Chapter 35 — Today, The Sect Will Bleed A Bit Of Blood

Today, The Sect Will Bleed A Bit Of Blood

'Hmmm.' Ciemnosc, who had just now faked a body slam against the second Spiritual Condensation Realm 6th stage, was looking at the emptiness in front of him despite there being people in his field of vision. This was the tenth person he had defeated, which had his nice and smooth blond hair grabbed by him and threatened his neck to be pierced, which the referee of course yelled out that Ciemnosc won for the 10th time.

Right now, the referee had already become a bit more excited as well, he might not have been almost an hour ago, but one could tell that thanks to Ciemnosc, he’d have a nice pay and possibly a raise for that matter. As for the crowd around Ciemnosc, there seemed to be a little over 1,000 now, which made his 10th opponent arrive a bit earlier than the ones before.

While the clamoring people around him ‘deafened’ the soul out of him, he looked ahead and appeared pensive. The young woman whose seat was avoided almost like a plague was looking at him as he had his back turned towards her. Just as she was thinking about why he wasn’t looking for her anymore to proceed with either another battle or raise the limit once more, she realized of ‘something’.

It wasn’t just the ‘bet’ that they made why this little boy was down there anymore. Right now, he himself was there to also see for himself how damn far he can go. It went from a bet to…seeing what he can do, and he was naturally having the fun of it.

Only; his defeated opponents left a bad taste in his mouth.

Whenever Ciemnosc defeated one with the sword, it had bad taste; because of using a sword instead of his tiny ‘claws’, bad taste; and also, not going full out, bad taste!

As such, just when the entire people in the seats around his arena were starting to get impatient from his all of a sudden inactivity, Ciemnosc wielded his right sword which was new since the battle against the previous weirdo, and went up to the referee. Seeing this, so many were already leaving the arena, others planning to - but it was then that the referee’s shocked cry reached them.

“A-are you sure you want to turn your arena into a killing zone, kid?!” Ciemnosc offered no explanation and nodded his head. And with his left hand, he took out 100 Inferior Powerful Stones, and passed them over to the referee before silently turning around and going back to the center of the arena to wait.

These 100 Inferior Powerful Stones weren’t a kind of fee that one needed to pay to allow the arena to turn into a killing zone. Nope, it was the bet that Ciemnosc was already putting on display to attract potential targets who will be up to the task. Even after his battle prowess is getting finally known, and by all, this fast.

‘Ciemnosc…’ But on the other hand, the young woman’s eyebrows sank a little. Her purely black eyes showed worry when she was faced with this change, not at all being a nanny to him but…those were 3 stages he was jumping, while not even her not anyone she knew of could do such a thing, and with clear Art and weapon grade differing from her opponent then.

But he was using normal weapons, ordinary ones! Even if they were top notch, whenever a battle occurred where someone beat someone from a higher stage, it was always with a clear difference in one’s method, techniques, or equipment but also with the element of surprise. Most assassinations could occur like this, but it wasn’t that ‘dry’, as even arrays and poison would be used, yet, this kid…used just a sword…how great of a swordsman he could be?!

“Wooooooooohooaaa!!” - “This kid’s dying today!” - “Ah! Another talent down the waste, hahaha!” - “Look at him. Does he really think he is going to last any more than 3 battles now?” - “Maybe he forgot that though defeating might be harder than killing someone, that only matters when both forces are similar to each other in strength. The moment someone with a strong technique appears…”

“...” - “Aah!...” Just as many more of these comments were sounding within the crowd and around Ciemnosc’s arena, lots of said people commenting in such a way about him felt a stare. But before there could be a brawl or a quarrel at the very least in the arena, they saw the owner of such a stare and almost shat through their pee pees straight up.

“Go, kid!” - “Go die for us, hahaha!” - “Come on, is nobody going to beat that kid, to death?! He is insulting higher cultivation base fellow disciples, put him doooown~!” But those were just those, and the whole crowd around Ciemnosc were others; she could not stop the several cries and ‘hopes’ of his death …only he could. Only he can shut them all up.

“I’ll take that money,” the shouts from several ‘clever’ ones within the crowd seemed to have worked. A rival to the seemingly undefeated and brand new stupid little genius finally came up to the arena. A youngish man of about 23 years old with short hair and currently sweaty began walking from one of the seats towards the arena’s entrance.

“He is Tano! He was fighting in the arena below just now!” - “Saw him coming up here to see what the crowd was cheering so much and loudly for, he saw the fight against the little kid’s previous opponent!” - “Haha, that’s how it goes~. Now that he had seen what the kid can do, the kid is in trouble…trouble of keeping his little life! Hahaha!”

“And his pathetic, little life!” The one called ‘Tano’, added to his previous words as he took out 100 Inferior grade Powerful Stones, a bit of pain showing in his eyes as he did, but he then remembered that 100 would turn into 200 and he could go and see if he could buy a nice pair of items for himself with the rest of his money. It was a great chance to take them away from this kid.

“...” Meanwhile, Ciemnosc. Who was looking at the brand new opponent with care totally lacking from his eyes. He was once more spinning his sword with his right palm only and the tip of its blade on the floor, looking at ‘Tano’, who seemed to have a hatred for him. ‘Was having so few people cheering in my arena this hurtful for him?’

He couldn’t get it. Why do people- no, why are there always people who are like this and decide things based on these things? Which is even worse. The referee at this moment confirmed the bets, 100 from each, 200 in total, and the winner takes it all. As for what the arena will get, the stadium would get the dead opponent’s belongings that weren’t stated specifically to be given to someone else - that simple.

“Ready? Both of you, until the other one dies, fight!” The referee, still a bit excited, had now become a bit afraid for Ciemnosc’s dear little life as he thought of his promotion slipping away the moment Ciemnosc died. Even if he won this one, if the little boy continued, for how long would it be before he tired himself to death; literally?

Step, step, step, step, step.

Tano walked up to Ciemnosc, very leisurely, as if he had decided this victory was already his. Meaning, Ciemnosc’s life was in his pocket. With those lazy steps, while he was still far away from Ciemnosc, he heard the crowd cheer for him, not Ciemnosc anymore. The arena was a bit larger than 50 square meters, no more, and he took about 20 whole seconds to move a total of 20 meters to meet Ciemnosc face to face.

“Let’s go, punch that kid’s face inwards!” - “Blow his fucking brains!” - “Explode him, explode hiim~!!”

“See that? They want me all to kill you,” Tano had a growing cheeky smile on his lips while his hands were lightly stretched outwards at his waist level. Ciemnosc tilted his body to look behind Tano, his ears seemingly searching for some of the crowd’s shouts, before going back to facing Tano and flatly saying, “Some of them also want me to kill you.”

“...” With just that little bit of Ciemnosc’s innocent comment, Tano had right away gained even more hate in his eyes towards the little boy; Ciemnosc. Tano drew his right foot back and let his left foot remain on the spot, the outline of his figure shortening as he very slowly brought his fists up to his face, “I don’t care how much you want to take the girl, but like this, I-”

“I’m not doing this for a girl. I’m doing this to impress the girl.” Ciemnosc interrupted him without even trying to, his right palm still idling with spinning his sword. Meanwhile, Tano shook his head as if he was throwing cold water at his face. It became like that of a ferocious, growling beast as he spoke louder. “I don’t care whichever reason you’re here to fight, kid. I can give you a chance. If you drop your swords, all of them. And then pay me 1,000 Inferior Powerful Stones, and I will let this fight become an ordinary one, the-”

“Oh sure, do you by any chance want me to bandage my eyes and cut my feet off?” Ciemnosc accidentally interrupted Tano once more, but he couldn’t help it, his words were just too inexperienced, right?? He even added right away, with a roll of his eyes and with his right hand now really wielding his sword. “If I was originally fighting with my fists up to this point instead of being a sword boy, would you be asking me to cut my fists off before the fight then?”

“Oooooh, the kid got balls!” - “Yeah, even when he is about to just die!!” - “Fuck him up, Tano! He now really wants to die!”

Tano tried seeing through this kid. He was calmly deciding which way to put Ciemnosc in shambles, and humiliation and then take a long time before killing the boy after breaking all his limbs and crotch. But the more and more the crowd shouted, cried, and ordered him to kill the boy right away, the less he was able to stop himself from doing just that!

Fwhoo~... Cr- stomp~! Whoooosh!

Tano retracted his right arm, though it was done at a most quickly possible speed that most in the crowd could still see but blurrily, even for those in the Link Consolidation Realm, who directly jumped their eyebrows and looked at Tano’s figure who was about to send that kid’s head flying - or what was left from it exploding; bits and chunks of blood and brain matter.

The right foot of Tano created a very thin but obvious mark on the floor, a crack of about 20 cm in radius with the center being that of his soles appearing around it. While a sudden burst of transparent yellow ‘air’ suddenly appeared from the lower shin of his right foot towards his right knee. And when it reached his thighs, it moved on to the next thigh before both joined each other and went upwards.

“...” Tano was watching as Ciemnosc stupidly let his enemy do as he wanted. He could already feel those 100 extra Powerful Stones in his right hand, which was now turned into a fist and slowly clenching harder while that transparent yellow ‘air’ moved up his body to his abdomen, solar plexus, and collarbone, surrounding his whole body in it and giving him a powerful advantage.

Speed!

The moment Tano felt he had charged up enough of ‘that’, he directly let his right foot decide just how much power he would be used to brutally murder a kid, which was no different from an ordinary person in his eyes. His right foot exploded with all of his strength as he threw his body forward, his chest going from facing mostly to his right to facing his left, and with his right fist having already dragged his whole body in the same stance for over 4 meters.

His knuckles were just short of a meter away from Ciemnosc, but that did not matter. Even if it was short by 4 meters, with the starting speed and initial dash, even if it was 10 meters, Tano would kill whatever it was that remained in his path!

Yet…

…swish- step- swish…PHHSHK~~~~! Futomp!

Ciemnosc picked up his feet. They were like a pair of dancing disks just sliding through the arena’s floor without the sight of Tano being anywhere in sight and without anxiousness nor restlessness. The sword was picked up. It barely gave a tiny bit of a glint by the lights of the arena when it disappeared from most people’s eyes - except others, like that young woman.

The next moment, Ciemnosc stepped towards Tano with his sword raised in both hands, its tip aimed at none other but Tano’s Dantian region on his lower abdomen. A simple move, that a simple other move which consisted in gaining a weird advantage…couldn’t deal with.

Tano was directly impaled on his own charge, his lower abdomen getting pierced by the ordinary sword like it was made of magnet and he was all metal but that was not all; at all. The blade was still and immobile, while Tano wasn’t. His body crouched down instinctively the moment he felt already more than half the blade entering his lower abdomen, and so was his torso given a very wide gnash that went from the center of his Dantian region all the way up his right breast.

The moment that more than half the blade went through him, he finally seemed to have found an unknown, actually unstoppable, and mighty force that stopped his fully charging out body from moving forward any further.

Ciemnosc didn’t even need to use his physical raw strength to stop him, which he could’ve done easily by just using his 5 fingers against his charging body. The whole strength behind the sword was enough to stop this self-impaling young man, Tano, whose skin wasn’t even touched by the handle of the sword and there were in fact a few inches remaining in-between of such.

To those who were facing Tano’s front, they could see a large gnash ‘breathing’ in and out slightly, ever so slightly, as Tano remained with his legs quite a bit opened and from his waist to his head completely stiff with half his whole body becoming paralyzed on the spot. His mouth was even a bit opened in an ugly ‘O’ that was so crooked he almost looked like a dead fish.

The wide, long gnash revealed a bunch of rosy flesh that, for some reason, was not exploding with blood flying about everywhere like there was something missing, something lacking…something wrong.

But to those that were behind, they could only see what was wrong and weren’t able to see Tano’s spectacular performance with his entire body going stiff, then paling little by little. Instead, those who had Tano’s back face them, like the young woman with creamy bronze skin, warm brown hair, and now with shining eyes - they could see, first, a long trail of blood come out from Tano’s back for over 17 meters with it barely thinning out.

Squish! Splaaatteeeeer~~~!

Following that, Tano’s vertebra column fell off little by little, piece by piece onto the ground right after the blood fully fell flat down against the arena’s floor. Following just 2 seconds afterwards, and with his blood on the floor quickly drying up, Tano’s organs began to fall off one after another like a car that had gone through many drops of rain going through a process in which a lot of its ‘stored’ water would slowly and then quickly come out from a tube.

Cla- ka- cla cla ka… Bugsh… Bugsh, bugsh, bugsh, bugsh bugsh bugsh…

And right at the ‘end’, where Tano’s life couldn’t be seen anymore from his back, pieces of a mix of mangled flesh, already ‘sickly’ blood and possibly some shit - began coming out as well and falling on the arena floor one after the other. Leaving no place for one’s imagination, almost everyone here that hadn’t experienced any death nor war couldn’t endure it - while the young woman merely raised her left eyebrow all high up; almost.

Bugsh! Bugsh! Bugsh! Bugsh! Bugsh! Bugsh! Bugsh! Bugsh!...

Sssshhglaaagghhh~!

Ciemnosc finally let go of the young man’s body taking out his sword from his chest, his low stance proving to be so deathly, it made him really glad he somehow managed to get those stances figured out back then. But before Ciemnosc could get his blade out, he came close to Tano’s right side of his face and whispered softly into his pale right ear.

“You saw me battle once and understood my strength, but I battled others like you twice and I understood ‘yours’ as well as mine too.” Ciemnosc then continued taking his sword out, its steel sliding out more and more, and just before it came out, he finished his words and prepared for the dying Tano to go to the underworld. “It feels…you have no idea…how good it feels to kill at last.”

Splash!... THUD.

Ciemnosc’s sword was drawn all the way out of Tano’s chest. His body then flew forwards a few feet before meeting the floor of the arena at last, his stiff body not even moving once even after slamming against the ground like he had gone through some serious and nice work of taxidermy.

It was just that; those who were facing Tano’s front body suddenly saw his eyes extremely bloody rolling about nonstop until its veins began popping out one after another, however, those veins looked sickly and without any content in them. And at some point, the rolling stopped, as well did the eyes seem to have become stuck yet also…dead.

“C-C- gulp… Ciemnosc WINS!” The referee, after jumping a bit and gulping, couldn’t help but heroically declare Ciemnosc at the last word of his declaration. And while it wasn’t instantaneous in the slightest, the crowd’s response to it came just a few seconds later after their shock subsided just a bit, as they could still feel their legs and shoulders having gone all numb.

“... ... ...WUUUUUUUUUUUHHH!!” - “RAAAAAHHHRR~!!” - “Kill more, kid, kill mooore~!”

Ciemnosc said nothing. He turned his body around and walked to a side where the arena was clean from all the shit he made, specifically so for right behind Tano’s body where a trail of such made a bit of a mess. But that was the servants’ job. He didn’t have to clean up a murder scene or anything…more importantly:

‘It felt, so, good!!’ Ciemnosc was ecstatic as he saw with his bum all down, his back a bit curved up, and his left, blood-stained— only —sword’s blade with its handle against his left knee as he raised them and folded both legs, looking up at the lighting up sky that was becoming a tiny bit of a lighter blue at least.

‘Just…just 9 more, and then I can…raise up once more, hehe.’
