Since that is the case, it is better for them all to die here and help weaken the maker. Their sacrifice will allow me to steal more energy from the maker and keep her trapped. At least until the ship has sailed past the island and moved north, after that I won't care anymore.
It might be a different story if it was their entire race, but I am sure there are more murlocs. Considering the size of the ocean there are probably billions of them. So letting this small group be destroyed isn't a big deal in my opinion.
Besides, thanks to WoW I have a hatred for murlocs, and while these are exactly the same they are close enough. If I had found them earlier I probably would have wiped them out myself for exp. Although, I doubt that they would be worth very much, all they really have is numbers.
Keeping the beach at my back I have been slowly killing my way deeper into the ocean. By killing all the undead I come across I have slowly freed up the creatures to flank the undead. In the area I am working, the creatures have slowly gained the advantage.
While I am not getting the energy of the undead that the creatures kill, it is still fine. Then a change occurs, a group of undead turn to flank the creatures, a strategic move. This tells me that there must be a general around, undead don't move like that normally.
Just as I realize this and start looking around, the general appears before me. He walks right up to my bubble as the other undead make way and then steps inside. The first thing I notice is that he is completely dry, and the second is that his eyes are glowing red.
I feel a moment of dizziness and when it passes I find that my surroundings have changed. For one thing I am no longer underwater, instead I am surrounded by dead trees. It looks like the typical nightmare terrain and I quickly figure out it is a soulscape.
As soon as I realize that I just start laughing, the general is actually going to challenge me in a soulscape! As I am laughing a swarm made of hundreds of bats suddenly appears around me. They instantly start trying to bite me and suck my blood, but they can't pierce my skin.
Still laughing I create a massive burst of high frequency sound and emit it in a sphere. Since I can't hear it, it does nothing to me, but every bat it passes has their little head explode. In the distance I can hear a scream of pain, telling me where the general is hiding.
Instead of going after him straight away, I take control of the soulscape while he is distracted. Then I quickly lock down the soulscape so that the general can't escape. If he had fought me in the real world I would have been more cautious, but here there is nothing to worry about.

He totally chose the wrong method to fight me, it almost makes me feel sorry for him. However, now that I have the chance there is no way I will let him escape. Once I have full control the first thing I do is put a dozen suns in the sky.
The next scream I hear is full of pain, but also has a hint of despair in it. When I teleport to the area the scream came from I find the general curled up trying to hide beneath a tree. His skin is completely black and there is smoke coming off of him.
It would be fairly easy to kill him right now, but I want to do more than that. So, I get rid of the suns before they burn the general to death and let him heal. As he is healing I focus my attention on him and try to bring all of his essence into the soulscape.
This makes him stronger, but it also means I won't have to kill him over and over. My mastery over the soulscape can't even be compared to when I was fighting demons. Ever since I maxed out my level of soulscape I am pretty much a god while I am inside.
Once the general is fully pulled into the soulscape I start draining his energy. He immediately starts trying to fight me, but I have complete control of the soulscape. His only remaining option is to attack me physically, but I simply make my body immune to damage.

You can somewhat protect your mind.
It has been so long since I fought in a soulscape that I had completely forgotten that I had skills for it. Considering my ability to control soulscapes I don't think I really need to worry about those skills. After all its not like there are many enemies who choose to fight in the soulscape.
Although, it might be an easy way to deal with the demon lords, if I can get them into a soulscape. It would definitely feel good to get Lady Xinun into a soulscape and pay her back for the torture! However, that is getting way ahead of myself, no need to think about it now.
The general has a lot of the maker's energy inside him, so draining it is a slow process. However, since he can't hurt me at all, all I am losing is a little time and it is worth it. Losing a general should be a pretty big blow to the maker, not to mention the energy he contains.
Not only that, but while he is trapped in the soulscape with me there is no one controlling the undead. This should help the murlocs hold on for a bit longer and destroy more undead. The maker will probably react when the general dies, but I am not sure what she will do.
She could send more generals over, come herself, or try to withdraw from the fight. She will probably know that it is me since the energy won't come back to her. By now I am fairly sure that she knows I am her biggest enemy, but that is still a guess.
Either way I will find out after the general is dead, but that is going to take a while. Then I have a thought that might speed up the process, so I try it out. It works, thanks to the soulscape I am able to turn myself into a vampire.
As soon as it works, I grab the general and start drinking his blood and the energy drain speeds up. It is about three times faster, it just makes me wish the general was a female. Drinking blood from the neck of a male feels really weird and makes me uncomfortable.
However, the taste of the blood is amazing, making me not want to stop. It is a good thing that this is in the soulscape, if I became a vampire for real it would be a disaster for the world. Although, if that happened the goddesses would probably stop me, or at least try to.
