intentions were a little too clear. He left his previous thoughts behind and focused on what he had to deal with. Breaking into the Farsighted realm. He looked up at the heavenly beauty, explaining, "I have 2 ways, and Miss doesn't have to engage in any 'activity' with this other method. It will help me just as much as dual cultivating would. Moreover, I'm not sure if my dual cultivation method would work between us.”

“...” The heavenly beauty returned the silence with a smile, wide and breathtaking. She unceremoniously nodded and lifted her legs outside the vortex. Her feet didn’t reappear. Instead, the vortex remained from her shins to her soles, but her ethereal blue Soul body finally moved outside her previous chains. “It will be my honor to serve you, Sir.”

Wheesh. She floated towards Heian Ciemnosc and hugged around his shoulders, placing her hands behind Heian Ciemnosc’s ears as he looked into his glabella. “I believe Sir has already tried something similar with someone else. It will be similar. I will… die after engaging, as this requires me to use the last vestige of my Soul to exist for a few days. It was intended to be used for a killing move in case it was needed, but there’s no need anymore.”

The heavenly beauty slowly and gracefully straddled Heian Ciemnosc. Only then did Heian Ciemnosc realize how taller and magnificent this woman was. Her pinkish, delicate nightgown-like delicate dress fell from her body as she exited her dull-jade stone bed. Her legs were the length of Heian Ciemnosc’s legs and a half, with a supple yet slender thickness to turn him crazy.

The heavenly beauty’s arms were long, but they lacked muscle definition, looking dainty yet impenetrable. Her head was slightly larger than Heian Ciemnosc, and her height probably 2.5 meters, quite a few heads higher than him. Her breasts might be small, tender blobs on her snow pale white skin, and the brown grapes on them quite thick and protruding, but the rest of her torso was a paradisaical eyeful.

As she straddled him, Heian Ciemnosc’s clothes ‘magically’ dissipated into thin air, not even sparing his dark coat. She smiled as she stared at Heian Ciemnosc face to face. “I hope to be Sir’s worthy, good host.”

Saying that, the heavenly beauty immediately started up and down her hips, with her belly against Heian Ciemnosc’s. Her Soul remained ethereal, but all Heian Ciemnosc felt was carnal lips, body, and even bones as a growing warmth was taken from him and shared with the natural-less, dying Semi-Soul.

Heian Ciemnosc couldn’t wait to taste her wonderful, brown pearls from her bunnies as she was entrusted with the ups and downs. Heian Ciemnosc’s face constantly traveled between the heavenly beauty’s chest and her face as she invigoratingly spoiled him. Her Soul started quivering as the dual cultivation method was employed, and this was just the Soul-connecting penetration’s start. The real pleasurable deal was when he adopted his member to her womb’s.

Days were bound to pass by…

. . .

3 weeks later.

More than 25 km below the surface, Heian Ciemnosc sat bare with half a Soul body learning on his chest. The dual cultivation had already ended. Heian Ciemnosc held the heavenly beauty, whose body had already dissipated up to her waist, and she rested on his collarbone with her eyes closed. Her eyelashes were tightly shut.

“...” Heian Ciemnosc looked down at the immeasurable beauty who was suffering. Just an hour ago, they were engaging in their never-ending routine, not having rested for even a millisecond all this long. But 30 minutes earlier, they stopped after traveling back and forth between the heavens and the earth. Both knew that was the last time.

Immediately after, the heavenly beauty collapsed on his body as her Soul gradually dissipated. Heian Ciemnosc held her head from her profile sides as she suffered. This was death, and she was lucky to not suffer extinction, or Heian Ciemnosc would’ve felt pity. He held her dearly. How could he not? His cultivation base had broken into the Farsighted realm small stage!

But Heian Ciemnosc’s thoughts were not on his cultivation base, but on accompanying this person, whose existence would soon cease. At this very moment, Heian Ciemnosc felt Sara near his head in his inner universe as she also looked at the dying Semi-Soul.

“You… would… will you do something?” Sara hesitatingly asked. Heian Ciemnosc fell silent. His darkest eyes looked down, and with a not-unfounded strike of decisiveness, he gently enveloped the Semi-Soul with his dark vigor Energy.

“Mmmf~,” her body calmed down, becoming visibly tranquil. Her soft, comfortable moan exposed what she felt as Heian Ciemnosc covered her with his unique energy. In Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes, a trace of thin ordinary orange and yellow crossed from side to side as a crackle of flames sounded just before the dark Vigor Energy wholly wrapped around the heavenly beauty’s body.

Just like that, a person from long ago disappeared into the nothingness like many other civilians, cultivators, and citizens in a near future would. Through war, age, discrimination, accidents, or simply nature’s work. But, this time, what this death meant to Heian Ciemnosc as he carried her body in the moments of loneliness, pleasure, pain, and comfort— gave him a strange, brand-new notion.

“She’s okay now… At least she’ll find a place in her next life,” quietly said Sara. Heian Ciemnosc felt she was content having avoided someone’s extinction. It seemed as if she was weary of such a thing. This made Heian Ciemnosc wonder what the hell happened to her world.

Now, Heian Ciemnosc knew the Lords were indeed ‘targeted’ in some way by the world because of everyone’s ‘misconduct’ across time. He didn’t know what it was all about, so he understands nothing. But in the future, when he grows and learns things like today’s death, he will… do his best to uncover it all.

“I never thought you’d act like a delicate woman, Sara. Have you become soft?” Heian Ciemnosc asked after a quarter of an hour in the same position even after the heavenly beauty’s Soul dissipated. Sara sniffled in his inner universe and rubbed her eyes, “Dummy, no. It’s not that, bah! I’ve seen you do worse things to our prisoners just for the sake of studying the differences between Steps. What does this matter?”

“She helped you, that’s just fitting, don’t you think?” Sara asked, counterattacking Heian Ciemnosc’s questioning. He grinned and didn’t say more. Sara also didn’t want to speak anymore and drifted into his endlessly pure darkness.

“!” Suddenly, Heian Ciemnosc’s expression changed. He looked in the direction that the heavenly beauty had looked at earlier. It was also the direction Sara had been worried about. He sensed the calling again, and the deceased Semi-Soul’s words rebirthed in his head. Heian Ciemnosc fell pensive as he kept gazing in that direction. “...”

Whoosh- crughh crugghh… Heian Ciemnosc hopped upwards and took his Claws Out. He stabbed at the stone ceiling, his dark claws passing through it like soft sand. He maintained his body hanging from the ceiling until he lifted his feet’s dark claws and stabbed them into the stone ceiling. Then, his hands’ claws parted the ceiling softly, while the ‘strengthened’ dirt from before fell down from above in between.

Plah! WHOOOOOSOH!!

Heian Ciemnosc’s 1 meter long dark tail appeared, unfolding from his lower rear and immediately slapping the air as soon as Heian Ciemnosc cleared an open path enough for himself. He placed his claws above his head in a cone stance while letting go of his body. His dark tail swooped at the air and his body exploded upwards just as he began falling.

Tru- trut! Turu… crggh…

“...” Heian Ciemnosc maintained silence as his shoulders met many boulders and even some ginormous worms slumbering several kilometers underneath the surface. Before the poor worms’ blood, flesh, and viscous liquid around their bodies plastered on Heian Ciemnosc’s body, his dark Vigor Energy ate it all away as a nutrient and snack after fasting for so long from delicacies. Not including the Semi-Soul.

Pew- whoosh! Heian Ciemnosc’s body flew from a brand-new hole while Evans wasn’t paying attention and was grooming his feathers. It was morning, and as Evans had just woken up from a nap after ‘exercising’ a lot, he suddenly saw his owner flying from the earth like a worm. He nearly went ahead to catch the new worm with his talons, when he noticed it was his master instead…

Criii! Evans cried before skipping towards Heian Ciemnosc. Heian Ciemnosc soundlessly landed on the ground, still at the top of the hill, and stopped Evans’s beak and face that lunged towards him. Heian Ciemnosc slightly grinned before immediately easing his expression. “Missed me this much? It was just a few days. Besides, didn’t you get busy, too?”

As Heian Ciemnosc spoke, he gestured to the bunch of sleeping, unconscious worms from all lengths and volumes sprawled on the tall grass areas, littered and lacking vitality. Evans proudly looked around as if to check Heian Ciemnosc looked at every masterpiece he created. When he confirmed those were everyone, Evans cried into the sky excitedly.

Heian Ciemnosc shook his head, helpless. Not even subspecies that have nothing to do with avian species are safe from him. Heian Ciemnosc had to keep this young master away from his Fauna in the future when he decided to create a living place for caretaking.

“Let’s go, we still have one more place to go,” Heian Ciemnosc rubbed the golden brown beak before grabbing one of Evans’s feathers on his neck and pulling himself up from there. Evans echoed with a guttural sound like echo localization. Heian Ciemnosc sat on Evans’s neck towards the middle and added, “Don’t worry, it won’t take long. I think. It shouldn’t be a problem.”

Criii… Evans slumped his shoulders and spread his wings, fluttering them once as Heian Ciemnosc felt the isolation of wind and air. In the next seconds, they were tens of kilometers into the sky and more than a hundred kilometer farther from the Calatida Region. This place and that calling sensation’s location were coincidentally on the same path.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes squinted slightly as he looked ahead. Sara chose to be silent for the time being. As for their journey, it would take a few days at most with Evans’s maximum speed.

Heian Ciemnosc’s cultivation base reached the Farsighted realm… His Spirit Sense astronomically increased, practically evolving. But instead of reaching about 1 Region, which was already the case at the Life-Long realm… Heian Ciemnosc just knew his Spirit Sense could thoroughly scan an entire Minor Kingdom!

… Several days passed in silence. Heian Ciemnosc sat cross-legged on Evans’s neck, helping him cultivate through travel, too, as they neared the place he had been itching to reach for barely more than a decade. He still couldn’t forget the sight of that comet become a simple piece of nothing that caused billions of deaths in the first hours of assessing its damages. And this was an Upper Kingdom. One could imagine if it was anything below that…

“Evans, go away for now. Leave me here,” Heian Ciemnosc opened his darkest eyes and smoothly stood up. He looked at the distance before him. Nothing was worth noticing. It seemed that, when that thing fell, many groups of cultivators traveled here and looked for any possible treasure. The jungle, prairie, and even the growing woods surrounding a 500 km area were all searched, leaving a mess behind.

Criii~! Evans looked at Heian Ciemnosc from the back of his eyes. Heian Ciemnosc patted his feathers and soothed the bird-brained child. “I’ll be fine. Besides, can you do anything to help me when I’m much stronger than you, now?”

Evans rolled his eyes a little and immediately descended when he was just 200 km from the 500 km empty area in the middle. Heian Ciemnosc was surprised about Evans’s cautiousness, but he didn’t find it weird. After all, this center was 500 km in diameter with nothing, not even a trace of life in it.

“Go, just don’t put more babies in this world. You still have wives to take care of, and I won’t give you any more money- ah ah! That’s what we agreed on. No bullshit, birdass.” Heian Ciemnosc lightly petted Evans’s face, who attempted to bargain but failed to make Heian Ciemnosc, the Cruel, feel any pity for his circumstances.

Cri! Evans let out a pouty cry and flew into the air. They had spotted a family of drakes flying through the air. They were more powerful than Evans, but not Heian Ciemnosc. Thus, Heian Ciemnosc knew the boy would snake his hips through the females in that family, even teaching them how to conquer females better since he couldn’t wife them and take them away.

Step, crugh, step, step, step, step, step… Heian Ciemnosc ignored the dot in the distance and walked towards the 500 km space. He felt every step more natural and distinctive than the last, as if he was now one with nature, even if he closed his Spirit Sense. In fact, it gave Heian Ciemnosc the sensation that he could see everything around him without nature reading or Spirit Sense if he were to turn the latter off.

When Heian Ciemnosc tried it while traveling here, he became flabbergasted. However, he noticed he was more sensible and decided to further test it when he cultivated and meditated before passing on to this state when Craftsmaking. Who knows, he might get to achieve things he couldn’t before, and create Arts, or higher, that belonged only to him.

After a few minutes of enjoying the jungle, as Evans descended on that part surrounding the 500 km space, Heian Ciemnosc took to the skies with a flap of his 1 meter dark tail. Plah- WHOOOOSH~!

Heian Ciemnosc arrived at the center of this 500 km space in under 3 minutes. When he arrived, he finally felt a distinguished sensation course through his body. According to general knowledge, the feeling in his chest was similar to an incoming heart attack. The pain in his glabella had something to do with his mental state, possibly having to do with a vital place in his brain for remembering things, such as language and others like math or cooking recipes.

But on his overly pale skin, Heian Ciemnosc felt a crawling he never had before. He knew his body looked like a cat, whose fur stood on its end from the nose to the tip of their tail. However, it all calmed down within an instant, just as soon as it appeared.

Step, step, step.

Heian Ciemnosc walked forward. This place’s center was pretty tranquil, and beautiful. Heian Ciemnosc felt the emptiness of everything, the lack of nothing. He drew a breath into his body before letting it out comfortably, feeling as if he could relax for an eternity here.

Crossing his feet, he dropped to the ground and slightly kicked in the air to stretch his legs. Heian Ciemnosc sat on his left with his left leg fully extended, and his right knee folded with its feet behind his left knee. He slowly closed his eyes to reminisce on the tranquility that the world was actually achieving, such peace, such neutrality… such nothing.

… Hours passed. What was once the bright morning became the last minute in the afternoon. Heian Ciemnosc felt as if he had always been waiting for this moment, but after waiting for long eternities, he didn’t mind another small break before getting to things.

His eyeballs moved, darting around nonstop while he rested, waiting for the afternoon to finish as the evening’s dark sky descended. Then, Heian Ciemnosc finally opened his darkest eyes, slowly, gradually… and they were decisive.

Pfup! Heian Ciemnosc took a child’s story book from his Covert Space bags, one that has been following him since the Sinvonnia Kingdom. He opened it and passed pages until he arrived at a small section where a bedtime story was written. He had checked throughout the world as he traveled it, and it was always the same story. Its purpose was also always the exact same, to teach the children in hopes that they’ll understand something; to be better.

This small story was a legend that, once upon a time, many thought to be the secrets to everything. But, like with time, which was gone even before the Lords existed, became an alien concept only used to name the world’s atrocities. Not the world itself, but its people, its inhabitants. Everything that makes it the world it is. Her. Nature. Mother Nature.

Heian Ciemnosc read through the lines, it always had the same starting point and words…

[The World Tree and the Shadow]

Also known as World Tree and its Shadow, or World Tree and its Protector.

"There is this type of little bedtime story circulating around the entirety of all existence; one of beauty and complete magnificence. The stories vary, but every single one of them is true, as they are merely different point of views. Some talk about how a shadow was the foundation and starting point that gave life to everything that exists and there is! Other talk about how a seed became what is now known, or was known, as the World Tree! Both have unthinkable origins. Both are the ultimate type of known legends across all life existing and even death-forming! But one thing is clear in all those stories, all of them talk of only what they were known as. The story that the mindless, instinctive Shadow and the eternally cold, unresponsive, merciless World Tree had, is one that existences can not erase, no matter how many of them have turned to dust at one time or another.”

“It was utterly piteous… when both of them were separated."

As the world crumbled, laws faltered and reality was shaken... So was their closeness, but not their connection! They've been living as one for who knows how many existences! And the every moment they shared was but one sole warmth, devoutness, and infatuation that are ever so short for us, puny mortal beings, to understand!"

"At the beginning, there was the Shadow. Later on, a seed was nurtured until it grew and grew! Becoming the majestic, omnipresent World Tree! With utmost care, the Shadow let it grow beneath it, slowly becoming bigger, taller, and surpassing the Shadow’s magnificence compared to the endless darkness.”

“And with sincere gratefulness, the World Tree decided to thank the Shadow for its selflessness and unasked for philanthropy. But, when it realized that 'its' Shadow was but a mindless, non-sentient being, its thoughts drastically altered. The World Tree could've already taken the Shadow's existence for its own future nutrition and be done with it! That was The World Tree’s plan!”

“Since it had neither a consciousness nor intelligence, the Shadow never hesitated twice to massacre entire races and civilizations that would come with the intentions of taking the World Tree and its treasures for themselves. Like this, it would crown itself as the overlord of countless worlds!"

"But after the World Tree was constantly saved, even when it attacked the Shadow, and the Shadow was busied with eating the whole world, leaving the World Tree alone to fend off against the ignorance of the world. The World Tree's only thoughts and desires were... to give what the Shadow had given 'it' back. World Tree had already decided to allow Shadow to take half of its consciousness. That way it'd have intelligence that'd let the two of them, omnipotent beings beyond the scope of even those at the apex, be 'together'."

"But the Shadow was not capable. It had no Master, and it had no emotion, let alone thoughts. Its only nature was that of nothing being formed into... nothing. For the Shadow, as invincible and immortal as it was. It wasn’t a living being. Deep in sorrow, World Tree became utterly hopeless, and its entire body became withered. As many experts at the apex of knowledge learned about this, they all hurried towards it with the purpose of killing it and the Shadow, so they could grow omnipotent themselves!"

"It was a pity that they didn't know that, even if they, for some absurd reason, managed to take the two existence's down, that was not the way to grow after reaching the apex. But the Shadow and World Tree didn’t care! When they arrived, as the World Tree was becoming lifeless, Shadow made its move!"

"It first lunged at the cultivators. Touching even less of an iota of the Shadow would make their bodies become its ‘hair’ or shapeless limbs’ nutrition, immediately gobbling all of those 'experts' down to a complete nonexistence! Then, with the entire world as its enemy, Shadow went through all planes, all worlds, and all realities— to take down all life and create instead a wholly empty... everything… into 'nothing'."

"When World Tree woke up from its slumber after almost sending itself down to the unthinkable death, it became sorrowfully aware of Shadow's doings, as well as the reason behind it. World Tree was not scared, or alerted by Shadow. Instead, World Tree... became the Shadow's very own little obedient tree, its shadow."

"For who knows how long, Shadow exterminated the entire existence of everything! Over and over, and over, and over again! Nothing was ever left, nothing was the only result from Shadow's doing! Every time, all races would have grown greedy, lustful and pathetic! Every time, Shadow would strike! World Tree, as the only living form going through this endless eradication of the world, from a cycle of life to endless darkness, had Shadow become its very own shadow. At some point, there was no longer a mention or memory of Shadow existing, and the stories between became instead of the World Tree and its Shadow, always present as the World Tree existed. Even though it was in the middle of nowhere, in the world, there was a shadow underneath the World Tree. Even if everything around them was completely devoid of light except for the World Tree's own magnificence. The Shadow would prevail, always taking care of its own little tree which was, in fact, its own shadow."

"But… Are eternal cycles what the World Tree desired? The World Tree didn’t want to see Shadow slowly dying over time as it was consumed by it. But what could the World Tree do? Shadow was consumed as it consumed, recuperated, and continued being consumed by the World Tree. World Tree was growing more and more powerful, and the Shadow was disappearing more quickly.”

“Shadow wasn’t a living being in the end… it could not desire… But whenever World Tree was scared, endangered, or insulted by the unwelcomed guests, Shadow would always exterminate and devour everything empty…”

“World Tree could only attempt… something that isn’t real, existent… or natural!”

“World Tree's plans finally gave success. And both of them, separated by the life the World tree created, coexisted. But at the same time, they were far away from each other."

"It is rumored that only a few words could be heard when the World Tree and Shadow were, as legends have written, worshiped for the last time before their disappearance."

"Beloved one, you've waited for so long. Now I will wait until you come, I'll wait... I'll wait... Find me, my love."
