Elementary Objective Achieved
Even if the Grand Elder placed all his Vigor Energy on his body to protect himself instead of facing Heian Ciemnosc's natural force head-on, he would've died still. Even more, the Grand Elder's body would've become a mere gush of wind a moment later instead of his blood screen and blasted bones which cracked until they became dust after they were sent flying.
In the end, the Grand Elder’s decision to use force against force was the correct one. Heian Ciemnosc’s natural force would’ve retained more than 95% of its might even with the defensive layer and inner crystalline armor on the Grand Elder’s body, and turned the latter into sweet nothingness with ease.
Instead, the palm and punch ate a fifth of the 300,000 kg of bodily strength. This was no small matter. A Farsighted realm Small stage cultivator can resist 60,000 kg of bodily strength even with their defenses up and after a bout of moves. One could only imagine the extraordinary might one has when breaking into that realm from the Life-Long realm.
“...” Heian Ciemnosc’s darkest eyes didn’t linger in the space where the Grand Elder was erased from life. He looked in the distance where Alejandro diverted most of the enemy cultivators’ attention to himself, and a few thousand elite soldier units fought with him to fend the enemy off. They were too many.
On another zone of the battlefield, he saw his Eternal Return Team leading 6,000 elite soldier units with the vice commanders following their every word. Heian Ciemnosc’s Team members had more experience in ground battles than even most of the 20 expertly land forces’ vice commanders in his small force.
The rest of the battlefield was empty except for the borders of Alejandro’s reddish watery cage. The vice commanders brought their troops to the northern borders after cleaning the other sides of sneaky cultivators.
The enemy was still holding strong, and their response wasn’t weak. But they didn’t know their boss and commander, who was more than willing to leave them behind to die, had already perished along some other thousands of their brothers and sisters in arms.
As for Heian Ciemnosc, he didn’t even bother hearing the Grand Elder’s words. He doesn’t waste time listening to things he that don’t matter to him. After gazing at the battlefield, Heian Ciemnosc floated to where the Grand Elder’s body was destroyed and lifted his left arm as if to grab onto something.
“...ah!” A tarnished, rapidly dissipating Soul gradually materialized in Heian Ciemnosc’s pale left hand. His Claws were no longer Out. The Soul in questions was a third the length of Heian Ciemnosc’s hand and 2 fingers wide. As it woke up, it looked at Heian Ciemnosc and then at the surroundings, startled but with his face accepted. He had given up.
“Will you destroy me?” The Soul asked. He naturally wasn’t willing, but what could he do? If one thing was known about the black monster, it was his terrifying Soul Supreme Arts, which even the strongest organization’s Sect Master publicly praised.
“Pff, no,” Heian Ciemnosc acted superficially disdainfully towards the Soul. He tightened his grasp and casually commented, “You’re no enemy of mine. You can’t sum up to that. Why would I care what happens to you? Just answer me, is your boss planning something? Or did they send people and resources here from the Universitalities of Yore Universal Land to hinder the Heraxle Clan’s progress?”
“It seems… like it isn’t just those 2… organizations being… heheh, dogs,” the Soul said. But instead of gaining a response from Heian Ciemnosc like before, Heian Ciemnosc tilted his head to the right and lightly murmured, “Hmm.”
“... Yes, we have no support. We were originally just groups drifting in these Existences and planned to save enough to pay for the Sub-Space towards the Neutral Existences. We naturally can’t anymore… Not with you ruining our plans… it’s over.” The Soul weakly said in low spirits.
“Focus,” Heian Ciemnosc shook the Soul, returning it to his needs. The Soul became weaker as its body dissipated, like light consumed by darkness. “We have… many resources… but only for Third Step cultivation… The rest… is just devices to safeguard us from Farsighted realm or Bright/Silhouette realm cultivators… ahhh…”
Twinkle, twu~~.
“...” Heian Ciemnosc watched as the Soul dissipated. This wasn’t extinction, but merely dying. As for whether there is still reincarnation, with all those legends running amok, who knew if he’d live again. The sensation gave Heian Ciemnosc a sudden feeling of crisis, but his heart remained still, and his mentality composed with his sheer willpower.
‘Sigh… one day,’ Heian Ciemnosc silently vowed for the umpteenth time. As for Sara, she silently observed from the moment the Grand Elder’s Soul appeared and until Heian Ciemnosc’s dark energy was tranquilized. Her eyes were mysterious.
… An hour later, the battle concluded. Heian Ciemnosc stood 2 kilometers before the enemy hideout, leveled to tatters and debris everywhere. Some cultivators managed to flee and near the northern oceanic riverbank, but a certain, humongous swan flashed down from the sky and ate the little ants before they could get anywhere.
However, Heian Ciemnosc’s Spirit Sense caught an anomaly at the norther oceanic riverbank. His Spirit Sense was blocked, but the area he couldn’t pry into without being discovered was too large to be considered a small group of enemy cultivators.
It was possible that hundreds of thousands of cultivators had decided to retreat after one of their scouts or the Farsighted realm cultivator in the hideout warned them. Heian Ciemnosc had felt a thin Soul transmission before fighting the Grand Elder, but he wasn’t able to stop it. Only after he floated face to face with the Grand Elder did he manage to block any other Soul transmission.
After watching the hidden enemy hurriedly depart to the north, Heian Ciemnosc blinked and set his darkest eyes on a few hundred more grievously wounded elites, brought by alarmed, busy auxiliary units moving back and forth. Heian Ciemnosc’s dark Vigor Energy was like an infinite streak traveling between the wounded left on the ground. Heian Ciemnosc couldn’t randomly heal them, but his dark Vigor Energy was enough to transmit some of his [All-Devouring Force Chronicles] properties to help their bodies start healing passively.
That wasn’t the only new thing the 7th level of his innate Divine Art could do, of course. Heian Ciemnosc’s bodily strength could eject from his body at his command. Similar to Evans’s body isolating from air and wind, Heian Ciemnosc could send his concentrated bodily strength. He could send whatever amount he wished. As for the distance, he hadn’t had the chance to try it beyond a few hundred thousand kilometers.
With his adept control and familiarity, Heian Ciemnosc’s speed and accuracy were flawless. Because of how it felt and others discerned from this new ability, Heian Ciemnosc called it natural force. He probably wasn’t wrong, though. Body tempering Arts have been long forgotten, and only Beasts, Titans, Giants, and a minority of Demons still use it.
But they are so few that Heian Ciemnosc had never met any of them. In any case, it wasn’t something Heian Ciemnosc worried about. He continued helping his troops before stopping. No more grievously wounded elite soldier units were outside this ‘medical camp’.
Step, step, step! Etherea hurriedly stepped towards Heian Ciemnosc before stopping and saluting him with a light bow. She looked at Heian Ciemnosc with a ton of admiration before elaborating, “Sir, Evans successfully placed the device on the enemy. We can’t get enough information, but we’ve confirmed their knowledge about us and the terrifying might we possess.”
“However, they’re smart. We managed to hear something about them, knowing we were using all our main force in this act. Sigh, it’s as you’ve said. What now, commander?” Etherea sighed and dropped her shoulders, exhausted and ecstatic at the same time because of the special operation’s leader’s tactics.
“Mn, we rest. The ‘guests’ will arrive in a few days. Continue notifying me of the inhabitants. If they need anything, are doubtful, or have a complaint, they must wait and talk to you or the people you select to act in your name. But only by going through you first can I be in the known. Understood?” Heian Ciemnosc said, lightly crossing his arms before casually saying.
“Y-yes, sir!” Although his words were casual, the commanding assistant felt pressure. She wasn’t a bimbo, and after seeing how he dealt with his vice commanders and other brand-new citizens, she knew he was training her. More than that, the commander like her, so if she could learn from him and continue following him…
“It’s my honor, black monster,” Etherea brought her hands to her chest, or rather, to her clipboard against her sternum and gestured a low bow.
“Hmm, you’re becoming proactive,” Heian Ciemnosc grinned and looked at her with slightly narrowed eyes. He then quietly said as he looked at the night sky with some stars on the horizon, “You’re not one of my wives, so I won’t stop you if you leave. But if you do and intend to return in the future, I also won’t waste my breath with you, or time. Understood?”
“Someone who knows to follow you, sir, is someone who knows how to follow. I’ll eternally serve you,” Etherea knelt before him. Heian Ciemnosc felt his heart heaved down for an instant. He turned his head towards her and lightly smiled. He tapped the top of her head before helping her up with an elegant, delicate swing of his pale fingers flinging upwards.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.
“You’re a seedling I didn’t expect to find, much better than those vice commanders. It’s good to have you follow me, Etherea.” Heian Ciemnosc directly stared into her eyes as he spoke before relaxing his arms and walking away. Etherea felt even more pressure on her shoulders, but she still knew she was being trained, so she didn’t grow content and focused on her job.
So far, the only people to voluntarily kneel before him were 2 young women. The first was an enemy, and the second an unsuspecting, experienced commanding assistant.
Just as Heian Ciemnosc walked away and towards Evans, who cleaned his extra long feathers of the blood on them, clearly enjoying the moment, he was surrounded by his Team members. With Ruo Wei and Cara hugging his sides, the others leaned towards him, making their small group sway everywhere until Evans impatiently walked towards them and swung them to his back with his right wing.
Chiiiiiirp- criiiiiaaakkakaaa~!! Jing Evan’s cry resounded before he departed, returning Heian Ciemnosc and the rest of the Team towards the Small City in construction. Evans had seen a couple of falcons and eagle species that required his attention… After becoming so handsome and muscular, how could he not act like a god and touch everything he wasn’t supposed to?
If it wasn’t for Heian Ciemnosc beating the shit out of Evans, even the latter’s daughters would’ve been in danger!
. . .
Days passed by, and soon, Heian Ciemnosc enjoyed 2 weeks and a half of relaxation.
During this time, Heian Ciemnosc focused the elite soldier units to defend the northern villagers without giving much thought to anything else. The auxiliary units, on the other hand, were immensely busy. Their schedules were all work, work, and work.
Heian Ciemnosc had a Small City to build, so he only left 50,000 auxiliary units in each of the 2 villages up north. The other 200,000 were in the Small City. Those 100,000 were enough to teach half a million people in a year everything about ‘elementary’ cultivation, management, and procedures.
They weren’t lied to about becoming part of the Crimsonbreaking Faction. Only an extremely capable person can become an operation’s leader or commander. Thus, Heian Ciemnosc had the right to offer anything they deemed fit to potential allies, be it during the operation, or further.
In this case, as the first week passed, and the new citizens and civilians heard the news of their victory against the outsiders from their land section, they became intrigued and worked while chatting. The information wasn’t spread solely by the soldier or auxiliary units Heian Ciemnosc commanded, but by a few observant fellows near the battlefield and further northwards.
Thus, the Crimsonbreaking Faction suddenly commenced gaining a new image to their overbearing and unruly aspect from when they first arrived at their villages and made their people change ‘rulers’.
Still, the people weren’t warm to the Faction, it would be incredible if that was the case.
Another week passed, and a few days later, Heian Ciemnosc echoed to the vice commanders in the Small City in construction, the auxiliary units, and as many ‘villagers’ as possible; to prepare for tomorrow. Guests were coming, and they had to show their presence. As for the civilians and citizens, the civilians weren’t forced, but if they wanted to show their stance, they would show up beside the citizens.
It was a stupid gamble the inhabitants didn’t know how to follow, much less decide. Whatever they might choose, it would be seen when the time came. Thus, the day passed, and on the first month’s first day, Heian Ciemnosc nonchalantly walked through the City in a slightly gray morning with humidity prevailing in the air.
The east southern walls, which hadn’t even begun being built, were crowded with a few hundred thousand heads from different Races. When Heian Ciemnosc walked towards there, with a young woman who used to be from the other side 2 steps behind him, and another young woman holding a clipboard beside her, the soldier and auxiliary units didn’t react. The inhabitants, however, were slightly amazed.
Step, step… step. Heian Ciemnosc walked several meters past the vice commanders, who lined up before everyone else and beside the Eternal Return Team members. The latter stood backwards with the vice commanders out of respect, although they could've stood before the vice commanders undoubtedly.
“Are they coming? How long until we can see these ‘comrades’ of ours?” Etherea asked, frowning as she saw nothing, not even with her nature reading. Although she was far below Heian Ciemnosc in terms of reading nature, it wasn’t something that could be underestimated by those who tried and failed to attain it.
“They’ll be here in 20 seconds. Just a little show,” Heian Ciemnosc quietly commented. Meanwhile, Molto didn’t offer a word. She remained quiet, obediently following Heian Ciemnosc. After training for a few days under her new Masters-to-be, she became aware of the brutal discrepancy between this Region’s peak forces and the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s upper echelons alone.
Furthermore, as Grietta and Tania guarded Anastasia, Molto saw her boss’s daughter nearly all the time. To see a less-than-20 year old young girl attain the Spirit Soul realm 10th stage was a definitive blow to her self-confidence and hopes. Molto felt immense pressure to keep up with the prospects this new, mysterious boss had for her.
“Ah! I see!” Etherea muttered. Her Farsighted realm Small Stage cultivation base allowed her Spirit Sense to see something. And just 1 second after she exclaimed, whereas the 10th second since Heian Ciemnosc commented, a sonic boom sounded far in the distance.
…ka- boom… … …PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWW~~- FUTOMP~!!! WHOOOOOOOOSHHH!!
“...” Heian Ciemnosc watched with a frown slightly forming with derogatory creases. From afar, a large, black body moved towards them. It was more than a hundred thousand kilometers away in one moment, and 5 seconds later, it was less than 60,000 km from the Small city in construction.
A few seconds later, as the civilians and citizens became alarmed, wanting to feel and growing restless; only feeling secure after seeing the soldier and auxiliary units’ stoic reaction. The once-a-black dot became a large Fauna carrying several people in its cage-like claws.
The Fauna was above 80 meters long, with 3 sets of wings. The upper wings were the longest, a couple dozen meters long. The middle wings were much shorter but looked sharper, and the lower wings seemed like they were only for extra speed and sudden maneuvers.
The Fauna had a humanoid appearance, with a strange head erecting 2 smallish horns on its 1-story building-sized head, and 50 meters long arms. Its legs slightly less lengthy than its arms, and its brownish, pitch-black eyes showed intelligence as it halted in midair.
Its sudden stop surged with air waves releasing forwards, scaring the civilians and brand-new citizens even more. Heian Ciemnosc’s arms were slightly closed as he watched the Fauna, no longer leaning forwards in a 90-degree angle. Its black-gray skin seemed tenebrous under the sunlight, and its black cage-like claws released the people it brought here.
Heian Ciemnosc knew this ‘little’ fella. It was a Darkness element-based Preternatural. According to the Crimsonbreaking Faction’s information for this operation, and his naughty Spirit Sense toying with the Aqualian Drake Sect’s Farsighted realm cultivators’ guarding Spirit Sense and array formations, this was a Bloodless Nightwatcher. This one was a juvenile.
“Graaahh…” The Bloodless Nightwatcher stupidly groaned as it looked at Heian Ciemnosc. With his arms still slightly crossed, Heian Ciemnosc looked at it before casually and noncommittally, his head turning away from it. He looked at the key people it brought. They were really crucial.
It seemed like 2 groups of people came. One donned an emblem of a drake, with azure, mystical waters surging and wrecking disorder everywhere in the background. The other group’s emblem was a single tree, ordinary and without pure energy, standing tall and slightly leaning in a land of no life and no beauty.
Each group brought 3 people, of which 2 of them were the most important. The Aqualian Drake Sect’s Sect Master, Vice sect master, and Grand Elder were present from this land section. From the ‘ally’ land section to the west, the Forestalress Academy’s group was formed by the Headmaster, Vice headmaster, and a slightly weaker cultivator.
The Aqualian Drake Sect’s Sect Master had azure hair and eyes, tall, and wore a long red robe underneath his purple golden robes. He was Human, and had a cultivation base at the Farsighted realm Small stage. The Vice sect master was a young female Human with similar features to the Sect Master, delicate, beautiful, and her eyes scanned around Heian Ciemnosc before solemnly landing on Heian Ciemnosc.
Her cultivation base was at the Farsighted realm Small stage, but was on a lower level than the Sect Master. The other person, the Aqualian Drake Sect’s Grand Elder, was also a young woman. She had blonde hair, furtively scanned Heian Ciemnosc’s body and the people near him before admiring the view behind them. She had overly black eyes and slightly nodded to herself every second.
This Grand Elder walked away from the other 2, and it seemed as if she didn’t walk farther from them out of etiquette. Her cultivation base was at the Farsighted realm Medium stage, above Heian Ciemnosc’s battle prowess capabilities.
The Forestalress Academy’s Headmaster was a young woman, a Gray Elf, with yellow eyes, and a totally flat body. She rapidly scanned the Small City in construction, its inhabitants, Heian Ciemnosc’s small force, and looked at the north before setting her eyes on Heian Ciemnosc and admiring both his achievements, reputation, and aspect.
The Vice headmaster was a bald Human, and his cultivation base was at the Farsighted realm Small Stage, one stage below the Headmaster. The other fella was a Life-Long realm cultivator in the 3rd stage and was a Giant. He had black ashes-colored hair, and obscure golden eyes. His height was approximately 1.70 meters, but the ‘obvious’ Giant showcase on his body came from his rear…
He seemed easy to start a conversation with, but Heian Ciemnosc’s nature reading felt the savageness and recklessness hidden within. Moreover, this Giant had a physical strength far above those of his Race in the same realm.
“You!” Suddenly, the Aqualian Drake Sect’s Sect Master pointed at a civilian. Heian Ciemnosc didn’t need to use Spirit Sense or turn his head to know it was the previous village head from the first village his small force occupied that was called out by the Sect Master.
“What is the meaning of this?!” The Sect Master swung his wrist at the surroundings behind Heian Ciemnosc and his people. “Redecoration and shelters?! Do you think anyone would have believed that? Explain yourself!”
“Alright, cutting off, talk to me or fight me. But if it’s before me, berate my people again and see if I help you decide.” Heian Ciemnosc stepped forth once and gained the Sect Master’s attention. The Grand Elder looked at him but didn’t grow tense. The Sect Master grumpily flung his sleeves and faced Heian Ciemnosc while walking towards him without fear.
‘Hmm…’ Heian Ciemnosc didn’t feel satisfied, so he took another step with his right foot and slightly lifted his bent right elbow, releasing his crossed arms.
“!” - “!!”
This time, the Sect Master smoothly halted, but his eyes were unnaturally widened and his fists clenched. Vigor Energy roared inside his body, hidden from even other Farsighted realm cultivators, including Etherea. On the other hand, the Grand Elder became even more tense, with her brows creasing.
“... Relax,” Heian Ciemnosc blatantly grinned, even tapping between his upper and lower teeth with the tip of his tongue as he didn’t even bother simulating a stretch, and stood with his back slightly leaning forwards and his forehead somewhat lowered. “Shall we talk like adults now? Or do I need to fetch ourselves toys?”
…
