Chapter 404 — The Auction, Marvelous Devices!

The Auction, Marvelous Devices!

"Do you have any news about anything interesting happening here? Recently, or rumors?" Heian Ciemnosc asked after a good, long while of chatting. Fera was content to converse and make best friends forever with Violet, Fengli, and Sakura. She also liked Esteban and Victor because the other dudes were silent and inactive. As for Heian Ciemnosc, Fera already saw him as a good, big brother to depend on in a little something. What else did he have to do so she could like him? It was that simple.

“Nom nom nom, mhm!!” Fera ate her drumsticks contentedly as she nodded and murmured. After a few seconds of munching hard and fast, she gulped it all down with extreme satisfaction before turning to Heian Ciemnosc to say, in high spirits. “I heard there is a location just 10 days from here where no settlement dares to establish any closer to it. Every cultivator that goes there, from the First to the Third Step, never returns.”

“I heard that Third Step cultivators no longer care about the place, but there are rumors saying they are actually afraid of it. Nobody knows what it is. It’s like a forestal zone but also a swamp. It has a lagoon under its surface, probably less than half a meter beneath the ground. It’s strange. However, if one enters the mist, which compasses around 100 kilometers… nobody returns.” Fera said, her eyes shining as she spoke to everyone with a gladdened tone.

“There are many things about this place in books and short stories. Although they all describe the place the same way as if having formed a pact, their content varies with treasures, secrets, and the road to rule over the world!” Fera excitedly said while drowning in another drumstick with its thickest section as thick as her head and as long as her arm. “But there is a history book that hints at what’s hidden inside that place.”

“It is said there was an unknown existence from Changes ago when the Lords were still popping left and right every few Archeons that chose the end of their lifetime in that place. The Sanz Kingdom was a Minor Kingdom back then, and look at it now. With the blessing of an existence, nothing can stop the world from improving, right?” Fera said, nodding and cleaning her fingers by sucking the tasty grease off them.

“Where is that place?” Heian Ciemnosc asked, his mind churning with so many things… Fera immediately looked at him and responded, her large black eyes as if waiting for a response. “Northeast from here! The road is easy to spot even thousands of meters above the ground, and many signs warn the travelers to not enter near the mist zone.”

“Oh, mm, okay. You’ve been good,” Heian Ciemnosc nodded and said. He looked at her and patted her head somewhat without confidence. But when his right hand landed atop Fera’s head as she let him treat her like a child, he felt his confidence return and make him lightly smile. He rubbed her hair a little before saying, “Is there anything you want from the auction?”

“Mmm… mn!” Fera looked at the ceiling and became pensive. Her eyes suddenly jolted, and she looked at Heian Ciemnosc, nodding twice. With an excited tone, she said. “Yes! There’s a puppet that can test one’s energy usage, manipulation, and efficiency. It is said it was a Relic once upon a time, but it had been wasted by time and not maintained for many Eons. It’s the only thing that I want!”

“Oh. Alright, I get it for you,” Heian Ciemnosc patted her head a few more times before letting go. Fera immediately shook her head and gestured her hands in denial. “No need, no need. Only if there’s enough exchange money, I don’t want to worry big brother and these sisters and brothers.”

“...” Heian Ciemnosc didn’t speak further and merely patted her head twice again. Fera pouted and looked at him before continuing to eat. Elena looked on indifferently. But under the table, she gently held Heian Ciemnosc’s hand as if praising him for good work. Heian Ciemnosc saw his COs have nothing to say about the possible endangering of the mission. Not only were they respecting but also following his wishes without questioning him.

‘Sigh… such good people.’ Heian Ciemnosc continued holding hands with Elena, occasionally chatting with Fera, and watched the others enjoy the latter’s presence as her flat belly became bloated. If she had agreed to pay for dinner, her own number of plates would’ve left her wallet emptying, let alone Heian Ciemnosc and the others who were used to massacring tons of food per dinner together.

… A few hours later, Heian Ciemnosc and his group headed to the auction house in charge of the Sanz Kingdom’s important event. It wasn’t anything world-shaking, but the items auctioned this time were collected from the Kingdom’s passing history over the last hundreds of years. Now that so many years have passed, its collection couldn’t be awful, and this Kingdom’s overlord has been ruling for more than ten million years.

Even Fourth Step organizations showed interest in its items. However, most of those in the Third Step or lower came with the goal of taking the most precious items back to their organizations. Many of those things were for mass production, those which the Wrath Nihility Academy lacked the most. Now, this Sanz Kingdom has opened its arms to receive the Academy’s students so they could have a chance to get them.

As Heian Ciemnosc and his entourage walked towards the auction, they realized it was in the open but was almost as large as an entire city. A Medium City could hold many structures or buildings with a city’s volume. How amazing could that be? Still, it was smaller than the Large Cities in the Blackotia Kingdom. However, this Sanz Kingdom’s Middle City was already more advanced than the former with just this slight difference.

There was an actual building and wall surrounding the auction house. The building was at its front, the only entrance and exit of the auction house, and where Heian Ciemnosc and his group were walking. The rest were walls, protecting from intruders or thieving scum with a green protective array formation barrier. This was naturally much stronger than a light green barrier. It could be seen how important this place was to the Sanz Kingdom.

As Heian Ciemnosc walked in, he didn’t see anyone with the Obscure Orb Sect’s emblem on them. The reception was majorly empty, and only a few, whose emblem came from the Sanz Kingdom’s overlording organization, were lazily standing. When they saw Heian Ciemnosc’s group come inside and fill the reception hall, they were surprised but hurried to their posts. Not too long after, a female clerk stepped towards Heian Ciemnosc and looked at him weirdly but still acted professionally.

‘Hmph. Why is a Spirit Formation realm cultivator their leader?’ The young woman coughed and began, “Mister is here. I see you’re from the Wrath Nihility Academy. Please don’t refuse the request for identification from your Universal Conveyance. After checking our things, we’ll send you right to your seats.”

Step, step, step, step…

With that, the clerk smiled at him, turned around, and walked away. Heian Ciemnosc looked at the main wall in the reception without looking at the clerk for more than a second when he received a notification from his wrists, which he directly accepted. He didn’t look around and read a section where he became interested before walking towards it. Elena went to another area as they were identified, with her team’s vice team leaders following behind.

“Gasp! It’s him!” - “... Oh my god, and you didn’t treat him especially, gasp! You lost your chance!” - “Oh… my… god… I should’ve known!” - “Bwahahahah, I’ll tell our sisters, writhe in pain, snobby bitch!” - “Shut up! Bohoo, I’m gonna cry.”

While the clerks were chatting among each other as the identification was quickly processed, Heian Ciemnosc ignored it and walked to a reception with a letter saying ‘Auction Your Items’. When the cutesy female clerk noticed someone walking towards her, she looked at Heian Ciemnosc, trying to scare away some extra work she didn’t want to do. But when she saw his mighty handsome appearance, she lost her chance as Heian Ciemnosc directly asked her.

“What are the limits to selling my things here?”

“Ooh…” The female clerk looked down in disappointment before regaining her professionalism. With her throat clearing up, she began. “Alchemy, forging, talismans, array formations… Everything is good as long as they are of the same Step’s use as the person’s wanting to auction them.”

“Mn,” Heian Ciemnosc nodded before taking several pills from his Covert Space bags. Each one was for different purposes, but there was of every type here. Theriac, augmenting, cohesion, and interim types landed on the reception desk. The clerk’s attention was won over, but she was stunned silly as she analyzed the first pill she took into her hand. She rubbed it and rotated it in her fingers before letting go of it gently on the desk and taking the others into her hands.

Her Spirit Sense was at full motor, examining every inch, inside out, of these pills. Their medicinal effect slightly fluctuated, but the desk’s materials were seemingly made for keeping such crucial elements in control. The clerk finally looked up at Heian Ciemnosc. Having checked the 7 dozen pills, she felt her day had come and ignored him before opening her Universal Conveyance. Soul fluctuations appeared before Heian Ciemnosc’s eyes as she professionally and carefully exchanged information with top secrecy.

Then, she returned to her job and looked at Heian Ciemnosc, “Dear sir, how many are you selling? A dozen batches each? Forgive my imprudence, but surely, someone of your caliber can’t only bring one or two to auction, right? Also, we’ll need a show of your Power Energy to compare it with the pills, if you don’t mind. Sorry for the trouble.”

“Mn,” Heian Ciemnosc nodded again before sending his dark Power Energy into the clerk’s left palm. Her eyes widened a little as she looked down at it when she felt a cold and empty presence. Witnessing his unique Power Energy, she was further intrigued, but it was senseless when it touched her skin. Not cold or fresh sensation could be felt, only the passing of Power Energy through her skin, albeit thinner than any other person’s Power Energy.

“Mn, they are indeed yours. Ah, sorry, I meant the pills, ahem!” The clerk said, slightly losing herself in the moment as she recomposed herself and looked up at him with worshiping eyes. Who wouldn’t want to know such a person when they were in the same Step? Still, with these pills, it was obvious one would grow to the next Step without a doubt. “Then, may I know how many are you planning to auction?”

“Mhm, 100 batches for each of these pills,” Heian Ciemnosc slightly nodded and pointed down with his index finger at his pills. The clerk suddenly lost touch with the real world as she instinctively gulped. Her eyes were unfocused as she looked at Heian Ciemnosc. “... shit.”

Although it was an interesting matter to watch, it happened quickly. Heian Ciemnosc quickly took thousands of pills and put them into the clerk’s hands for a few minutes. The identification process had already finished, but Heian Ciemnosc continued to throw his pills into the clerk’s arms. Finally, when everything was calculated, and the clerk was about to give Heian Ciemnosc a general price for all his stuff, the message she was waiting for arrived inside her head.

“Sorry, sir. Would you rather sell these to the Sanz Kingdom’s Featherface Pavillion? In total, these might give you around 12,000 Star grade Powerful Stones even if their starting bidding price is raised 20 times according to regulations. We are willing to pay 20,000.” The clerk spoke to Heian Ciemnosc with respect. But her eyes showed not imploration or determination but expectant.

“How about 26,000 Star grade Powerful Stones?” Heian Ciemnosc said while grasping his chin. Sure enough, the clerk lowered her head while pressing her lips, seemingly receiving a mental message. Before even 10 seconds passed by. She looked right up and faced him again. “It’s been approved! Are you willing?”

“Mn, I’ll sell them directly to you then.” Heian Ciemnosc nodded and watched the clerk’s fabulous smile as she pocketed them all into a Covert Space bag at the side. Heian Ciemnosc looked at it and noticed strong Soul fluctuations covering it, hidden to the naked eye and even Second Step cultivators’ Spirit Sense. Of course, it wasn’t hidden by a powerhouse. Otherwise, Heian Ciemnosc wouldn’t have been able to witness it.

Having studied a Soul’s functions all this long with the many people he’s been watching and hanging around, Heian Ciemnosc was still astounded by this strange combination of array formation and Soul Art. After the clerk stored most of the pills, she looked at Heian Ciemnosc and passed her Universal Conveyance in front of him. Heian Ciemnosc placed his wrist below her left wrist and received 26,000 Star grade Powerful Stones at once!

‘There goes my years’ worth of producing pills…’ After receiving the payment, Heian Ciemnosc shook his head at the empty feeling of his precious pills being thrown away for real. His Concealed Ornament Team and Elena’s team still had many of the pills he made, which they had to buy from him. But still, those were a lot of pills with the utmost and in large quantities being sold. Anyone with a brain could feel the heartache.

“Ouh?! Hehe, thank you,” the female clerk said after receiving Heian Ciemnosc’s sudden buss on her lips. He had softly grabbed her neck with his right hand and lowered his head onto her face. She had instinctively blinked her eyes into a closedown. But she strangely didn’t react to protect herself and accepted his lips candidly. When it was over, lasting less than 2 seconds, their peck finished. She looked up at him and smiled before returning to store his pills.

“Big Sis, why does he do that?” Fera asked Elena. She had to look up and tug at Elena’s sleeve to catch the latter’s attention. Elena’s eyes went upturned, and she looked at Fera with mysterious glints crossing through them. Fera’s eyebrows twisted and danced before asking again. “Don’t you feel betrayed? Jealous?”

“Bah, he’s just giving her a little something, nothing to worry about. As for doing that in front of me, if I was like that, he wouldn’t have married me, right?” Elena looked down at Fera and said, caressing Fera’s head like a little girl’s. Fera’s eyebrows rose, and she almost jolted away from Elena’s hand. But Elena’s caress felt like her big bro’s, determined, heavy, and strong. She liked it and let Elena continue patting her head.

After Heian Ciemnosc bussed the innocent clerk, she didn’t become girly or fall in love. Although she blushed and looked at Heian Ciemnosc somewhat shyly after his sudden molestation, such a worse act than working in a mine as an ordinary person. She professionally kept the pills and bid farewell to Heian Ciemnosc, who now had slightly more money to spend in case it was needed. However, he also had something in mind. If he could keep at least 10,000 of these for his breakthrough into the Second Step and cultivate in the Broken Crystallization realm. It would be all worth it.

Heian Ciemnosc received his money and walked to a Universal Conveyance terminal to take those Star Powerful Stones into his pockets. After doing all that, he returned to the group and walked into the auction hall. There were 10,000 students, but they walked at ease through the corridors, forming a long line and turning a few times before arriving at the open space they witnessed before. Only half an hour remained before it started.

The bleachers were somewhat unique. Besides the usual ones, most would sit and watch with their heads turned upwards. There were another 2 types. One was with a vertical semi-wall, where a few hundred thousand seats hung and protruded from such wall for anyone to sit on. The other type was also a vertical semi-wall, but with an unmistakable inclination backwards to let more people sit at the top and in quantity than the former.

Heian Ciemnosc brought the students to sit in the basic seats, which was where the Wrath Nihility Academy had reserved for them. Sitting around, Elena found hers on Heian Ciemnosc’s right, Sakura on his left, and Arla… sat on his lap. She didn’t give way for him to respond, forcing him to accept his situation as she wriggled her butt a little before suddenly sitting with her back straight. She looked down and smiled at the junior whose monster asked if to intrude or not to intrude.

“Frank said many things. Such as: you’re not allowed to be nice and flirty with others unless they are penetrating any of your holes, you’re masturbating them, or they are abusing you. Should I tell him?” Heian Ciemnosc spoke to Arla, lying out the trump card he wanted to keep if she wanted to dry him again. However, it didn’t work. Arla looked at him in surprise, perhaps wondering how could he know that, but she only reclined her wrinkly, tiny hole against his shaft, closer to the base.

Twisting her waist, she faced him with her hands on his shoulders. Her luscious red lips danced with her saliva dropping to her chin and jaw as she blew her breath on his face while speaking. “Do so, and you might find yourself having a peeper every time you want to vent, and I’m content to comply.”

“Grunt, you’re always content to spread your legs for me,” Heian Ciemnosc said, feeling her trying to suckle him inside through their clothing. Arla’s eyes were mesmerized as she focused on the sensations. The dumbass was accidentally pleasing herself, and she liked that. Hearing his words, the voice she adored to listen to while he owned her with his actions and sweet talk in bed, Arla sobered up and said with a grand smile. “And why wouldn’t I? You’ve already used the key I gave you. While I was sleeping, you did… quite a few times. I’m glad to be used as a helping meat toy.”

“...” Heian Ciemnosc looked at her. His eyes told her everything. Even if she was much stronger than him, he would still bang her until he couldn’t move for a day. He’ll risk it all and knock her and her womb unconscious! He will get revenge by raping her back in her weakest and most vulnerable state! What goes around, comes around!

Arla seemed to understand his meaning and smiled. Knowing they couldn’t do something terribly lascivious as fornicate in this significant auction and with the open walls and ceiling, she was just about to turn around and no longer try eating him with her winking, throbbing holes when she felt her chin man-grasped and turned back around. Her lips weren’t met by his lips, but his cheekbones below his eyes.

He ate away the traces of saliva her slutty upper mouth had left before finally plunging her mouth. She was like a lithe young girl learning sex from a suspicious and lustful party. But Heian Ciemnosc only devoured her breath and senses away before letting go… just a few seconds before the auctioneer showed himself up on the smallish stage between every seat. Arla was content as she turned around and comfortably sat on his lap.

She wasn’t breathless or tired and felt proud and accomplished from beating Heian Ciemnosc in this after being bested by him in this regard for many months. Only he was capable of doing so. The others were only good enough to make her faint a little and not more than once when ganging upon her. That was before she started seriously cultivating to this point. This little slut, free-use skank as Elena likes to call her, was just beginning to show the scaringness she had hidden all along.

Elena and Sakura would look at them from time to time but continued ignoring them as they mediated or watched the rest of the auction hall in contemplation. Heian Ciemnosc’s right hand found Elena’s left hand at some point, and they kept holding each other’s tender skin lovingly even as the auction started. Sakura, on the other hand, leaned her right shoulder on his left shoulder and knocked her head on his on occasion. The auction started…
