Mowing
Heian Ciemnosc dashed out of nowhere, alarming every cultivator on the other side. But he ignored them, moving as fast as he could, and immediately, the enemy realized they couldn't see through Heian Ciemnosc's movements! Heian Ciemnosc's body disappeared in blurs, taking only 1 second to cross half a hundred meters even as he moved left and right until arriving before the pair of dark outlined hills. Heian Ciemnosc acted quickly, throwing his right arm into the air, and his Vocón Link came out from under his wrist.
... ... ... ... FWUOSH! Cli cli cli cli cli cli cli cli~~!
Around Heian Ciemnosc, strong, windy gales emanated from him as if his body was inundated with its particles. However, any cultivator here understood this was mere Elemental manipulation, and it came from one's surroundings. As Heian Ciemnosc exposed this Wind technique, he jumped into the air. But only a little less than 2 meters. The soles of his feet faced his right as he started spinning, his Vocón Link finding its way to the hills, increasing its volume.
“Hold it! Fuck, prepar-” The cultivators weren’t that slow to respond after a couple seconds finally went by. This demonstrated their experience and level as Geniuses, but Heian Ciemnosc was still faster! His body rapidly spun midair as the Vocón Link created a cloud of darkness superimposing in the hills. The cultivators could only watch. Suddenly, dark wind traveled through the Vocón Link. However, it wasn’t slow or flowing. It was directly being shot through the dark whip. All the cultivators could see was a blurred shadow attempting to be a flame, coursing through it.
What came next became the reason for their extra surprise and becoming startled. The Vocón Link exploded with dark wind, and from the cloud of darkness, countess dark wind spikes shot from it. In under a second, dozens of those spikes moved from the cloud and shot towards the cultivators! Their eyes could only widen before the first hundred fell back and down with their chest impaled and their arms breaking apart like popping balloons.
Pew, pew, pew, pew, pew, pew, pew…! Phhshk! Phhshk! Phhshk! Phhshk! Phhshk! Phhshk!...
“Aaahhhh, klooooh…” - “PTui! GWWAAa-aaah!!” - “NO- SPLAASSHHHH-” - “Ah, fuuc-” But that was only the beginning of the barrage, as more and more dark wind spikes shot towards the cultivators, mowing them like free land, cut through and down like lifeless puppets stumbling around.
Tap, tap. Heian Ciemnosc’s feet landed on the ground again. His Vocón Link wasn’t rotating nonstop anymore, but the cloud of darkness dissipated from getting used. But as for his dark Power Energy reserves? They were barely any wasted! On the other hand, even as these cultivators used all kinds of techniques and even some quick Arts methods to protect themselves, they were all eaten down by the few hundred spikes.
A few hundred cultivators were exterminated in just under 10 seconds, and there were still a few cultivators dying every few seconds from the remnants of Heian Ciemnosc’s dark Power Energy lying around them. Heian Ciemnosc simply watched. His thin, short, pitchest-blackest hair and dark coat looked superb, stern, and cold, like a hunter, predator, and cruelest schemer. His darkest eyes didn’t reflect the deaths of these many cultivators before Heian Ciemnosc turned around and walked towards his allies.
His body swayed slightly to the left and right while his shoulders gained a ‘free’ motion, going up and down without pretending or feeling emotions. When his allies saw him like this, they were taken aback, nearly thunderstruck. However, feeling Heian Ciemnosc’s urgency to start working with them, they rapidly eased down and recuperated their almost-lost mentality. Barriers were broken through, and only the toughest ones forced the dark wind spikes to halt before drilling through, landing on their target.
Some of them exploded furthermore, with dark Power Energy latching onto the cultivators near them, immediately melting their clothes and starting to heat their skin. Eve Demons and Fire Elves were down to their bones when trying to sweep it with their rigorous Power Energy. That dark Power Energy was fed with a cultivator’s Dantian or Psychogenic, adept at cultivation or Spirit Sense. As for those who had high Soul talent, they were simply Heian Ciemnosc’s feast.
“ENOUGH!” A cultivator yelled from their side. Neutral Energy ascended into the skies, shooting hundreds of meters into the skies in just a few seconds. Heian Ciemnosc even looked back at the sky, his darkest eyes mysterious, and nobody could know what he was thinking. And after the Neutral Energy ascended to 500 meters, its owner flew 20 meters up, standing out from the rest of the cultivators, facing Heian Ciemnosc with a terrible expression.
… step, step, step, step. Heian Ciemnosc lowered his eyes and looked at this tall, bulky cultivator for a second before walking towards his allies to take devices out of his Covert Space bags. The Neutrality realm cultivator was incensed, but before he could strike forward, Teno looked at this and, without looking at Tene, both shot into the sky and didn’t even let the arbitrator around show themselves to stop this cultivator from harming Heian Ciemnosc, a Broken Crystallization realm cultivator.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Both flew up, bypassing Heian Ciemnosc’s sides, lifting and fluttering his dark coat. The pale young man continued taking devices out as the few thousand from their alliance grabbed them and let the dark Power Energy become instilled within their clothes and one of their palms. As the ally cultivators proceeded integrating those devices, they chatted and exclaimed in whispers, well-trained.
“Wahh, did you see that?” - “Shh, pass me it.” - “MY gosh! Did you see that?” - “They’re so powerful… that’s our leaders!” - “What stage were they at? They must be at the peak!” - “Nope, they aren’t even in the late stages, but they are still so young. Amazing, don’t you think?” - “Shut it. Prepare to battle. These 2 victories are nothing if we die. This isn’t a play!” - “Continue passing the devices…” - “My teams are done!” - “The teams on my side are done!” - “Done…”
While the small ally group was prepared, Teno and Tene fought the other Neutrality realm cultivator. He wasn’t more powerful than them, but gaining a good image to boos their people’s morale was directly from the book. They flew around them, and despite being able to one-shot this idiot who came fighting alone, they encircled him and continuously beat him back in the middle whenever he attempted to escape.
After just 2 minutes, both sides watched without interfering, with the other side feeling heavily pressed down by the watching eyes since they were the only ones to make a wrong move. Of course, none of them had planned to suddenly ally to take the Phosphorescent Flower Sect, Obscure Orb Sect, and the Wrath Nihility Academy like this. Even if some have planned their demise, they never thought it would be this easy.
As such, with that little amount of time going by, the enemy cultivator became bloodied with purple bruises and a couple limbs limping without life. Teno took out a single blade from his Covert Space bag, bathed in an obscure color, gleaming with orange. It was 1.5 meters long but about 2 hands in width. When the cultivator saw this, his Spirit Image came out of his body to show a broad-shoulders monkey that granted him a burst of Neutral Energy.
However, Teno indifferently threw his sole blade into the air, following after it like a surfing board, yet not riding it and simply floating above it as they flew towards the cultivator. Suddenly, Teno’s body was encompassed by Neutral Energy, the same appearance as Power Energy, but with incredible more properties, sensations, and liberty at gaining shape and color.
As Teno and his blade closed in on the cultivator, a gleaming orange encompassed the Neutral Energy around them, making them look like a meteorite about to strike their target. Tene did nothing and simply watched, crossing her arms as she looked casual and indifferent, like when Heian Ciemnosc watched his work massacre hundreds of lives just now. They were the center of attention as Heian Ciemnosc took his spot facing another side of the crowd.
Finally, Teno’s body was about to penetrate the cultivator’s stomach when the cultivator covered his front with Neutral Energy, forming an impregnable fortress consisting of layers and layers of translucent, gray-white energy. This Neutral Energy, only if someone at the same level used an all-out attack would they have a chance to nearly break it. However, just then, Teno’s body disappeared along the obscure blade, but the gleaming orange surrounding the Neutral Energy continued, with the latter still holding on as it crashed into the cultivator.
The cultivator’s body pulsed back and forth as he resisted the attack, but he was aware something was really wrong, but he couldn’t tell what! The remaining of Teno’s attack was enough to nearly break his defensive Art method, exhaustively using his Neutral Energy reserves like no other. The cultivator sighed in relief, but only halfway through, his back was pierced.
Teno’s body and blade suddenly morphed into existence as if a brush with multiple layers of colors went past him. The obscure blade, still gleaming with orange, had its tip stabbing the cultivator’s tailbone. The moment the cultivator’s eyes opened, Teno forced it upwards. His hands held its sides as it vertically swept up, cutting through the cultivator’s vertebral column and flesh. Nothing else happened after that, except for the cultivator’s organs and limbs falling to the mini-stadium’s floor.

Meanwhile, Tene returned to the small ally group and waited for Teno, taking one of the sides facing the crowd. Teno rapidly returned, barely showing any fatigue as he showed his prowess. Without a doubt, their people’s morale was increased, and their enemy, clearly, became crestfallen. However, that couldn’t be enough to face off against these people, and sure enough, they began chanting and crying out in preparation to shrink the small ally group into a tiny ball.
Clamor… Roaar~... Stomp stomp…
Meanwhile, the other side of cultivators seemed about to rush towards them at any moment. The leaders prepared themselves. It was worth noticing that no Wrath Nihility Academy teams are in the same stadium as Heian Ciemnosc. One would think every organization with enough teams entering the 3rd phase would be everywhere, but not another student besides Heian Ciemnosc stood in his stadium.
As if the world knew Heian Ciemnosc’s thoughts, comically, he received a creepy, back-trembling whisper through a mental message. It was Diego’s voice. “Do you feel pressured now, good kid? Ha! Hah! Oh, come on, don’t feel sad now, okay? I just thought of forcing you to show your ‘great’ talent. Now, do your best. You wouldn’t want to disappoint your new allies now, would you? Haha!”
‘I’m a goddamned trouble magnet,’ Heian Ciemnosc thought as his scalp returned to normal. He slightly lowered his back, taking a stance as if about to rush out. He was ‘below’ the eye, on the lead to face the enemy on his side. Teno and Yun Tang were above, while the promising girls, Tene and Yun Nitu, were on the right and left, respectively. The enemy finally started taking a few steps forwards, but as if having received commands, a large part of them flew upwards… Slowly.
“Wooooh!” - “Look at that!” - “What are they doing? They look silly!” - “It’s intimidation. For us, they are simply ‘playing’ around, but, to them, their escape routes are becoming none.” - “Now, even the air is theirs. This is what they are planning.” Some of the watchers conversed, but at this point, the small ally group couldn’t care any longer about them. On the other hand, the other side’s cultivators became more confident upon noticing the spectators’ response.
“Maintain your positions, keep your heads straight, don’t get distracted… Wait for our leaders’ signals!” Within the small ally group, a person spoke out within several teams. The same happened for other teams as time passed and the enemy reached closer. Nobody thought if this was really going to be the way they fought in this stadium. From a battle royale, it became a complete attempted wipe-out against them. Just because they supported Heian Ciemnosc?
Not many thought like that. If the alliance had met this upheaval before forming. They would have crumbled and started thinking about throwing Heian Ciemnosc up, which was likely what the enemy wanted the most right now. However, after Heian Ciemnosc met up with these monstrous leaders. Furthermore, after 3 months of training, such a thing seemed far away…
This served Heian Ciemnosc to prove his thoughts on the rest of the world compared to the Wrath Nihility Academy. Even these organizations, warrior-like, with more experience and much more understanding of the world’s higher steps, were behind the Academy’s ‘usual’ brotherhood and sisterhood among their members. In this way, it wasn’t a wonder why the other organizations above the Academy’s level were eager to improve their past relationship with them.
Pshift… Heian Ciemnosc started doing something. His dark Power Energy traveled down his body. Everyone within the small ally group could feel it. The devices hidden in their Covert Space bags also felt it, giving them a cooling, fresh sensation, different from a medallion’s communication system. What they couldn’t tell, however, was that Vocón Link was under their feet, with several dark, shapeless limbs protruding from it to ‘glow’ dark the soil underneath them.
His dark Power Energy was endless compared to before. His reserves were so much that he felt he could explode if someone entered and detonated it. However, this wasn’t gas, and nobody but he could use his own dark Power Energy. If anything, unless the other party was a Godly being, they would be slowly eaten by it. Suddenly, Teno, Tene, Yun Tang, and Yun Nitu’s eyes widened, jolting open and seriously narrowing.
“Hold!” - “Hold!” - “Hold!!” The 3 sides’ leaders shouted. Tene was the most emphatic shout, while Yun Nitu was the softest but still traveled everywhere from her side. At once, the small ally group shined darkness, like a rectangular barrier wrapping from their shoulders to their feet. Shapeless limbs entangled their backs, arms, and sides of their thighs, but their front was well-protected as if forming an impenetrable shield wall.
As their barriers were activated, they slowly spread dark, and electric fluctuations formed an equally defensive but thinner barrier than the other between each ally cultivator. Meanwhile, the enemy cultivators had begun frowning. As a thought entered their heads, the realization of something, they started giving orders to attack, move, and crush these people down!
“Attaaaaack!” - “Motherfu- bombard them, raze their skin to the ground, and win this battle royale!!” - “Follow me! Charge!!”
WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOOOOOSH…
“I’ll leave it to you, then.” Heian Ciemnosc looked backwards, talked through his medallion, and bent further down. The Phosphorescent Flower Sect and Obscure Orb Sect’s leaders nodded without turning their heads apart from their side as tens of thousands of enemies were flying, charging, and aiming at them from each side. They knew what their partner was about to do, so they didn’t waste energy and time and started analyzing their enemy’s moves.
Dash! Heian Ciemnosc’s body changed. His dark coat covered his dark tail, no longer simply a shadow, and was hidden under his clothes. As Heian Ciemnosc zoomed into the enemy’s ranks, his left hand slowly took his Golden Array Snakes out, placing it on his palm with his arm stretched. It was then that he thought, ‘I need to do something with these clothes. I should be able to hide my tail and recover my clothes without putting on new ones.’
As Heian Ciemnosc resolved his existential crisis, he arrived on the enemy side, breaking a few bodies whose blood, organs, and even bones were absorbed by his skin. The rest of his clothes, bloodied and smelling of gore, slowly passed the nutritious matter to his body, and as it happened, with his entrance gaining lots of attention, he was pointed at by many fingers.
“What the fuck?! He’s here! Hey! HEY!!” - “Heian Ciemnosc! What are you doing here? My god! What the fuck just…” - “OOH-AAH fuck! Move backwards. The little black monster is here! Move!! Help us!!” - “Half! We need at least half to kill him without suffering too- shit!”
“...” Heian Ciemnosc didn’t say anything or react in any way to being found. The Golden Array Snakes on his palm were somehow ignored as he turned around with his left arm stretched. He looked at the bunch of flying cultivators forming a tall wall before the small ally group. His sharper, striking, pitchest-blackest eyebrows were insanely enticing, with his hair shortened. He tilted his head to the right, looking up at them, and clenched his left hand.
Bong. PSHIIIFFFTT~~!
Golden ray lights exploded from his hand, slowly intertwining with a dark ray that extended from between his fingers. Heian Ciemnosc didn’t look at his hand and slowly threw his left hand upwards into the air to his front. Immediately after, an enormous rectangle, capturing at least 500 cultivators, appeared amidst the enemy lines. The cultivators became distracted by the sudden activity while the ally leaders finally saw their signal.
PSHIFT! Teno raised his arms as Yun Tang watched with crossed arms but was already prepared to shoot into the enemy with his eyes blazing battle spirit. From Teno’s fingertips, obscure violet energy emanated into the air, forming 10 trails as they created a simple orb 100 meters above. Seeing this and the enemy starting their attack, those on Teno’s side rapidly tensed their bodies and circulated their energy.
Pshiiiiiiiiiiiiift~! Tene, on the other hand, although she also threw her hands into the air, and only 2 spiraling obscure violet Neutral Energy pillars rose into the sky. They formed a little point in the sky each. Before long, they turned into a delicate line, then 2, and finally, they became the shape of an eye. A moment later, the eye opened, creating an eye’s features. It was wholly obscure violet without pupils or sclera.
Pshift~! Lastly, Yun Nitu thrust her left arm forward, her hand in a knife gesture. Like stardust, lime, warm green light surrounded her brown skin. Thin, long ribbons of the same color projected from her arm, forming a carousel that started charging forward, fearlessly about to strike against the enemy. The ally cultivators behind her felt their blood boil, their heads stressing, and their feet restless!
PAAH! Suddenly, from the side, before the clash could even occur, a golden flash streaked into the sky, immediately disappearing. Every head turned to look there, even stopping the charging enemy cultivators and the lime light green carousel about to crash into them. They saw only one thing in common. From where the Golden Array Snake’s barrier entrapped a few hundred cultivators, only an empty space with some clothes here and there remained.
Heian Ciemnosc was standing alone with his right shoulder down, lazily looking at the others about to start fighting. In his left hand was a Demon’s arm brought up to his face. After licking the blood from the left side of his face, his tongue extending as it turned dark, he then took small bite after bite from the arm’s wrist in quick succession.
“Fiiiight!” Suddenly, Tene shouted again, her voice backed by her mighty Neutral Energy. The small ally group recuperated, immediately resuming their movements as energy attacks flew and bodies charged at the enemy. Next were Yun Nitu’s people, followed by Teno and Yun Tang’s side. In the end, it was Heian Ciemnosc who stole the enemy’s momentum and transferred it to the alliance!!
“FIIIGHT!” - “Fight! Fight for your organization, fuckeeers!” - “Show them… what we… got! Graaaah!” - “Don’t you dare run away! Come here, you little shit!” - “So what if you’re more?!! Do you even dare face me with another 10 of you? FUCKERS!!”
CLANK! POM! BANG, BANG, BAAAANG! KA-POOOOM! SLASH! SWISH! WOONG~!
Heian Ciemnosc watched, observing as the battle finally started. It unfolded brutally, eliminating row after row of enemy cultivators, desecrating their corpses as they stepped and flew past them, mangling their corpses even worse. It wasn’t supposed to be like this… at all! These battle royale were meant to be just the start, not a massacre! But the hosts’ representatives were still seated in the air, not even blinking more than necessary.
His darkest eyes slowly looked up, not to stare at the hosts, but to gaze at some energy attacks overflying the 300 meters tall walls surrounding them.
…
