The Royal Princess's First Battle, Ground Battle
Somewhere far from the battlefield, both naval and the incoming ground battle was about to take place as a digit around a million of the top 5 organizations' soldier units galloped and flew towards the shores. Inland, within a tiny forest.
"Respected sir, how is it?" In a small group of 7, 2 were behind the leader in the group as the other 4 were with their backs hunched and their heads low. The latter were higher-ups from the top 5 organizations except the True Dragon House, which didn't need to pay their respects this way. The former was the top 5 organizations' obvious-secret backer and some friends he brought with him from who knew where. The leader thus answered without moving his face away from the sky above the Green Emirate Grotto's shore. "Why do you ask so much? I had decided... not to engage Heian Ciemnosc today."
“Gasp.” - “Le- leader? Did som- why is that so?” - “What should we do then, leader?” The 4 subservient higher-ups politely asked, shocked to see the eager leader suddenly go back on the matter that had been exiting him for already a bit of a long time. The other 2 behind their leader looked at each other confusedly before returning to face his back and keeping silent. The leader looked down at the shore one last time before turning around and walking in a lazy manner towards their little encampment.
The reason was simple. More than what the others thought. As someone who had gone ‘away’ when the 10 year war erupted, the leader’s guts were more precise, and he was more trained to listen to his instincts. Thus, when the leader felt his shoulders get colder and his palms as if invisible, tiny tentacles tried to pry into his skin, he no longer felt that besieging Heian Ciemnosc with so few people was smart. But… would he explain such things to others?
“I’ve decided not to. There’s nothing else to it.” The leader began, “We will bring more, perhaps. Only then will I be sure the Empress will show up. She can’t let the Academy’s little black monster. Even more so when they sent him here as her Empire’s protector and Region’s assigned supervisor. If I’m gonna do something…”
The leader stopped in his tracks, let the subservient higher-ups feel strange, and looked at each other before turning his head around, twisting his neck, and saying with fierce, narrowed eyes. “When I do something, I at least make sure that one thing goes good, and nothing will fuck me up time and again! Maybe you should listen to some of that advice. Heh. Have you even learned something other than to use the toys I’ve bought for you? Work harder.”
“...” - “...” - “..” - “..” - “Heng~.” - “Kuku.” The 4 subservient higher-ups fell silent while the 2 leader’s followers sneered and chuckled before walking past them and joining the leader in a walk. They chatted and conversed as if they had just come out of work and were about to whore around. The abandoned 4 subservient fellas looked at each other before engaging in Soul communication, starting with an annoyed Wyrm Lord Nation, “I can’t believe this! He is polite and gentlemanly with our leaders but behaves like our enslaver!”
“Careful with what you say, or more resources and young ones will disappear from your organization next,” the higher-up from the Blue Emirate Grotto said with a sullen face. The Sand Emirate Grotto’s higher-up chipped in to calm things down. “It is understandable. He has to respond to the Academy in a proxy war… more or less. Anyway, that situation was awful, but it hasn’t happened again. It was a mistake, and he recognized it.”
“Easy for you to say,” the Green Emirate Grotto’s higher-up interrupted, revealing a sullen face and depressed eyebrows. They looked at him questioningly while the Blue Emirate Grotto’s higher-up looked at the former as if seeing his organization’s reaction to strange occurrences when it first happened. Sure enough, the latter’s guesses were spot on as the Green Emirate Grotto’s higher-up said, “We’ve been receiving notifications that many of your young misses and some boys have been brutally vandalized, let in rivers and open fields bare.”
“They were barely living, but… their marks and injuries are the same… I know some things are untold that either happen or not, a lot or a little, necessary or not… But,” the Green Emirate Grotto’s higher-up looked towards the shore and gnashed his teeth. “When I see something like this… sometimes I just wish the Aca- no, the Blauw Empire just conquers us, and we can go back to not having to suffer internally, while dying out there! In a crucial war!!”
“...” - “...” - “...” - “...” The top 5 organizations’ higher-ups, except the True Dragon House, fell silent again, this time for a longer time as they pondered on the spot before departing the tiny forest. The obscure forest looked a little more tranquil with the top 5 organizations and their backer gone, and for once, a pale young man floating high up in the sky became slightly less stressed.
… Behind a several thousand-kilometer long energy barrier, protecting the Empire’s soldier units from the faraway machine guns and some anti-missile turrets protecting them from a few flying missiles from the sea or further into the land. Blauw Ishikyy had her back against the energy barrier, as many others, while the crew members from her Frigate found her after the general meeting before the ground battle started finished.
“Chief, how was it?” Since the Warrant Officer had given his leading position away but kept his rank, the Imperial Guards and citizens could only call the royal princess by such a word instead of her status or real name out loud. Blauw Ishikyy nodded towards them before stepping away from the barrier. She calmly but slightly solemnly elaborated, “We follow previous accorded steps, but our situation is dangerous.”
“Sigh, the enemy coming at us has a little more than a third of our numbers, but we can’t wait for the First fleet’s separate forces to arrive and let them attack us. We are also barely more than 200 Frigates reaching here, with just a scarce amount of survivors picked up by a few Frigates. The enemy is a third bigger than us, while we’ve lost more than a third of our original number. This is it, guys.” Blauw Ishikyy said, cracking her neck’s bones before looking at her slowly nodding crew members.
Beep~. “... All Fighter pilots, take your babies out and start floating. You will engage in battle in less than 1 minute!” Suddenly, Blauw Ishikyy heard a message from her medallion and looked at the girlfriend who had been with her all this time and the Warrant Office from her Frigate. They also received the same message. They nodded at her, to which Blauw Ishikyy looked at the remaining experts of her Frigate before looking at the few thousand soldier units fore the Frigate.
“We’re moving out. Everyone, get ready to greet your victims.” - “Hua!!” Her crew members heard her and shouted. It would be a most-bloody day, and the morning was still far from their moment! Blauw Ishikyy’s Frigate and every other Frigate at the shore started moving. Hundreds of thousands of the Blauw Empire’s soldier units moved back and forth as 3 Fighters flew from each Frigate, auto-piloted to fly towards the shore as their respective pilot entered it.
Each Frigate would bring around 50 soldier units onto the battlefield, so they had to min-max the small space of these Fighters, even as they were each Bulldog type. That was a lot of trips, but the Fighters were the fastest vehicle/spaceship the Blauw Empire could make and couldn’t fabricate any other spaceship, not even Frigates enmasse. Having only a few tens of spaceship Frigates instead of a few thousand naval Frigates was pure stupidity.
Beep~. “... When you see one of the enemy Battleships bury into the sea… you will start the operation.” Another command sounded from their medallions, and each pilot in their respective Fighter was already up in the sky and to take off hundreds of kilometers from the shore. The enemy had no such advantage. All they could use were mounts and flying devices or tools. But the Empire had hundreds of Fighters, and they only needed 3 or fewer minutes to advance this distance at the maximum speed.
Because the Fighters were partially spaceships, although mainly made for aerial battles, the citizens wouldn’t be troubled by the force it flew, unlike in the warships. Time passed, and a minute was almost over when the Fighters’ pilots opened a screen that showcased a camera angle from behind. Zooming in, they watched the intense battle the enemy Carrier and Battleships were going through, sending rocket launchers to each other and deviating a few to land on the other side’s unsuspecting warships. The primary game was to find which were meant for the other warships and strike them before they lost any more.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
“!” Suddenly, Blauw Ishikyy’s brightest, cutest aquamarine, azure eyes widened as she seemed to discern something. Sure enough, the next second, 1 GFD shot at one of the battleships right after both sides thundered with rocket launchers, surprising the enemy and taking their shield off at once. Their deck was brutally exploded into melted metal and disintegrated bodies, but it was still standing. That was when 3 Cruisers shot their LBFD’s last round of rockets and finished the job, leveling floor after floor from the gigantic enemy Supreme class Battleships until nothing remained.
Peeeeeeeew~! Peew! Peew! Peew! Peew! Peww! WHOOOOOSHHH~~!
Hundreds and hundreds of Fighters advanced towards the deeper inland territory, but all enemy attention was taken away by the destruction of one of their Battleships before the reinforcements arrived. However, the enemy Carrier had enough capacity to do something, and they weren’t afraid of breaking untold rules now that they were losing, and immediately launched rocket launchers towards the shore, endangering hundreds of thousands of lives from the Empire at once!
Pfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpf- Pfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpf~! The nearest Battleship used one of its HD rocket launchers several times to intercept the enemy rockets. Even as the Fighters flew, their pilots didn’t turn the screen off and showed everything that happened. Besides, the radars could be read by any Spirit Sense inside the Fighters. They and every warship in battle could see smoke and gushing water bubbles everywhere from both Battleship and enemy Carrier as rockets enveloped the sky again, for the second time in this battle.
The flying of rockets only increased, however. As the enemy Carrier and the Empire’s Battleship kept engaged in a fiery ‘discussion’ over morals, the remaining enemy Battleship aimed its every toy and rocket launcher at the Battleship. The worst part of this was that the enemy Carrier changed its aim to do the same and that the Battleship in question was the one that lost its shield from the mid-start of the battle!
Pfpfpfpfpfpf- pfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpfpf~! Ta rararara- rarararara! Pum! Pum! Pum!- Pum! Pum!... Boom! BOOM! BOOM! Boom! Boom! Boom! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Rockets, bullets, and missiles flew towards the unprotected Battleship. The Border Wall could only take in so much of each and let the rest land on the Battleship, letting it bathe in fire, explosions, and death. Nevertheless, the Battleship didn’t back down, and even as the firepower that could reach him forced its destructed bow down and started sinking, it kept firing even from underwater at the enemy Carrier and remaining Battleship.
Pum! Pum! Pum! Pum! - Pum! Pum! Pum! Pum! Ta rarararararara- rarararararara! Pfiush, pfiush, pfiush, pfiush! Pfiush, pfiush, pfiush, pfiush! Pfpfpfpfpfpfpfpf! PFPFPFPFPFPFPFPFPFPFPFPF!
The other Battleship and Carrier weren’t slow, but they were the last to join the sudden all-out battle. After the enemy bathed their shield-less Battleship with missiles, bullets, and rockets, and it began sinking, the Empire’s Carrier and other Battleship engaged in heavy fire, letting it all out against the enemy while the Border Wall did its best to protect the sinking Battleship, but the enemy started aiming at the water still.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
From underwater and the stern, the Battleship’s crew members started abandoning the warship, saving themselves as the Rear Admiral stayed, but the team of experts was safely evacuated. The idea was also that the Rear Admiral would be rescued, but who could bring them away when they were the strongest and those with the highest status in their warship? Their house, their rules. Thus, the sinking Battleship was only operated by the sheer willpower, Spirit Sense, and Soul of the Rear Admiral.
Even then, the Battleship didn’t seem less capable than when it was controlled by the team of experts. As their more than a million Imperial Guards, Imperial Elders, some Imperial Teachers, and citizens fled from the Battleship, they hurriedly moved into the skies where the Border Wall could give them enough protection until they reached the safe zones to construct a temporary base. Just then, the Carrier opened its hatches, and thousands of Fighters came out and began destroying the enemy warships, ignoring the enemy Carrier and remaining Battleship but flying near them.
“Come ooooon!” - “Charge! Fuck it, Come on!” - “Forward!!” - “Motherfuckers! How dare they?! AGGH!” - “Follow me… follow me! Let’s kill them all!” The Empire’s side became incensed, reacting to the green light from their requests to rush forwards. Every warship moved at top speed towards the enemy’s side, barring them with so many bullets that they could barely care about the missiles and Empire’s Fighters flying everywhere, harassing and bombarding them nonstop. It was an utter vendetta, and the Carrier and other Battleship were all for it as they continued raining their entire arsenal at the enemy Carrier and remaining Battleship.
Ta rarararara… pum! Pum!... Pum!... Pum!... pfpfpfpf… pfiush, pfiush!...
When the sinking Battleship was finally underwater, with its stern just became obscured by the ocean, and as its active machine guns and artillery were minimal, the enemy Carrier and Battleship’s shields were down, and their structure started melting down to the Empire’s sheer, concentrated, vindictive fire. The sinking battleship’s missiles and rocket launchers were already exhausting themselves, leaving the storage nearly empty but still functional as the Battleship continued to sink…
KAAAAA-... BOOOO… OOOOO… OOOO… OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM~~~~!!
After nearly an hour of fighting like this, the sinking Battleship, whose firepower became limited to a couple machine guns firing at the enemy Fighters whose Carrier was already about to melt down into the water, finally reached its end. The idea of the Rear Admiral remaining and being rescued didn’t come up until it was finally blown up. Everyone, including the enemy, took a moment to look at the death of a monstrous leader with their most powerful weapon.
… ta rararararara, rararara… rararara… rararara… pfisuh, boom!... Boom!... Boom! Pfpfpfpfpf!
The battle suddenly became silent. Even though bullets caused insane illumination everywhere above the water's surface, the in-between of everything was noiseless, as if everyone was deaf to the communicated orders and fighting sounds. Even dying cultivators or citizens were silent, and the Empire’s side continued fighting to the top of their limits, revealing their potential and massacring the enemy, no matter how well they did.
“Sir! We are losing too many! We need to evacuate!” - “NO!” - “The Carrier is gone already! Even our Fighters are far surpassed by theirs! We must leave!” - “Shuut uuuup!” In the remaining enemy Battleship, the Fleet’s new commander denied the idea of giving up after ordering all warships to aim at the shield-less Empire Carrier and Battleship. And suddenly, as if gracing him for his effort, the communications channel between Fleet commanders sounded.
“Someone asked for a little help? Heheh! Where are those azure monkeys? The True Dragon House has arrived!!” - “!!” The new Fleet commander’s eyes widened as he started chatting with the reinforcements. Although they were only 1 Fleet from the True Dragon House, it was enough to turn the tides!!
“... No!! We lost a Battleship! Holy fuck!” - “I can’t believe it… how… dammit!” - “Keep going, ah, keep going!! We will burn every single one of them to the ground. Under our feet! For the Empire! Fuck!” - “HUA!!” - “...” Back at the shore, Blauw Ishikyy remained silent since seeing a great leader fall in battle. She never imagined she would see it herself, and knowing everything this meant, unlike most others, she felt many strange things deep within her. She couldn’t properly put them in order, but one thing was certain… a raging fire within her called her to battle!
To battle! Bathe herself in flesh and blood! To murder!!
Beep~. “Woooooooooohouaaaaww!” - “Wooohooooww!” - “Wuaaauwww!”
“!!!” But suddenly, as the inland soldier units and the Empire’s warships were receiving information of another enemy Fleet coming over, their open communication channel between the Empire’s fleets sounded. From them… from them came the call for victory!
“The First fleet is here!!” - “What timing…” The channels were filled with the sighing and dull words of soldier units and officers, simply expressing their goddamn feelings at the arrival of their most-required reinforcement. Only now do they understand how lonely they were compared to the top 5 organizations. They simply had too many Fleets… However, the First fleet didn’t come with just their presence.
“That shore is ours! That land is ours! This Region will remain ours!!” - “We saw everything… now, we’ll let every single one of those cowards hiding under their blankets… what is like to feel desperation and hopeless as if you could be eaten away the next instant.” - “Open up!! Coming in with a big surprise!!”
The last phrase wasn’t words but an order. The Third Admiral’s words brought everyone to their highest spirits. Then, everyone witnessed, without having to look back, how the water fore and under their warship illuminated a mighty, pristine, azure starred blue color. This was the First Fleet’s Border Wall. They used it first in the entire world, and after protecting the Sand Emirate Grotto's sea territorial borers, they naturally showcased a better use than the Second Fleet.
“It’s good to see you coming here, Third. I thought I’d have to deal with these Fleets myself and see old grandpa on my knees after returning.” The Second Admiral’s slightly tired, feminine, yet bold and strict voice spread everywhere, lifting everyone’s morale evermore. Thus, the battle resumed in the Blauw Empire’s favor, while the enemy could only listen to strange cries and bizarre noises from the Empire’s warships.
Amidst the continuation of the battle, the Second Admiral spoke to the Third Admiral via the communication channel for nearby Admirals. “Hurry up, Third. The royal princess should not be made worried over her first battle. She’s just starting to send soldier units deeper inland. You can’t disappoint her.”
“Heard, loud and clear. Let me relieve you,” the Third Admiral said as the Second fleet’s Carrier and Battleship deactivated their Border Wall and let the First fleet’s Carrier and Battleships take their place. It had only gotten worse for the enemy…
TA- RARARARARARARARARARARARARARARARA- Whoosh whoosh whoosh- WHOOSH! PFPFPFPFPFPFPFPFPFPFPFPFPFPFPFPF…~!!
