Intense Encounters At The Sea!
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! The Fighters flew beside the rockets, rapidly passing through thousands of kilometers while their array formations were at maximum work. But the speed and magnitude of their flying speed still made them feel heavier and tensed up. As they passed above and past some enemy warships, the leader of each thousandth Fighters' group announced, "We're passing by the enemy! Don't leave your spots and continue flying forwards! Our enemy is still unaware! Their communications will be ruined as soon as we reach their Carrier's rear! Hurry up, towards the enemy!!"
“We’re going through the beehive!!” - “We’re the- forget it.” - “Ah, right. Let’s go! I’m waiting to erase them completely!” - “Behave!!” - “Aye!” The Fighters’ piloting teams talked in the comms for a few seconds before their respective commander shut them up. They proceeded to fly through the Green Emirate Grotto’s Fleet and began seeing the sea behind the enemy Carrier. Their eyes widened, and their pupils shrank as they could already see the first lights from the sun at their right, where their Empire’s islands waited for news of victory.
Ta rarararara, rararara, rararara, rarara- pst, pew pew- pfiii- pff- clank!...
The noises the Fighters perceived as they flew among the enemy Fleet in the reverse direction of bullets flying towards them but being blocked by the rockets, and some flying right into their shields among the hundreds trying to catch them via prediction became lesser and lesser. The sound of missiles flying towards their path, exploding, and trying to detonate the rockets also diminished, but they were never successful. Only some with the machine guns with the highest sharpness and bullet speed managed to penetrate the shield, only to be blocked or reflected by their Fighter’s armor.
“We’re out!! Everyone engage in your array formations. Time to fly and give the enemy the surprise of their lives, the last one!!” The commander of each thousandth Fighters shouted to their people about the situation, and as soon as they spoke, the 15,000 fighters started shining a blue inscription energy that covered their backs and bellies. The rockets beside them suddenly shone a pristine, starred, azure glow, and they seemed to fuse with the array formations.
Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnngg~~! A sound making their ears go deaf emanated from the array formations, affecting their piloting teams, predominantly cultivators. But it didn’t harm them. As for distracting them, after the training they went, even if they were dying, they could manage to keep their concentration until the end of their journey. In a sudden blast of speed, the First fleet’s Carrier’s Fighters disappeared from the enemy Carrier’s rear and zoomed into the distance, faster and more bizarrely than before!
“... Dammit!!” The enemy Carrier’s commander cursed as he recomposed himself. Looking at the panel below, he ordered while thinking of the best solutions. “Immediately contact the Sands, warn them of the enemy attack! They must’ve felt the enemy had started sending their Fighters minutes ago. Continue charging forward. We must take down that Carrier and those Battleships with bullets if we have to!!”
“Leader! Our communications are not working! It’s… It’s as if they’ve turned to… gum! We can’t do anything! Only observe… Here! The Sands responded that their radars picked no movement in the skies! They also can’t see us anymore and were requesting further information. They said we should wait for the House and Nation to move on aggressively…” The expert aimed at his digital screen and said, bringing despair to the luxurious room.
“How can their radars pick nothing?! How can they see nothing?! Dammit! They must have done something to our… it doesn’t matter. We don’t have any means to alert our allies. Let’s just hope they’ll receive the Empire’s info when those damned Fighters come close enough.” The leader said with his hands on the panel, supporting the back that now felt too heavy, making him sense the world was turning slower by the second.
“Sir… that is not possible…” Another expert said, activating a function on his screen to extend a hologram from it. As information appeared in the air, the expert elaborated, “We received a strange report from our radars. It was as if the Fighters and rockets were… nonexistent!”
“What?!” The leader outrageously shouted. He didn’t need to process this information to know what it meant, but when he did process it… his face paled. The expert sweated nervously before changing the hologram to images, showing their radars. “Here, we could see the Fighters and rockets, but here… they became part of the sea.”
“Fuck! No!! Dammit!” The leader yelled, punching the panel with his under fists as the fighters were long gone in their radars, and their communications became thoroughly useless. Silence ensued, and even the informant had a worse presentiment from this. He looked ahead at the south, where the Carrier and Battleships’ missiles kept destroying their Destroyers next and started targeting their Cruisers to entirely destroy them afterwards. The informant looked down and sighed, separating his feet but feeling no remorse for supporting his home. “Siiiiigh.”
“... Huff…” - “Huff, huff…” - “... fuuu~.” - “Haah, anyone there?” - “Shh, concentrate… Guide them well, don’t get in the middle.” - “... After this… fly to your best capabilities. It’s them or us, and who the fuck wants to die instead of them?” - “Huff, huff…” - “Haah…” It was silent in the short yet endless trip from the Green Emirate Grotto’s sea territory after passing by the enemy Fleet’s Carrier to the Blue Emirate Grotto, where the Sand Emirate Grotto’s Fleets were barely trying to move to its borders and enter the Green Emirate Grotto’s sea territory, where the Fighters were already about to leave…
“Prepare to disengage all array formations! Keep your citizens seated, aim, and shoot at your discretion!!” The commanders of each thousandth Fighter yelled in the comms, attracting every leader in the Fighter to concentrate to their fullest. If one were to read their inner being, they would find their Souls and Spirit Sense connecting with the rockets outside via the array inscriptions their Fighters had activated!!
“!!” - “!” -”!” - “Huh!” - “Hua!” - ”Huaaa…” - “HUA!” The comms went silent after the commanders’ orders. But not long after, the Fighters started growing excited, letting out shouts and cries, feeling their blood boiling to the spectacle to witness next. If their simulation flights and practices were worth everything, then… what would ensue might be a good enough marvel to witness and die in peace.
“Now!!!” Every Fighter heard the command, and at once, their eyes widened to their fullest as their pupils and irises remained the same. However, their Fighters suddenly lost the array formations’ inscriptions, but the rockets didn’t, nor did the air surrounding them all. As the Fighters ‘stopped’ right before the enemy Fleets, their leaders barely noticed a shocking multitude of 15,000 Fighters suddenly appearing before them. The rockets, which were already many times faster than any missile, which was in itself faster than any bullet, flew quicker than before! With Water elemental particles adhered to every millimeter of their outer structure!
PEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWW~~!!!!
All rockets became enhanced at once, and their speed and attraction to the enemy were furthermore augmented by the sea around them. Only water and nature existed in their surroundings. This made it even more irresistible for the rockets to gain such insurmountable speed and potency as they crashed against the enemy warships half a blink later. The Empire’s Fighters and the Sand Emirate Grotto’s Fleet at the vanguard weren’t prepared for the sound of this event.
BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!! BOOOOM!!!- bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! bang!!! Bang!!!...
The whole world, sea and air, turned into a disruptive image as each rocket broke apart any shield under a Cruiser level, and the next immediately incinerated every material and life their explosions reached. The enemy had no time to respond when over half their vanguard Fleet was already turned into explosive reactions. However, not all rockets flew towards the enemy at once. Only slightly more than a third instantly flew towards the enemy warships. The rest was as if stopped in time while the Empire’s Fighters continued flying forward.
While a majority of the rockets were stuck in space, the Fighters only lost their previous bizarre speed that only Fourth Step Fighters and warships or spaceships can reach at their maximum potential. Thus, they simply flew forward after stopping before the enemy’s vanguard Fleet. But the Fighters weren’t hasty, and instead of wasting their missiles, they followed their training and simply flew in particular motions and directions, as another third of the rockets shot towards the remaining half of the enemy’s vanguard Fleet.
Stolen novel; please report.
BOOOOM!!!... The Empire’s Fighters didn’t stop to look, although it felt damn good to see their sworn enemy’s effort go to complete waste! They looked down at their target, the enemy Fleet in the middle. They were already responding, and the Fighters’ piloting teams could already see the enemy cultivators below start hurrying from one side to the other as machine guns and artillery started aiming up. This caused smirks all over the Empire’s First fleet’s Carrier’s Fighters.
“Down!” The commanders commanded simply, and all Fighters started going at top motors downwards in a semi-nose-dive. However, instead of aiming at the enemy warships at the front, they aimed at the rear. Half the entirety of their missiles’s first round were already aiming at the enemy Fleet’s Frigates. As for the enemy vanguard Fleet, after the second third of the rockets were no longer stuck in space… they obliterated the former. And now, as the Fighters nose-diced towards the next enemy Fleet, the remaining rockets shot towards their vanguard warships.
Ta rararararara- BOOOM!!! Ta rarararararara- rararararara- BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM~~!!!!
The Fighters adopted halo formations with their anti-missile turrets, trying their best to neutralize the enemy’s firepower as they flew forwards more and downwards, totally emptying their machine guns in the enemy warships’ shields. Their missiles already flew towards the slightly bigger fish, and the rockets hit the enemy Fleet’s vanguard, creating tall and impressive explosive waves behind the Fighters as they fearlessly flew towards the enemy rear.
Every Fighter pilot helped each other, using their smallish number of anti-missile turrets to the best of their capabilities to stop the enemy missiles, but 2 Fighters exploded every few seconds, with a few last energy attacks sent with their blood essence on the line as they flew down towards an enemy warship, or to clean the path ahead of their fellow comrades. The piloting teams watched as their machine guns worked the hardest, following enemy Frigates, Destroyers, and Cruisers with difficulty and trying to focus on one objective with other Fighters from their Halo formation.
They could see the last moments of a fellow Fighter before it was targeted by more than 2 enemy missiles and was easily blown to pieces. Only 2 out of 16 people managed to survive, and flying tools to escape the battlefield or help other survivors who lost their capability to move or couldn’t move an ounce of Neutral Energy. But those who were still operable had to continue, even if their Fighter was cut through one of its parts and gave them clear sight to the sky or sea.
When the enemy bullets targeted those shield-less Fighters without much structure to protect them, it was the scariest, but their training allowed them to continue. Despite some of their comrades in the same Fighter precisely mangled to pure flesh and bones by an enemy machine gun, they had to continue!!
When their team leader died, they were replaced! Those missiles couldn’t stop flying towards the enemy! And as the 3 rounds of missiles were used up by every Fighter, nearly no warship kept their shield intact, only some Frigates and Cruisers. But the enemy Carrier and Battleships were successfully taken down!
“... Commander, half our unit is down! We’re the worst from everyone here! Let’s get this over with and go!!” Amidst the battle, less than 500 Fighters flew in halo formations after merging and forming no gaps in their groups. One of the Fighters asked after their team leader’s position had to be replaced thrice in a row. Only 5 remained in their Bulldog Fighter, and their missiles were down. The commander’s voice sounded after 2 seconds, and as all remaining 9,000 Fighters surrounded and flew around the enemy Carrier, with 1 Battleship still fighting at the side and the other in flames and starting sinking. “Ammunition in your machine guns and artillery guns?”
“... More than 50%.” - “Same, commander.” - “It’s the same for most of us, commander.” The Bulldog Fighter responded first before the rest of the Fighters followed suit. Their Fighters continued flying in circles and aiming at the Carrier and remaining Battleship’s machine guns, as their artillery was already crippled. After a few silent breaths of time, the commander spoke again. “This is enough. We won’t take that Battleship down even if we sacrifice more than half of our numbers. Start planning a retreat with the rest.”
“Commander?” The Bulldog Fighter spoke again, this time attracting more attention to the commander’s orders and making the others notice something. The commander sighed ruefully before explaining. “I won’t let the enemy get away with a Carrier of their own! Not like this, not now that we are so close to crippling another enemy Fleet:.. I will not!!”
The commander spoke viciously. Nobody could refute this intention. The Bulldog Fighter’s team leader, who spoke first, fell silent until the commander spoke to him again. “Name’s Marshal, right? You can blame it on your parents later. After me, I name you the temporary commander of this unit. You are to bring everyone to safety and cooperate with the other commanders to do so with everyone else. This Carrier still has many Fighters trapped within, and my artillery gun still works. I was just thinking about meeting them head-on…”
“Command-” - “I need some to die with me!!” The Bulldog Fighter tried to say something, overwhelmed with the commander’s actions, but before anything could follow, the commander shouted. From the more or less 500 remaining Frigates in their unit, 200 immediately moved with him, and they followed their ex-commander down as the latter cut off communications with the rest of the unit. The new commander looked as they nose-dived towards the enemy Carrier’s rear, where its interior hangar was, as he received a message from another unit.
“What the hell happened? New commander! What is going on there?!” Another commander said through the coms. The new, young commander responded after looking down one last time and directing his 300-Fighter unit away. “We are to retreat! My unit is in the middle of a last attack against the remaining Carrier! We should leave before their rear Fleet comes to us! We won’t be able to breathe if they catch us! Please, help me transmit this to everyone else.”
“You already did.” - “Shit, a suicidal attack, huh? Best of luck, crazies…” - “Let’s go! Don’t leave anyone else behind! Our Admiral is still waiting for our return. Two enemy Fleets down. What else can he want in his first operation? Come on!!” - “HUA!!!” The commanders shouted before starting to take their several hundred-big Fighter unit. The new commander was startled but rapidly became used to the new personal communications channel as he led his unit towards the south.
Whooooosh! Whooosh! Whooosh! Whoooosh! Whooosh!...
“...” The new commander was silent as he saw, on the radar, how a couple hundred Fighters from his unit closed down on the enemy Carrier. More than a dozen were taken down before they fired at the previous congestion of Water and melted metal their Fighter units did to trap the unprepared enemy Fighters inside the Carrier. Their doing was pried open, and from a thin crack, more than 180 Fighters flew into the enemy Carrier’s interior.
… ta rararararararararararara- rararara- rara- rarararara- ra… “!” The new commander was creeped out when he found out a source of sound was still transmitted from the excommunicated Fighters. It must’ve been from the outside of a Fighter because the sounds were hollow, no voices sounded, whooshing noises were endless, and the firing of machine guns continued without a stop.
Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiing… The commanders’ comms channel was silenced, but the new commander was too worried to hear and put everything into color and image in his head to care about it. Suddenly, the noise of something charging was heard, and then, the new commander and everyone else listening to these sounds in the Bulldog Fighter and channel understood something. While they were out of missiles and half their machine guns, the ex-commander still had his artillery gun untouched.
He had protected it before, even losing a few team members from his also a Bulldog Fighter, but they were even willing to suffer or die for it. Now, it seemed to pay off, as the ex-commander seemed to overload the artillery piece barrel with their Neutral Energy, Neutral Stones, and Water particles… Meanwhile, those enemy Fighters trying to destroy the other Fighters protecting the ex-commander’s Fighter were armed to the teeth…
“You had a nice journey, boss…” The new commander whispered, just 1 second before the dashing glow of tragedy flashed several hundred meters into the sky.
KKAAA KAAAA KKKAAAA KAAA KAAA-... … BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM~!!!!
“Haha! The Battleship was cut into 2! Look! Half their structure is becoming dust! Well done! Hahaha…” - “It’s… beautiful, alright.” - “Damn!... This was caused by one of us… only one of us…” - “Time to go.” The new commander said, and the commanders' communication channel was silenced afterwards. The 8,000 surviving Fighters proceeded to speed into the distance, where another battle had ended, and a stalemate between the Sand Emirate Grotto’s sea territory and the Blue Emirate Grotto’s sea territory was created.
Peeeeeeeeew, peeeeeeew- whooosh! Whooosh! Whooosh! Whooosh!...
… At the Blauw Empire’s sea territory, tens of thousands of kilometers south of the Palace island. A unique Ornament floated at the side of 2 people, resting. Heian Ciemnosc wore his dark coat as it slowly and smoothly flowed around his calves. His arms were resting, separated from the sides of his body, forming relaxed fists. To his right, behind him, as the sun flashed in a dark coat without any hope of brightening it, Shuna looked at him before moving to float beside him.
“... It is confirmed. The top 5s have gotten someone to spend money for them. Mn, they want your Empire badly. This is no longer a feud. Their new Fleets were fully charged with missiles, even if not having all machine guns available, and only 1 LFBD rocket launcher per Battleship and Carrier.” Heian Ciemnosc said after sensing her and the energy fluctuations inside her body.
“Mm, it’s good you prohibited me from coming out. I would’ve thwarted your plans for my Empire if I had come out… Those rocket launchers finished so many of my people at once… They were ready, but so many were lost… I could feel their Souls leaving my knowledge.” Shuna said as she looked at the early morning sun lighting the sky before her eyes. Heian Ciemnosc nodded and crossed his arms to say, “They finished off those rocket launchers exactly how they should. But this isn’t a world for second chances… At least they died knowing they will win the battle.”
“Mn, at least they saw merit before their early deaths,” Shuna commented.
