A Little Tour
2 years passed.
After several months, the work that once started with doubt and uncertainty, slowly gained influence and respect as time went on. What was once a land filled with a tiny wisp of desolation due to the short decades since the Region welcomed life into its territory and poor management had become the source of liveliness everywhere.
From large, wide distances between the few, overly sized villages, few towns, only using resource gathering locations to distribute supplies across the land section, became a place where bright green, luscious or obscure vegetation grew, and fauna reappeared. It would still take hundreds of years for Fauna to reappear in the First Step, but it was a work in progress that couldn’t be rushed, only improved.
For the ordinary animals and other lifeforms, Heian Ciemnosc had 2 simple decisions to ferment the growth of the Calatida Region’s south. 1, no entry towards any woods, mountain range, and other landscapes until 300 years later. The objective was to let fauna live and develop in the way only nature allowed them to.
2, his Covert Space bags bled a little. Heian Ciemnosc ‘donated’ billions of seeds from trees to the simplest of flowers. All sorts of vegetation were planted by the inhabitants themselves. These were the simplest and most needed vegetation any ecosystem needed to not just develop, but to start.
All of this would only bear its complete fruit hundreds of years into the future. However, it was necessary. Without such intervention, the Region would still need at least 2,000 years to gradually develop this progress. As for flora from the cultivation world, that would be until tens of thousands of years without any organizations’ explicit, expertly intervention. Even with help, it might take several thousand years.
Of course, the ally organizations had enough to exchange for those resources, but they would lose at least a third of their cultivation resources. Not even Heian Ciemnosc was willing to part with such wealth, especially considering their situation with an unknown enemy in the north.
Although the ‘donation’ Heian Ciemnosc offered was merely ⅓ of those seed types, it took a lot from his herbal Cover Space bags. The garden every alchemist wanted, and even caretakers who wished to feed their Fauna with food they prepared themselves, would have to be delayed. He wasn’t even near the Fourth Step anyway, so it wasn’t an urgent manner.
On the other hand, the Aqualian Drake Sect was smart, and they distributed their ample, overly filled storage of cultivation resources throughout their territory. As for the Forestalress Academy, they were already doing so, and during the first few months after the 3-way meeting, they had even loaned founding to 2 First Step brand-new organizations.
The Academy was fast. No matter how prudish and unconvinced the Aqualian Drake Sect was, they couldn’t lose to the Academy, especially when the good things were happening to only their territory. Thus, the Aqualian Drake Sect put things into motion, and as the supreme commander gave the order for all towns to be cleared out after a few months. The Sect sent their disciples and some Acting Elders with the greatest temperament to deal with these miscellaneous tasks.
With the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s military interventions and slow brainwashing after the immediate shock when they eliminated every hidden cultivator, whether they were protected or not, bringing some inhabitants down in the process. The Set was welcomed with open arms like never before.
The coming of Crimsonbreaking Faction’s elite soldier units leading the rest of the army, from tens of thousands to a couple of hundred thousands, depending on the town’s size and the strategy employed. The army went all-out sometimes, while in others, they formed trapping battling formations so as to not let the enemy escape.
The battles weren’t long-lasting, and the worst situation was when 100 or more hidden cultivators in the supreme-sized towns made their struggle against death. They were prepared, holding numerous deadly array formations and tools in place for a moment like this.
However, the army was prepared. Other than not letting any enemy slip away, the communications were blocked from coming or going during the attacks. After occupying the towns, the army would leave some military units behind to camp somewhat near the towns while the rest continued to either join another military unit, or directly occupy another town.
Like this, months and months went by. Just like the Aqualian Drake Sect sent their disciples and Acting Elders after every town was reported as retaken by the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s commanding assistant, the supreme commander sent the respective auxiliary units to work in said town.
More than necessary auxiliary units set off for each town. They could make use of the overload of auxiliary units and create an official path from the town they were being extra-wheels to turn the gears of the town in question towards the few next in line. Thus, as the army continued retaking the remaining towns, official paths would have already been made halfway done.
The rest of the auxiliary units not belonging to the work in the previous town would depart, and once the next town’s remodeling commenced, the path would connect in a matter of a day or 2. Thereon, more and more days, weeks, and months would pass, with the army rapidly retaking the remaining towns in just a few months with utmost precision and carefulness.
No matter how rash the newcomers had felt once upon a time, after being baptized by the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s elite soldier units, they were changed into top-notch troops. They only lacked experience and a harsh reality reminder. Nothing that heavy punishment from the lightest things couldn’t accomplish.
While the soldier units belonged to the organizations, and they were the true soldier units in this and the upcoming battles, the elite soldier units were like the elders and superiors that the enemy would have.
The Crimsonbreaking Faction’s mobilization and retaking of towns was like the oppressive arrival of new ‘rulers’ to the inhabitants. But with the Aqualian Drake Sect working together, that sensation was numbed, and the inhabitants felt gladdened instead. Their ruling organization was finally paying them attention!
Of course, with time, they’d understand it was the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s leading figure, both organizations’ supreme commander, who placed everything in order. But that wasn’t something Heian Ciemnosc bothered himself with, and he continued planning as the villagers’ retaking was ordered from his mouth a month before the towns were fully retaken.
This time, after learning the elite soldier units’ ways, and being commanded under them, the soldier units acted with more prudence, and only became frantic when there were too few enemies to fight. The military life they imagined, full of glory and resplendence, didn’t welcome them. Instead, it was monotonous. However, as they became used to these days, they noticed their foundation solidifying for seemingly no reason, and a sensation of belonging slowly formed.
Their cultivation path swiftly stabilized, and as time passed, they felt as if they could understand each other better. For the first time in the Calatida Region, and half-a-Region wide army was growing united and stronger together… and their number wasn’t small.
Villages were easier to clean up, although more accidents occurred within this one. Or rather, ‘incidents’ that caused some inhabitants lives. Nevertheless, no excuse was valuable whenever it happened. Heian Ciemnosc personally witnessed the administration of these punishments.
Even when he stopped presenting himself, and he gained both respect and terror from his troops’ hearts and Souls, they still administered the necessary punishment to anyone. Be it the soldier units or elite soldier units, they received the heavy smacking and limitations for a good while. Remembering the pain and reminiscing of their position before failing marked their determination, strengthening it and growing it more resilient.
Nevertheless, after the villages were cleaned up, the auxiliary units were immediately dispatched. With the previous paths, with array formations inscribed below them, the traveling speed from the towns’ paths to the villages, forming official paths towards the latter as they went, the Calatida Region welcomed an even more lively aspect from a worldly view.
Villages would take less time to complete their remodeling before towns, and this was even with the towns’ remodeling starting earlier on. Even then, it wasn’t something that was merely a change of materials of the villagers’ houses, defensive structures, or simply adding an array formation or 2. No. This was a change that immensely redefined the soldier units’ points of view, let alone the inhabitants’.
When the villages and some towns were finished being remodeled by the hundreds of millions, Heian Ciemnosc sent the order to begin building the outposts. These were more or less allocated in the same position of the resource gathering locations. Of course, it wouldn’t be just 5 or so, but 18 outposts across the Southeastern territory.
These outposts would be better armed than any other settlement, except for the Small and Medium City. The army would be stationed here, instead of within the settlements, or camping near them. The outposts could hold, at most, 25,000,000 people besides the ‘toys’ such as armored vehicles and military arsenal and ammunition.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
It is intended for 18,000,000 soldier units, not counting the leading figures, elite soldier units, and 2,000,000 auxiliary units. The other 5,000,000 ‘slots’ are meant for recruits.
Heian Ciemnosc planned to incorporate as many possible candidates as possible. Either from the First Step organizations that grew to dozens under several months, or the settlements whose civilians were constantly tested for cultivation. This was for the semi-long run, and not something Heian Ciemnosc would utilize early on.
These outposts were as large as supreme-sized outposts, but they were designed for cultivators only. On the other hand, the citizens from the settlements, since Heian Ciemnosc didn’t bother trying to implement this to the new First Step organizations since it would’ve been too much for them to accept when all they wanted was to grow more powerful, were sent to the Small and Medium City.
The enemy caused 10,000 casualties in the soldier units, but those 10,000 deceased soldier units were the reason whole villages were saved from annihilation. Not all villages were under such a threat, but when too few enemies can cause that much damage, it brought the soldier units to a much more apprehensive understanding of the enemy.
Like this, in under 2 years, the Southeastern territory suffered a brand-new remodeling process. All sized towns and villages became more defensive, and they had light green protective array formations, and even surveillance array formations to detect suspicious movements that’ll alert both the villagers, townsfolk, and the outposts nearest to them.
The villages now counted with a defensive wall made from Third Step materials, and they had at least 1 cultivation resources shop, and 1 Craftsmaking store. The latter had products that only served First Step cultivators, and healed the lightest injuries and most illnesses that weren’t quick and lethal to act.
There was also a smallish branch building of the Aqualian Drake Sect, where an outer disciple would be in charge with a few others and several dozen Servants. These were miscellaneous missions that Heian Ciemnosc participated in the Wrath Nihility Academy, although not for long.
However, in supreme-sized villages, the walls were slightly taller, bulkier, and the Craftsmaking shop even had pills to aid a cultivator into the Second Step. The supreme commander expected the villagers to find their way into the peak of the First Step in the near future, but lacking techniques and, more importantly, Arts. That was fine. They couldn’t own Arts just because they increase their cultivation base. That’s what organizations were for, more or less.
Heian Ciemnosc wouldn’t give those benefits away. Even then, to let the villagers defend themselves was the organizations’ obligation. Thus, those alchemy products were there to aid the village. However, the Aqualian Drake Sect smallish branches there would have to patrol the place so no ‘rebellious kings and queens’ surfaced. Those matters were bound to happen.
It also served as a possible extra-test for the disciples in charge, as they could only be at the First Step Spirit Rebirth realm peak at most. Additionally, these villages counted with military arsenal for self-defense, directly connecting with the Small City or Medium City. Anti-missile turrets and a few machine guns, with 1 additional artillery gun.
As for towns, they had a taller wall than supreme-sized villages, but less bulky and resistant. The walls also had anti-missile turrets, and several machine guns, with some artillery guns. They also had array formations to ensure their safety, both within and outside, as any town had to allow at lest a few million people to live, although they were mostly desert.
Still, the supreme commander ordered the auxiliary units to keep things safe. And a small garrison of soldier units to accompany them. They weren’t the settlements’ garrisoned units because that would be the townsfolk’s matter in the future to arrange. Of course, the security communities had to be directly linked with the Aqualian Drake Sect.
As for supreme-sized towns, these had 2 launching missiles systems at different extremities to defend the towns from incursions, be it Races or Fauna. Additionally, since towns would provide a home for up to 100,000,000 people, or even more, they were equipped with nature-focused array formations to defend against possible disasters.
The other towns had a few cultivation resources shops and Craftsmaking stores. But a supreme-sized town had dozens of each, and these were up to the Second Step. With the latter allowed to distribute alchemy products that can heal grievous wounds, even with energy or enhanced poisons and mental states. Any mental illnesses won’t drain the civilians’ physical health, too.
Lastly, while the other towns had a small Aqualian Drake Sect branch buildings, with Inner Sect Disciples managing them, the supreme-sized towns had several small branches, with an Acting Elder overseeing everything.
In this way, there were endless villages that were formed with the supreme commander’s ensured protection. Families from the previous villages and those unofficial, ignored villages in the past went on their way to create their own settlement. The latter also were officially recognized, but had to relocate elsewhere.
Some villages were set by one family of 2, ambitious and full of vitality with the invigorating pills the supreme commander’s army distributed weekly. Others grouped with various families and walked away into the wild before choosing their place. Each village’s territory was of at least 500 kilometers, and no other village could be built near it and had to distance itself correspondingly.
It was a lot, but considering the management level the Calatida Region’s south suddenly experienced, it was expected that the peak of the Region’s situation would arrive quickly. All these villages could grow to a supreme-size in less than a century. With invigorating pills served every week like it was the meat or eggs from the past became their highest encouragement.
Any family who walked out of the new, comfortable villages wanted nothing more but to see how, with their hands, the village they founded became a peak-state settlement before dying. With even Humans having between 150 and 200 years of lifespan, it wouldn’t be impossible. Besides, who didn’t want their son or daughter to become a future little legend in the Region? They could dream.
Towns could no longer be built as they were too many, and outposts took the same size as supreme-sized towns, encompassing a large space in the Southeast. However, other towns, which were at least a few thousands of kilometers away from each other, and supreme-sized ones more than 10,000 km from each others.
The supreme commander’s word wasn’t a light thing. Hundreds of soldier units and at least an elite Team followed each new village’s settlers. They aided build their new home, even letting them watch and become picky with how they wanted their house and so on. The defenses such as array formations and military arsenals were placed by the auxiliary units, who became used to these paths and the people living in these settlements.
Even for a town, a few thousand soldier units were enough to build one in a day or a few. Let alone a brand-new village.
As for the Small City, it was nearly completed. It still needed several months to finish, and the boundless military arsenal it must have wasn’t finished, but only 2 years had passed, and the liveliness of the Southeast was now peaceful.
Countless towns and villages were built in under 2 years after the retaking of all settlements. While the auxiliary units were like distant cousins, the inhabitants started learning to appreciate. The soldier units were like big brothers and sisters, cold and strict, but warm inside and soft in their interactions with the inhabitants.
20 supreme-towns, 18 outposts, and 1,700 supreme villages were finished during this time! All that the south lacked was war instruments… Although those would gradually come. Sooner rather than later.
… Atop the Small City’s wall, Heian Ciemnosc stood with his arms behind his back. Ruo Wei, his other Team members, Anastasia, her maids, and Grietta looked at the scenery before them, and at Heian Ciemnosc’s back.
“Boss, why did you ask for us here? We have already been atop the walls.” Clanton spoke after sighing, relaxed. Cara nodded and added in a casual tone, “That’s right. Just ask Clanton how many times he accidentally flashed his wifeys’ bodies to his female teammates. Even Anastasia saw a few young girls, heh heh…”
“You!” Clanton pointed at Cara’s innocent expression with his left index finger. They babbled bullshit for a few seconds before stopping and standing in attention as Heian Ciemnosc turned around without much aura.
“...” He looked at them and shook his head slightly, softly blowing through his nostrils. The Team members softened when they saw Heian Ciemnosc’s appearance, and Ruo Wei even opened her watery eyes wide. She couldn’t help but gently ask him, “Aww, what is it, blackie? Do you miss your kitty, Cici? What is it?”
Heian Ciemnosc walked to Ruo Wei, who lightly cupped his jaw, but he softly parted her wrists away after letting her caress his overly pale face for a bit. He finally opened his overly pale red lips to speak. He was quiet, and even lovely, somewhat. “No, I just decided to bring everyone with me.”
Then, as if thinning of something, Heian Ciemnosc said, as he turned to look at Grietta, not embarrassed like a motherfucker, “I promised Tania she’ll be my girlfriend for a few years after returning. Alyona warned me, so I know I can fulfill that much. Thus, she might already be bathing with half the elite soldier units with her face masked.”
“...” Grietta shook her head, feeling helpless but happy simultaneously. Tania had always been lonely despite her numerous, and talented, fuck buddies which Tania recently tarted sharing with her. Tania didn’t have someone special from the beginning, and neither did she now. As such, Grietta was content to know Tania will get a taste of love. Maybe that’ll impulse her to want to find it.
It was apparent that Tania felt nothing for Heian Ciemnosc. Other than his damn body and hugely, long cock. Grietta couldn’t blame her, ah. However, things like that only matter when one is either a crazy sex-addicted or pervert, or with their partner’s contentment, which was rare.
It wasn’t difficult to explain, Grietta and Elyor’s way involved anyone who could bring her to ecstasy, or who had desire in their eyes when just seeing her for the first time without her beauty showing, so to speak. On the other hand, Heian Ciemnosc and his women focused on the intimacy between each other and not just anyone who set their eyes on Heian Ciemnosc. At least not anymore.
If it wasn’t for the closeness and status that Alyona has to her female subordinates, they would only appreciate Heian Ciemnosc’s incredible handsomeness. On the other hand, Grietta was softly pushed into a capable person’s arms, or various, by Elyor, yet they did not welcome another person into their lives.
Heian Ciemnosc looked at his Team members before gazing into his daughter’s eyes. His overly pale red lips moved, “There’ll be a time I won’t have anyone by my side. To accompany me, chat with me, compare cultivation viewpoints with me… I will make use of the time I have left where I’m not alone. So, don’t bitch around and come with me. It won’t take that long.”
Heian Ciemnosc turned around and faced the same direction he was looking at earlier. His words seemed to drift amidst the darkened sky and setting sun, “We’ll be back to see the fruits of our achievements, and then… We’ll gain our spots in the higher-ups of the Crimsonbreaking Faction!”
“...!” The Team members behind him had their eyes glinting, fists clenched, and hearts palpitating like fluttering love. Anastasia’s pitch-black eyes grew a radiant luster, while her creamy rosy skin slightly flushed.
…
