The Top 5 Organizations' New Fleets
On the other side, in the Green Emirate Grotto's sea territory, in the course to the Sand Emirate Grotto's sea territory.
"Leader! The enemy is doing something strange!" The large room filled with monitors and Spirit Sense and Soul-focused cultivators sitting around one person. He had short, black hair, brown-skinned, but not Human, a Demon. His eyebrows were regular-sized but looked too prominent with the rest of his facial features. He slightly turned around and twisted his neck to look at the informant. The latter gulped once before explaining. "Protective barriers have been created in a large area, blocking our way to the Sands' sea territory. No array formation has been spotted yet, but Water elemental particles are abundant! They also seem to suck in more particles passively, but without altering their surroundings."
“Keep as usual, but if anything changes, warn me.” The Carrier’s commander said, eliciting nods from everyone in the room. The informant nodded last, and when the leader saw this, he nodded in return before turning to face the slight traces of azure that stroked into the sky. It was obscure, so they were more obvious, but the leader wondered why the Empire attacked now. Time didn’t matter since even citizens had systems and devices that helped them see in the dark, let alone Second Step cultivators whose Spirit Sense is nothing from the small 1,000 meters maximum range in the Spirit Rebirth realm.
“... Leader! A change!” The informant received information from his medallion and immediately relayed it to the Carrier’s commander. They didn’t dare use the usual daily-life communication systems or the Universal Conveyance after their previous probes at the enemy were met not only with failure but with a tremendous 100% casualty rate instead of returning. The leader rapidly turned his head to the left as the information sweated when processing the info.
“Array formations’ inscriptions have started descending from the top, as if… written by the Water particles themselves! This is an Elemental array formation! Leader, the reports are saying this might be troublesome. Not even the True Dragon House’s Craftspeople know what the Empire is doing this time, and considering their sudden action after our supreme leaders changed plans, this must be that our information got leaked. They’re advising us to be extra careful!” The informant pleadingly shouted.
“Mn,” the Carrier’s commander gruntled a response. Then, he ordered one of the seated experts, “Establish communication to the Fleet and personal comms with the Battleships, now!”
“Yes, sir.” The expert said and rapidly did as ordered. Meanwhile, the leader faced the informant and said, giving the latter’s medallion a warm tingle that widened his eyes. This was the Carrier’s commander, directly promoting the informant… to relay his every word and order back to headquarters! The information’s ears became focused on listening to the leader’s subsequent sentences. “We’re not stopping. That barrier, break it! I want every warship to send a destructive-focused missile to the sides. Detour the barrier and hit those warships!”
“Sir, reports from the warships ahead of us have arrived. They’re the Empire’s one of 2 Fleet’s Carrier and Battleships. Forgive me for not informing you earlier. I wanted to wait until you were unoccupied to inform you, sir.” Suddenly, at the leader’s words, a female Elf with short black hair turned around and faced the Carrier’s commander, who looked at her and nodded with a frown. Then, his expression stiffened and remained somber as he looked at the Carrier and Low class Battleship symbols on the other side of their borders.
“How long until the Wyrm Lord Nation’s Fleet and the True Dragon House’s Fleets arrive?” The Carrier’s commander asked after a minute of silence. There was still a long way before their top-notch arsenal of both sides reached the maximum range for precision. The informant relayed the question to headquarters, and after a minute, he responded to the slightly patient leader. “More than 2 weeks, leader. They said the training is more rigorous than… what… we have gone through. To make up for the lack of experience, they say.”
“...” The leader didn’t become angry but frowned and looked at the ocean, lifting his face and narrowing his eyes. He then looked at the panel below again and swapped to see that every warship was ready to deploy its missiles. Then, without turning his head from it, he spoke to the informant with an order. “When everyone is at the required range, launch those missiles, make it 2 instead of just 1. Let’s try poking this nest.”
“Yes, sir!” The informant excitedly said, saluted, and got to work. The leader walked to the north extreme of the large, exotic room as the walls became windows and showed everything that didn’t just a second ago. He placed his hands behind his back before solemnly speaking, “I know we can’t be sure to fight these 3 without backup, not after what they did to our allies. But we’ll probe them now, and when the heavy babies arrive, we’ll know how to defeat them!”
“Haaah!” - “Hurrah!” - “Yessir!” The team of experts around him nodded and basically agreed to his intention. They, too, wanted to put a stop to this fear these Carriers and Battleships from the Blauw Empire have caused to the top 5 organizations. It wasn’t just that the Empire could threaten and damage them. Now, it was the top 5 organizations fearing and cowering from the Empire’s babies, not even their entire force. It was dissimilar from how the top 7 organizations looked at the Empire… and this infuriated them!
Swooooshh, swooooshh, swoooooooooosgg~!
The enemy’s Fleets continued to move towards the Sand Emirate Grotto’s sea territory if it could still be called theirs. In that same sea territory, the Blauw Empire’s First fleet’s Carrier and Battleships waited and continued waiting for the enemy to come closer. Their barrier was already over 1,000 km long and over 100 km into the sky. Inscriptions glowed from the top as it finally stopped growing while the Battleships at both sides were ready to face the incoming enemy warships.
It didn’t cover the entire width from one sea territory to another, but it was in the center, forcing anyone who wanted to enter the Sand Emirate Grotto’s sea territory to move to either extreme. The Third Admiral looked as the enemy moved ever so closer. His face was stern, and he was back at his central command’s module. Finally, he took a last glance at the complicated map below on the large table, with a digital screen with the option to project holograms, and looked at the sides before staring ahead.
“Commence,” his one word was obeyed, and the experts’ team around him conveyed it to the rest of the crew members and the Battleships on both sides. Immediately, without moving, and with the water below them still in their favor, the Carrier and Battleships started smoking through ‘small’ parts of their decks as missiles flew to an impossible speed, some larger than others and in varying directions.
Piuuuh, piuuuh, piuuuh, piuuh, piuuuh, piuuuh, piuuh, piuuh! … … … … … … piu, piu, piu, piuh!
It seemed like the enemy had the same idea, as they immediately started launching some missiles as soon as they entered their arsenal’s maximum range. The Third Admiral remained calm as he saw a couple hundred missiles move towards them, most belonging to one Fleet from the enemy’s side. His eyes narrowed when one of the experts around him started exhibiting the enemy’s moves as it happened and their Border Wall.
“Birder Wall barrier active, the incoming enemy missiles are affected! Array formation in the working! Our warships are safe for now, but we won’t hold for 3 months straight if we face 3 enemy Fleets one after the other, let alone at once. 1 month at best, sir.” The expert finished saying. The Third Admiral nodded and looked at the screen on the table again. He watched as a few hundred missiles were launched from his Carrier and a couple hundred more from the Battleships.
“Guide them below!” The Admiral ordered, and the expert teams from all 3 warships conveyed. The missiles they launched, which were just 10 seconds away from clashing against each other and wreaking disorder below at the sea, dived and dashed to the sides before positioning themselves right above the water’s surface. The enemy missiles continued going on their initial way. Now unobstructed, but the Blauw Empire’s side seemed tranquil.
“... What happened?!” On the other hand, the enemy Carrier’s expert team wasn’t as calm. One from that group asked in a high-pitched tone, but under his breath, confused as hell. The leader crossed his arms and frowned but relaxed immediately after. He took 2 steps forward and didn’t order anything, simply saying, “They are going all-out against us. We’ll continue. I don’t think a warship needs a reminder to protect itself from enemy missiles. They are more, but we are more, too!”
“...” The team of experts remained silent and continued doing their work. Meanwhile, the information was worried, feeling the insides of his chest heavy and fearing for the worst. Then, a voice came to his left ear, and he turned to face the leader, who looked at him in a neutral fashion. “Don’t fret. If this wasn’t a Carrier, the top 5 organizations wouldn’t have sent us. We’ve gotten enough time to adjust to this… new enemy. Better equipped, backed up, and with ampler knowledge. They used to rule our ancestors until they decided it was enough. Now, we will rule over a Warlord organization again! Just the same…”
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Whooooosh!! Whoooosh!! Whoooshh!! Whoooooosh!!- BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM- whiiiiiiiiiistleeee~!! BOOM BOOOM BOOM BOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOOM~!
“What’s going on?!!” The leader’s face paled a little. The missiles that were just moving to the extremes of the unknown barrier were suddenly directed to the center of the barrier. The enemy’s Fleet didn’t do anything and tried taking back control from their systems but found the barrier far too magnetic, leading the missiles directly into the middle without any other option. The enemy Carrier’s commander’s eyes nearly dropped as everyone from his side could tell how bad this was.
BOOM BOOM BOOM! The intensity of the missiles’ velocity was already known in the world to be awfully their strongest point. However, with the inertia of the force pulling them towards the center despite trying to fly to its sides, the missiles were even more scary. Unfortunately, all this was wasted on a barrier instead of a Carrier or Battleship’s shields. Suddenly, the enemy Fleets felt as if they were robbed, and after receiving confirmation, sent another round of missiles.
However, before they could see if it would have any effort, they had to first take care of the incoming missiles sent by only 3 warships. It would’ve been an easy pick if the enemy Carriers were at the front and made things easier for the rest of the Fleet, but the Carrier and Supreme Battleships were at the rear, not even in the middle. Meanwhile, the Blauw Empire’s First fleet’s Carrier and Battleships missiles weren’t targeting the Carrier, as the enemy was doing to them, but every Destroyer and Cruiser they had!
“... Let the Carrier and Battleships rush forward! The rest should drop their speed and wait for us to come to the front!” The enemy Carrier’s command shouted, directly speaking to the warships in his Fleet, but it was too late. The Empire’s missiles were already above them, flying towards the Frigates and Destroyers far from each other, but not as far as the First fleet was when they initially invaded the True Dragon House’s sea territory before destroying their home.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!! Ka- BOOOOM! Ta- rarararara- rarararara- rarararara- rarara- rararara-... … ta rarara rararara- rarara- rararara- rararara- rarararara- rarararara…!
The enemy Carrier’s commander could only watch as more than a dozen Frigates were immediately reached by a missile and turned into vivid fire still within a shield. Their shield was broken apart, and some were affected by that missile’s aftermath. But, either because it was pre-arranged or coincidence, a second missile followed the first to finish the job, destroying the Frigate in one go. And sometimes, the enemy Frigates would explode apart with the first missile, leading to a tragic sight.
The Destroyers were another matter. Destroyers resisted up to 3 shields, which amply survived the aftermath of the last but were immediately targeted by 2 rapidly following missiles that evaded anti-missile turrets and were hidden by other, bulkier missiles. One way or another, in just the first round of missiles from both sides, exchanging possible damage, the Empire’s Elemental array formation gave total advantage to them, while the top 5 organizations lost!
“Sir! We’ve confirmed that 87% of all machine guns’ bullets entering the Empire’s barrier go through and can harm their warships’ shields!” An expert shouted amidst the explosions, and the commands being cut after their side became dying screams or deathly explosion sounds. The leader slammed his fists on the panel before yelling at the top of his lungs, “New order! Send missiles, don’t stop, and fire at the enemy! All Cruisers are to rush forward, don’t slow down anymore, dammit!!”
“Aye, aye!!” The experts shouted, trembling as some of the missiles landed near them in the water, making their gigantic Carrier tumble a little. Unlike the Empire’s warship shielding, these didn’t cover some areas outside their warships’ structure, limiting and exerting more efficiency to directly protect the warships. However, this also made it easy for some of the half-destructive and half-lethal missiles to affect the speed and course of the enemy warships.
“... Admiral! The first strike is successful. The enemy is being drawn!” The Third Admiral nodded at an expert who started sweating from his forehead. Then, another expert said as she spoke rapidly before returning to coms. “Sir, we received news that the inland enemy troops are setting artillery guns at the shore. We’ve been requested permission to send some Fighters by First’s Battleship! Additionally, the Sand Emirate Grotto’s Fleets are here! With them, the enemy will face us as 3 Fleets!! Orders?”
“Yes to First’s request, permission to massacre the enemy!” Third Admiral said and finished signing a digital document with his left hand on the table before looking at the images in big frames and information in smaller frames to the side. He pondered for a second, and meanwhile, the second round of missiles was launched, and some hundreds of missiles flew from their warships towards the incoming, closer enemy Fleet.
“Prepare all warships’ LBFDs. I want all 26 rocket launchers ready to show them what owning a complete Fleet means!” The Admiral’s words were still vicious and bloodthirsty, but his soldier units in his fleet were more than welcome and music to their ears. First and Second replied immediately, followed by the thunderous roars of all 3 warships’ crew members. “Aye!” - “Heard, sir!” - “HUAAAAH!” - “HUAAAH!!” - “HUAAAAAH!!!”
“Incoming enemy fire!” An expert said after a minute, with everyone having gone silent. The Admiral looked up as a hundred flaming tongues from enemy machine guns returned the fire his side was already providing to them. His eyes hardened, but he remained calm as he looked down to look at the time limit of a few hours before the Carrier’s shield was wasted. He looked up at the sea again, barely seeing the enemy’s leading Carrier, and commanded.
“To all Fighters in my warship…” The Carrier fell silent. The coms became hushed and filled with whispers before the Admiral finished his orders. “It’s time to come out and bask in the Empire’s reflecting light from our waters! Take off!!”
HUAAAH!!!
From inside the Carrier, a hollering, rumbling echo spread everywhere. From the rest of the warship’s interiors to the outside and bounced in the water below the Carrier. The notion caused a smirk in the Admiral’s left corner of his mouth before mentally commenting, ‘Ah, it’s so good to be young. If only I had the chance to cultivate normally again. Sigh… One cannot ask for miracles, only witness them. Whether one can live through them depends on one’s past…’
Whoooooooooshh~!!
The Carrier’s interior hangar was quickly emptied out after its hatches opened, revealing enthusiastic Fighters of all kinds, mostly Bulldogs, who immediately burned their motors to streak past the barrier and into the enemy’s territory. They were picked up by the enemy radars at once, but if they cared about their lives, they wouldn’t have become a Carrier’s Fighter’s pilot or co-pilot in the first place! Their sound was like a swarm flying all at once, delusional and mindlessly to their deaths.
“... Leader! The Empire’s Carrier’s Fighters have been deployed! We have spotted all 15,000 in the air! They are coming hot, and their missiles are aiming at our Cruisers! We are losing more Destroyers-... my gods! No more Frigates! Our Fleet has no more Frigates!!” In the enemy Carrier, an expert from her group shouted in fear, trepidation, and seeking mental support. The leader wasn’t slow to walk over and put his hand on her right shoulder for a second before wording to the best of his capabilities.
“Calm down, we’re not them! We fight how we fight, and we will deal with this threat however possible!” The leader looked at his team of experts with an admonishing glance to remind them. It was understandable that Frigates suddenly became any soldier unit’s best choice after the Blauw Empire’s showcase of power, but this wasn’t unseen in the world, just in their Blackotia Kingdom, perhaps. Only peak Third Step organizations can fully equip hundreds of Frigates like the condemned Blauw Empire.
“...” The leader shook his head and took those thoughts off his head. He didn’t want to weaken the warrior inside him before his Carrier even took part in the battle. He ordered, “Plan a retreat! Let the Sands find a way to fight next. Pass the information and request their aid to safely return! Come on, people. Let’s give them a punch or two!!”
“Hurrah!” - “Yessir!” - “At your orders, leader!” His Fleet responded adequately, granting him some more confidence, which he nearly lost. The Carrier’s commander then waved his hand and ordered, “Send our Fighters out. We shall show them what kind of pilots we have.”
“At your orders, sir!” An expert shouted before initiating the command. Half a minute later, 15,000 Fighters came out of the Carrier’s interior hangars and took to the skies. Because they were faster than any other warship, unlike in the Empire’s fleets, they rapidly zoomed in the distance…
“!!!” But suddenly, a change that turned everyone from the enemy side to look like stone statues occurred, numbing their skin and opening their pores like it was nobody’s business.
… … … …RAAAAAALLLLLL- Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf! Pf- whooooooooooooshhh~~!!!
Without warning, as the Empire’s Fighters ascended into the sky but remained within 100 meters above the water’s surface to the enemy’s direct firing line, the Carrier and Low class Battleships’ decks were filled with large barrels and ammunition storage coming into the open. They immediately started working and rotated nonstop… before giving birth to thousands of rockets flying through the air.
Whiiiiistleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~~!!....
The Fighters flew in between these rockets, each one at least accompanied by 1, sharing it with another 3 or 4 Fighters, and flew in waves and different fluctuations, up and down, left and right, and in sudden nose-dives or shooting upwards. The thing was… anti-missile turrets take a while to force-detonate a rocket, while they can instantly hit one and do so with 1 hit. Only anti-projectile missiles are capable enough to destroy rockets. Thus, the Fighters flew between these smallish rockets, using them all they could to fly… past the Green Emirate Grotto’s Fleet!!
“Oh no…!” The enemy Carrier’s commander’s eyes widened as thousands of Fighters and rockets flew past his Carrier, directly towards the incoming ally Fleets…
