The 'Fall' Of The Lsefattern Upper Kingdom
“We'll give 20 days to every Region in the Lsefattern Kingdom, even if you’re under someone else's rule or subjugated by another Region. You can send your message to us, and the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory will send their troops to liberate you. Everyone under the Chief's command is a Crimson. Anyone who wishes to harm this, or impede the realization of any Region to the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory, will become the hateful enemy of the Crimsons. You will be deemed as traitor to this Universal Land.”
“Those who do not express their surrender to the Crimsonbreaking Faction, prepare. This is your last warning. From thereon, no surrender will be granted to you. You will be beaten ‘till the last of you can’t stand.” Etherea lightly declared. Then, she constantly moved her head to look at the sides.
“The Crimsonbreaking Faction has decided upon these procedures. In 20 days, the Lsefattern Kingdom may experience aerial disturbance on a continual basis. All civilians should shelter far from any settlement, only villages, towns, cities, and Cities will become the target of the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory. Everything else will become a safe zone for civilians. Should there any cultivators hide among them, in the open or among the shadows, you’ll be apprehended. Do not test our new radars. This is it for the territory’s notice. Does anyone around me disagree? If so, speak up.”
The people around the Lsefattern Kingdom widened their eyes. There was no exception, besides infants and Faunas/Faunae. The Crimsonbreaking Faction territory’s actions only grew from monumental to Kingdom-deciding. Now, they were the ones deciding, nothing in between. They had thrown the Kingdom into disorder, with wars everywhere, born from nothing and nowhere.
Now, they were living under constant war. If there was something even the ignorant begging for war wanted after a few years like this, it was for everything to stop. The Crimsons set their word high, but… they were doing it simply at the right moment. Would they really travel tens or hundreds of millions of kilometers to rescue their Regions? How could they even stay there? Their numbers are still less than the rest of the Region.
However… it was a change they didn’t want to miss. To be rescued by the Crimsons? That… felt so good, somehow.
“…” Etherea received no word. Her eyes changed, and she looked at the camera. However, as this happened, the camera had smoothly moved a little backwards, and the angle changed to slightly above her eye level. She became silent as she looked ahead. The meeting room turned into a waiting momentum as the camera continued to backtrack even more.
“Hmm.” Suddenly, the camera blinked again. This time, when the screen returned to color, another person sat about 2 meters before the camera. Heian Ciemnosc casually sat there, grasping his chin with a thoughtful expression. Then, he placed his palms on the table, wearing a fashionable dark coat and clothes beneath. He nodded lightly. “Commence. Ascend the armada.”
BEEP. The digital screens and holograms were suddenly turned off. The civilians were taken aback, immediately discussing what they heard. However, soldier units, even citizens, let alone cultivators, widened their eyes. It wasn’t the news anchor that was disconnected… everything was cut off…!
The civilians only realized about this a quarter of an hour later. When they understood that they couldn’t even use electricity, they hurried to try other things and were glad to see the water, gas, and mechanical items still worked. However, any device became useless.
As time had it, coincidentally, night was approaching. When the stars were more visible and brighter than before, at their homes, and silence was strengthened with the lack of electricity and machinery… they looked up.
Suddenly, countless little blobs of light slightly flickered from their outer perimeter in the sky as they left the Kingdom’s aerial territory. Some blobs of light flew sideways, heading into space. Others directly soared into the sky. However, all of them left a tiny trail from small and medium engines where they went. All of them indicated they came from… the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory.
When the blobs of light moved too far from the Kingdom, and neared space, their figures became clearer. The Lsefattern Kingdom watched as these were recognized. Civilians and organizations’ members alike exclaimed.
“Aren’t those spaceships?!” - “Wait… the Crimsons can build spaceships now?” - “Uh… this… isn’t that illegal?” - “They aren’t using them to bombard from orbit…” - “Yeah, there’s nothing ‘wrong’ with that. I… what are they doing, then?” - “… Ah, god!” - “What?” - “Isn’t it obvious?” - “…”
… Far above the Lsefattern Kingdom, in space. Within the Kingdom’s space territory.
The sudden rise of spaceships alarmed the orbiting space stations. They weren’t dumb. Even they could notice the anomaly in the Region. Anything that worked with electricity was neutralized. The entire Kingdom was engulfed in darkness. Meanwhile, they were fine, but those spaceships moved towards them.
Within 40 minutes, thousands, thousands, thousands, and thousands of spaceships practically invaded the Lsefattern Kingdom’s space territory. No communications were exchanged, however. Both sides remained silent, as quiet as space, with only structures and Elemental Poisoning in between.
Finally, there was a contact between the orbiting space stations and the spaceships, whose emblem was none other but from the Crimsonbreaking Faction. This one was different. Unlike the original, it had an additional drawing at the side of the Stormy Calm Sea and the surrounding ocean.
“This is the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory’s Captain. Space station, respond,” a voice entered the orbiting space station’s comms. They nervously gulped and stared at each other before their chief manager took the call. “This is space station #!$%. Captain? What rank is that? Whose your commander?”
“This Captain is the boss here, ‘sir’.” The voice from before responded. It was akin to a lightning strike shocking the orbiting space station’s central command. They looked at each other, aware of the apprehension in each other’s eyes. The chief manager pushed a button to speak again, but before he could, the Captain swiftly demanded, “Down with your locked systems on my spaceships. Surrender. Open the docks. Then kneel. I want every personnel inside to yield to the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory.”
“If you don’t comply, my spaceships will act to defend the Lsefattern Kingdom’s stability. You’ve been warned for only 30 seconds. Decide,” the Captain’s voice echoed throughout the orbiting space station.
Immediately, thousands of VIP guests went to their spaceships and sped away to their maximum speed. They didn’t even bother expressing who they were. The Crimsons let most of them go once their detectors confirmed their identities and the like. However, some were detained and stopped in space before they could even leave the orbiting space station’s perimeter.
The space stations had many things to worry about, but the only thing they could do was to acquiesce if they didn’t want to die. They didn’t know what the Crimsons ate, but those Frigates, Destroyers, and the few Cruisers compelled the space station’s personnel to choose fast. Yet, some of them wanted to remain independent… and rich.
“Very well,” after 30 seconds were up, the Captain’s voice sounded again. This, and many other orbiting space stations, decided to not say anything or directly refute the Crimsons’ words. The space stations’ arsenal was activated, and the two sides faced each other. The Captain’s Cruiser rotated leftwards, while the Frigates faced the space station, and the Destroyers sideways.
Then, with all spaceships aligning their best angles to send all their arsenal firepower after the 30 seconds passed by, the Captain’s voice sounded one last time. “Stupidity will be the Crimsons’ supply from now on.”
And then, everything blew into proportions nobody would have imagined…
TA- RA… POH… POH… POH… PUH… PUH… PUH… PUH… PUH…
The spaceships fired the first shots, and missiles. The space stations barely fired some machine guns, shells, and launched missiles, when they were all targeted by the Crimson arsenal. Whichever projectile they sent, it became debris, with not even explosions coming off from missiles forced to detonate.
Before a minute was over, the space stations’ light green and green protective barriers crumbled, leaving the space stations vulnerable like bubbles bursting in slow motion. Their chief managers attempted to surrender once this happened, as the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory wasn’t bluffing. However, they were immediately blown into stagnant fire and debris shooting into space and down the Kingdom’s surface.
BOOOOM! BOOOOOM! TAAAAAALLL! BOOOOOOOOM!!!!
The remaining people within the orbiting space stations barely reacted when they saw everything blow up around them, leaving nothing behind. As this happened, the slight majority of space stations who surrendered to the Crimsons just in case watched with horror.
Their hearts and butt cheeks clenched, wondering what it would’ve been of them had they not chosen this path. As they did, the Crimsons entered the space station as if stepping inside a house made of branches and leaves. The soldier units apprehended every personnel, temporarily imprisoning the other people who remained in the space station.
When the auxiliary units entered, it was even more exaggerated. After training for over a decade, they felt disgusted even when they entered the large space stations. They felt as if every step they made was forcing their faces to slam against poop and terrible memories.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
They hadn’t taken their seniors’ words to heart, but now that they saw it, they realized how right their seniors were. In the end, they must scrap everything and start from zero. Wasn’t it better to just bombard them all? Although… at least some materials could still be useful.
… On the other hand, the civilians watched as the typical ‘stars’ in the sky suddenly became bigger for a few minutes before dissipating. A few meteorites could be seen rushing towards the ground before being fired into smoke by a few Fighters overflying the sky. These were too far away from the ground, a few hundred thousand kilometers above, so the Regions below couldn’t touch them. Either way, the Lsefattern Kingdom watched as spaceships casually went into orbit and massacred the space stations.
“What the hell just happened?” - “Why would they attack the space stations?” - “It doesn’t make sense? I mean, they could’ve been in cahoots with the Dynasty, the Empire, or the Nation… Who knows?” - “That must be it. After the Crimsons’ notice, it’s obvious they don’t want others…”
The civilians discussed as they couldn’t believe why this just happened. They weren’t well aware of the importance of these space stations, as even endless generations of civilians never visited one. They hardly visit other zones in their Region, let alone an orbiting space station. As for why the Crimsons did it, it was simple. They could gain so many advantages over the Lsefattern Upper Kingdom once they reconstructed every orbiting space station to their liking.
Own the skies, and the situation below will always remain under one’s eyes. With this, even if the Lsefattern Kingdom’s Regions ordered materials and supplies through shadowy contacts, the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory became the Kingdom’s space territory’s owners.
Furthermore, with this blockade, albeit soft, considering their numbers. The Crimsonbreaking Faction territory could jam everyone’s communications in whichever part of the Kingdom whenever they wanted. The enemy Regions’ communications could be pried on, and with the specialized engineers at work, they’d reveal everything to the Crimsons. Who else to cooperate in these than Molto, Elyor, and their people?
Of course, they haven’t given up assassinating, but their assassins forces couldn’t just do without proper, specialized citizens and engineers. This could be considered the assassin forces’ supplementation they lacked. Nothing could stop them from revealing their full potential.
Nevertheless, the news anchors across the Kingdom rapidly noticed these things. Several days went by with the Lsefattern Kingdom becoming silent, as even those within the same Region couldn’t communicate over large distances except for Soul or Spirit Sense messaging. The wars suddenly stopped, reminding the Kingdom what it was like before the Kingdom’s erupting wars.
Slowly, the days passed, and soon, 3 weeks would have gone by. When the 20th day arrived, the Kingdom’s civilians were nervous. Not many thought about recurring to find a way so they could beg the Crimsons. One thing was to be rescued by them, but the other was to be warred by them. They might indicate the completely opposite. Not much brain was needed to decipher something like this.
As a matter of fact, less than 40% of the Kingdom’s Regions contacted the Crimsons and decisively surrendered to the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory. Most of them were losers of many wars, currently vassals or ‘lower’ than their peers, who won the war instead. Only a minority were afraid of the Crimsons.
When most Regions patiently waited for the day to end, some Regions struggled to achieve their desire to survive. Some 3* and even 2* Regions, which bent other Regions to their prowess, were under heavy stress as some Regions under them wished to claim the Crimsons’ invitations. They wanted to cut those Regions’ hands and impede their separation. The Crimsons have never suffered from separatism. How could they fail to accomplish the same?
Within the last 2 hours in the 25 hours a day of the 20th day. The Crimson received up to 22 more notifications from Regions, of which some even spoke in the name of other Regions’ leading figures, with the last wisp of their Souls inscribed into the message.
… In the same meeting room they once showed to the world, Heian Ciemnosc sat with his inner circle, specifically with his subordinates and the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s Universe realm cultivators. After receiving the last surrendering notice 2 minutes before the 21st day arrived, he smiled and clapped his overly pale hands.
“Well, that’s it. No time to waste. Get to work,” Heian Ciemnosc said before standing up to walk outside the room. Etherea and the others looked at his back before she nodded. Then, she stood up and walked out as well. Her expression might be calm and expressionless, but her medallion was ringing like crazy. The others followed suit, wearing stern expressions on their faces as they nodded to each other before going on their own ways.
“… Look! The electricity is back!” - “Yeaah!” - “Hey, do you think something will happen soon? Isn’t it scary?” - “Ah, it doesn’t matter. We’ll move to an open space later, when we can… what’s that noi-” The Lsefattern Kingdom welcomed electricity, and all devices worked again.
Immediately, organizations ruling their respective 1*, 2*, and even 3* Regions contacted others they had exchanged words with. However, some of them had strange expressions, while others were infuriated. Through a quick exchange, not only did they realize their conversations were being spied on, and that they couldn’t contact farther away from their Region. But that some of their Regions were suddenly joining other Regions, which coincided with each other’s ‘traitorous’ Regions. In the end, they guessed that the Crimsons gave those Regions, which surrendered, a method to contact each other.
However, before they could make a move on them…
“Sirs, ma’ams!” A person rushed from the outside, wearing a sweaty expression with frightened, overly widened eyes. “There are hundreds of Frigates and I- I think a dozen Destroyers coming here. Our radars only showed us when they were too close, they- gaasp… They will arrive in 2 minutes.”
“Don’t fire at them! They’ll use that to bombard us with the Destroyers! Ready the troops, we’re not a Region they can think of offending like the unprepared territory they’ve taken!” A leading figure from a 2* Region said, forming a tight fist.
The leading figures looked at each other and nodded, but as they were planning to welcome the Crimsons, the Destroyers and Frigates overflying the skies passed through numerous enemy Regions. They ignored the machine guns, artillery guns, and launched missiles attempting to damage them. Instead, they directly headed to the Regions who surrendered, offering them their first mobilization and hand.
When the Lsefattern Kingdom realized the Crimsons’ actions, a series of stern and strict measures followed. They hadn’t expected the Crimsons’ preparations. They were using spaceships as personnel cargo! Who knew how many spaceships the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory had. Yet, thousands of spaceships flew towards each assignment.
Suddenly, some weak Regions felt left out, starting to regret their choice to remain silent. Yet, they hoped the Crimsons would fail. After all, if the Crimsons knew something, it was to kill and destroy. No matter how capable they were, to recuperate and aid others in times of need wasn’t something they could just start doing out of nowhere, right?
Unfortunately for them, the Regions were given methods to contact and identify other Regions who had surrendered, allowing some to directly act, and others to wait for the right opportunity. Said opportunity arrived quickly.
What the enemy didn’t know because their radars and detectors were failing, and the spaceships flew about 100,000 kilometers above the ground level, was that they were thousands of spaceships, not ‘just’ several hundreds.
When the moment came, and the Destroyers barraged any enemy troops and projectiles trying to stop them from landing, Fighters flew out and delivered a downpour of bullets and rained missiles on the enemy Regions. It started with every settlement turned to fire before an enormous smoke drifted into the sky, marking the beginning of the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s occupation… of the whole Lsefattern Kingdom.
Then, it continued with the enemy organizations in the Regions suffering harassment from the Fighters. Each assignment led to thousands of spaceships, of which at least 100 were Destroyers, flying to different Regions. How could the number of Fighters be little? Nearly a spaceship Carrier’s number of Fighters flew into the sky, ignoring the toughest enemy defensive points, targeting everything else.
Even Small Cities weren’t safe, and these fell after a couple of thousand Fighters made 2 passes, with battle array formations employed between the Teams or pilots inside them. While the surrendered Regions received this help first, and they knew to head towards the Crimsons, ignoring the risk, the rest of the Kingdom suffered the same bombardment once the rescuing operations were initiated.
Yet again, wars erupted everywhere in the Lsefattern Kingdom. However, this time, it wasn’t disorderly. Virtually, there were 2 sides to all these wars, the Lsefattern Kingdom and the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory.
Those who didn’t surrender, those who tried to stop others from surrendering, and those who have conquered other Regions and also didn’t surrender were invaded by air. The spaceships didn’t do much damage at first, until they had to land, but the Fighters flew away from their Flotillas beforehand. When their spaceships began descending, they rushed into the enemy Regions and bombarded everything alive, non-living, and that wasn’t a civilian shelter.
No village, town, city, or path was forgiven. Dozens of missiles rained from the sky every minute, bringing 1* Regions to thunderous conflict. The 2* Regions only suffered more and constant bombardment, with a plethora of Fighters dominating their skies, passing and scouting through the Regions’ territories despite having razed everything into smoke.
Only the enemy organizations’ individual territories or forts were left. But these would be taken care of by the soldier units, who cold-bloodedly marched to these and the Cities, left to them to eat them at their pace. It was their job to deal with the rest of the Region while the surrendered people were brought to the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory.
What the Regions who didn’t surrender couldn’t realize due to their erratic communications, let alone the long-blocked Universal Conveyance, was that the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory wasn’t just attacking them and rescuing the surrendered Regions.
The entire Kingdom was entirely by the Crimsons’ first move. First by air and then by land, too. This was barely the first day of the war, where tens of billions of enemy cultivator soldier units were just preparing to defend their Regions and new territory, and repel the Crimsons. They were unaware that the Crimsons’ reach extended everywhere. In the end, too many Regions ended as the weaker link after they were defeated.
With so many dissatisfied results after wars that sprouted from nowhere, no matter how guilty the Crimsons were for these events, the afflicted Regions hated their new ‘masters’. With the entire Kingdom bathing in those wars, when the Crimsonbreaking Faction made their move, they received surrendering notices from all over the Kingdom. It was only a matter of time before the Crimsons continued increasing their military forces amid the war so that… little by little, chunks, and dots of Regions in the Kingdom fell under their hands.
With this, and a never-ending, constant war across the Regions, from one group of Regions to another. The Lsefattern Kingdom would bathe in even more blood for the years to come. The enemy Regions wouldn’t have enough time to congregate, as they became surrounded after being mid-bombarded, and their communications rendered practically useless.
As for the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory suffering retaliation for their all-out mobilization. The majority of the Regions they allied before stopping their first expansion in the mainland at the 7th year, joined them with a clearer surrender after being neighbors for a few years. The rest was as easy as pie.
With the Lsefattern Kingdom cut off from the outside world, only the Crimson news anchor propagated the scenes of dozens of Regions annexed into the Crimsonbreaking Faction territory every few months. It was a breathtaking sight, to say the least.
…
