When I exit the castle, Lin is waiting for me, but there is no sign of Brightfire. When I check the soulscape, I find that she has already left, she probably got bored. As promised, I sit down, cuddle up with Lin, and get ready to show her a few anime.

Lin says "So, did you enjoy watching the three of us changing?"

"Eh?! You knew?!?"

Lin says "Of course I did, silly. Otherwise I would have changed with a single thought. So, did you?"

"Yes, I did. Actually, I really enjoyed it, a lot. You're not mad?"

Lin says "No. I'm not. If I am being honest, I actually found it exciting."

"That's excellent! Wait, did the others know as well?"

Lin says "I don't think so. Although, if Myria knew you were looking at her like that she would be overjoyed. Brightfire, on the other hand, well that could get really complicated."

"Yeah. It would be for the best if she doesn't find out."

Lin says "She won't find out from me. That is, if you are a good boy and let me lead you around on a leash."

"Ugh. Alright. You win."

Lin says "Yay!"

She then kisses me and snuggles in against my side with a huge smile on her face. It looks like she is really happy to have won one over on me, but I can't be mad about it. It is impossible for me to be mad at her when she looks so cute and happy.

For some strange reason, even though I lost to her, I still feel happy about it. So, I wrap my arm around her and start showing her some animes about magic. The first two I show her are Isekai Cheat Magician and Wise Man's Grandchild.

Lin says "So this is where you got the idea for my robe's enchantments. Too bad it didn't work as well as in the anime."

"Yeah. The thing I am missing is the magic script. The runes you taught me don't work the same. To do it like he did I would have to create my own magical language."

Lin says "You know, I thought you were much smarter than me, but if all your ideas come from anime maybe not."

"I am not smarter than you. In fact, from the speed that you learn things, you are probably smarter than me."

Lin says "Does that bother you?"

"Nope. Actually, I find it to be very sexy."

Lin says "Good. I have had enough of dealing with men's jealousy. That you can admit I might be smarter means I was right about you, you are a great man. I made the right choice."

"Thank you, I think."

Lin says "Can we do this again? I would like to see the rest of the anime you know and anything else you can show me."

"Of course! I would love that. Can I ask why you are interested?"

Lin says "There are several reasons. One, I might get different ideas from them than you did, or at least be able to help with your ideas. Two, it is obvious that it is important to you and I want to understand you better. Three, it is like a book brought to life, of course I want to see more."

"In that case, from now on we will watch some every night, unless something else is going on. With as much random stuff as I have in my head, it should only take a few months to watch it all."

Lin says "A few months?! If you can remember that much, maybe my original estimate of your intelligence was accurate."

"Don't give me too much credit, I watched all of these multiple times in my old life."

Lin says "Can you tell me about your old life?"

"If you really want me to, but it is a fairly boring story."

Lin says "I don't care. I want to know everything about you."

When she says that, Lin has a serious look on her face, so I do as she asks. As I am telling her about my old life, I use the soulscape to recreate part of that world so she can see and understand it. The telling of my story doesn't take very long, my old life really was quite boring.

Lin says "Thank you. I feel like I understand you a bit better now. If nothing else, I now understand why you don't want to return to that world."

"Yes, this world is much more to my liking. Especially now that I have you."

Lin says "I still don't understand why you were so against the idea. Most men would give up anything to have multiple women."

"Tomorrow night I will show you some harem anime. Then you will understand."

Lin says "Alright. So, are we done for tonight?"

"With the soulscape, yes."

Lin smiles and disappears, so I end the soulscape and open my eyes to find Lin sitting in my lap. As soon as she sees my eyes open, she starts to give me a serious kiss that steals my breath. I kiss her back but at the same time I send my mana into the choker to check the mana levels.

The mana storage is almost completely full, it shouldn't take more than a few minutes for it to finish. I spend those few minutes kissing Lin while watching the mana levels intently. However, the storage fills up and the formation ramps down exactly like it was supposed to.

I was worried about absolutely nothing, I am glad that I didn't tell Lin about it. One of us wasting our time and energy worrying is enough, she would probably have laughed at me anyway. It is a great relief when everything works properly and Lin isn't harmed.

I try not to let my relief show, but since I am kissing Lin at the time, she noticed something. She immediately breaks off the kiss and something must have been on my face because she starts questioning me. Since she is currently sitting on my lap I have no escape and eventually tell her.

Lin says "Why didn't you tell me? Or you could have had me check over the formations for you?"

"No, I couldn't. In order to make the formation, I kind of created some new runes."

Lin says "You what?! What do you mean you created new runes?! Why would you do something so crazy? Did you even test them before putting them into the formations on the choker?!"

"I didn't have a choice, the runes you taught me are incomplete. Yes, I kind of tested them before using them. They obeyed my intent and did what I wanted them to. The only thing I was unsure about was how they would react with so many other runes."

Lin says "What do you mean incomplete? I taught you every rune that we have! You know I trust you, but I would have preferred it if you had at least discussed it with me."

"That would have ruined the surprise and I really wanted to surprise you. The look on your face when you first put it on was absolutely priceless!"
