Chapter 495 — Arrival (1)

Arrival (1)

'Sigh, it's always those with 'Grand' on their title.' Heian Ciemnosc thought as he flew back to the Academy's Cruiser. He had smelled many scents that shouldn't be on a Human cultivator, and of the worst kinds, from all possible deranged shit. Although Heian Ciemnosc wasn't admirable and even tortures his prisoners, they were at least cultivators for years and his enemies, not just some people he bought from random people working in shady business like civilians in the worst places of the world.

Heian Ciemnosc continued flying towards the Cruiser, reporting the situation, and neared their position. He could tell a few random spaceships were taken down in a 100 km radius around it. However, since it was peaceful and quiet now, Heian Ciemnosc didn’t inquire and entered the Cruiser’s hangar with his Ornament. Letting it be refilled with Neutral Energy Stones, Heian Ciemnosc picked it up, stored it, and walked to his bedroom like nothing ever happened.

. . .

Several hours later, evening. Between the Far East Region’s borders and the Small City itself.

It was already getting dark, close to 7 PM. However, the Cities around the Small City and that one humongous tower at the side were all lit up. Needless to say. The brightest island was the Small City, whose Central Building held a festivity banquet. While the other Cities were glad about this meeting and the coming of the Wrath Nihility Academy’s help from an assigned supervisor, nonetheless. They could only watch from their isles and see a panoramic image instead of the banquet itself.

However, they could at least watch who was showing up, how many were already sitting, and who was missing. Specifically, only the Wrath Nihility Academy’s assigned supervisor wasn’t around, and rumors said they took a little break to visit a Region not too far away. However, the Cities could deal with that, even if they had to wait more than a day without seeing them. They believed their Blauw Empire would regain what was theirs, and they trusted their Empress.

“Where is the assigned supervisor? The meeting started 2 hours ago!” - “Mn, the assigned supervisor must’ve met with some delaying matters, but that is acceptable. On the other hand, where in the hell is that girl?! We, all Far East Region powerhouses, have attended this banquet timely. Only 2 are left. One is our honored guest, but the other is the host! What gall can someone of such status have to ignore us?!”

“That is if we don’t mention her place’s current situation, hmph.” - “The Blauw Empire has been silent for a long while. I recommend you no longer search for trouble for the incoming future and migrate. With your natures, this Region might have another end…” - “Hmph! It is because they have been silent that we precisely must not lower our guards. This Empire might just bite at us tomorrow!” - “Ahem, there’s no need to be this critical, perhaps…”

However, while the people from the Blauw Empire might have understood their leader’s hopes and cherish of her people, even when they weren’t all Azure Dragon’s descendants, it didn’t mean other people would. And even if they did know… that didn’t mean they would let their Empire have peace. The banquet continued with another intense minute, with royal guards at the side staring at the people lightly and blatantly insulting their home.

… peeeeeeeeeeeewww! Futomp!! Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…

Finally, and suddenly, the Blauw Empire welcomed the sight of a ginormous space battleship. Its several weaponry and tough armor gained everyone’s attention, scaring a few and startling nearly every Blauw Empire person. The sudden arrival of the spaceship caused the clouds in a 300 km radius to disperse, and since it arrived 100 km from one of the Small City’s walls, it cleared up a little portion of the sky above it from clouds.

The people sitting around an enormously long and 30 meters wide table looked at it with surprise and shock, not expecting something like this from nowhere. They watched as a Cruiser appeared before their eyes again. The Academy had already sent whatever they had from the 10 year war, and anyone could see images from the overlord wars that took place, putting every organization in a position where they could see the Academy’s prowess from afar.

Now that they saw one, even new-looking Cruiser, the Far East Region’s organization leaders changed their faces to those of subtle paleness, sternness, and graveness. Slowly, they stood up. Meanwhile, the Cruiser’s front opened a little to reveal a gap, wide enough to allow a Frigate to come out. However, instead of a whole army bidding farewell to the assigned supervisor, only one customized Fighter was flying from that gap.

The organizations’ leaders below felt somewhat weird and looked at each other. They watched as Heian Ciemnosc’s Ornament descended from the sky, not too slow, but not too fast. Heian Ciemnosc came above the Small City’s protective array formation barriers in less than a minute. Light green energy blinked before allowing Heian Ciemnosc to enter the Small City. After his Ornament flew further down, the Cruiser took its leave, not offering any words to the supposedly assigned supervisor or the people below.

Whuoosh. Pssf… tap, tap. Heian Ciemnosc parked his Ornament in midair, opened the cabin, and directly flew down as he stored his Fighter. Some smoke came off, taken by the Ornament after the Academy’s Cruiser suddenly stopped its advancement. Only when his feet tapped the floor did his appearance become visible to the powerhouses around the table. Each stood up, facing Heian Ciemnosc, as he walked towards them from the side without the intention to sit together.

“Are you… the assigned supervisor?” After silently gulping, an old man with pointy, feathered-like ears asked Heian Ciemnosc. The latter looked at the former with side eyes but didn’t intend to be disrespectful. Heian Ciemnosc opened his pale red lips to calmly speak, “I am. Your general appearance and aesthetics don’t seem to matter, yet you reveal such distinctive features. Those ears are only something that honorable people from the Feathered Valley Pavilion can carry.”

“Indeed,” the old man, with a robust but not chubby figure and short white hair, said as he seriously nodded. He then took a step forward, clasped his hands, and respectfully bowed towards Heian Ciemnosc. When he was straightening his back, he spoke. “I am the Feathered Valley Pavilion’s Grand Master, Errticol, and this is the Pavilion’s Head, Mo Liao.”

“Oh. I know,” Heian Ciemnosc swiftly responded with a light, careless, pale smile. The others watching the early worm attract the bird became slightly stupefied. Not leaving them much time to figure things out, Heian Ciemnosc grinned and spoke as he turned to face everyone. He didn’t feel an ounce of trepidation. “I will meet everyone here in due time. For now, I’d like to have a word with the small fry, except these… and this one. The rest will be called later on to speak with me.”

Heian Ciemnosc pointed at the top 7 organizations in the Far East Region, then pointed at a random organization’s spot, which some looked at strangely, before turning around and walking towards the other end of the table. The side Heian Ciemnosc was moving to was also closer to a pair of large, wide doors that weren’t seen through the large window he came through. Although it was night, everything was illuminated as if this room within the Central Building had a sun for illumination.

Fu-tump! …

Suddenly, as Heian Ciemnosc walked towards the other end of the table, the majestic doors opened, seemingly on their own, but were followed by the entrance of a sublime, beautiful, mature, and dignified woman wearing golden robes. She didn’t bother having too much purple and merely used thin purple fringes here and there on her golden robes. Her head was adorned with a crown. It wasn’t big, but it wasn’t needed because she expressed royalty from the deepest corners of her being.

She was breathtakingly beautiful, even if wearing cardboard clothing. Her brown skin, sensual jaw, neck, front, and profile face were stunning, simply marvelous! Her robes were accentuated but hid her big chest and slightly big bottom decently. She walked alone, needing no servants or guards at her service, only herself, the Empress. She was the apex of Azure Dragon’s descendants. Her aquamarine, azure hair, and eyes were more striking than any sun or moon.

This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

Her eyes contained unbridled, strong determination, and her every step, although hidden by her golden robes, was everyone’s attention at all times, including Heian Ciemnosc. When she walked into sight, every head and neck turned and twisted to meet her appearance, but when she walked towards them, their hearts slowed, and everyone’s minds were dazzled. Just then, she stopped. Without turning her head, she darted her eyes to the right, below.

She looked at Heian Ciemnosc with her stoic ruler’s magnificence. When they saw her ‘contempt’ for Heian Ciemnosc, those with many thoughts to hide but many words to speak silently gloated, but they also wished to see what the assigned supervisor would be capable of. Known as the little black monster, he had to show off, no?

“Mr. Heian Ciemnosc, would you like to accompany me back here?” The Empress spoke, soliciting Heian Ciemnosc’s presence back to wherever she came from. Heian Ciemnosc’s Spirit Sense was well-behaved, be it to the organization he would reside in from now on or the incredibly magnificent woman before everyone’s eyes. Yet, without a question, he nodded and grinned a little. “Oh. Of course.”

“Everyone should enjoy their feast,” the Empress quickly nodded briefly towards Heian Ciemnosc before turning her attention to the people around the table. She spoke with a hidden threat, and as she turned around, several maids and butlers exited the doors behind them, to the sides of the table, with delicious dishes prepared. The Empress finished her words, “We will return after discussing my Empire’s Far East Region’s matters.”

“... … …” The table turned awfully silent. Meanwhile, Heian Ciemnosc skipped a few steps to catch up with the Empress. Once he arrived beside her, he looked back at the butlers and maids doing perfectly well hiding their grins. Unfortunately, the food was simply delicious looking, smelling, and possibly tasty. There was no drama going on, but now, he felt hungry despite having had a toy to vent his hungriness during half the trip.

Tum tum! The majestic doors closed behind them as the powerhouses began eating. On the outside, the Grand Master and Head from the Feathered Valley Pavilion started eating at ease. Then, the Head stopped chewing on a drumstick and looked at the Grand Master. “Grandpa Errticol, should we have really greeted that kid? What will the other 6 organizations think of us now that we’ve shown our side?”

“We’ve shown nothing!” The ‘grandpa’ nearly barked out his response. He looked at the Pavilion Head with glaring eyes before calmly resuming eating and speaking at once. “This is just the beginning. Tonight, you’ll see the rest of the top organizations prostrating themselves before the assigned supervisor. But that doesn’t matter. What you should care about and take notes of are the assigned supervisor’s view of the Blauw Empire and, more importantly, of the Empress. As if nobody knows how much of an easy whore she is for keeping her power.”

“Mn,” the Head nodded before bathing his face in soup, burying his nose into the plate’s deep bottom. The maid that served those 2 looked at them from behind and put on an ugly face. The Head suddenly lifted his face, but remembering his grandpa’s words and the Empress’s hidden threat, he continued eating without a care. On the other hand, several more butlers and maids wore disgusted or displeased expressions on their faces as they watched some of the people around the table delight themselves with the food.

… Meanwhile, on the other side of the majestic doors. Heian Ciemnosc arrived at a stupidly lavish, rich, and luxuriously decorated resting hall. It had golden flooring and ceiling, but it had white, blue, black, obscure green, and dull obscure red on the walls from decorations, chandeliers, mantles, fabrics, clothing, and so on.

“Sir, assigned supervisor, I trust you have been well since the time we last met.” The Empress spoke without any bushes trying to obstruct their faces. Heian Ciemnosc’s eyebrows jumped and kept themselves up there before slowly relaxing as a smile formed on his lips. “You won’t even try to deny it or act as if you don’t understand what’s happening? You destroyed my illusion of bickering a little.”

“Sigh,” the Empress lowered her head and exasperatedly, yet calmly, let a brief sigh out. Still, she looked endlessly gracious. Her neck arched as she lowered her head, revealing a beauty impossible to resist, and even more, as she moved her meaty, small lips that were shadowed by the resting hall’s lighting. “I have come to realize talking and behaving like that towards you would be futile. Does that make Sir feel better now?”

“Oh…” Heian Ciemnosc softly exclaimed, almost like a child with his expectations lowered. The Empress looked at him directly, with only 4 meters in between, when Heian Ciemnosc finally asked something. “What are your real names, miss?”

“... Blauw Shuna is my name. I am the Blauw Empire’s Empress and just one of many Azure Dragon’s long lost Bloodline. Greetings, respected assigned supervisor, to my humble, decrepit, and decadent home.” Blauw Shuna answered, lightly bowing her head as she walked to stand before Heian Ciemnosc and clasped her hands daintily as if she was a damsel showing typical courtesy, perhaps from her Race’s customs.

However, Blauw Shuna knew Heian Ciemnosc should already know all of this. As for what he was asking her directly, she did not care but did care and worried about it at the same time. Heian Ciemnosc grinned and almost smiled before calmly saying, “It’s a pleasure to finally meet. I never thought you would be this influential. And despite your Empire suffering many losses during the wars, you only hold slight contempt towards the Wrath Nihility Academy and its people. That’s impressive. You’re welcome.”

“??” The Empress’s face didn’t change until Heian Ciemnosc worded ‘you’re welcome’ out of nowhere. She frowned, and her eyes became confused. Heian Ciemnosc saw this and smirked from the left corner of his mouth as he tilted his head to the left, then said, “Hasn’t your Empire been suffering kidnapping from some of your Azure Dragon’s descendants' babies? Eggshell or not, they’ve been taken away, I presume.”

“!!” The Empress’s face changed further. She looked at Heian Ciemnosc with shock, not confused by what he meant. Her mind clicked with the recent news that arrived just a few hours ago, and she suddenly felt relieved yet angrier out of the blue. The frown on her face made her face ever more sensual, but Heian Ciemnosc didn’t comment on it, and he simply enjoyed it.

“Miss Blauw Shuna?” Heian Ciemnosc asked once he saw her become composed again. She became the Empress from before, not showing emotion and looking indifferently into Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes. Although she showed signs of losing herself in their pure darkness in some instances. She blinked and spoke as lifelessly as steel, “Empress Shuna is enough.”

“Oh, mn,” Heian Ciemnosc nodded. Empress Shuna thus looked at him and slightly frowned before speaking in the same manner. “Sir, speaking about our past… about that parchment…”

“I can’t give it to you,” Heian Ciemnosc flatly spouted. Empress Shuna looked at him, seemingly wanting to see if he had ulterior motives or was being somehow truthful. Her glare would be enough to make any person spill their secrets against her, including little Heian Ciemnosc himself, but he didn’t have any to hold. Heian Ciemnosc silently shrugged his shoulders and said, “It’s not that my Master took it for herself or something. Those are the parchment’s rules. Not even I can tamper with it, or my Master. I don’t think you want to try it… and perish out of nowhere.”

“!” Empress Shuna’s aquamarine, azure eyes trembled for a moment, which Heian Ciemnosc barely caught. Their strong determination quickly returned, and she looked at Heian Ciemnosc with unspeakable understanding. Although she felt crestfallen, and Heian Ciemnosc could smell that, they remained silent for several minutes before one of them spoke again, breaking this tranquil quietness.

“Assigned supervisor, you said something about talking with the ‘small fishes’ around the table… would you like me to call them here? I will vacate this resting hall until you see it fit.”

Heian Ciemnosc looked at Empress Shuna and shook his head. He spoke smoothly and charismatically. “There’s no need for you to leave. It’s the opposite. You’re supposed to be why I’m talking to them in the first place.”

“Then, why so soon?” Empress Shuna asked, tilted her head to the left as she was just 20 inches from his face. Heian Ciemnosc looked at the door from looking at the Empress. His darkest eyes adorably looked on as his pale skin seemed to not be affected by the lights in the hall. “It’s just necessary. This will make things easier this way. It will only be the ones who don’t have some of their group in the Second Step. I don’t wish to invite the wolves and tigers all the way to your kitchens.”

“Mm…” Empress Shuna’s eyes became strange as she slightly turned her eyes upward. Only now did she realize Heian Ciemnosc was even taller than her, even if just by a couple inches. She looked at his shoulders left and right before parting her gaze as she turned around. Heian Ciemnosc felt some Soul fluctuations as 2 royal guards and a few maids and butlers entered from the outside. The people around the table could only see Heian Ciemnosc and the Empress briefly before an array formation obscured their view, and even those big shots’ Spirit Sense couldn’t go through it.

“Let’s begin,” Heian Ciemnosc called out softly. The royal guards took place on the doorstep to hold the majestic doors open as butlers came towards him with a chair from the hall. He looked at Empress Shuna and found maids bringing a chair for her, too. Heian Ciemnosc calmly sat on his chair as Empress Shuna looked magnificent sitting on hers. This made Heian Ciemnosc believe there was no action she could have that wasn’t simply screaming royalty.

“Mn, choose whoever you want, Sir.” Empress Shuna expressed with a nod, and the maids and butlers who heard her intention and words all became astounded but said or acted nothing. Heian Ciemnosc nodded and looked at the people outside. He was aware that an intricate concealment array formation hid sound, image, and fluctuations from within.

“Let’s start with the shores,” Heian Ciemnosc declared as Empress Shuna looked at him curiously. She hid it well within her eyes and expression, naturally.
