When I leave the soulscape I will have to ask Stillwater about large beasts on the island. If I can find one that has light but strong bones that could solve the problem of the supports. My main worry is that if the ship is too heavy then it will be slow unless I add more sails.
Especially since I have to consider the weight of the elves and their belongings. Since I doubt I am going to be able to convince them to leave everything behind. It is already going to be hard enough just asking them to leave the only home they have ever known.
That, however, is a problem I am going to leave up to Stillwater, they are his people. Now that I have the design mostly worked out the next objective is to check on the humans. I need to figure out if they have a ship that will work or if I need to build this one.
If they don't have a ship that will work, I at least need to see what kind of ships they do have. There is a distinct possibility that I am going to have to fight them once we are out to sea. So I need to check out the competition, mainly what kind of weapons their ships have.
If I was on the peninsula I could just walk into the human fort, but the humans here don't know beastmen. Although, from what I remember Krenocia telling me, my body's race is from the main continent. Still, it probably isn't a good idea to try just walking into the fort as I am.
My best bet to sneak in would probably be to use shapeshift and turn into some kind of animal. The problem is most of the animals I turn into are larger than normal. Wait, there is an easier way, that is if shapeshift can be used to turn into a human.
Now that I have thought of it I want to test it out, so I turn to check on the elves. Luckily it seems their conversation is winding down, so I should be able to end the soulscape soon. I am glad I did this though, Core looks really happy, happier than I have ever seen her.
After seeing her like this, now I have to bring the elves back no matter what. Seeing her so happy I decide not to interrupt their conversation and just wait. While I am waiting I wrack my brain trying to think of other movies or anime about ships.
Unfortunately, the only anime I can think of is One Piece, and I never watched it. Other than that I can't really think of anything else that would be useful. I know there have to be more movies about old time ships, but I can't even remember their names.
It looks like I will just have to go with the design I have and hope it is good enough. Fast enough is also a concern, but I won't be able to tell that until it is built. I have thought about adding a rowing deck but the pontoons would be in the way.
Not to mention I doubt the elves would make good oarsmen even if I could convince them. The thought of using human prisoners does occur to me, but then I would be just as bad as them. It is too bad I am not a necromancer, then I could just use the undead to row.

Thinking of the undead makes me think of Bones and the fact that I forgot him with Vacker. At least Bones will have been getting training this whole time, which is good. If I need help I can probably summon him, if the range isn't too far away.
He would probably love it if I summoned him into the badlands and just left him there to hunt orcs. However, leaving him with Vacker should also be fine, who knows maybe he can become a swordmaster. I guess I should get someone to check on him and see how he is doing.
Since Core is here I can ask her to pass it along to Yui or whoever goes to Illium next. Getting the response might take a bit longer since I don't know if I can invite anyone without the goddesses help. If I can then this will be a good way to stay in touch, so I may as well try it out.
"Pol, I invite you to my soulscape!"
Pol quickly appears and says "Lord Ash!"
"Pol, good to see you!"
Pol says "What is going on? Where is this?"
Sitting down I start explaining everything to Pol and get him caught up on my situation. Once he understands he immediately reports what is going on in Illium and the progress of the various plans. Since I am going to be gone for a long time we spend quite a while discussing the plans.
We also discuss the beasts that will be living in the elven city and the possibilities of trade. Unfortunately, I can't answer most of his questions, so I summon Zheka back. When Zheka returns he and Pol have a long talk about what the beasts need and what they can trade.
While I don't pay attention to the details, the excitement on Pol's face tells me it will work out. Zheka leaves when they are done talking but Pol stays to get further orders. The last thing I tell Pol is to visit Vacker and check on Bones, then he leaves as well.
When I turn around to check on the elves I find that Core is the only one left. The others have left the soulscape and Core is walking over to where I am sitting. She looks different, what she is wearing has changed, the new outfit looks distinctly elven.
Core says "Ash, thank you! I have enjoyed this more than I can say!"
"You're welcome, Core. I am glad to see you so happy!"
Core says "It is just really good to know I am not the only one!"
"Yeah, I can totally understand that!"
Core says "Your situation, while different from mine, is just as unique!"
"The thing is, since I am the one who woke you up, I feel responsible for your situation. So I am glad I have found a way to help fix it. Assuming I can convince the elves to leave and get them there safely."
Core says "Even if you can't do it, just the fact that you are trying means a lot to me!"
"I will do what I can, just don't get your hopes up too much."
Core says "I will try! Is there anything I can do to help?"
"The others will be returning to the city and the tower. Anything you can think of to help them grow stronger would be awesome."
Core says "Alright, I will do what I can! You be careful!"
"I will be as careful as the situation allows."
With that Core and I say our goodbyes and I am finally able to end the soulscape. Then I immediately seek out Stillwater to discuss the possibility of the elves leaving. To my surprise he jumps right on the option and agrees that the elves will leave.
"That's it? I was expecting you to argue and that I would have to convince you!"
Stillwater says "If our situation wasn't so dire then I would argue, but as I already said we won't survive here for long. Even if the humans got wiped out, more would just come!"
"That's true! Alright, then I will leave convincing the elves to you."
Stillwater says "Then what are you going to do?"
"I will go sneak into the human fort and see if any of their ships will work."
Stillwater says "What if none of them will?"
"Then I will just have to build us a ship!"
