Lightglassed Region's Thunderous Defeat!
"Tea-" Ishikyy looked up at Heian Ciemnosc's pale face, who was looking down at her. He grinned lightly and helped her up smoothly. When she recuperated her stability, Heian Ciemnosc grabbed her shoulders and spoke to her softly, "Every time you're in danger, you're afraid, and you feel like death is coming from seemingly no reason at all. Think of this. You do not need to think of me or call out to me. I will be there for you, understand?"
“Hmm, it is different from the ones the other girls say it’s like. Are you sure it will work?” Ishikyy asked, but not before covering her mouth to hide that nasty little grind as her brightest, cutest eyes looked at him. Heian Ciemnosc’s pale face fell, and his hands fell to her elbows. He stepped closer once and whispered his words to her forehead, making her sweat and blush blue harder. “What other girls? I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Imperial Teacher, please. Half my palace maids don’t stop talking about your length, while the other half are too shy, abashed, and don’t wish to speak to me no matter how many decorations I offer them.” Ishikyy said with an upright face, her back straight, and a formidable expression. On the other hand, Heian Ciemnosc was speechless. “...”
“They say you just need to kiss them, a quick peck on the lips, and they suddenly feel safer. Not just around you but wherever they go. Ah! I even remember some of them kneeling before me and begging me for forgiveness. But they never spoke about it. What was that about?” Ishikyy went little girl mode on him, and despite the tremendous absurdity of her words’ contents, Heian Ciemnosc simply shook his head lightly and said, “You’ll understand when you grow old.”
“Wah! What bullshit, Imperial Teacher. That’s not nice! With the things we’ve done, wuu…” Ishikyy demanded answers, slapping his chest like a dainty damsel, distressed about the incapability to force it out of him. But Heian Ciemnosc grabbed her wrists after a couple of breezes and said with a somber tone, “Bullshit? You know what is bullshit? Even after all ‘the things we’ve done’— you still call me by that title. Don’t you think you are bullshit?”
Ishikyy: (゜ロ゜)
“I’m your little girlfriend! How can you say that to me?! I’m also your royal princess! Waaah! How could you do this?!” Ishikyy’s face was worth remembering for a whole eternity. She blushed more blue but was helpless to inflict any damage on her abusive boyfriend. Heian Ciemnosc savagely grinned and innocently responded, “You’re my Little Ishikyy. I can help your mother feel at ease despite the constant worries about my involvement and the Empire’s struggles in a stage it had never stepped on after losing to the Wrath Nihility Academy. You think I can’t deal with your bratty ass?”
Heian Ciemnosc: ^(#`∀´)_Ψ
“... By that, you mean banging my Mom, right?” Ishikyy’s body became snakery, boneless, and soft. She leaned on Heian Ciemnosc’s front, or rather, fell on him with a vulnerable and helpless body. Looking up at him, her small, lithe hands on his chest and her naughty eyes eyeing her prey, she licked her lips and said as she intertwined her fingers around his nape and stuck her body to his, lifting it until her legs hugged around hips and her crotch landed on his. “One day, I will become your definitive wife. Don’t you dare treat me like a young girl, then. Alright?”
… Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh… whooosh.
… Time passed, and a few hours went by. A person came walking towards Heian Ciemnosc and Ishikyy, who stood up abreast of each other, staring at the ocean. The person knelt behind Heian Ciemnosc, to his right, and lowered her head, waiting for either to command her. Heian Ciemnosc turned his head around and lightly asked as a windy breeze went past the back of his head. “Is it the Lightglassed Region again?”
“Yes, honorable sir. This time, they’ve sent 15,000 Supreme grade Neutral Stones. Their envoy was sent back as soon as they came and should have already reached their alliance’s headquarters.” The person said, keeping her posture low, but her tone was loud and solemn. Ishikyy turned around, bowed at Heian Ciemnosc, and said, “It is time for me to leave, teacher. See you soon.”
“!” The person became slightly shocked after hearing the royal princess’s meaningful words. The war this time around wouldn’t be a problem. That’s what’s up. Meanwhile, Heian Ciemnosc sent a Soul message to Ishikyy’s cute little head, looking up at him, to which she swiftly responded. “We’ll be watching.” - “I know.”
“Accompany me back,” the royal princess commanded when she stopped beside the person before resuming her walk back into the encampment. They were around the Eyeseeking Region’s eastern borders, where the last of the 3 northern Regions, the Lightglassed Region, was located. The person didn’t say anything and obediently followed the royal princess, whose cultivation base had finally solidified in the Neutral Encephalon realm 1st stage after a week! Just a week! Not only the cultivation speed was insane, but the time she took to stabilize and solidify her cultivation path was over the top! Only seen in the records of those Chosens!
As the two left the hill, Heian Ciemnosc stood there, looking at their backs before turning around. He stared at the ocean, and then, as if his eyes could cross through an impossible distance, he set his darkest eyes on terrains where the Empire’s spies were skillfully moving around and hiding from the cultivators who started scanning their Cities and organizations’ individual territories since the fall of the Undermudmusk and Eyeseeking Regions.
“Oh…” Then, when he set his eyes on a particular ‘middle point’ in the millions of kilometers-long shore shared between all sea Regions, and someone seemed to look in his general direction but couldn’t really see him, Heian Ciemnosc exclaimed before turning around and walked down the hill. His figure was casual as if he was just an oldie having a healthy stroll somewhere in the wilderness. Yet, the person Heian Ciemnosc was looking at seemed not to notice and continued staring into the northern Regions, nearly aimlessly.
… A couple hours later. The Blauw Empire began mobilizing inland. Meanwhile, their fleets didn’t submerge this time and simply moved to the Lightglassed Region. These movements weren’t hidden, nor were they even attempting to hide their troops or warships. The Blauw Empire mobilized their forces ostensibly, directly showing the other sea Regions and the Lightglassed Region how they viewed this war.
Now, it seemed as if the Blauw Empire was fond of waging wars everywhere. One day, they decided to get revenge on the Undermudmusk Region, but at the same time, they decided to involve the foreign Eyeseeking Region. As a result, those 2 Regions now belonged to the Blauw Empire. It was unbelievable, for sure, but their strength proved their worth. Right now, if the Blauw Empire wasn’t watched 24/7, even if only from afar, the sea Regions wouldn’t be so peaceful.
“... Everyone’s in position, all units have confirmed. Awaiting the Generals’ words.” Currently, the Blauw Empire formed intensely long lines behind their Eyeseeking Region’s eastern borders. Tens of thousands of armored vehicles were spread over at least several tens of meters, and the tanks were at the very back with their barrels seemingly aiming already. The helicopters were on land still, and their piloting teams seemed too relaxed to look like they were joining the fight from the start.
There were little to no cultivators on foot, as the rest were all boarding those armored vehicles. Even the special forces were comfy in their incredibly fast wheels or tracks. The night of the last day from the 1-month limit was just tens of seconds away. Silence ensued everywhere, but instead of making the Empire’s soldier units deafened or lose calmness, they felt as if they were embraced by the obscurity, encouraged to start.
Swooooooshhhhh~~!
On the other hand, the Blauw Empire’s fleets arrived at the Lightglassed Region, and for the first time in history, they acted appropriately. They couldn’t be sure and wished to have some hope, at the very least, to think about winning. However, the Lightglassed Region and everyone else now knew how not to fight the Blauw Empire. They sent no warships to the water. In fact, they evacuated everything but the Fauna off their sea territory.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
The sea was completely devoid of life, but some bombs and traps were set around. However, the Empire’s warships didn’t even need to fire their anti-missile turrets, and they either deactivated them or triggered them with simple energy bouts. The Blauw Empire’s navy advanced through the Lightglassed Region’s sea and rapidly arrived before its beaches.
They rushed towards the sand. The navy recognized that no enemy force was around, either by their radars or constant monitoring of the beach zones with their Fighters. As for those zones where rocks obstructed the sight, absolutely no one was around in a 1,000 km radius. That wasn’t the limit of the artillery guns, but it would be virtually impossible for their machine guns to reach that far accurately, even if it was protective barriers in a City or the Small City.
So far, everything was ready, and the enemy had left the Blauw Empire with fewer dangers than thought before. However, with a clear glance and a passing of scouting Fighters, to which the enemy didn’t even bother trying to take them down, lest they waste ammo for the upcoming judgment day. Thus, the Blauw Empire rapidly shared the information, and the Generals got to know about the enemy’s plans before deciding when to start.
The Lightglassed Region chose a square shaped formation between Cities and brand-new strongholds, whose arsenal was dozens of machine guns, several artillery guns, and around of missiles for a medium-sized force. As for the Cities, the enemy had gone all out, and each had hundreds of machine guns, dozens and dozens of artillery guns, and several rounds of missiles. Besides that, more than 5 layers of protective array formations embraced them, with a readied enemy army inside that numbered from 1 to 5 million soldier units.
Yet, despite knowing all this and understanding each enemy City would be riddled with too much firepower and numbers to divide their army too much, slowing down their process while the enemy begged for the other sea Regions’ aid, the Generals still commanded. “Start bombarding… now. CHAAAAAARGE!”
STOMP! STOMP! STOMP! STOMP! STOMP! STOMP! Vrrrroooooommm!! Vrrrroooooommm!!“HUAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” The ground forces didn’t miss a second of it, directly stomping their feet hard on the ground and driving their armored vehicle forward! The helicopters were left behind, but the rest stormed forward, and they were unstoppable under the picture of the night!
Pum! Pum! Pum!... Pfiush, pfiush, pfiush, pfiush…!~!~!~! Pf pf pf pf pf pf pf pf pf pf! Pf pf pf pf!...
For one part, tens of millions of soldier units rushed at one sole 1* Region from one side, directly sending shivering tremors through the land and the enemy’s hearts. On another part, the Blauw Empire’s navy started bombarding from the beaches, aiming their shelling and missiles at who knew where while the ground forces fearlessly charged forward without fear of being caught in friendly fire.
However, it was then that the enemy recognized where the Empire’s navy was aiming, and none other but the side facing the Eyeseeking Region, every single City and stronghold there that was blocking the ground forces’ entry to the Lightglassed Region… And with the rocket launchers added in, it was no joking matter that earthquakes started wreaking everywhere in the Lightglassed Region’s east.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!- BOOOM- KA BOOOOOOOOM~~!! Bang, bang, bang, bang! Ka- booooooooooomm~~! Bang! Boom! Boom! Bang! Baaang!!
RUUMBLEE~!! Just as the armored vehicles rushed onwards and watched protective barriers blink in and out of existence, just as they were preparing to fight, holding their weapons or part of the armored vehicle they were in, and looked deadly ahead. The enemy Cities’ protective array formation barriers were blasted to nonexistence instantly! One after another, with a small round of shelling, missiles, and some rockets synchronized in different detachments to strike those barriers, they were blasted and left those Cities vulnerable!
Immeasurable flaming clouds rose into the air, even slowing the armored vehicles’ speed as the thinnest remnants from the explosions reached them, to which the ground forces continued forward fearlessly and saw clouds of hundreds of meters in diameter spread around the Cities. Buildings— no matter how tall or sturdy, fell under the earthquakes the eastern Lightglassed Region was suffering if they didn’t falter because of the massive bombardments.
Only the exterminated top 5 organizations and this Lightglassed Region could know what it felt like to be bombarded nearly all-out by the Blauw Empire’s navy. Hundreds of missiles descended upon every City, intelligently divided, each efficiently utilizing their full prowess to take down each protective barrier. And whatever was left fell on the City, bringing chaos to the entire zone. If it wasn’t because Heian Ciemnosc scanned a negligent number of civilians in each of these Cities, previously evacuated by the Lightglassed Region’s leaders, he would’ve changed the method a little, even if it meant more time wanted and a bigger % of casualties, even if just a little.
Now, as the Cities were becoming pure debris and charred structures, the armored vehicles rushed inside, immediately passing by the rubble and charred bodies, most of which were dead, but some cultivators were still alive, although their Neutral Energy had been used up to keep themselves alive. Precisely because of that, now, they were dying.
Vroooooooommm- Pshift, pshift, pshift, pshift!
“Uoghk!” - “Aah? AH! Khghh…!” - “Wuaaaaaaa- splash!” - “I s- ckrsheerr!” The surviving fellows were hopeless to be run over, and because their bodies were so vulnerable and burnt, the armored cars could actually deconstruct with a simple wheel, let alone a dozen that each armored vehicle had. On the other hand, some could talk, while others not only had enough strength to attack the Empire’s rushing ground forces, but also had enough spirit to do so!
However, their attacks were so weak that they could only threaten First Step cultivators, far below anyone on this battlefield. If anything, they scared the civilians who foolishly stayed, so the Imperial Guards had to put them down quickly lest an accident happen and they die. The citizen soldier units wouldn’t use their precious Souls or bodies just to kill off some dying enemy cultivators. Even less when they couldn’t aim in an angle to collateral other enemies and end them, too.
Nevertheless, one thing was certain. No matter how prepared the Lightglassed Region became and how their Cities turned into a substantial threat to the Blauw Empire, it was all partly gone the moment the Empire’s navy bombarded the inland. It was simply hopeless! The Lightglassed Region’s forces, behind their machine guns and artillery guns and readied up with their missile launching systems, were just aiming at the trajectory the Empire’s ground forces were moving.
But before they could even coordinate their preparations and fire together, they were blown into guts, pieces, and charred carcasses! They didn’t even have a chance to shoot a machine gun bullet before the Cities they were warm and comfortable to give their lives to delay the Empire turned into living hellfire, with only explosion noises and tiny cries of fear and desperation resounding before being immediately obstructed by death itself.
And now, the Empire’s ground forces they had tried to stop were rapidly leaving the western side of their Regionwide square formation, leaving the rest of the Region’s defensive forces vulnerable to an attack from the inside. Their Cities were well protected, but the Small City in the middle and the recently built headquarters beside it were now in the open for the Blauw Empire to strike. What could be worse than this?
More casualties, of course. Because, as the Blauw Empire’s tanks passed through the destroyed enemy strongholds and defenseless Cities, the helicopters behind finally took to the skies! Their motors roared as they rapidly crossed the same distance in less time, but not that absurdly fast. They were detected by the enemy headquarters the moment they crossed the border, but they were already too busy with the Empire’s immediate victory over their most solid defenses. It… wasn’t supposed to be like this!
But the enemy responded rapidly, and as the Blauw Empire coursed through thousands of kilometers in less than an hour, sending small contingents to give notice of the Blauw Empire’s coming and conquest, the enemy’s reserve troops in their headquarters poured out like crazy and started rushing at the ground forces!
It was a simple view from above. Heian Ciemnosc could see how the enemy used their array formations on their armored vehicles, rushing faster and more smoothly than the Blauw Empire, and were also separating in several waves. They didn’t want to fight the Empire head-on but to once again delay it. As for how much, it wasn’t known. And if anyone would even come, they knew that even less!
Thus, the enemy would traverse 3 times the distance the Empire’s ground forces could in the same amount of time. Like this, just as the enemy was preparing, changing their movement-based array formations to defensive and collision-based for direct confrontation, suicidal-style. The enemy didn’t see the cars and tanks they thought they’d see, but helicopters instead!
The Blauw Empire’s choppers were the known top-notch, some larger, some smaller, but all with the same movement speed and nimbleness, only differentiating in the ammunition and arsenal type. Nevertheless, each was dangerous and a threat to any cultivator in the Second Step who wasn’t well enough based on movement Arts or didn’t have powerful enough Art techniques. But when these faced each other, as it is the case with the enemy’s armored cars, tanks, and helicopters, it could very well be a disordered exchange of ammunition and life.
Unfortunately for the enemy, the Blauw Empire never stupidly fought without having another force or numbers backing them up. Thus, when they were alerted by the headquarters of a sudden Fighter incursion from the west, it was too late, and the enemy didn’t have enough time. All they could see was smoke below the bellies of thousands of Fighters belonging to the Blauw Empire’s ground forces.
But… that wasn’t just smoke… those were the missile contrails they’d been firing since a long distance ago, controlling their speed and direction with difficulty but fine precision!
