Chapter 549 — Fall Of The House And Nation

Chapter 549 — Fall Of The House And Nation

Fall Of The House And Nation

The Region was moved once again, and the vassal organizations who couldn't fight anymore in the battles of Second Step cultivators, which the top 5 organizations were having trouble keeping up with the Blauw Empire. Both sides' casualties were enormous, especially considering most of the top 5 organizations' soldier units were middle-aged or in their elderly stages. Meanwhile, the Empire kept pulling the younger generation like they were as abundant as cockroaches.

The first day after the war resumed finished with the Blauw Empire coursing through 25% of the Sand Emirate Grotto’s territory, retaking what belonged to the Green Emirate Grotto’s territory and adding it to the Blauw Empire’s cart. There wasn’t much to say, only that the enemy’s defenses were brought down faster than ever thought possible, and their numbers dwindled once again. When the first day’s night came, the enemy side’s leaders reunited to debate, finding it impossible to face the Empire face to face when fighting more than 1 front against them.

Thus, by the beginning of the second day, the top 5 organizations decided to focus on the naval battles while prioritizing defensive positions only inland. Their numbers were many more than the Empire, and they could form up an army of capable Broken Crystallization realm and Neutrality realm cultivators, but they couldn’t keep fighting all-out everywhere. They were still disadvantaged regarding weaponry and discipline within the army.

It wasn’t that their army was mediocre, but compared to the Blauw Empire, it was worlds apart. On the other hand, the top 5 organizations were starting to learn from the Blauw Empire and started ‘forming’ their own strategies, at least in naval battles. They had created their barrier for facing large amounts of firepower, and their still inferior Fighter formations began gaining a threatening presence in every new conflict.

After copying the Empire, the top 5 organization’s battling capabilities improved, but in the end, it was just that, replicating them. The Blauw Empire would know its weaknesses the most, so they were quick and flexible to respond, hitting the top 5 organizations a little in every conflict. Because the naval battles had become the usual news from the Far East Region, both by its inhabitants and the neighboring Regions, to know the possible outcome of the war.

The naval battles had less and less destruction of warships. Not only because the top 5 organizations were upping the game but because both sides weren’t attempting to go all-out every day. Doing so, thoroughly finishing their side of the war, was just… plain stupid. Besides, if any of the parties made that move and both lost too many numbers. What would they do? Strike a truce and wait a hundred years to go at it again?

One of the 2 sides wasn’t willing to wait, and the other was far too experienced to let something so stupid happen in a war that he orchestrated himself. None of the 2 leading hands moving the strings behind their side would suddenly choose to find a date and place to let millions and millions of their people die for nothing in a sea. They wouldn’t be able to achieve this much up to here if they allowed that to happen.

On the other hand, the top 5 organizations showed their unpreparedness to face an inland invasion. On the second day, the flames of war sparked again. This time, the top 5 organizations no longer mobilized their troops to attack and pincer attack the Empire’s ground forces. Instead, they held defensive positions in the Blue Emirate Grotto’s territory and the little terrain they took from the Green Emirate Grotto.

The funny thing was, after the Empire beat the enemy again, they didn’t advance or harass them. Staying in a wide-spread line formation across the entire northern border with the enemy, the Blauw Empire’s armored vehicles and cultivators sank in the snow as they protected their new lands with patience and the hopes of the enemy giving them something to distract themselves again. Unfortunately, that would be far from the time being.

The Blauw Empire had just begun, and as the second day went on, their soldier units showed the truthfully impressive discipline and training they had gone through. As they ignored the enemy’s main defensive base after discerning the enemy’s approach to their previous brutal defeat, the Imperial Guards rapidly traveled between settlements and shortly ‘turned’ them into the Empire’s possession. Afterwards, without saying much, other than a notice and a ‘see you later, explanation then’ attitude, the Imperial Guards would move towards other settlements.

Not only were the Races reported of their situation, but even the Fauna, in small groups, within the forests and bodies of water in these territories were notified. It was different for both and more complicated for the former. The Races that sent their children, siblings, or younger generation in general to a vassal organization or entered a top organization successfully wept, wailed, and cursed. However, they couldn’t do much more. As for the Imperial Guards on the scene, they were well-trained, but even they could feel their pain, especially with the teachings about nature and Soul they all went through.

However, they didn’t act unnecessarily, other than when someone jumped at them and made things difficult without being hostile, they had to compromise. But if anyone was belligerent and was a threat to any of the settlement’s community… they were put down immediately, no second chances. Not even if the respective offender were just raging because their dear ones fell without knowing a thing. That was when the Blauw Empire’s soldier units began to accept a brutal truth. How many organizations care to give their deaths to their families before a grand event ends?

It was common knowledge how miserable and sensitive civilians could be, so their wars only brought pain, one way or another. Enmasse, or individually, to those who participated in it, either battling, planning, or treating. On the other hand, cultivators were too many, even if a % less than half of the population in the world. They were still quintillions in some Supreme Kingdoms and even many times that number in a Divine Kingdom, no matter how bizarre it seemed.

Thus, their need to appease their people was enormous, but it was different between them and cultivators. Civilians were just their blood and flesh, while the cultivators were like the breadwinners, only that their casualty rate was too immense and their lifespan too long. It was almost like a basic-level Race from the Myriad Races, like the Humans, set in a movie with a ‘new’ race discovered whose lifespan is exceptionally long but whose fertility rate is immeasurably low.

However, the tragedy of being a cultivator meant death was over one’s shoulders, and it was welcoming, but only at a good time, and was too much for the civilians to comprehend. Cultivators could live forever, never get bored, and their fertility rate was never too low. But they longed for a worthy death as the end of their ‘great’ path, weren’t focused on family matters much, and wedged too many wars that affected too many lives.

Yet, they were those who cared the less about life. Either destroying mother nature’s gifts in the Kingdoms, plucking too many leaves from a herb just to ‘not’ waste it and leave its roots to generate more flora, and recruiting more one-of-a-kind talented individuals who could cultivate, only to leave them in despair and the early coming of death… The civilians couldn’t understand them, no matter how hard they tried.

Because of this, some hidden seed of confusion and disdain existed from them towards the citizens, who were to fight alongside, even if just operating a spaceship or in a fortress. However… the Blauw Empire showered the civilians with a new light. Nonetheless, the rest of the Region’s civilians were still in the same pool, and they could only wail and tear up knowing their beloved one or ones might never return in the rest of their short, long lives.

It was different for the Fauna, however. Even if they couldn’t speak and might only communicate if they wanted to via Soul or convey their emotions via Spirit Sense, they still knew about the Azure Dragon’s descendants. This time, the Imperial Guards’ job wasn’t to recruit or brainwash these people. They were to simply notify these ignorant fellows that it was no longer the self-acclaimed descendants of the ruler of all Fauna and the Beast Race but that the new Blauw Empire held the Azure Dragon’s Bloodline!

With those intentions, although the Azure Dragon’s Bloodline that went on those little missions to conquer the settlements as peacefully as possible and alert the Region’s inhabitants in the territory about the change of belts were regarded highly. Instead of only making things easier to at least form the foundation for a future growing relationship, the Azure Dragon’s Bloodline was challenged by some of the Fauna.

Although some resulted vastly injured, the overall goal of this mission was accomplished, and every living being in the Sand Emirate Grotto’s territory started to know who their new ruler was. A genuine, ruling organization: the Blauw Empire!

And thus, the war continued. Over the following days, the Empire didn’t directly attack the Grotto’s last stronghold in their territory or what was left of it. They weren’t receiving any reinforcements and knew it. But the problem came when the 4th Fighter was instantly destroyed by the Empire’s mobile fortresses and some tanks surrounding their stronghold. It went on for days, but when the 4th Fighter was obliterated, the top 5 organizations made it simple for them, saying: “We cannot help you anymore. Defend yourselves and cause as much pain to our enemy as possible!”

Contrary to the wish of many officials in the Blauw Empire, after waiting for 2 weeks, they didn’t break and surrender. Thus, the siege started. Hundreds of tanks bombarded the shit out of the stronghold, artillery flew in the sky like it was the only material existent in the sky, and fell on the enemy’s walls and enhanced protective barriers for hours before falling at midnight. But the tanks continued to bombard the enemy, and they had no qualms about wasting half the army’s storage worth of ammunition for their artillery guns, for that matter.

The next morning from that day, the heads of the Sand Emirate Grotto’s most Grotto Instructors and all Grotto Teachers were posted in one of the ‘rogue’ army groups from the Blackotia Kingdom. It was an incredible revelation. This meant the high-esteemed, remaining Warlord organization had gotten fiercer! They started warring on the enemy’s territory, not just defending or conquering the seas with their notorious advantages, but directly bashing the enemy into the ground, burying them deeply!

Unfortunately, the top organizations also saw this, as did anyone in the Blackotia Kingdom who was more than prepared, having watchers focused on every known Universal Conveyance group or feature from the Far East Region. It wasn’t surprising. First was the Wrath Nihility Academy breaking its always-peaceful relations, and now it was the long-forgotten Warlord organization. What was this Change?! Why had this never happened, but now it did?! It was unthinkable!

The top 5 organizations’ reaction when they discovered this was to pale in fright, knowing the Empire had finally attacked just the day before but had already killed the last upper echelons of the Sand Emirate Grotto in less than a day. They still had their navy and ground forces in the Blue Emirate Grotto’s territories, but their power structure was gone now. The world wasn’t forgiving, and this obviously meant it would be eaten away after the war was won… if they triumphed.

Naturally, this rapidly ate the Sand Emirate Grotto’s Grotto Master’s brain, and he went into temporary seclusion while leaving what remained of his Grotto Instructors to handle the war affairs. Meanwhile, the top 5 organizations responded. They couldn’t let the Blauw Empire do as they pleased. Even if they mobilized their troops at full strength and on great strategies, the Empire would just swarm the shores with Second Step cultivators again, as they had already seen twice.

Thus, the top 5 organizations would best the Empire in the sea! No matter what! Even if they lost most inland territory, they had to expel the Blauw Empire from their last sea bastion. The sea was the Blauw Empire’s greatest forte, and the top 5 organizations knew they couldn’t let them take that back. If they controlled all the sea in the Far East Region, their lives would be over, and their dumb skirmishes with the top 2 mightiest organizations were just the cream at the top.

Blue Emirate Grotto prepared but basically left the Wyrm Lord Nation and the True Dragon House’s remaining forces in their territory alone and without hope. The House’s Head, Blauw Monstorm, steeled his heart and let his people still at their ‘home’ know they were alone. They would prove better than the Sand Emirate Grotto, as the True Dragon House wasn’t just harboring a bloody feud after being the first attacked by the Blauw Empire. The history between them was vicious, too.

It was a hefty day, whose events and decisions, on both sides, happened quickly. The top 5 organizations started moving their numbers into the sea while forming multiple defensive positions. Line after line, it was like the Blue Emirate Grotto, the last territory had divided its territory into several sections, separated by only a protective barrier that spanned over a smaller and smaller area as it came closer to the Blue Emirate Grotto’s individual territory.

Then, as days passed, the Wyrm Lord Nation could only go to seclusion like the Sand Emirate Grotto’s Grotto Master and left the remaining Senators handling the affairs from their side of the navy. Their ground force was basically negligible since they were mostly First Step cultivators. Time continued to pass, and without knowing the Blauw Empire’s doings to the settlements and the Fauna in their old territories, the top 5 organizations finalized preparing their navy and plans to strike the Blauw Empire back!

They managed to sink one of their Battleships on that fateful day, causing harm to the rest and annihilating many Frigates before the Empire’s First fleet arrived to save the day, even blocking their other Fleets before having to retreat into the Blue Emirate Grotto. That was before finding better methods, which they believed to be original and better, to combat the Empire’s sudden rise in strength and guts.

Surely, even if they were still suffering heavy losses like never before, even after the Empire was now beating the crap out of them time and again, their top 5 organizations would be able to defend such a small place. For sure…

… When it was the 9th month’s beginning of the 2nd week, the entire southern Far East Region territory had become part of the Blauw Empire’s rulership. The last couple weeks were intense but calm, simulating a type of such before the storm, but both sides were already in that storm, mentally at least. Their bodies were growing tired, and the Blauw Empire had to employ another relieving of the ground forces by some of the newest blood.

Meanwhile, the operation was momentarily halted time before the order to attack the Blue Emirate Grotto came. The Imperial Guards and citizens had stayed inland for half a year, more or less. Some, like the royal princess, had left once or twice at the very least, but she only returned once all this time, standing out from the moment she returned and the army resumed taking inland territory.

Among the Empire’s ground forces, several groups took the limelight in each battle they participated in. The Empire’s ground force continued to grow a little more each month and a lot every 2 months. Now that the end of the year was coming, their numbers had increased heavily, and their tactics allowed them to keep their soldier units as alive as possible. The war seemed half over, but only the officials knew the difficulty they faced each time to plan a battle.

They could see that if it wasn’t because of what they learned, the number of casualties on their side would have been greater, to say the least. They would have lost many more resources, especially ammunition, followed by medicinal products and cultivation resources. Even though cultivators were vastly different from the civilians’ war, similarities existed. Such was nature. The logistics classes most of them rapidly grew bored of became their sighs of relief and gladness.

But what made the officials’ work a little lighter and eased their stressed selves were these highlighted groups of troops. They consisted of elites among the already elite-enough Imperial Guards and even citizens. There were several in each army, and how they were divided to conquer the enemy’s territory was by spreading those groups over a large zone. And when the battles came to the enemy’s stronghold, they were all reunited, and the planning would begin.

One of those groups was led by who else but the royal princess, Blauw Ishikyy!

When she returned to the army, she was loudly welcomed by the soldier units she remembered since others had left days before to get their well-deserved rest. The welcoming party was ‘just’ a few hundred thousand troops bringing her to a permitted banquet where they could mingle and chat her up to date. She was told how they had progressed, from the buildings and the fortresses they could rapidly assemble for the tanks. She was quickly up to date in information.

Before long, she was seen on the battlefield again but not moving towards the south. She was part of the few tanks bringing the invading enemy, taking advantage to try and pincer the Empire. The snow merged with her as the tank couldn’t be differentiated from the snow. Be it by the naked eyesight or Spirit Sense. Her Water elemental manipulation had grown while she studied in peace and relaxed, exchanging experiences with Pou.

Now that she was back at the war, she was more than ready to become the warrioress her mother couldn’t show her deceased father she became. If Blauw Ishikyy could make her mother proud of her like this, she would be more than glad to help her rule the Empire from early on. It would also prove she was worthy and good enough. Thus, when the enemy rushed towards them, Blauw Ishikyy was the one to lead her tank and her Squad to obliterate the largest amount of bodies from cultivators and Fauna alike.

Afterwards, when the Sand Emirate Grotto’s territory was being conquered and noticed its inhabitants of the changes before becoming official, Blauw Ishikyy was sent there because of her good results. That little slap on her wrist-like mission was enough to gain sufficient merit so she could be on the good side of the Generals. When she returned to the battlefield and moved around, telling the inhabitants of the Empire’s rulership over the land, she didn’t mention her status or the importance of the Empire, but her innate aura alone exalted many Fauna.

She was one of the most challenged people from the Fauna folks, receiving quite some injuries from old and juvenile Fauna. However, every time she returned from a day of flying around, she would show her bloody wounds while walking to the hospital buildings. When the battle to take down the Sand Emirate Grotto’s forces remaining in their territory came, she was one of the few who killed a Grotto Teacher and took their head off. Moreover, not only once.

Her trident was shown in one of the images posted the day after, holding 3 heads in each of its pikes, whose blood was drained and lower, empty ends sealed in ice. At those moments, no one knew that this Earth grade weapon was the royal princess’s.
