Intense Fight
"Aa- AAUGGH- AAAgggh- aaaAAAHH!" Heian Ciemnosc thought Karl was overthinking it, so he made the Vocón Link, which was hidden beneath Karl's back and adhered to his spine, which was unharmed even now, squirm a little as a jab of pain was introduced into Karl's senses. Turning the blond young into almost a dumb idiot, Heian Ciemnosc gave him time to breathe, thus thinking. Karl fearfully shook and blurted, "Ple- pl- pls- please, no more! I'll do it. I will. Just- gulp! Let me..."
Heian Ciemnosc didn’t respond to Karl and continued looking downwards at the blond, his darkest eyes without emotion. Karl took that as a ‘go on’ and took an item out his Covert Space bag with his right mangled wrist. It was a sort of medallion but also looked like a button that was taken off from somewhere. It radiated with pure energy and a creepy sensation, tickling Heian Ciemnosc’s eyes and insides as soon as he saw it.
Vocón Link squirmed a little more but didn’t inflict any pain. The flashes going through Karl’s eyes diminished completely after doing so, and only then did Heian Ciemnosc speak to the young man with whose chest was slowly caved in thanks to his ‘heavy’ right foot still on his chest.
“Here,” Karl said, and with a push of his left thumb, which made him squint in pain, Heian Ciemnosc smelled a bit of blood expelled instantly from Karl’s heart. The 2 Expetres in Heian Ciemnosc’s hands suddenly began to morph. Their bodies were as tall as before, and while their creepy appearance was coming off them, a feeble pure white light emanated from them, outlining their bodies.
The sight wasn’t beautiful, however. The mother showed her ordinary human appearance, but her body was so elongated it didn’t look that human anymore, and only her head exposed he race and any recognizable appearance. Then, the child was just a… baby. He couldn’t even open his eyes as both their figure began disappearing.
They weren’t disappearing like specks of lights or towards the sky or the earth, simply disappearing in a moment as if they were just an illusion. And it was when these figures began to dissipate - that the Teacher yelled out in alarm. “Don’t let it happen. It’s extinction!! Get to it!”
Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh…!
Without any question nor any glare of defiance from his previous orders, the Assistant Teachers and Sub Teachers alike joined hands and softly moved Heian Ciemnosc backwards. An old Assistant Teacher grabbed him by the shoulders and flew, not floated, to the back to leave Heian Ciemnosc in front of the crowd of participants before joining the rest.
Heian Ciemnosc then saw as the thousands of teachers began to work with the Teacher’s hand in an… array formation of sorts!
The Teacher acted as the receptor, just as Heian Ciemnosc was taught and understood. While the Assistant and Sub Teachers were the effectors, with no ‘sub’ prefix in any of them. They were original effectors without any other role. The Teacher closed his eyes and sat cross-legged while the rest stood around Karl and the 2 Expectres, which no longer dissipated in such a strange, quick way.
The Exprectres from the rest of Karl’s body began to float with their creepy black-blue spheres up in the air, slowly forming into shining white bubbles that were the catalyst used by the receptor to help the mother and son find a way out of extinction.
Heian Ciemnosc looked with interest. He was damn sure Alyona nor anyone in the Crimsonbreaking Faction, or even during these few days since he was free of that ‘safe prison’ about the worth and significance of extinction. And as he watched the array formation work, along with the Sub Students and participants, he felt incredibly sorrowful. Like something like just… should never exist, this… extinction.
Shuaaaaaaaaaa~.
After 15 minutes of the show going on, it came to an end. There was about a dozen other blue-black sphere in the young blond man’s person, maybe not everyone formed part of the same murdered family, but most did. As it ended, the figures of the mother and son hugged each other from whatever they had left of their image. The shining white floating spheres went into a ‘V’ formation before treading into nowhere after soaring into the sky, followed by the hugging pair.
“Sigh,” the Teacher sighed after looking at the shining spheres and mother and son duo leaving the place, hopefully, to find peace somewhere in the Wrath Nihility Academy’s Region. But then looked at the young man, still without the ability to move around, trying to ask for help with his eyes and moving about while teachers looked at him.
“What you’ve done is a crime, and it doesn’t from whom you’ve gotten their lives on you. You will be dealt with by the Academy!” The Teacher no longer showed his amiable and easygoing appearance, which was true to his nature. Meaning the Teacher became enraged.
“I’m so- o- oowrry! Karl’s face scrunched up pitiably, somewhat ugly too. He looked up at the Teacher in honest sorry, feeling really bad after seeing the truth. To which the Teacher added, “You don’t the Academy nor Heian Ciemnosc a sorry, that’s not something for us. Now you know it well.”
“I- I- I’ll make it… up for, gulp, for them. I’ll make it up.” Karl struggled to say. His body was hurting, but his position within the Academy was worth more than any physical pain that could fall upon him. The Teacher added once more. “Your pay will be over for the next 3 years, and that's without the Academy’s choice in your punishment, understood?!”
“Y- yes,” Karl nodded like a chicken before losing consciousness and hitting his head against the concrete floor. The teachers looked in silence and complicated, before one of them moved the unconscious body away. Immediately after, the teachers saw with their eyes what they already witnessed with their Spirit Sense. A 4 inches thick hole was carved on the incredibly durable light silver concrete, smooth and without any struggle.
Shaking his head, thinking about Karl, the Teacher hid his amazement and turned to look at Heian Ciemnosc. “Everyone disperse now! There’s still one more fight. Heian Ciemnosc, who would you wish to fight?”
“...” Heian Ciemnosc looked at the Teacher and then at the Sub Student crowd that looked at him strangely before finally looking at the crowd of participants, now with respect flashing in those eyes of all colors and origins.
Turning around to face the other side, Heian Ciemnosc slowly nodded while saying in a calm tone, “What’s after the Ashes Apperception realm?”
Everyone: (๑•́₋•̩̥̀๑)
The Teacher: (-。-;
With the Teacher’s tired face and the hopeless and annoyed crowds’ faces, a person within the whole lot of Sub Students. She raised her hand and spoke while walking through the crowd, which took some time to respond and start making way for her more respectfully than with the previous 2 guys.
“It’s the Spirit Birth realm,” she said. Her voice was soft but loud and contained a strong stubbornness that only people Heian Ciemnosc like would have; battle-lusted fellas. She stopped momentarily speaking until she stepped out of the Sub Student’s line and showed herself to Heian Ciemnosc.
She was not beautiful but was quite attractive. Her pale skin made her fearsome. Her long pale blonde with well separated-looking strands of her hair and a frontal layer of hair covering her forehead and only leaving her eyebrows accentuated her true nature, and it was terrifying despite looking and being 16 years old. She had a more or less flat body, but it also made her look agile and intimidating. She looked like quite a fighter in Heian Ciemnosc’s eyes.

“That realm is the one differing the most between the first 9 realms and it; the 10th realm. And if you fight me well enough, I may show you why,” the young girl said up there and silently walked onto the arena floor. Heian Ciemnosc looked at her, not realizing her cultivation base even after being told its name. Only when she said her current stage did it become more transparent, as if he had gained top notch experience and information about it. “I’m at the 4th stage. My name’s Elena, and I’m from a Low Kingdom. No need to say its name. There are way too many Supreme Kingdoms, let alone Low Kingdoms.”
“Heh, and only those fools, trying to gain some fame and give it back to their Kingdoms. Only you, Heian Ciemnosc, coming from a failed Kingdom, is worth the consideration even without saying its name. It’s an honor to fight an extraordinarily mighty person before they become famous. And tell you what,” Elena suddenly said as if in proposition, took her short halberd out her Covert Space bag and placed it on her shoulders below her nape while boyishly looking at the sky in contemplation. The Teacher shook his head with a soft facepalm at that moment.
“...?” Heian Ciemnosc shook his head, not giving the young girl the satisfaction of asking what’s up with her ‘tell you what’ in the slightest. Elena wasn’t waiting for him to do that, though. She was just debating whether to tell him now or later, choosing to do so now. “If you win, I’ll let you join my club forthwith. There, you will find it much easier to find partners to spar and learn about the world in its fighting form. Warring or dueling, you’ll get the hang of it really fast. I am sure of it.”
“... Then what if I lose?” Heian Ciemnosc felt stupid. If there were clubs in the Academy, and weren’t spoken of for some safety protection, then there had to be a lot. Why would entering one of them be bad? It was plain stupid to believe a club in an organization such as the Wrath Nihility Academy would be ‘bad’ in any way.
“Are you kidding me?!” Elena reacted fast, already 5 meters before him, and leaned forwards with her left hand on her hip and her right hand smacking the short halberd against the light silver concrete. “You are good at everything! Even the randy fellas would recruit you, and if I can get you for my club only, that would be huge merit points for my club, within my club, and the Academy!!”
“...” Heian Ciemnosc was left speechless… so he was a trophy she wanted for her club for her club’s sake, her own sake, and the prestige of the Academy? Dafuq?
Heian Ciemnosc shook his head as if he had become dazed and had just woken up from a silly dream. He looked at the young girl, and the latter said after thinking a bit. “Also, if you win, let’s go and talk on our way back to the Academy. I can teach you a little about the world, but I’m no library. You can only ask me typical things of the Academy, and you’ll be making a good comrade, ain’t that good? But when we fight, be careful. I’m a little special~.”
“Ahem… Oh, I’m actually also somewhat special… err, alright?” Heian Ciemnosc coughed and answered after looking at the Teacher, imploring him with his eyes to just accept. According to the young girl’s words, he was now going to be admitted into the Wrath Nihility Academy, even if he was beaten to a pulp at this very moment. And nobody seemed to care he put a pair of Sub Students in their place in such brutal and ‘inhumane’ ways.
Pum, whoosh.
Heian Ciemnosc’s eyes constricted. Elena’s left fist punched his collarbone, his waist bent, and he was struck and flew backwards like a kite with its strings cut off into the sky. Only, he flew directly backwards. His limbs were hopeless in responding for a little while before finally reacting.
“!” Heian Ciemnosc first lowered his legs. They needed to find a place to stop himself from the punch, which was pretty strong and still affecting him somewhat as his dark Power Energy worked hard to eat away the remnants of it. But just as his body slowed down, his feet sliding through the floor, his eyes constricted once more at seeing Elena’s Power Energy flying towards him!!
It wasn’t a technique, ‘art’ or skill… This was pure Power Energy flying from the body of one’s cultivation base! This was finally what the Sinvonnia Kingdom hadn’t seen for who knew how long!!
The flying Power Energy was the color of the halberd, an orange with some reddish glue. And the halberd was, of course, a Mortal weapon. As it flew directly towards Heian Ciemnosc’s face and forehead, its halberd head was like a surfboard, and the rest of the orange Power Energy with the reddish glue its water, its wave. The halberd head chaotically surfed, up, down, left and right; it went on all angles and crazily about.
As it neared Heian Ciemnosc, it reflected on his retinas as dark Power Energy began to condense on both palms. He raised his arms, elbows folding, and ‘click-pshift’ sounds emanating from his hands and feet. Just as Elena’s Power Energy was 23 meters before him, after being blasted back about 60 meters backwards, Heian Ciemnosc’s eyes shrunk, and his dark Power Energy made a little screen of darkness linked by each of his hands’ fingertips. Not claws.
Crrrasshhuu- tap tap, fwump- pa pah.
The orange Power Energy with reddish glue all over crashed against the barrier, a rectangle shape, and placed at Heian Ciemnosc’s front as he lowered his stance and prepared to receive it. As soon as the orange Power Energy struck his barrier, the halberd heard broke through effortlessly. But it was caught in the middle, and its Power Energy began to be gnawed by the dark Power Energy.
Elena didn’t stay behind to watch and see if she won. She also floated forth, much slower than Heian Ciemnosc’s speed as he was struck to fly backwards, let alone her Power Energy attack, which was much faster than even her superior floating speed; it was still slower than the Expectres’ flight from before and than Heian Ciemnosc’s mix of running and stomps.
Even then, Elena had enough time to run to Heian Ciemnosc and brandish her short halberd, a small stream of translucent Power Energy escaped her right palm as she threw it onwards. It was meant to strike the center of the barrier from below where her Power Energy attack had previously landed.
But Heian Ciemnosc, already with his stance lowered, ‘tripped’ as his body lost balance and his bum met the air, his head falling towards the ground backwards as well. He was mostly upside down, except for his hands which were rapidly and strongly pressing against the floor, which his Claws Out penetrated like gum!
Impulsing his body, his bum to the air and his legs folded, Heian Ciemnosc’s body shot towards the weaponless Elena!
She was as fast and agile as Heian Ciemnosc, so she couldn’t react when he delivered such strange simple, but efficient movements. Heian Ciemnosc dashed more than 10 meters at once. The heaviness of a Middle Kingdom’s laws and nature was felt as he couldn’t go any faster than that. And just as the short halberd hit the barrier of darkness, Heian Ciemnosc’s feet had landed on Elena’s upper-side chests, right beside her armpits but still below her shoulders.
Elena scrunched her face, pain visible on her face and in her eyes as their brown shivered and shrunk a little. But she also reacted fast, and after failing to draw her halberd back, Elena punched down with her upper knuckle joints onto Heian Ciemnosc’s chest. She looked like a kitty, a young girl hitting her bad boyfriend’s chest poutingly. But her movements caused blurs in the eyes of those with even similar cultivation base as hers, including Heian Ciemnosc.
Each of her punches sent pain into Heian Ciemnosc’s senses, and his chest began hurting for real after 2 seconds, equal to about 5 hits with each hand. Yet, their bodies remained in the air. From one part, because of Heian Ciemnosc’s potent bodily strength and the impact of his kick sending her body upwards. But on the other hand, because she quickly encircled his upper thighs, locked her body with his so close together, and began floating with much more might and prowess in her Power Energy than Heian Ciemnosc thought she would have.
It was like her cultivation base gave her Power Energy and every move predominance over Heian Ciemnosc, over his incredibly tough and devouring dark Power Energy. Even though their Power Energies were even matching each other, and Heian Ciemnosc’s purity, toughness, and stability of his Power Energy were slightly above hers, she had this kind of prevalence not even he could get rid of yet.
As soon as Heian Ciemnosc understood this, he began to strike and move on his own to struggle. But it was just the same, as when Elena noticed this one peculiar reaction between her and Heian Ciemnosc, she began abusing it and taking advantage to inflict as much pain and damage on this monstrous person.
Pum pom pom pom, pa pa, pum pom pam…
Heian Ciemnosc wasn’t using his Claws Out to directly scratch her, or she would’ve had many bloody cuts here and there. Her predominant Power Energy wasn’t limitless, and she couldn’t defend all of her body at top capacity and keep hitting him. She would have to choose between defense or offense. Either way would cost her, as striking his body was like hitting her master to spar and be beaten down to a pulp.
Even then, Heian Ciemnosc wasn’t using them since she couldn’t use her halberd, only her Power Energy. Thus, he used his fists and shins to hit her back, sending twinges of pain now and again, which she focused on resisting like a berserker. Feeling no pain nor threat to her life, she kept beating the crap out of Heian Ciemnosc. But so was he beating her up and down as they floated disorderly above the light silver concrete.
Punches, kicks, bites— from the young girl — and yelps of pain resounded for a good while, to the point every spectator was with a semi opened mouth and befuddled eyes. But it was also those eyes which couldn’t be driven away from keep on looking at their ‘aerial’ battle.
Until much later, when about 10 minutes had gone by, and their bodies became so injured that blood came out from the corners of their mouths, did a change happened… as Heian Ciemnosc felt his barrier of darkness deplete itself after eating all of the orange Power Energy attack with a reddish glue, as well as some of Elena’s Power Energy instilled into the Mortal halberd.
The Mortal Halberd came flying into the sky where they were fighting!
