Searching For Fruits
The class was about the manipulation of energy. Some Students in the Defiant Step were present this time. And even they listened with seriousness and attentively to this one class and will continue to do so through the rest of the week, perhaps. After Heian Ciemnosc was cruelly sent to the ground, he and Elena went through the hallways and a few empty classrooms before arriving. On their way to their classroom, Heian Ciemnosc received many crescent eyes and giggles from girls, but not because his body slammed against the ground just a minute ago.
Ignoring them, they quickly arrived at their classroom and began to learn. The day went fast by, and it became night rapidly. During the class, at the beginning, the Sub Teacher did a short but necessary speech before commencing his lecture. It was all about how, despite some already going through these classes with some others already having read it somewhere, the teacher would still let everyone show him their progress so he could know where to start and how to end.
After a few hours of explaining and answering a few questions, the Sub Teacher made all Students get up and reveal their mastery over their Power Energy or Neutral Energy manipulations. Those who weren’t at the or past the Spirit Birth realm were given tools that anyone could sense the Power Energy fluctuating within them, and they had to do specific exercises, unlike the rest of the class.
Power Energy could be manipulated to take shape but not to be stable enough to keep it and move around with it at a turtle’s speed unless one was in the Spirit Rebirth realm. Heian Ciemnosc and Elena sat together, so they simply looked at each other and competed amongst themselves under the Sub Teacher’s praising eyes and nodding head. It wouldn’t be decided in just 1 day who won the bet. But Heian Ciemnosc could now perceive Elena’s skill in manipulating her Power Energy.
Even without her Mortal Horror Blood Halberd, her Power Energy had vastly improved since they had first fought. She could move her Power Energy without any attacking intention at a smooth speed and without trembling much. While Heian Ciemnosc’s dark Power Energy didn’t tremble but moved slower, this also showed him the differences between a little monster in the Ashes Soul realm and him, a ‘mere’ Spirit Birth realm cultivator.
… After the class ended, Heian Ciemnosc and Elena walked towards the teleportation portal, as they both needed to take a couple teleportations before getting to their separate dormitories in different Cities. During the nighty walk, Elena suddenly asked Heian Ciemnosc as they were calmly enjoying the fresh, cold silence and obscurity.
“How was it with your ex-fellow Sub Students?” They were just a few hundred meters before the teleportation portal. But it seemed they would be arriving when the portal needed to rest. Heian Ciemnosc looked at Elena and began, “Oh, it was alright. They weren’t willing to lose me, but I just gave a little speech, and I think they became incensed.”
“Ahh, right. Meeting those you took the test with is problematic. That almost never happens. Some Sub Students die in the dozens and dozens every month. While Students’ highest casualty rate, which isn’t rare, rounds about hundreds. It’s difficult to get to see someone you met at the beginning later on, and this is just a Second Step organization at the peak- hehe.”
“Mmmn,” Heian Ciemnosc hmmed while contemplating the sky. Elena looked up and then down at the ground before. “It isn’t every day that someone dares to post ‘special’ clips of a student from the Academy doing illicit things, ya know? You banged a few before returning to the Academy’s territory and your new Student’s dormitory. So I’m guessing you’ve gotten married during your leave?”
“Erm, yes. Oh, about that, are you feeling sad?” Heian Ciemnosc darted his eyes around before recomposing with that question. Elena’s face was clear, and she looked around, confused at that question, before looking at him with bright, with narrowed eyes and a pretty, strong smile. “But what are you talking about? Even if I were to be hooked up by your charm and potential, why would I be sad? You’re clearly not the monogamous type. And you might think you’re 60%, but you aren’t a pervert. All those girly beauties hitting on you last year weren’t just turned down. You didn’t show any interest.”
“Mn, if this was some dog blood drama, you would’ve made those girls cry. Fortunately, even if not all were cultivators, the citizens acted cleverly and with emotional intelligence to understand you. You are also too hot for them to care, ahem.” Elena elaborated a little, tilted his head to the left, and continued to listen to her. “You are irresistible. You’re charming, very handsome, have an incredible reputation, potential, and talent. And now, you are well packed, huh?”
“You are everything someone looking for a suitor wants, except me. I am too picky.” Elena winked at him and put on an ‘I got you bro, no homo’ face, which left Heian Ciemnosc brutally speechless. Especially the part she directly tells him he saw his wee wee stab into a piece of meat or two. But she truly didn’t seem to mind, not ‘not’ to care, but mind.
“You are a willing 40%, and I’m sure your wife likes it… hmmm. Yeah, that must be it. She must either get off with you banging others or is trying to create a harem for your future so that there will be many big, strong, and cute babies. It’s always like that. Both include authentic love.” Elena nailed it somewhat, and Heian Ciemnosc praised her silently, not daring to show it lest this little tomboy gets cocky.
“IF so, you’re lucky, Heian Ciemnosc,” Elena said with her arms crossed and kept walking. Heian Ciemnosc thought a bit before proposing, “During the end of the week, from now on, I will be going on errands to pick some fruits and/or killing some Fauna for Evans. Would you like to come?”
“Eeh? Ah, that incredible parrot of yours? No, no. You have to do those things on your own and should bring Jing Evan with you only when your Master tells you you’ll be facing a Fauna of a similar prowess to you. You’re a freak, after all. Also, you thought you could take advantage of these little missions to bring me on a dater? Puah! I, Elena, disciple of my Master, cannot be simply asked out!”
“Oh, is that advice from yourself on how to date you?” Heian Ciemnosc lifted his eyebrows and looked at the firm, independent young girl before saying, with a hint of teasing. Elena reacted at once, baring her pale face that inevitably grew prettier despite not truthfully being so, at least not in the ‘wow, pretty’ terms. “Haaahh? You h- how dare you! Are you flirting with me?!”
“Oh, I am, what?” Heian Ciemnosc nodded upwards at her, challenging her authority as the younger apprentice sister. Elena exaggeratedly tsked with the left corners of her lips and sank her eyebrows before adding, “Hah! If you think you gobble me up, just try and see what fa- Master will do! And e-e- even if you manage to fool me and get me to lower my garments, I will bite off your dick and chew it in front of you!!”
“...” Heian Ciemnosc fell silent and looked at Elena expressionlessly but with a hint of innocence. Elena’s disgusted face and tomboyish expressions looked up at Heian Ciemnosc, now slightly taller than her, and kept a determined face. Then, Heian Ciemnosc flatly spoke his mind out with the same tone, “So, one way or another, you’re down to put my member in your mouth?”
Elena: “...”
. . .
Soon, it was the night of the last, 7th day of the week. Heian Ciemnosc was already on his way out before the early morning after losing against Elena, all according to the Sub Teacher on their bet.
At these moments, Heian Ciemnosc had walked from the market district where he had bought his Covert Space bags before and had spent silver coins to buy 3 more. They weren’t in discount anymore, where not even the Headmaster gets a deal based on their status, so Heian Ciemnosc spent 180,000 silver coins and was left with around 170,000 silver coins.
He still used 3 Inferior Covert Space bags as his purse, but it went from 2 Inferior Covert Space bags to 5. While his personal items were still very few. As he walked through the streets and took some portals, still a couple hours before dawn, early morning. Heian Ciemnosc repassed what he learned in his second week in the Wrath Nihility Academy as a Student.
Classes with Master had been really damn good. Before, when she was just a foreign force in his body, the information and tasks were enough to keep him awake during the nights any other person would sleep. Naturally, not to mention his complex problem sleeping back then, and even until now that only after a day of harsh study and becoming slightly mentally fatigued can bring him down to his mattress to at least sleep an hour or too from time to time.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
Whenever it was time to study with Master, Heian Ciemnosc went first to his dormitory and then to pick Evans up. Even if Heian Ciemnosc wanted to keep him in his personal Covert Spce bag, Evans wouldn’t want to. He now had eggs to care for and lovers to keep feeling safe and at ease, knowing their husband would always be near unless his owner brought him to a mission. Of course, after the scary birds had some talks with the evildoer, Heian Ciemnosc, he promised them only to take the father of their children away for significant missions.
As for Evans’ safety, the mother of his children knew Heian Ciemnosc would protect him. It was an intuitive thingie. Besides, Heian Ciemnosc would indeed do so. Evans was whatever remained from the Sinvonnia Kingdom he remembers… and from his guardian. As the remaining vestige of his home, Heian Ciemnosc wouldn’t let anything happen to this dumb, fucking horny and bragging bird.
Milyy would come out of her hiding cave for a few minutes before going back there. She would be surprised each time Heian Ciemnosc was there but slowly familiarized with the new members of their family… and lives. Even if she didn’t want to admit it, she wouldn’t stupidly deny her mother’s decisions. If her mother wasn’t the most intelligent, most beautiful and most powerful in the world, then who could? Herself? Bah, she’s just a Universal God, after all…
Heian Ciemnosc will be losing one class, but it would be fine since his sweet and gentle Elena would be there to record it for him. However, he had to admit that despite being such a talented individual in everything where nothing could be a wrong turn for him, he learned a lot during this class of energy manipulation. Some things… he simply became more proficient in doing, but other things… he was amazed at how dumbly obvious they sounded, but only after hearing and thinking about them due to someone else’s words could one possibly imagine it.
No matter how talented and skilled an individual is… without experience, they cannot reach the apex!
Heian Ciemnosc’s manipulation of dark Power Energy was somewhat enhanced. If he would be a chick trying to flap its wings to fly and become a dragon before. Now, he was a chick flapping its wings comfortably and ready to peck on rice and live for days, even without a head. That was the change in Heian Ciemnosc’s mood and growing maturity. That was the effect the Wrath Nihility Academy bore on him… and many were watching with burning eyes.
“... Heeey, Big Bro!” Suddenly, Elena’s voice rang just as Heian Ciemnosc was going to directly leave the Academy’s territory. Looking at her, Heian Ciemnosc spotted a few of the Saberbone Diabolical Club farther behind her. He moved towards her while looking at those behind. Arla could be seen calmly pacing back and forth before noticing him and continued to do so but quicker after seeing him.
“Is that Arla? Why do I feel like a helpless turtle being eyed by a shark?” Heian Ciemnosc asked Elena as soon as she was within whispering range, covered his words with his Spirit Sense, and hoped they weren’t heard by Arla. Elena’s eyebrows jumped, and her eyes widened as the glint in her eyes changed, “Right! I forgot. Senior apprentice sister Arla asked me to tell you to return to the club’s headquarters as soon as possible. She wants to mate with you.”
“...” Heian Ciemnosc wordlessly looked and inspected the pale face before, and slightly under, him. He wanted to deduce whether this fake Elena was a ghost, an impostor, or simply his bad conscience speaking. Elena saw his reaction and moved her hands to his torso’s sides before swaying his body, left and right, in rotating motions. “Don’t be like that. Arla has been… holding it in for a long time now. Well, not really ‘long-long’ time, but it is like that for her. Just go there when you return and give her a little hump, yea?”
“... Hmf, oh. Okay,” Heian Ciemnosc said after shaking his head once, grunting with a snort to keep himself from giving a chortle and nodding. He looked at Arla, who stopped pacing back and forth and looked at them with insanely fiery, lusty eyes…
“I… better go,” Heian Ciemnosc, the Coward, said as he grabbed the back of Elena’s hands with his palms and fingers. Elena nodded in return and saw Heian Ciemnosc rush off into the distance, where the eastern City of the Academy’s territory lay, the Count City, focused on technological advancements, with one of them being vehicles.
“He’s gone! He promised he would visit you when he retuuuurns!” Elena yelled once Heian Ciemnosc was farther than 3,000 meters away towards the club members, and specifically to Arla. She immediately raised her arms in the distance and screamed in cheers, so did the males and females surrounding her. Finally! They could taste their goddess again!
Of course, neither Elena nor the rest knew Heian Ciemnosc’s Spirit Sense had increased to 8,000 meters. After all, the classroom wasn’t that big, and there were a few steps here and there, making a couple of floors attached to the walls. There were 12,000+ students in each classroom, but they weren’t unduly big.
… Relying on teleporting through portals wasn’t a good thing, no matter how one saw it, and it was also pretty stupid not to know the land their Academy had owned for many Eons. Thus, Heian Ciemnosc’s Master put him on the task. He was to travel from the Academy’s territory to Count City. The place he had to pick up some fruits was just tens of kilometers away from the City he had to go to afterwards.
With his increased might and his 3rd level of the All-Devouring Force Chronicles, Heian Ciemnosc went really fast but barely made any harsh step on even the softest mud on the ground with all his 32,000 kg strength in his legs and his dark Power Energy dissipating any air in front of him that may get in his way. If he didn’t take the road this way, about half a day would be needed to go from the Academy’s territory, pick the fruits, and return.
But with the road being taken this way, Heian Ciemnosc would, at the very least, need 15 hours to complete his mission. It was the wonder of teleportation portals. This could have been impossible even in a few weeks if he had to depend on that commanding vehicle or Evans. That was without counting the possible irregularities that may happen during his first solo mission as a Student.
It was just as Elena said, but not just because of making his Master proud of him, which wasn’t his goal. He had to live up to a Student’s status and not let the Wrath Nihility Academy down. As for making his Master proud, one stupid little mission could not be enough. He had to help Evans become a Second Step Creature to start feeling he was making his Master smile a little warmer. After all, what a Master wanted from their disciple wasn’t to ‘just’ be good or grow strong. It was to surpass them…
With determined thoughts and the liberty of being in charge of only his life, Heian Ciemnosc arrived at the Count City, where registration was quick and efficient. When it was his turn, despite over a thousand people in line before him, only 15 minutes had passed since he formed part of the line that snaked into the Count City and spread at any possible angle.
Clank clank… Pshiiiiunggg, peeww… Clank- tutututu…
Walking through the large City, Heian Ciemnosc was astonished to see every little house, store, and workshop emanating hard-working sounds. Some had their garage or doors open and could be seen working on something. Some had large projects ongoing, a vehicle or oversized robotic personnel for laboring procedures to machinery. He only watched with his naked eye as he was being polite, and even if there were shady things happening in anyone’s house, he couldn’t care. This place wasn’t his, nor did the Academy send him to supervise.
And even if Heian Ciemnosc was a righteous Student, he didn’t have the right to meddle in nor the status.
Heian Ciemnosc also contemplated the robots walking around. They were ‘bare’ without their mechanical parts showing. There wasn’t any attempt to cover their reality. They weren’t designed as droids. Nobody seemed to mind, but that was the most natural thing. There were many Races everywhere. How could they care about a robot? Besides, these were not used as police or security but simply to scan and observe the streets.
There were more security measures around the streets, devices, and array formations that Heian Ciemnosc knew a bit about. They would activate, and the big police and badass security would immediately come. It was one of many things the Academy taught the Sub Students, and many archeological, historical, social, and architecture books in the Academy’s famed library specified about.
Clank… prriii, clank…
‘Hm?’ Just as Heian Ciemnosc walked to the teleportation portal, he heard a notably strange, feeble, and disappointed set of noises. Those were tools sounds hitting against machinery. Turning to his right, Heian Ciemnosc saw a civilian, robust, and stout man with barely some hair on top of his head, and what remained on the sides tried futilely hiding some of that flawless baldness, trying to cross to the other side.
It was within a workshop, and the motor the civilian was working with was just one of many dozens. Looking at the workshop, it seemed enormous, and it must be influential. But the boss, whose emblem on his right chest denominated this was his place, was half kneeling on the ground with his right knee and bent his back in defeat. His right hand caressed over a rusty motor Heian Ciemnosc had only read and seen about in books or through lectures.
Some tools were on the floor, and the man turned his head laterally to look at the motor somewhat hopelessly.
Step, step, step. “Maybe I can help you?” Heian Ciemnosc’s voice traveled into the boss’s ears. The boss looked up, recognizing Heian Ciemnosc’s uniform, jacket, and emblem.
