Chapter 714 — Hundreds Of Millions

Hundreds Of Millions

"What?!" The Sect Master abruptly erupted. Although he wasn't angry, and was disbelieving, even more; he couldn't help but exclaim in a manner everyone else wanted to. The Sect Master's actions granted them a little peace, while Heian Ciemnosc calmly looked at them and calmly elaborated. "I will need your troops, from now on, I will become this Calatida Region's South's supreme commander. It will become the entire Region's supreme commander in the future, but for now, Southern supreme commander will do."

Heian Ciemnosc’s grin brought petulant amazement into their hearts and brains. Even the bold Headmaster looked at Heian Ciemnosc with overly widened eyes, as if she couldn’t believe Heian Ciemnosc would ‘ask’ something so insufferable!

“I will move through these land sections and eliminate anything the enemy’s hands ever reached and the notion they put into your inhabitants. Especially the Southeastern land section. I haven't spent enough time checking on your Forestalress Academy’s territory enough, but I’m certain the situation there will become worse off for your side after the enemy hiding near this land section’s northern oceanic riverbank fled.”

“...” Headmaster Denisse fell silent, but she still couldn’t just accept Heian Ciemnosc’s condition. As for the other trio, they were more conflicted as Heian Ciemnosc showed results, but to give him supreme command over their forces was…

“Commander black monster, you must be aware just how important our troops are. We aren’t ‘trying’ Third Step organizations, but whole, complete ones. We don’t have just a few tens of millions of troops like other organizations would. Our troops are complete, and their discipline is extraordinary. It’s no small number.”

“Yes, and I’m telling you that I will command them from now on, at least on the highest hierarchy basis there will be. ”If the Crimsonbreaking Faction didn’t believe in my faculties for this operation, I would’ve been just another Officer acting as a vice commander. Do you need me to convince you? I don’t need to, you’ve already bowed before me, submitted to me. All you have left is to rebel. Would you?”

“... Commander, are your intentions honest?” The Vice sect master, Floris, said as she gazed at Heian Ciemnosc with narrowed, strict eyes. Heian Ciemnosc looked at her and casually replied, “You’ll see what I am and do in the near future, won’t you?”

“...” Floris was left pensive. She fell silent as her eyes remained on Heian Ciemnosc. The others were the same, except for the Vice headmaster and Assistant Teacher. Finally, Floris sighed before a minute passed. She blew more air from her nostrils before placing her right hand on her sternum.

“Commander black monster, Officer of the Crimsonbreaking Faction… I recognize you as the supreme commander of our allied forces during this operation on behalf of this land, and my Aqualian Drake Sect.”

‘A brave, detailed vow.’ Heian Ciemnosc praised in his heart with narrowed, darkest eyes. The people behind him felt excitement. Besides that, it was as if this was all fitting. They couldn’t put a word to it, but it made them feel right.

“Commander black monster, Crimsonbreaking Faction’s distinguished Officer. My Academy lends you our troops; solider units, auxiliary units, arsenal. They’re yours, supreme commander. Until our alliance and this operation is no longer needed.” Headmaster Denisse said, bowing slightly as she showed her allegiance, so to speak.

Heian Ciemnosc nodded, satisfied with this ‘wholeheartedly’ agreeing vow. He placed his arms to the sides, lowered his shoulders, and nodded upwards. Then, he spoke with a definitive demeanor, “With dedication and diligence, I promise this Calatida Region to grow under the Aqualian Drake Sect and Forestalress Academy— unless I’m betrayed by any of them.”

“... … …” The group bowed, including the annoying Sect Master, at Heian Ciemnosc’s solemn vow. With this, the proof of their alliance has been recognized, with inhabitants forming part of the witness party.

“What would you require of my Academy, supreme commander?” Headmaster Denisse asked, lowering her head courteously before stepping up to stand a few steps before Heian Ciemnosc. It looked like she was used to being his ally since forever.

“I will grab 90% of your soldier units, and 50% of your auxiliary units. Don’t worry about your defensive measures. For now, move half your troops to corner the Southwestern land section’s shores. The largest enemy force should have already left by now, but remain actively on guard. Do not engage, unless someone or something comes running at you, cage them. I will cleanse your territory after I’m finished with the Southeastern land section.”

“As for the defenses of your settlements, your auxiliary units will be taught by mine. They will protect this place, and most of the arsenal you have and will be built will remain here to protect everyone and everything. You cannot suffer a defeat and have one of your settlements, even a remote, unofficial village within your system, be destroyed or occupied by the enemy.”

Heian Ciemnosc saw the Headmaster nod and looked towards the Sect Master. He could’ve spoken to the Vice sect mater instead, who was more keen and had a better heart to learn other’s actions and intentions. But Heian Ciemnosc didn’t, and addressed the man instead.

“Just send your troops to the Small City. An additional 10% of your auxiliary units solely for the purpose of speeding this Small City’s construction.” Then, Heian Ciemnosc once again looked at the 2 groups and calmly added, “Grant me permission to act on your name but remain within my Crimsonbreaking Faction’s authority to recruit and take as many and much as I want.”

“Consider it done, supreme commander,” the Headmaster was the first to speak, with the Grand Elder following suit. “It will be done.”

“My commanding assistant will give you reports of the situation and domestic affairs,” Heian Ciemnosc said as he twisted his torso and looked behind to his right. Etherea looked at the powerhouses before her and bowed slightly with her clipboard tightly held against her chest.

“Lastly, remind everyone in your army, that they will welcome a fundamentally different military system once they arrive here. If they don’t follow, I will punish them. Your hands can no longer interfere in my and your armies’ business from now on, so give them as many details as possible. I’m not shy about killing offenders.”

“... Understood,” the Sect Master spoke this time, and Heian Ciemnosc even lifted his eyebrows, gazing at the azure-haired man. The Headmaster nodded and diligently consented, “Of course!”

“That will be all,” Heian Ciemnosc cracked his neck to the left and right and gave the Bloodless Nightwatcher a glance before saying, “I see you have 2 Fauna mounts available in your Sect. Good. Send a few thousand matured of each, and as many pups as your caretakers can possibly give away. My small force will ensure their upbringing.”

“Supreme commander?” Sect Master Zelion didn’t mind, but he was doubtful. Heian Ciemnosc didn’t hassle and casually explained, “Your mounts are decent, but your methods aren’t. Give them to me, and slowly, with time, you’ll have a better system even after I’m gone. Just hold for a year before you send people to learn about this, alright?”

“U-understood,” the Sect Master nodded shakily. Although no information about the black monster being a top-notch caretaker has ever been spread, during the last few weeks, they’ve even those monstrous 2 Faunas fly around the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s occupied territory. Especially that Dormant Magma Shark, it was terrifying!

“And your Academy can select a few species of mounts, too. Don’t ask me for a pet, or companion Fauna, for that matter. You must learn that at your taste and pace.” Heian Ciemnosc said as he nodded upwards towards the Headmaster, who bowed her head in agreement.

“Alright, that’s all. If you don’t have anything of vital importance to discuss, ask my commanding assistant, and let her know everything you’re doubtful about. Seeing her is the same as talking to me, but I’m too busy, so treat her well. After all, one never knows who is just below whom.” Heian Ciemnosc spoke as he turned around and slowly walked away.

The 2 groups were slightly startled, but didn’t give it much thought and accepted it as it is. Although they were pained because of their troops, considering the stagnancy of their armies behind their walls. They did nothing, other than traveling outside the Medium City to distribute resources, hunt Fauna, and collect flora. Heian Ciemnosc’s options as their supreme commander changed everything, and… perhaps… it was for the best…

They looked at the young woman, a Light Elf, following Heian Ciemnosc silently. But after giving her an eyeful, they did nothing else. Thus, the busy-as-fuck commanding assistant was littered with more heavy loads of work, paperwork, reports, and knowing more people. Meanwhile, Heian Ciemnosc returned to the cottage and assisted his daughter in breaking into the peak of the Soul Spirit realm.

‘Sigh, comm- no, ah ah. Supreme commander, what am I gonna do? I still haven’t received only positive views from the Soldiers and Officers in this military ‘reformation’ you spoke of. They don’t like it at all… Sigh, would it have cost you to not have deliberately exposed your relationship with the Faction’s beauties after being silently pardoned? Sigh, sigh, sigh!’

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

Although Etherea showed professionalism and explicit understanding of the groups, treating them each as Seniors, except for the Giant, whom she politely talked and nodded to. Deep inside, Etherea was swimming in worry and wanted to cry. The supreme commander must be testing her patience and endurance, that must be it! Otherwise, since not even he is doing something to convince his small force of this ‘reform’, why would he let her suffer alone? He just wanted to let her mentally suffer! Hum hum!

Meanwhile, as Etherea ‘discovered’ the ‘hidden’ intentions of Heian Ciemnosc, he was already gobbling Grietta’s thighs up her white skin growing pinker as her lower body remained covered by a long, white dress with herbal scent. They proceeded to the unthinkable behind his daughter’s back and with Molto watching from the side.

Since Tania received it all night before this morning, she peacefully watched from the side beside Molto.

. . .

The days passed, and many events that left the still slightly unconvinced small force of Heian Ciemnosc’s attempts at making a move to their universal military system, feel apprehensive and see the black monster as a terrifying, monstrous mastermind.

Not much happened in the first few days, other than accepting curious, begrudging, and glowing-eyed troops. All Aqualian Drake Sect’s soldier units were at the Mythical realm, and their auxiliary units were between the First and Second Step. It was no joke. Those 2 organizations had to move more than half their gray-clothed members. It was a terrible thought. Only Period-deciding matters would include this mobilization from any Step.

In another 2 weeks, since 3-way the meeting, the Forestalress started sending their troops to the Small City in construction. Everything moved according to the desired effect, although things were just beginning, and a harsh reality proof, iron test had to be put on these newcomers’ shoulders. No matter how high they thought of their ruling, Third Step organization in the initial level, they had to be shell-shocked.

In the beginning, as the Sect’s army arrived for the upcoming days. The Crimsonbreaking Faction’s elite soldier units, no more than 50,000, understood they’d have a lot of work to do. While the military reforms wouldn’t be exhausting on them since they were used to having a strict chain of command, and as cultivators, they could adapt rather easy to ideologies like these. The elites were still dissatisfied.

However, they also had to teach it to the newcomers, so they couldn’t falter here. On one side, it was an order, and it didn’t involve harming themselves or their reputation, which was something no one in the Crimsonbreaking Faction experienced. On another end, it’d be too embarrassing if they, as the ‘teaching’ soldier units, couldn’t discipline the newcomers with their supreme commander’s reforms.

Thus, under Heian Ciemnosc’s 3-day course, the elites learned the new-not-so-new methodology that was only used the most in the Lords’ times of yore.

An authentic army role delegation, with ranks from the lowest to the highest. No matter how used the elite soldier units were to Teams, groups, forces, and armies, they recognized that the implementation of these reforms would make everything much easier.

Even then, knowing a bit of the history of the world, they also realized that the military units the supreme commander set were… too large? Each military unit seemed to have double or triple the size than what they studied earlier in their lives of the Lords’ military methodologies.

Either way, neither the elite soldier units nor the newcomers felt overwhelmed. After all, these reforms would persist until the operation ended. However, the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s troops suddenly had a thought, knowing well their supreme commander was already terrifying when he ‘was’ a commander, just a few weeks back. What if… the black monster was planning to install these reforms into the Crimsonbreaking Faction as a whole?!

No! That cannot happen! They must ensure their Faction wouldn’t fall on this imprudent supreme commander’s hands!

But first, they had to learn, master, and experience these new reforms… Ah, and they seemed fascinating. Things such as ‘in times of war…’ and then, the elite soldier units felt a strange, budding sensation in their blood, as if it coldly boiled in excitement and anticipation.

There were many ranks. At the beginning, they were more or less meaningless, and only those who were immediately sorted from the multitudes and taken into consideration would become leaders of Teams, Squads, and so on. On the other hand, from one point onwards, every significant rank up meant becoming a leading figure of more units and more people just Below them, who were subsequently in charge of those officers who had more soldier units under them.

Furthermore, while the contemporary world’s ‘Generals’ were admittedly the greatest strategists, masterminds, warmongers, and tacticians across the world; unrivaled. The highest rank from land forces here was the Field Marshal. For ‘air forces’ was the Air Force Marshal. And for navies or armadas, it was the Fleet Admiral. Everything was like a brand-new world from a location they thought was without life.

Nevertheless, the elite soldier units weren’t kids, or amateurs, like the newcomers. Thus, they rapidly focused, and when the newcomers finally arrived, they were ready.

Elite soldier units meeting the newcomers didn’t go that smoothly. The former were doing orders, and slightly begrudgingly at that. The latter, on the other hand, had not much tolerance towards ‘just’ 50,000 Life-Long realm cultivators when they were hundreds of millions of Mythical realm soldier units.

However, as the first lessons went through, the newcomers were flabbergasted with the difference between them and the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s elite soldier units. Since those were elite, they thought the difference would be there, and they could reach it. However, thinking and reality were so different…

The organizations’ soldier units didn’t even have time to compete with each other after not seeing each other for a couple of decades when they realized how crucial these lessons, which they thought were unnecessary for full-fledged, Third Step, troops like them, were life-defining.

That was something Heian Ciemnosc didn’t have to worry about. Furthermore, the commanding assistant felt a slight bit of the weigh on her shoulders leave her body when she saw the elite soldier units accept the reforms, even if silently and unwillingly.

In less than a month, all 90% of soldier units and 50% of auxiliary units, with an extra 10% from the Aqualian Drake Sect to help build the Small City fully arrived at it, still in its elementary, construction stage.

From the Aqualian Drake Sect, 360,000,000 solder units, and 600,000,000 auxiliary units arrived, becoming Heian Ciemnosc’s force, and essentially, his army. Besides those, the 120,000,000 extra auxiliary units arrived in the last week. They didn’t come walking and used the Sect’s armored vehicles, from several wheels, to a few, and helicopters.

Many others flew to the Small City in construction with Bloodless Nightwatchers, blue drakes, and a few other flying and terrestrial mounts Fauna. The Aqualian Drake Sect did have some affinity with caretakers and their fruits, but it wasn’t focused towards that specialization.

On the other hand, from the Forestalress Academy, 265,000,000 soldier units, and 442,000,000 auxiliary units arrived at the Small City in construction. Equally, on the same level as the Aqualian Drake Sect, their soldier units were all at the Mythical realm, and their First and Second Step cultivators were the auxiliary units.

In comparison, the Academy’s students were much better behaved. Meanwhile, the Aqualian Drake Sect’s disciples would take longer to rectify and put in their place. As a Sect, the ‘sword’ of the organizations in the world of weapons, it was always placed at the highest. But not without reason.

The Forestalress Academy arrived via transporting spaceships and a few heavy-personnel cargo vessels. Dropping in just 10 days in the last couple of weeks of the month. Bringing a few thousands of Faunas of a few different species for caretaking purposes.

Heian Ciemnosc occasionally checked how things went, sometimes instructing the vice commanders and their subordinates regarding some doubts and ideas they had. They weren’t teachers, so their teaching capabilities were limited. Heian Ciemnosc could fix that, but only by slowly doing so, with time, would they learn how to teach better.

Even then, after everyone arrived, it was estimated to take 3 months for these newcomers to adapt. As for experience, they’d receive as soon as Heian Ciemnosc gave the order, and the Southeastern land section would bathe in the flames of the whole territory-scale operation! To cleanse it off the enemy hiding in the settlements.

However, that would come in due time. For now, all Heian Ciemnosc was busy with other than taking his daughter for strolls, letting her familiarize with her new maids, the sudden growth of his army, which she will partake of in a distinctive, strange position in the near future. He managed the auxiliary units.

There was a lot to do before those 3 months when the army would become as disciplined as possible, at least in theory. These auxiliary units weren’t just to assist Craftspeople in the future.

For starters, the auxiliary units were brainwashed into thinking they now belonged to an entire new group, an alliance. Thus, all auxiliary units became one group altogether, without distinction from their organization, led by the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s auxiliary units.

In total, Heian Ciemnosc’s army consisted of 1.162 billion auxiliary units, all ready to get on the move. After they were trained by 300,000 auxiliary units, between the 2 villages up north and the Small City in construction, they were spread throughout the Southeastern land section.

Foremost, the supreme commander black monster mobilized the 120 million extra auxiliary units from the Aqualian Drake Sect to help with the Small City.

Since the Forestalress Academy’s hidden enemy cultivators weren’t more than a couple of hundred thousands at most, their 40,000,000 soldier units were enough to cage them in their territory. With enough array formations and Fauna to help keep track of any moves.

And because Heian Ciemnosc wouldn’t go there and remodel the settlements with enemies still within, he spread 1.042 billion auxiliary units as follows: 40% —462,800,000— auxiliary units were sent everywhere to plan and accommodate for the towns once the enemy was taken down. 20% —208,400,000— auxiliary units immediately planned and acted to build 18 outposts across the Southeastern land section.

5% —52,100,000— auxiliary units would be deployed to the villages. Another 28% —291,760,000— auxiliary units were immediately put to heavy work everywhere around the Small City. Furthermore, while the other percentages were waiting, they, along with some elite soldiers, including Heian Ciemnosc’s Eternal Return Team, infiltrated the settlements where enemies hid.

While towns weren’t dangerous, there were still a handful of hidden enemy cultivators. If this news traveled outside the Aqualian Drake Sect’s territory, it would be disadvantageous and unfavorable.

Most importantly, the remaining 7% —72,940,000— auxiliary units were directing the future transportation of materials and of engineering logistics. Like this, everything was set for the rise of the Heraxle Clan’s side!

For the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s ascendance!

Let It Rain's note: So, here you can see the Kingdom/Army building elements. There is no 'light' to this, since it is what it is. But this novel is just not purely about them. Especially when HC doesn't stay there or attaches no importance to what he leaves behind. There is still time, maybe a volume? *sinister smile* Before something similar finally begins, phew. I can already feel my little notebook's exhaustion.

—Also, if HC was to found an org, which would it be? Hm? *more sinister smile*.
