Tap... step.

"Buuurp, aah~," after having finished everything up, Ciemnosc burped a bit long and with his lips shaking as his head even jolted backwards little by little. He wasn't reacting out of the 'delicacy' he just had. And from his mouth, Power Energy's vestiges even came out as he could feel his body, after so long and once again, bloated as if he had something wrong within his body and had to deal with it.

“!” His eyes opened wide. Ciemnosc realized that he was fully bloated with Power Energy! He had so much that he felt uncomfortable in his body. Risgash’s cultivation base was by far the strongest he had taken ‘a bite’ from, though he fully devoured the latter’s body anyway.

‘I gotta- no! Agh, first things first.’ Just as Ciemnosc wanted to go burrow himself in the sand or something, in the dirt in the distance, and cultivate with arrays hiding him from any possible future pursuers as he would have to stop for an unknown amount of time in order to break through to the next realm, Ciemnosc first saw the motorbike in the distance standing still and safely waiting for him to come back and use it again.

As such, after leaving the place where a living being used to lay on the ground and slowly being devoured, with none of its corpse remaining and the filth having been dealt with by a certain someone’s dark Power Energy, Ciemnosc then took a look at the elder’s Covert Space bag, which added a total of 3 after this long while from the last few hours from his loot this whole time.

Now, Ciemnosc had 8 Covert Space bags for anything and another 8 Covert Space bags for currency, allowing him to gather much more money now if he had any as of right now with his current riches amounting to barely a couple thousand Powerful Stones without counting his Supreme grade ones. Risgash also had 12 Supreme Powerful Stones, which didn’t really seem that much considering that Ciemnosc now had a couple hundred of them.

But after going through the rest of Risgash’s Covert Space bag, Ciemnosc saw that it had many materials that he needed just right to end up repairing his commanding vehicle to a brand new state! Which was, of course, very necessary for the current fugitive that is Ciemnosc.

Step step step step step, step step step…

Rushing towards the motorbike, Ciemnosc was already wearing a new set of clothes made with his Mother’s style, clean and smelling just like home. As for the few others that were all torn apart by the previous battles and situations, he would just have to repair them later. He was their creator and his Mother’s ‘pupil’ so it wasn’t going to be any difficult for him to do.

‘Let’s see, ah… uh…’ Arriving at the motorbike, Ciemnosc then began to take the Synergized Equatrend Mobilizers that were toasted from their insides and with a tool alike a screwdriver in his right hand. He had great dexterity as he opened both of them for all of what they could be opened. And with a few quick checks to look at where to begin, Ciemnosc then nodded slightly while putting both of them piled up, before beginning to draw on them at the same time and as if connected.

Sitting cross-legged, Ciemnosc began using his Inscription Pen, slowly but very simply forming back the array necessary for these incredible devices to get to work again. But like never before, with his much better and more efficient array formation inscription. Also adding a few changes and improvements, here and there to both Synergized Equatrend Mobilizers.

When he was finished with the most important pieces, the core of the commanding vehicle and any armored car and usable vehicle for the major organizations for that matter. Ciemnosc then began working on the rest that formed his commanding vehicle. As well as re-doing some of the components that had to be taken out because they were practically beyond repair, and created them on the spot once again with his forge and his Crafting capabilities.

In no time at all, Ciemnosc had already formed arrays to warn him and protect him from any nearby visitor before even starting to engross himself in repairing his commanding vehicle, which was to take a real struggle and sometimes even when it was him who was doing the job. Though those arrays surrounding him while he repaired his commanding vehicle weren’t that large and took away some of his Inferior grade Powerful Stones to be set up. And he didn’t have the time nor resources to just lay ‘mines’ of such arrays all around, he went on it with what he had.

Repairing and creating what needed a fix and what needed to be replaced began to be taken care of by Ciemnosc, who could be seen going in and out of the commanding vehicle from time to time, but taking a long ‘time’ for every time he went in, before taking just a little below a minute long outside only to go back outside.

Other times, he had to wait for one of the components that had to be created to replace the irreparable parts that needed Ciemnosc’s attention, as it wasn’t like there was a thing such as automation and he could only rely fully on himself during these urging times. It was bound to take quite a few days for that matter.

And after that, all else that Ciemnosc had to do was to find a good spot to bury himself, as these plains only had hills at most, and they weren’t even medium sized so to speak, so a cave or an underground hideout was out of the question. He could only hide like a bunny but with only one entrance and exit, making it really dangerous. But also leaving Ciemnosc without any other choice; he couldn’t hesitate in his choices now; not now.

***

On the second day after Ciemnosc escaped from the Self-Mutilating Honores Sect, at the sect’s territory. In the morning around 8 PM.

“... … …” Today was no longer as explosive and loud as before, as it has been for the last couple of days for all those that were in the west of the sect’s territory, one large chunk of the entire west was being taken under vigilance, and whoever entered the stadium that was being mostly covered up wouldn’t return even when they were elders.

It was noticeable that something had gone wrong, but that wrong was still understandable. It was just that it had become a sudden deathly place where barely any person would dare enter even a person with an elder-like position. As for acting elders, those that remained, or clergy elders from the 4 major organizations who came to the Self-Mutilating Honores Sect, all so that Ciemnosc could be successfully trapped.

However, in the end, most of these clergy elders and acting elders, and even elders and enforcer elders, and so on of the 4 major organizations ended up hiding for the first and 2nd days that the sudden turmoil began. Now that it was the 3rd day, many more of the hidden acting elders and elders came out from hiding, they began to rearrange everything and assess the situation.

It wasn’t good, for starters, the entire reason and target this whole thing began and ended up resulting in such awful and tremendously disastrous casualties and damages, Ciemnosc, had surely successfully escaped by now. And the worst was that it wasn’t known where to, as there were 4 different options that were probable, with the ‘rebelling’ schism prepared way too well.

There was still the confusion from having so many fellow disciples and higher-ups suddenly turning on them, but not only that but also killing those who were just now part of their very own people; their brothers and sisters and definitely what could be called their family figures left and right.

All of them, as if something. Some clicking, some switch turned them astray; they all just began attacking to kill their brethren and paternal and maternal figures. With their slouched backs and hanging low necks with their dropped heads, this depression could be seen all over the 4 major organizations’ members; as in this whole ordeal, it was to either kill or be killed.

Those who killed were washing in their brethren, family, or even their partner’s blood while they also saw the many who got killed on the floor and ground, down the streets and in some houses, before being taken away and dragged over, all just to be incinerated into ashes. They were now really confused, what was what and why…

And for those who got killed, some that passed by the corpses that were at least with their face visible up, or those who had to move corpses around and ended up seeing the faces of said corpses, all of them were able to see the same thing: disbelief and hopelessness as they were dying.

Some probably saw their own brother, sister, or the like suddenly turning around or suddenly making a move, and ending the lives of these corpses’ bodies back then. Some others might have died without even knowing how or when. But as they died, they seemed to understand, and a strong bout of confusion and ignorance could be seen washing their deathly stiff faces.

“... Hey, hasn’t it been real quiet the last few minut-” From a nearby building, on its rooftop, a few core disciples were mingling with some inner and outer disciples, all too tired and pensive to care about their status anymore. But just as one of the core disciples spoke, an outer sect disciple spoke after standing up and crazily pointing with his right arm to the covered-up stadium

“Holy shit! Look all, there are people coming out, finally! It’s the sect masters and pastor. We are saved!” As the outer core disciple shouted, the others stood up with the core disciples becoming a little angry over one of their own being shut up by a simple and mere outer sect disciple. But when they all looked at the stadium, the light seemed to return right back into their eyes.

…In the distance, there were indeed people coming out of the stadium at its topmost arena floor, where the elders and Craftspeople around were able to finally take the extra bleachers and walls off after a whole day’s effort, which was a lot considering the thousands of top notch Craftspeople and dozens of Obsidiafying realm cultivators working together.

But that was all they could take off from the stadium. Anything else was covered up by ice and nobody who touched would live for long if they weren’t in the Obsidiafying realm and received quick detoxification pills for the Water element’s poisoning or at least for countering some ice effects with those pills containing an Earth element or Fire element to themselves.

As such, even now as everything seemed to be over, the visible arena floor had its sealed-up icy hole no longer sealed, and many began to come out of it one at a time. They were notoriously in the upper echelons of the 4 major organizations, which many could see. But they weren’t flying all their way up, nor were they in high spirits.

Also, compared to the whole lot that flew into the stadium that day, the number of people that came out wasn’t even half of that number. It was…a terrific sight to behold as it unfolded before their eyes and crumbling minds.

“... Agh, that damned Li Tong… Dammit, DAMN IT!!” Coming out of the hole made through Ciemnosc days ago, the sect master of the Self-Mutilating Honores Sect said while being helped up by elder Tin, their Power Energy reserves were really depleted, even needing to be helped as if they were ordinary middle aged men and women with back pains and problems all year long.

Whoosh, whoosh whoosh, whoosh whoosh whoosh…

While they were coming out, and as sect master Holoriu spoke, his words reached those acting elders, clergy elders and elders and enforcer elders of the 4 major organizations. The faces of 3 of those became hardened. Was it this all about treason?! Was there actually a force powerful enough to do this?! And how could they dare to do it right when they were in the biggest tiger’s territory from all possible scenarios?

But, there were 1 of those major organizations who felt like their world was crumbling, as their hearts were already shaken and their minds in turmoil when they saw the layers of ice come to be and wrap up almost the whole stadium on the very first day. And it was even worse than the image of so many of their people getting to kill the other, as this meant their sect’s upper echelons and higher-ups were in danger inside the stadium for them to build up such powerful, potent barriers of ice.

Whatever reason it might be that they were forced or just any possibility of why they employed such an art, it had to be bad for them if they really had to. But after the ‘rebellion’ escaped from 4 different angles, all they could do was wait.

And the day had finally come, however… right away hearing their grand elder, respected by all despite her strictness, her not favorable ugly image at all, and her cruel training that made even the kinda white, blue, and green haired beauties and handsome ones end up crying; she was still their respectable grand elder who always showed up to protect them when almost wars situations erupted left and right.

Yet, as the sect master of the strongest major organization mentioned her, the beauties and a couple of pretty boys around couldn’t help but start trembling as their white skin began paler, their faces panicking already and their eyes imploring. It was as if they were ready to submit to the Self-Mutilating Honores Sect, while the eyes that its sect master gave to them were not helping either.

“That is enough, cough… of scaring my people here, don’t you think, sect master Holoriu?” From below and while she got out of the arena’s floor hole, the Preferential Light Justice Sect’s sect master appeared, letting its members feel a bit lighter. But their sect master gave them a completely rebuking gaze, as she obviously noticed their response when just hearing sect master Holoriu speak a name and curse out.

“... Sect master Yolin, too many of our elders and acting elders have all died under your sect’s 2 criminal acts, and only one of them lies dead now…” Sect master Holoriu said after gazing at sect master Yolin for a good while, her wonderful white-icy-like dress riddled with some gapes revealing her thighs, knees, and shins, while bloodstains were abundant though in a small size.

“That’s right, sect master Yolin.” Moribund Yearning Cult’s pastor, pastor Erquiles, said before continuing with a slightly breathy tone. “The Eagerburning Flames Sect might even lose one of their ancestors and their grand elder. How cruel is that?! If there isn’t something done to quell this unsatisfactory sudden betrayal by your own people, then we wou-”

“Careful with your words, pastor.” No longer holding it in, grand ancestor Pesela. Who was being supported by another 3 elders of the Preferential Light Justice Sect alone with grumbling facial expressions as they held this traitor up; said with her eyes falling deathly on the severely injured pastor Erquiles. And just like her stares from before without any words, even as her skin was so pale right now, grand ancestor Pesela gave pastor Erquiles something to shut the hell up for.

“These are my sect’s matters, and my people have nothing to do with your grand elder’s betrayal! Don’t think nobody knows who is the more capable one in your own major organization, sect master Holoriu.” A breach had finally opened, and the eyes of those dozen or so remaining upper echelons for each major organization opened a bit more upon realizing things were falling apart as sect master Yolin showed her stance on protecting her sect’s grand ancestor.

‘Yolin…’ Tiringly wagging her head to look at her sect master, grand ancestor Pesela looked at Yolin, whose right profile face seemed pale with the sun at her back. Those images, from those scenes where grand elder Li Tong even had to end up sacrificing herself even as she was still having a lot to give from within her only so that she, the sect’s grand ancestor, wouldn’t die. Yet almost failing, and… and if it wasn’t for sect master Yolin who even ended up protecting her while the other major organizations’ upper echelons struck her over and over again.

Yet, even as she could retaliate from those strikes, and finish those upper echelons’ lives very easily she didn’t retaliate with a single hit and only covered her body for lecherous thoughts. However, that of course ended up attracting even more and more upper echelons who were more than glad to find a beautiful punching bag to release their anger and shame on.

And how in the end, large snakes of ice made their way through the air everywhere as the grand elder’s Power Energy depleted with a last cruel burst from her body to her immediate surroundings, killing many elders, enforcer elders, and acting elders, clergy elders. As well as almost killing the grand elder and 1 ancestor from the Eagerburning Flames Sect who wasn’t acting like the rest of that sect’s upper echelons.

It all happened just so that the grand ancestor of the Preferential Light Justice Sect could survive, and now here she was, about to be killed off in the end by the ‘angry’ parties?! How dare they! This could of course not make grand ancestor Pesela want to go all out and bring some with her as well! She might not be half a step into the next, mythical and never achieved realm, but she could at the very least kill a few more with her own sacrifice.

However, 2 major organizations were really fanning up the flames, and 1 one of them tried to down level and protect the remaining ‘criminal’ alive with everyone’s eyes furious; including the Preferential Light Justice Sect’s members that were outside this whole time. The quiet major organization at this moment spoke out, quelling the flames of these 3 major organizations from getting any hotter so as to not burn each other.

“Right now, you want to force one of us to do as you wished?!” The Eagerburning Flames Sect’s sect master Farno intervened at this point. His eyes were looking at the Moribund Yearning Cult’s pastor and Self-Mutilating Honores Sect’s sect master, his eyes were as if showcasing that he did see their attempts to lure his sect into going ‘into the frontlines’ of that fight, and hence ended with the most casualties in the end.

“...” On the other hand, sect master Yolin looked at him with a calm face, and her eyes fully opened, but also in thanks for stepping in at this moment, for her sect held the least of value at this moment. However, his next phrase, for some reason, made her feel betrayed for a moment before she could only acquiesce as she calmed down and cooled her head off; she was so visibly changed from her past self from just days ago…

“Ciemnosc is obviously still not in our hands since everyone arriving here from outside bearing wronged, long faces. Can’t you even take a look at your own people at this time? I even have to deal with what you made my people do, stupid people! And you’re here trying to dwindle our forces?! We don’t even know what grand elder Jing Zhu’s strength is, and comparing the possible long term contact she has had with grand elder Li Tong, grand elder Jing Zhu might very well have broken through to the next realm for all we know!”

“Don’t you see it yet?! While you try to dwindle our most powerful men and women any further, they are already achieving what no one was able to, even in our ancient history, reach up to!!” Sect master Farno’s words worked fast, as they were the most obviously important things in everyone’s mind right now. Because it was right, Ciemnosc’s body for study had to be taken or taken sooner than later, and definitely before the ‘rebels’ could get it for themselves!

“Now! You,” sect master Farno pointed at an elder, who was looking on with a dazed, lazy face hanging down. But when the elder was pointed at by sect master Farno’s right index finger, the elder became panicky and gulped down one. Sect master Farno added after gaining everyone’s attention and putting it onto the elder, “Tell us what has been happening these 3 days after the morning of the first day.”
