Chapter 777 — The Crimsonbreaking Faction Is Crazy!

The Crimsonbreaking Faction Is Crazy!

When the transportation effect receded and opened the physical world to the 9 Fleets flying through a seemingly endless tunnel that ended abruptly. The Fleets reappeared in the water from a large distance away to the set positions they planned beforehand. They brought with them a terrific amount of electric blue energy as violet dust flew upwards and immediately disappeared, followed by a black smoke trail from their stern as they moved a few hundred meters forth before stopping.

The electric blue energy was from the thunderstorm from before. By inertia, as soon as the warships stopped, the electric blue energy surrounding them immediately shot forth. It wasn’t a coincidence these were facing an enemy defensive settlement with their bow, as it lashed out forwards and landed on them. The enemy was immediately blown to pieces, with only a few charred remains left behind as everything else turned to ash and dust.

The notion was too quick, even for Third Step cultivators, let alone the auxiliary units and citizens working in those defensive structures. When the enemy finally awoke and responded to the sudden transportation of more Crimson Fleets, they were already under heavy fire by the newcomers. The bitter struggle they had, just to not become explosions under the Chief’s forces, became despairing wills with the new ones.

… Before, and once again. When the time came where the Crimsonbreaking Faction prepared to continue the war, just after a month since the start of the war, the eastern ports in the Turtle Hiding Region set off underwater. Their objective was to move towards the easiest Regions they could conquer. Furthermore, these were neighbors and even collaborated with other northwesternmost island Regions to plot against the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory.

What more could a leader like Heian Ciemnosc want? With all these more than obvious, and even despising, blatant cooperation between 9 Regions, the navy moved underwater. They didn’t do it alone, and this time, Alejandro wasn’t used as a simple tank or weapon of massive destruction. He brought his new subordinates and pals around to guide the navy through the deepest levels underwater.

Alejandro wasn’t an overlord, but with Heian Ciemnosc’s backing, and a few bribing sessions with a few Dark Blood Pills, he became a favorite of many Faunae. Now that so many years passed since Alejandro also made a name for himself with his own… fins, it was time to use it.

The navy couldn’t lower their depth as low as physically possible because it belonged to the family Faunae who had ruled the Stormy Calm Sea’s waters for millions of years. Nevertheless, Alejandro guided the navy just above those territories, which were about a third of the Stormy Calm Sea’s volume, starting from the bottom floor.

Some peak Universe realm Faunae family leaders peeked out of their slumber or hideout to observe the navy. Those few billion crew members all worked together, exciting the curious Faunae. However, their appetite smoked thinly after remembering the aura Alejandro’s owner casually showed a while ago. Meaning, a couple of decades ago.

They followed the navy a little, even asking a few terrified citizens and cultivators a few things. The engineers didn’t dare come out and watch the mini-Kingdom sized behemoth. On the other hand, the only golden clothed engineer communicated with some Fauna family leaders a little.

When the navy finally arrived at the Stormy Calm Sea’s northwest section, they prepared for a few days before finally shooting upwards. Their warships soared through the water’s surface, immediately destroying hundreds of merchant fleets navigating between the islands Regions and the other 6 island Regions.

Even the Supreme Battleship warships flew a few hundred meters with their keel separating from the water’s surface. When this all happened, it was still midday. The enemy in the defensive structures were lazying around, when a whole load of materials and merchant fleets were turned to waste.

Before they could respond accordingly, missiles flew towards them, eliminating hundreds of coastal defenses in the first minute. Nevertheless, although the enemy guarding the targeted Regions’ shores and beaches were astounded, and many were rapidly destroyed, some acted quickly. They put up a grand array formation before returning fire, expecting to last a few hours before they received support.

However, the Crimsons weren’t going all-out. The enemy could tell by how the Crimsons only launched missiles when they were caught off guard, unprepared, and defenseless. Now that their grand array formations were activated, something they exchanged and used up so many resources to achieve, they realized that the Chief’s navy wasn’t surprised or frustrated.

Instead, the Fleets took a defensive stance, as if they were the ones ambushed in the middle of the sea. They protected all their angles, and even a few Frigates turned 180 degrees, activating a heavy gravity array formation to twist their bullets and shells flying underwater to hit the enemy’s defensive barriers after shooting through underwater. These protected their Fleets’ underside.

The enemy was first taken aback by this design, as it was rare to see such strategies outside space battles, but it didn’t bother them. What they weren’t aware of was that those bullets, which first flew through the Elemental Water Eye barriers, became sharper and gained more power through their trajectory before smashing against their barrier.

At times, when the enemy protective array formations dwindled for just a second, the horrendously well-trained and disciplined navy shot through the protective barriers and blasted citizens manning their arsenal, especially missile launching systems. Merely a few minutes passed like this, with both sides gaining only a stalemate as Frigates, Destroyers, and even a couple of Cruisers were gradually destroyed.

While the Crimsonbreaking Faction lost warships, their crew members and soldier units were prepared. Although they lamented their warship’s destruction, especially those within the few destroyed Cruisers, they hurried to their Fleet’s Carrier and waited underwater, waiting for the opportune moment.

The cultivators didn’t have a problem resisting there, while the citizens were either constantly aided or used techniques they were taught in the military. Some were too panicked to do so, as a Carrier’s keel is far underwater, even more than a Supreme Battleship warship. The pressure was doable for their trained bodies, but the sensation, although not new, added to their stress levels during the battle.

But this was how things had to be. No citizen was supposed to become a war god or goddess in the first second of their first battle. The battle continued, spanning over 4 Regions’ sea territory, of which 3 were 1* Regions, and the other a larger-than-most 1* Region.

The 3 eastern ports consisted of 9 Fleets. For this operation, the Chief targeted the islands Regions, which were between the other 3* Region in the Stormy Calm Sea, the Non-Presentable Calm Region, and the rest of the northwestern Regions. The islands Regions were the ‘triplet’ Cas, Ca, and Bel 1* Regions. They were the smallest of all Regions in the Stormy Calm Sea.

The other, larger-than-most, 1* Region was a little northeast of the Bel Region, and was nearly the islands Regions in size, the Fanto Region. These were the targets for the continuation of the war. The northwestern Regions were the ‘poorest’ Regions in the Stormy Calm Sea, but as irony had it, they were the most populated.

Cas was the westernmost island Region, while Ca was the central island Region, and Bel the easternmost island Region. For the battle to conquer these, and the Fanto Region, the eastern ports deployed 2 Fleets to Cas’s southwest. Another 3 Fleets spread throughout Ca’s south, between it and the 3* Region’s northern shores, 3 Fleets to Bel’s east, and 1 to the southeast of the Fanto Region.

The only one sent to the Fanto Region had to be the ballsiest of all Fleets, as they’d receive the immediate firepower of an entire Region for themselves, at least for the first several minutes. And indeed, after the Fleets soared from underwater, the Fleet facing an entire 1* Region was met with a bombardment that directly sank 15 of its Frigates.

However, they only lost their warships in the beginning, and they didn’t lose a single Cruiser, albeit they did lose 2 Destroyers before the western ports showed up like lightning striking the island Regions. The enemy defensive structures were blasted with unrestorable holes in their grand array formations.

When the western ports’ Fleets made their appearance, the northwestern Regions were already aware of the situation with the islands Region and the Fanto Region. Although it was comical that the Chief sent 1 Fleet to the Fanto Region, the situation was dire for the other 3 Regions.

Just as the other northwestern Regions’ leading figures were finally meeting to debate their involvement. After all, they all received benefits and faster merchandise due to the islands Regions, and the Fanto Region was a literal shield facing the Turtle Hiding Region’s direction. Just then, the western ports’ Fleets zapped into action!

The mere appearance of another 9 Fleets left them startled. The targeted Regions haven’t even received confirmation about the information of the Crimsons’ remaining naval Fleets’ whereabouts when the answer was presented before themselves.

Just as they were heavily returning bombardment and barrage of bullets to the Crimson Fleets in their sea territory, the remaining 9 Fleets appeared, distributing to aid the first 9 Fleets already in battle.

The navy deployed its suddenly transported Fleets to 4 between Fanto and Bel Regions, 1 Fleet west of Cas’s, to support the other 3 Fleets already in battle. Another 2 to Fanto’s east, another to Fanto’s north, and the last 1 between the Inunda, Tase and Fanto Regions.

The Inunda Region was a 2* Region above the islands Regions, and the Tase Region was between the Protes 2* Region to its north, and Fanto Region to it south. When these Fleets appeared, these Regions all became alarmed, wondering if they were about to be attacked as well. Just a few minutes have passed before the overall war re-started. Each battle became intense in more than 1 way.

… In the sea between Bel and Fanto Regions. 4 Fleets rapidly moved to Fanto’s west and southwest after spending 10 minutes decimating any incoming resources from the enemy’s further inland. As a 2* Region, with too little time since the fall of the other 2 2* Regions, the Chief’s forces’ enemies still didn’t know to overstock their coastal defenses with supplies.

These 4 Fleets were connected with a communications system and channel their Chief created after exiting seclusion. However, there was an additional spot of an Admiral. This one belonged to the Fleet suddenly transported here, between the other Regions slightly up north from these 4 Fleets.

Nevertheless, they silently continued bombarding lightly, the same as the 4 Fleets rushing towards the overall western coasts of the Fanto Region, with one of them even sneaking towards its north between 2 close-by shores with the Tase Region. In one of the Carriers, an Admiral shouted after receiving information from his commanding assistant, slamming the holographic panel before his commander’s seat.

“Is the engineer prepared yet? What is he waiting for there?!” The Admiral’s words attracted the other Admirals, of which 2 were citizens. One of them spoke up after moving a few things on a panel with his fingertips, a citizen Admiral. “Knowing this engineer, I think we should rush forward immediately. We’ll draw more firepower, but it’ll be worth it. Besides, they’ve done enough sacrificing. We still need to defeat the enemy here fast…”

The other Admirals became worried. They crossed their arms, as if it was an Admiral-certified gesture, and even the Admiral who shouted fell pensive before saying to the other Admirals. “Hey, W3. Since you’re already half-way there, drop your comrades whenever you can, I’ll drop mine as soon as we’re in embarking range. See you from my comrades’ eyes at the shores!”

With that, the Admiral’s holographic image turned vacant but still present within their connected channel. The other Admirals nodded. The same happened to their holographic figures, becoming offline as their 4 Fleets rushed forwards, but the other Fleet up north remained stagnant.

The Tase, Inunda, and even the Protes Regions’ leading figures sat in a meeting room near the southern shore in the Tase Region. They could vividly hear the warships moving through the water, let alone the exchange of firepower between their semi-allies and the Chief’s navy. In their meeting room, they were a little sweaty as they engaged and became heated.

SLAM!!

“Quiet!” Suddenly, one of the leading figures said, showering the room with his Universe realm 3rd stage cultivation base, the second highest here. He broke down a table. Then, he looked at everyone, who no longer bashed each other to make clear whether it is their moral duty or their self-preserving choice to do one ting or the other. Then, the leading figure spoke.

“We have to decide. You’ve seen the Chief’s message, right? This black monster isn’t… I don’t think he’s planning to only scare us. If that was the case, he wouldn’t have achieved this much after arriving at this border Kingdom. And with the Heraxle Clan promoting him, he can do whatever he wants to us, its subjects!”

“Elder Brother is right,” another leading figure, a female, said as she walked nearer to the table and commented. She looked at everyone and hesitated before finally saying in a semi-quivering voice, “But we can’t think of making a counterattack now. Not even the Turtle Shell or Weeping Viper Regions.”

“No! We have to remain together!” Another leading figure said, slamming the table with a Universe realm 2nd stage cultivation base. He gathered a little momentum and roared as he faced the female purple-skinned Demon, “If we don’t make a different choice now, we’ll follow those 2 Regions’ fallen destiny. We won’t be able to defend ourselves again, and our 3* Region neighbor won’t help unless we can offer them as much as the Chief can after conquering our people!”

“Shut up!” The first leading figure to speak shouted. He surpassed the other person’s aura and said with a severe tone, “That’s a nice thought, one that would’ve worked. Unfortunately, we are too late for that. We wanted resources and got half of them. We were planning to wait for decades until it was our turn to face the Crimsons? Or hope our big neighbor would defend justice and fight for love? Bullshit! We’re now all alone. You better hole up in your very own land, because there’s nothing that can stop the Chief’s forces from advancing to our Regions at their very own pace.”

“… … …” The meeting room was utterly silenced, with a touch of tragedy in between their faces and hearts. The leading figure exhaled sightly. Closing his eyes, he sharply breathed in. When he opened them, they became determined as he began, “I propose we allow anyone here who wishes to surrender to do so. But I won’t let my Tase Region suffer without a fight, or lose.”

“To tell the truth, I don’t think it is a… horrendous idea, forming part of the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory.” The leading figure’s attitude was more calm and a little casual as he said those words. But then, he changed to his determined expression as went, “But this is my homeland. I was born here, and though I fled before, I won’t let my Region lose their sovereignty over a barely 100 years old champ who hasn’t tasted a loss yet. My heart is my Region!”

“Well said, Elder Brother!” - “It is… sad… for the islands Regions, but we would just decimate our forces without achieving a real victory against the Crimsons.” - “That’s right. Not even a 3* Region’s forces, even from other Existential Sixth Step organizations, could deal with the Chief. We would only make the path easier for the Non-Presentable Calm Region.” - “Damn it all… Sigh. Even if we must change roles and bow beneath someone else… I won’t let my Region become the game other parties want to devour.” - “Let’s fight!” - “Fight!” - “For the Stormy Calm Sea!” - “Haaaah!”

Meanwhile, as the leading figures that didn’t belong to the Fanto Region, which was about to face its catastrophe to a quick, first surrender from the ongoing war after a brief pause, the sea territory to its south waved.

GURGLE GURGLE GURGLE… POH POH POH POH…

The lonely Fleet, slowly speeding towards the Fanto Region’s southern beaches, finally gradually increased its speed forwards. As it continued to send shells into the sky, letting them gain weight as they soared before shooting even faster downwards to the enemy defensive structures, the water behind the Fleet softly surged.

SPLAAAAAAASHH, SPLASH, SPLAAAAASHHHH~~~!!

Behind the Fleet, which was slowly increasing their moving speed to maximum, a tremendously enormous Fauna soared. A second later, slightly smaller Fauna rushed into the sky before slamming their bellies towards the beaches. The prepared defenses and traps against embarking soldier units were like light pops from plastic on the Faunae’s bodies.

After they ‘neutralized’ the traps, the Fleet finally entered its maximum speed and only spent 1 minute before countless figures flew forth, and a few hundred Frigate spaceships came out of the Carrier and Supreme Battleships onto the beaches.

The Faunae had some trouble getting back up. They were barely at the Universe realm and only agreed to aid the Fleet to disembark their troops, not to fight a Region. Thus, the engineer in charge of the eastern ports gained an enormous advantage before anyone else. Even the Fleets bombarding the coasts on the islands Regions and other sides of the Fanto Region were still amidst closing in.

STEP! STEP! STEP! STEP! STEP! STEP! STEP! STEP! STEP! STEP! STEP!…

On the beaches where the Fleet where the eastern ports’ golden clothed engineer was in, two well acclaimed young women showed up before everyone’s eyes as their troops continued rushing forward. Anastasia stopped first, followed by Molto half a second later. Molto looked at Anastasia and directly asked, “Miss?”

“Let’s work together and really close this time. If we don’t conquer this by tomorrow’s night, the neighbors might decide to do more than turn their lights on…” Anastasia quietly said as she furrowed her eyebrows. Although the comment was slightly comical, Molto understood Anastasia was heavily pondering what to proceed with. She waited until Anastasia nodded at her and relayed to her through Spirit Sense.

“Let’s separate my few hundred thousand in Companies with 4,000 of your shadows. When your remaining shadows return, we’ll obliterate the islands Regions while the navy forms the blockade. Let’s hurry! I want the Fanto Region’s young leader’s head. He once spoke badly of my Aunty Tania.” Anastasia’s eyes glinted bloodthirst. Molto felt a proud twinge in her heart as Anastasia flew forth at her maximum speed.

Molto’s figure inconsistently moved on the spot before blurring into thin air and disappearing. However, a few seconds later, an afterimage-like, blurry shadow under the night sky traveled left and right and then back and repeated in a triangular fashion around Anastasia. Subsequently, more similar but slower and more detectable blurry black trails accompanied Anastasia’s few hundred thousand troops.

… Several minutes after the eastern port’s Fleet disembarked the land forces’ troops on the beaches. A few tens of thousands of kilometers to the west and northwest, the other 4 Fleets near the Fanto Region’s west finally assaulted the remaining enemy defensive structures on the shores before Fighters flew forth and decimated every grain of sand. They triggered explosions and trapping array formations with sheer power from missiles and Arts from above.

Nearly every Fleet selected a shore with a difference of only a few thousand kilometers in between. As they rushed forth, they suffered an incoming rain of missiles the enemy prepared before they neared the shores. Although these weren’t too many due to the Fleets’ quickness and their slow reaction speed, thousands of missiles still flew towards the 4 Fleets.

That was when the Frigate spaceships preemptively set off into the air and endured several missiles, even becoming drastically damaged, while their anti-turrets, some torpedoes, and missiles cleared out the rest.

A good third of the hundreds of Frigate spaceships they had were damaged until the point they had to be repaired immediately. Most of the damaged Frigates fell into the water, left alone with temporary, pre-inscribed Elemental Water Eye array formations from devices. Although it was a little cruel to give them a cold shoulder, the Fleets couldn’t stop and protect them to delay their disembarking.

After ensuring the fallen Frigates’ crew personnel, the Fleets continued advancing forward, offering some supporting fire to deter the enemy from kicking those who were already down. Just several minutes later, as the rest of the Frigates were maintained airborne and finished off the remaining traps and defenses on the shores, they returned to some warships and carried soldier units directly further inland as the disembarking began.

The Fleets proportioned heavy fire at the enemy settlements, while the Fleet that disembarked at the northwestern shore rapidly advanced through a jungle. Because the Tase Region was only 10,000 kilometers away from their northern shores, the Fanto Region’s inhabitants were expecting aid from them. Alas…

Like this, the Fanto Region’s coasts were rapidly taken by the other 2 Fleets east and 1 Fleet north of the Fanto Region. Their west and south rapidly fell under the Crimsons’ hands, evoking a shocking fury in the spectators, namely the Fanto Region’s neighbors, including the Non-Presentable Calm Region.
