Cannot Decide Other's Life And Death
Ciemnosc simply rushed those steps towards the vice headmaster. He quickly caught up and, without letting the vice headmaster chance to even believe his life was threatened, Ciemnosc directly lunged at him with his Claws Out. With his tiny claws out, now the size of his pinky's nail, Ciemnosc's Ciemnosc quickly reached the Topi's. And then he surrounded the latter's body while his hands softly clutched at his neck and collarbone.
The vice headmaster wasn’t even feeling threatened. But Ciemnosc was already with his body stuck to the back of Topi, his left hand’s tiny claws softly tracing the front of Topi’s neck and his right hand simulating a hug from the back, but with his minuscule claws also tracing Topi’s collarbone. All in all, Ciemnosc now had total control over Topi’s life, and it was his to decide if to kill, eat, or simply not.
Only when Ciemnosc closed his head, his lips, and his fangs over the vice headmaster’s left ear did the latter realize he was in danger, but still didn’t realize he was at his enemy’s mercy already. Ciemnosc softly spoke into that ear, “You will pay me back those kicks, with your body, as my subsistence.”
Phhshk! Crrreeesshhhhkk, crreeshhk crreeshhk~~...
“Ah, I-... Uaaghk!” The vice headmaster tried to speak, to buy time and conceivably save himself in case someone else found them and could deal a decisive blow for his escape. He was the one to defeat Ciemnosc just now. After all, they owed him! But... if he had defeated him, how-...
As the vice headmaster realized these obvious thoughts, Ciemnosc had already started slowly, excruciatingly slowly cutting through Topi’s throat with his left handed fingers from the right jugular to the leftmost one. Blood was already spilling and coming out as squirting from the beginning as those diminutive claws began painting the light brown sand skin wet and reddish.
Then, Ciemnosc’s right hand clawed at the left chest of the vice headmaster before moving to the left with his tiny claws never leaving his body, trailing blood, flesh, and even veins towards the right until it reached the connection between Topi’s right shoulder and arm… before pulling with heavier ounces of strength and detaching it directly!
“... Noom~!! Nom, nom nom, nom nom, nom, nom nom nom…” Ciemnosc didn’t wait any longer. With his easy dishes already prepared, he preferred to strike the heart first and dived right into it after climbing up Topi’s back with his feet stepping on the latter’s waist. From any point of view other than the first person, this scene was the most creepy and bizarre, one that would instantly churn one’s insides and head at the same time.
But even then, Topi himself was facing a terribly anxious situation where, just from before, when he couldn’t feel or see a single thing, he now had his emotions and sensations augmented like never before in his entire life, even as an Obsidiafying realm cultivator. The pain, torture, and madness of having his heart eaten while he couldn’t even tell where Ciemnosc was coming from- no, where that monster was hiding or hurting him… It was beyond maddening!!
“Aah… Arrgggh… graahh… aah… ah… … …” After a couple of minutes, no more sounds could be heard emitting from somewhere. At times, those at other parts of this impossible, hellish, shady, and heartlessly cold ‘place’ could attend those same sounds from Topi’s torture. And everyone could recognize the owner of those… sounds from the tone and roughness. Until they disappeared. And it was only then that they realized the fate of someone going against Ciemnosc.
But, even then, they would still fight for the academy. And for those from the east, for their ‘major’ organizations, they had to, in order to preserve the hegemony of their so-called ‘major’ organizations. And then everything went silent, without anything else being heard anywhere… until it all disappeared, and light, reality, and life seemed to return to their eyes and surroundings!
“Ah! It’s gone!!” An utmost relieved voice could be heard. It shouted out loud and made those cowardly embracing themselves on the ground wake up and look around, barely noticing that the dark world they were in was now gone.
“You, what happened? Where’s- and just where is Ciemnosc?!” Suddenly, the previous headmaster’s voice shocked them to the core as they sobered up, knowing they were still in a precarious situation. One of them responded as rapidly and smoothly as possible. But his shaky voice and trembling body exposed what everyone else there was affected like. “Headmaster! Please, you have to be named our headmaster again. We need someone to lead us. Only you, headmaster, can help us now!”
“That demon, fiend!” The person continued after not a single weird glance or frown directed towards him, “He has sent us to hell just now! We wa- we- we were in hell!!”
“...” The headmaster frowned. Never in his goddamn life did he imagine ever seeing an Obsidiafying realm cultivator react in such a way, and just for being in a place that looked just like a ball of a pitch-black color and nothing else from outside. The person continued, however.
“He killed Topi!!” The terror in the person’s eyes made the eyes of the other victims turn just as terrified as his, “We could hear him, we- w- we- oh, the vice headmaster has been killed! Possibly eaten by that miserable monster too! Headmaster!!”
“Then where is he?! Enough with that! How can he not be found right now?! Who do you think you’re speaking to? Since I’m your headmaster, recuperate your damn mentality first, then find Ciemnosc!! He has committed crimes against his academy and must be punished for that! Where is he, and why haven’t you begun searching for him?!!”
“... … …” With the headmaster’s outrage, the entire auditorium turned somberly silent, and its emptiness couldn’t be any more obvious. It was then that one single, and in particular, step sounded out, attracting everyone’s attention.
“... Ciemnosc!” Exclaimed the headmaster as he was the first to see the boy, only with some of his pants covering his crotch and upper thighs. At the sound of that exclamation, those from the academy were trembling more intensely but tried to tone it down as they knew they had to defend the academy, and the world, from such evil! And those from the east only looked on, tremblingly as well, but with fear. They wanted not to die in this land that didn’t belong to them, in any case.
Blood flooded his face, mostly towards his chin and around his mouth. His eyes were darkest, but the veins around them were bulging, as if he had sustained some kind of injury. Inadvertently, the headmaster’s eyes softened as if he wanted to find a way to console Ciemnosc. However, his eyes abruptly steeled over, gaining over his emotions as he looked at Ciemnosc with sternness and disappointment.
“It is just as they said. I ate that man.” Ciemnosc’s voice came out… not soft, calm, and quiet as it had always been in their ears. One terrifyingly seductive, charismatic, and soulstealer. Vastly different from that, it had turned hoarse. It was dragged on and was terrifyingly enchanting, hypnotizing, and irresistible.
“It’s funny, though,” Ciemnosc continued to say. He was just in the middle of all those who entered his ‘place’ for any names it could be given in the future. It wasn’t that they surrounded him. He simply had that ‘luck’ of appearing right there, nothing else. The 8 survivors from before were now dead, with 7 of them becoming puddles of blood that disappeared, while the last one had its neck impaled by Ciemnosc’s right claw while his left hand grasped his collar.
Thud.
Letting go of the collar, a massive amount of blood came out and wetted his right hand, wrist, forearm, and a little above his elbow. His back was bent, his legs barely holding, and his head was raised to look at the headmaster, who was almost an entire kilometer away and towards the ‘rich’ side of the mountain.
“No matter how many I eat of you… I just seem incapable of healing my interior… like you are all… just lacking ‘that’... I guess… I’m a bit special?”
“....” Harsh, yet slow, breathing sounds could be heard as Ciemnosc casually spoke of cannibalism. Ciemnosc could see it in their eyes. It was clear, though the headmaster didn’t show any actual disgust, for that matter. He was stern and seemed still hurt. This made Ciemnosc think, ‘You never even cared in the first place? Then, what? Because I killed them back? Headmaster Clann… I don’t know if you are either ‘advanced’ for a world like this… or if you are just like a mad bird trapped in a cage thinking they’re free. You just want to be free.’
“Hm,” Ciemnosc hummed lightly. His left hand was swung lightly and slowly. It was all Ciemnosc could do anyways, within his current state. His tiny black, all-consuming claws made some sound as they cut through the air like they owned it in the first place and were to do whatever they wanted with it.

“Since you aren’t coming, I will,” Ciemnosc said, once again with his hoarse voice and the like, eliciting his enemies to suddenly gain an unknown, brand new courage as they prepared themselves and their skin, though numb and pores opening still, became as rigid as their will!
Step step step step…
Ciemnosc gave tem no time to think. With his back bent, he immediately rushed to the nearest Obsidiafying realm cultivator, who took a knife out. It was of a top notch quality, but it was just ordinary. The boy quickly arrived before his next victim, made a slight jump that brought him 3 meters into the air, the soles of his feet landing on the victim’s chest, his right hand immediately hacking down at the victim’s left glenohumeral joint.
Crrreeesshhhhkk, whoos- crrrrr- ting, phhshk.
“AAAAAAAAHHH! Bleeeurgh…!” The victim had his left arm detached from his body. No questions were asked, nor were any chances given. The silent Ciemnosc. Who suddenly seemed to become an impossibly potent but also different being, and bogey reminded those in the dark before of exactly that.
There wasn’t any time to contemplate, however, as the left arm went up into the air spiraling, the victim’s right chest was pierced by Ciemnosc’s left hand. In the meantime, the victim raised his right hand and stabbed upwards at Ciemnosc’s chin, right in front of his neck. And with the blatant intention to kill. The movements of both fighters were so quick that even those who started rushing to kill Ciemnosc were incapable of doing anything, let alone the headmaster— once again as —who wanted to yell at the victim to stop so as to not kill Ciemnosc.
However, he stopped himself after taking a sudden and almost to-dash-out step forwards. It wouldn’t be reasonable to ask someone to die instead of the child by being killed by that child… right?
While the headmaster did nothing but watch, a terrible thing for both sides, Ciemnosc was stabbed in the chin in an upward motion. But the ordinary, top-notch quality knife simply broke itself to pieces instead. Every millimeter sent into Ciemnosc’s skin, it broke out and left not a single tad of an injury on his slightly pale skin. If only the tiny dusty shards became bloodied and slowly turned into blood, thickening their substance as it fell on the ground. It wasn’t his blood but that of his victims.
While his chin was being stabbed at, if it could even be called that, Ciemnosc carved a path with his left hand and his tiny, black claws, pushing apart every bit of flesh, crushing any section of any bone, and cutting through any organ from the chest of his current victim to the left; aiming at his heart.
Ciemnosc did it slowly though he was required to move his upper torso the more his left arm penetrated his victim’s chest. The squishy and rough sensations that he found made his head feel light and clearheaded, and as he moved slowly, it gave the victim all the time he needed to stab his knife more and more up into his chin.
Power Energy was infused into the knife, and by the time only the knife’s handle remained, a streak of blood finally formed from Ciemnosc’s skin as it was punctured. Even though the blade was entirely harmless alone, when taking into the equation Power Energy imbued into it, becoming capable of injuring him like this just because of being fed by its owner’s Obsidiafying realm’s Power Energy.
And in the end, the victim felt power disappear from his body as Ciemnosc’s left hand and tiny, black claws clenched his heart. At the same time, Ciemnosc gritted his teeth and released them, over and over again, as he could smell the richness of the heart’s blood pumping out and even more each time he clenched his left hand.
Step, step!
“Hah!” - “Yiah!” Two different sources of danger approached Ciemnosc. One was a sole of a foot, covered with Power Energy that challenged the limits of an Obsidiafying realm. It was obvious whoever was employing such an attack was going all out and didn’t care for their safety. The other one - was a short, melee deathly technique of Power Energy, fed from the right arm and side of one’s body as it acted like a snake lunging out and opening its jaws to bite at Ciemnosc.
The former came from behind Ciemnosc, while the latter from his right, all while his dying victim fell backwards with his victim’s eyes going lifeless and without light.
Thud- whoo- patah! Pssh-.
Ciemnosc quickly jumped, using his victim’s body as a platform, making it a mix of mangled flesh, flattened bones, and squirting blood as his waist and abdomen turned into meaty messes. No longer a good plate to keep, Ciemnosc simply took his left arm out and placed the mangled but juicy heart into his mouth before biting onto it, half of it already through his teeth.
At the same time, he sent a kick backwards with his left leg enveloped by his dark Power Energy, clashing with the enemy’s shin and deviating the incoming kick. But he wasn’t able to react to the deathlier attack to his right. And in a couple of seconds, his neck was bitten by the Power Energy of the other enemy, thereafter feeling a hand in a knife stance chop at his neck and being hit by it, forcing him down onto the ground.
Ciemnosc stopped his forceful fall with his left hand while his teeth were forced to bite in half the heart in his mouth, the other half falling off from it, it started to spiral in the air. In a hurry, Ciemnosc pushed himself up with only his left hand while taking one of his last 2 Mortal swords out, brandishing it with his left hand to cut from the crotch to the top of the head of the other enemy. Right after, as he got himself up, his eyes quickly searched for the heart, his smell, hunger, and thirst winning as his mouth immediately opened to reveal a row of black, all-consuming teeth.
“Munch! Crush, munch munch…” As Ciemnosc caught it, fresh and delicious, powerful blood entered his system after going through his disgustative tongue and savage rows of teeth. Biting it several times together with the other half that was already shredded in his mouth, within his cheeks, Ciemnosc stood up fully. And with his right hand making a grasping motion, his last Mortal sword appeared, his right arm barely holding itself up.
Ting, pshiift~- pew.
Dark Power Energy was infused into it from Ciemnosc’s right shoulder. It snaked through down his arm and wrist. Passing through his hands and fingers, it arrived at the sword’s handle before intertwining around the sword’s blade. That strand of dark Power Energy became faster and more electrifying the more it went down his right shoulder to his right handed thin Mortal sword. And when it reached its tip, it exploded forth as a thin strand of dark light that entered the glabella of the one who tried kicking him before!
“!!” And to the shock of the eyes of everyone else around, the one who had his glabella pierced, leaving a smallish hole that revealed the surroundings behind the enemy, was suddenly sucked towards Ciemnosc, as if he had somehow connected with the now-dead enemy in that mere moment and dragged him to his Covert Space bags.
“Now, it’s time for me to go.” Said Ciemnosc as he stored the 2 halves of the one trying to chop his neck off, whose eyes bulged out of his sockets and entrails had fallen onto the ground, revealing some of its contents. Some, because there wasn’t much to speak of as an Obsidiafying realm cultivator.
Swish swish, whoosh whoosh!
Saying so, Ciemnosc spread his arms while still holding his thin Mortal swords, the last 2 he had in his person. Sending them flying way above the headmaster, who had a pale face, and slightly towards the side, which was where all the richest and students of the highest status resided, Ciemnosc suddenly made a run for one of the broken edges of the mountain after the first 3 explosions!
The thin Mortal swords were the most important ones. They somehow made the Obsidiafying realm cultivators feel something they had forgotten slowly return to the tip of their tongues. It was enough to grab the attention of Ciemnosc, who already began rushing to the side of the mountain on the auditorium where most students resided. Some cries of Creatures could also be heard from the distance…
“Stop him! Detain him already!!” The headmaster shouted, pointing at Ciemnosc with his right index finger and arm fully extended but trembling as he dared not move against this boy… He was also feeling slightly weirded out. Though he hadn’t heard clearly, what was said right before the ‘dark ball’ appeared in the middle of the auditorium, he could tell something was just wrong.
“Hah!” - “Stop right there, boy!!” - “Your journey ends here! It’s over for you, boy!” Shouting resumed as more and more enemies tried to put themselves between that edge and Ciemnosc, who wanted to jump right to it. They didn’t care whether it was because he wanted to end himself, not able to fly, or because he wanted to try his luck. But everyone, including the remaining forces of the east, joined up in order to detain him.
Chiiiiiiiiiirp. ROAAAAAAAAR~~. Yiiiiiiiiiiiiiii~! AO AO, AAAWOOOOUUUH!
“!!” But suddenly, thousands of Creatures appeared up the mountain, from feathered to armored, and even some who looked like fairies. Having ethereal wings, ears, tails, or so. Their calls were first a warning, second a threat. One that implied their decisiveness to protect Ciemnosc! To deter his enemies from approaching and harming him any further, and even more so of battling to the death against these ‘few’ Obsidiafying realm cultivators!! No matter what.
“Ugh, ack!” Ciemnosc wasn’t without obstruction, however. Even as his reared Creatures rushed up and made a monumental blockade against his enemies, leaving a gap for him to go through, several Obsidiafying realm cultivators caught up to him ever so efficiently. Beginning sending all sorts of attacks that landed on him without many failing to do so.
It wasn’t like just a few thousand Creatures was enough to face off 30 or so Obsidiafying realm cultivators, with half being at the peak. But as some tried directly killing them off to let others go after Ciemnosc, they discovered a little curious thing. One that chilled their spines whole.
“Be careful! They’re sacrificing themselves for their mas- their monstrous master!!” - “Look at him. He must be a beast! A beast! I tell you!!” - “Don’t let yourself be caught, only fight and don’t try to kill them, they-” - “No! They aren’t stupid. Look! They are doing it without being threatened of their lives still, forsaken!!”
As the cultivators cursed and hoped Ciemnosc to die, their own people began being brutally fought back by these weaklings. These Creatures were not much stronger than the Conflagrate realm at best, and even then, only a couple were of that realm. However, they had one thing; and some features that any other living being did not. A Spirit Heart-Link. Which allowed them to exchange all their life, bloodline, and cultivation base for an utmost powerful, global attack against any enemy.
The first time an Obsidiafying realm cultivator killed one of them, they sacrificed their Spirit Heart-Link, sending a ray of golden, almost god-like, light that struck their killer. It wasn’t fatal, but it was a brutal attack even for peak Obsidiafying realm cultivators, and even more as they began doing so without even being attacked, let alone threatened with their lives.
“Wait! Headmaster, call everyone back! HEADMASTER!!” Suddenly, a voice that could be said to be enormously terrified, scalp-numbed, and horrified shouted out. Leaving the headmaster completely baffled… and fearful.
…
