Chapter 293 — The First Class Is Always The Best

The First Class Is Always The Best

Heian Ciemnosc and the Teacher, named Puru, walked through some corridors of the Management and Exterior Affairs building. Whereas only Teachers and Supervisors could have actual lodging within. And right now, they were heading to Teacher Puru's bedroom, which was many times bigger than an individual dormitory. Heian Ciemnosc led the way while Teacher Puru was behind, rearranging his robes and stretching as his eyes never left the book in Heian Ciemnosc's hands, which the latter did his best not to look at.

It had been a slightly long morning and a long noon. It was only about 2 hours before afternoon, and Heian Ciemnosc had to leave at about that time to reach his department so he wouldn’t miss a class. And more importantly, his first class. He was holding a book thrice as wide as his torso while the Teacher behind read it little by little. Only a few pages were left before the entire book was over, a few meters more before arriving at the bedroom’s door.

It wasn’t that Heian Ciemnosc sold himself off. Even if he did, it would’ve been with a worthy female. And right now, this human Teacher promised Heian Ciemnosc some free time to cultivate in his meditation room, not the cultivation room, while he was busy. The Teacher didn’t elaborate further, but Heian Ciemnosc was mindful that no trickery would be used in this endeavor. Also, he would have a little book to read for an hour.

“There, I’m finished,” the Teacher said. Heian Ciemnosc flipped the page, and no other page was left to read. It was just the end of the book, and thus, he closed it before passing it over to Teacher Puru, who stored it back in his strange Covert Space bag. Suddenly, Teacher Puru said with a light tone, “I’ve noticed you’ve looked at this with curiosity. Don’t tell me you don’t even know the different Cover Space bag's qualities, boy?”

“M..n,” Heian Ciemnosc innocently looked back up at Teacher Puru’s eyes, started to nod but halted, and then finished it after a couple seconds while still walking. The Teacher rolled his eyes slightly up and shook his head. He exposed his Covert Space bag a little more and said. “There is Inferior quality, which is pretty costly for those with the lowest status, but very affordable. One can even get a full stack of those after a couple years, so it isn’t that crazy.”

“Then the Supreme quality is for ‘rich’ members of organizations still within the lowest statuses. They are insanely more spacious and can hold other Supreme and Inferior Covert Space bags. Then there is the Start quality, which only those with a medium and high status can get, like me or even Assistant Teachers.”

“Lastly but not least, the Divine quality Covert Space bags are just the most incredible works of the greatest Craftspeople in the world. Only those with the highest status, such as the Vice headmaster or the Headmaster, can have them, barely. Meanwhile, there are… other existences that have many of them. For that, they have to live for millions of years at the very least and become basically… a sort of undying legends of their own.”

“Oh, I see… thank you.” Heian Ciemnosc nodded with a slightly lost, pensive facial expression. The Teacher looked at it, and he felt like he had saved the world from danger, a misconception, but then looked at his door and opened it with an actual key. Like this wasn’t one hell of an advanced cultivation organization at all.

“Sure,” saying so, the Teacher went in and left the door open. Heian Ciemnosc went in without being shy and looked around with only his eyes darting around as his head remained immobile out of decency. The bedroom was like an apartment. It had some living rooms and some immediate rooms here and there. Of which, 3 looked like actual bedrooms, and another 4 seemed for cultivation purposes, even for Craftsmaking.

Heian Ciemnosc suddenly noticed he was alone in the living room and went close to the kitchen’s island just to wait a little. Teacher Puru didn’t take long before returning and said to Heian Ciemnosc with a lazy yet expecting expression. “When my girlfriend comes, that’ll be your half an hour to cultivate in the meditation room. Have fun, kid, you will be shocked.”

“...” Heian Ciemnosc said nothing and looked at the Teacher after the latter said those words. Teacher Puru looked back at Heian Ciemnosc’s face and felt the straightness of his look, which somewhat compelled him to explain. “I… am from the 60%.”

“... !” Heian Ciemnosc kept looking at the Teacher. Then his eyes widened with realization before he gave a thumbs up to Teacher Puru, who could only nod in response.

Ring- daaa~. The doorbell sounded. The Teacher went to open his door, ignoring Heian Ciemnosc, and revealed a cute red-skinned beauty with a couple of horns on her forehead. Her smile brightened the bedroom instantly, and she was 30 cm taller than the Teacher. As soon as she stepped in, she looked at Heian Ciemnosc with surprise coming into her eyes as she cutely began spoiling the pale teenager with her eyes, beauty, and words.

“Aren’t you a celebrity now? Wuaaah,” she walked and stood before Heian Ciemnosc, almost about to pull his cheeks, when Teacher Puru came and rescued him, bashing her hands away from his pure and virgin self. Although he probably did it for another reason and set of emotions other than protecting the purity of the world.

“What are you doing still standing and not in one of my beds? Eh. Come on, get moving, go go.” Teacher Puru said. The Demon beauty smiled bashfully and obediently went to the middle of the 3 bedrooms, her bum already exposed before she left the door ajar. Teacher Puru looked at Heian Ciemnosc, only to notice he wasn’t looking, but he didn’t know that Heian Ciemnosc had already trained all day to do this. Yet, an ever so tiny and only ‘to glance’ wisp of Spirit Sense gave an adequate rating to the Demoness and another thumbs up to the Teacher.

Slide. The door to the meditation room opened. Then Teacher Puru spoke while walking to the middle bedroom, clearly not caring whether Heian Ciemnosc would heed his warnings. “It’s open now. As a guest, I’ve allocated you 30 minutes to cultivate, and do your own bidding. There’s a sound barrier implemented, so you won’t be disturbed. You’ll be safe. After you come out, I’ll give you a book.”

“Mn.” Heian Ciemnosc nodded and turned to look at the open door behind, then at the closing door, previously left ajar just now. He could only see a winking eye far away in a bed while the door was closed. After shaking his head and embarrassingly smiling, Heian Ciemnosc left the kitchen’s island and went into the meditation room.

Pam. The door automatically closed right after he entered the room, but the 30 minutes weren’t over yet. Heian Ciemnosc looked around a little more, noticing the entire room was a smooth and soft material and in a rectangle. There was only black inside, but a kind of black-gray. A small cushion was in the middle, waiting to be seated. Though Heian Ciemnosc didn’t want to sit there, out of respect and disgust at the same time, he knew only by sitting there could he start receiving some help and those 30 minutes to go down.

Thus, after struggling like a kid, Heian Ciemnosc wobbled to the cushion and sat on it. Immediately, he felt the surroundings flow with pure energy. It was so pure, fresh, and cold from how much had condensed into the meditation room out of nowhere that it left him speechless. What kind of energy did the Second Step have that they needed this much just to meditate?!

Heian Ciemnosc sat cross-legged, intertwined his pinky and ring finger, and semi intertwined his middle and index finger. His thumbs embraced each other, seemingly with strength but actually not. The section below his fingers’ base touching together, Heian Ciemnosc began to attract all that bountiful pure energy into his incomparably small and incapable body.

Pshiiift, pshiiift, pshiiiiiftt, pshiiiiiiiiiifth~...

Heian Ciemnosc began his 30 minutes of cultivation. The pure energy demonstrated to be too much, and even after the first minute of going all out to cultivate, he felt not even a tenth of the pure energy within the meditation room had been absorbed. The meditation room wasn’t bigger than 4 x 10 meters. Yet it was virtually impossible for Heian Ciemnosc to have it all for himself.

With his still innate, superior senses, he could feel the firm, heavy thumps on the ground from the other extreme of the whole bedroom. Heian Ciemnosc ignored it after shaking his head and still giving both rabbits a good rating for their passion before continuing his cultivation.

‘Breakthrough!’ Yet, in just 3 minutes. Heian Ciemnosc had gathered enough pure energy to feel so bloated he thought getting pregnant with pure energy might be possible. Then, he broke through with graces as he felt his body marvelously bathing in pure energy, now dark Power Energy, within. Heian Ciemnosc let out a soundless moan as he raised his head to face the ceiling and slowly opened his eyes. If any harlots he’s met or Alyona and Hong Mei were to see him now, he would’ve been jumped and humped after seeing this.

Now, in the Obsidiafying realm 6th stage, Heian Ciemnosc had no silly thoughts to wait much longer, and he stood up to spasm his muscles and concentrate his bodily strength. With swift motions, Heian Ciemnosc started to hear noises within his body as he self-inflicted some mild injuries and focused his body. Which is basically the same as the All-Devouring Force Chronicles, to heal back up, time and again, as his cultivation base stabilized.

During those exercises, Heian Ciemnosc’s 30 minutes were not consumed as he no longer sat on the cushion, and the pure energy was still around. His remaining time remained at 26 minutes and 47 seconds. Only when Heian Ciemnosc felt his cultivation base stabilize so much he could hold half a Region with it alone did he return to the cushion and continue cultivating.

… The 30 minutes quickly went by. Heian Ciemnosc broke through the 7th stage of the Obsidiafying realm, stabilized his cultivation base, and even cultivated halfway to the 8th stage with flawless success. Just as Teacher Puru had said, he was shocked. A ‘little’ place like a Teacher’s lodging within the tall as fuck blue building in the Academy’s middle was… just too damn great!

Thinking of the proportions, Heian Ciemnosc was left pondering a lot about the pure energy necessary for the Second Step and how damn larger it was compared to him right now, even as he was needy of large amounts of the same, but was still way below what Teacher Puru needed. This was, once again, just Teacher Puru’s meditation room, and he might not even waste too many resources to fill it up. But it was like the most sumptuous land of cultivation to Heian Ciemnosc.

Slide. Coming out the meditation room, Heian Ciemnosc watched as Teacher Puru and his girlfriend bid goodbye for the moment. His hands were all over her lifted skirt, which she hadn’t worn before, showing her bare bum to Heian Ciemnosc the Peeper. When Heian Ciemnosc came out, Teacher Puru lowered her garments and slapped her hands, which didn’t seem to want to stop despite a pale teenager watching them. Then, with a sweet peck and soft whispers that Heian Ciemnosc couldn’t hear, she left the bedroom and waved her left hand to Heian Ciemnosc as she once again winked at him.

Some silence passed, and Teacher Puru, reading Heian Ciemnosc’s cultivation base now, nodded and looked at Heian Ciemnosc with praise. The pale teenager nodded slightly in return before opening his mouth and sinking his left eyebrow in wonderment. “Teacher Puru, why do you do this much for a Sub Student like me?”

“Hmm, you’re finally asking that, eh?” Taking a glass and drinking it from his Covert Space bag, Teacher Puru continued with a calm and at ease tone. “You are a very notorious person now, famous but could be infamous. However, no one will really care about you unless you grow. And those who do care about you now either treasure you or covet you.”

“However, no Teacher, even Assistant Teacher, is dumb enough to be nice towards you.” Teacher Puru finished his drink and stored his glass. “I assume you’ve heard of coins and Stones. Have you heard of merit? Sub Students can barely gain a few individual merit points with each one-day mission they do. But Students are slightly more needy of merit. With it, they can even claim a personal lesson with a Teacher of their choosing, and if that Teacher agrees.”

“Sub Students and Students can gain merit by missions or being the smart one in class, any day and with any question or problem. Leading Students, on the other hand, can gain merit in better ways. Such as leading teams out in missions, real missions not from within the Academy or its nearby Regions, and by having the students under them progress better than the standard of the Academy.”

“But us, in the middle or high statuses spectrum. We can only gain merit in these peaceful times by employing missions and those being successfully completed. In time and efficiency, the better, the more we receive. Our merit points can be exchanged for pills, tools, armor, or weapons that the Academy would only do for us and whose cost is pretty hefty.”

“Other than that, there is the ‘goodwill’ we can give to anyone, from civilians to Leading Students. But only natural and genuine acts are counted. The Wrath Nihility Academy has a look into your whole self when you enter it, record it, and read it at all times. That’s how we can know the death and life of our students and staff members outside the Academy and peril within the Academy.”

“It’s easier when the Soul is formed, but even then, it is unmistakable. Nature cannot be faked or tricked.” Teacher Puru walked to Heian Ciemnosc, took a book out his Covert Space bag into his left hand, then passed it onto Heian Ciemnosc’s hands. It read {Spaceship’s Unique Specialties} and even had the date marking just 5 years ago. Teacher Puru continued by saying. “But it can be coaxed into accepting one’s goodwill. You have 1 hour and 20 minutes before you have to hurry to your first class. You won’t want to miss it, and I’m sure you’ll like it.”

“... Thank you.” Heian Ciemnosc picked up the book, opened it, and read it slightly before lifting his head to look at Teacher Puru. Afterwards, he unceremoniously went to a one-seater sofa and dropped his bottom. Teacher Puru looked speechlessly before shaking his head and walking back to the middle bedroom, seemingly wanting to remember his girlfriend’s smell, of body, and beauty.

… In less than 40 minutes, Heian Ciemnosc read the entire book with his own eyes. As an Obsidiafying realm cultivator, anyone could read a thousand pages, even if they were all extremely long and complex words that did not go well together from a minute to a few minutes. This book had about 1,300 pages and was all about the latest tips and peculiarities of the Fighter spaceships. It was written when the peace agreements were already being talked-out and with the experience of billions of fallen troops, which the book’s authors compiled.

Heian Ciemnosc became engrossed in it, reading it the first time so slowly that he took 40 minutes to read these few pages at his own pace and to his enjoyment. After reading it once, Heian Ciemnosc read it many times at a speed worthy of his cultivation base. In the end, Heian Ciemnosc was shocked by the numbers besides the helpful and incredible contents of the book. Though millions of Fighter Spaceships were destroyed, the amount of larger Spacecraft being brutally destroyed was even bigger…

That, coupled with his knowledge of how large a Carrier can be and the usefulness of Frigates and Destroyers from his 6 months with the Crimsonbreaking Faction, made him realize how far from what he knew about war he was. It was like being slapped on the face and being sat down for overthinking oneself. Heian Ciemnosc felt he was far behind what any ‘low’ commander had to shoulder and witness in battle.

After spending an hour there, Heian Ciemnosc closed the book and stood up. Knocked on the Teacher’s bedroom door and left it on the ground before racing his way out of the whole bedroom. When Teacher Puru opened his door with energy, still lying on his bed, and picked the book up, Heian Ciemnosc had already teleported himself to the first floor and exited the blue building.

Without looking back, Heian Ciemnosc went through another portal after running for 10 minutes. Teleporting himself to the ‘first year’ department, where Sub Students and Students alike attended their very first year and everyone in the First Step. Heian Ciemnosc entered the department and found the classroom he was supposed to be in just a few minutes more.

As Heian Ciemnosc walked for the first time through the corridors and watched the classrooms’ entrances, he walked past, his cold sweat, numb spine, and shocked mind slowly eased. The entire department was divided into a few sections. It had 2 sections for classrooms, 1 for studying and 1 for leisure.

Both classroom sections were for Sub Students and Students in the First Step, who would share classrooms and the entire ‘first year’ department for themselves. However, only Students would come to this department for some classes, while Sub Students could only come here. The Students had other departments they could attend, and each department was the size of 3 to 4 dormitories sections.

A department’s section wouldn’t always be filled up entirely, but the classrooms were. Even if only a single class would take place on any day, that classroom would be packed with all its students, and the teacher in question would be heard no matter what. Like religion, but without devotedness needed, only the desire for learning and not failing the Wrath Nihility Academy. Besides, the teachers of the Academy had to be damn good in order to have such students. Everyone started at a low point, after all.

Step, step, step, step. Crack~, step… step step step step…

Heian Ciemnosc arrived before his classroom. After taking a few breaths to calm what little nervousness he felt. He opened the door as it cracked a noise and stepped inside. Heian Ciemnosc watched as more than 12,000 pairs of eyes looked at him and then ignored him after noticing it wasn’t the teacher.

Walking inside, Heian Ciemnosc chose a particular spot in the grand bleacher-like fancy seating, where he also found someone fun. He ignored the winking eyes and bright glow in some girls’ eyes and walked directly to where a blondie finally noticed him and patted the seat to her left for him to sit.

Unceremoniously, Heian Ciemnosc sat his pale ass on that seat and looked to his right, where brown eyes greeted him with satisfaction.
