Myria says "Meaning??"

"Well, it could just be that the rabbit beasts have a higher heart rate. In that case it is normal and you just have to get used to it."

Myria says "What if that isn't the case?"

"Then it could be your beast core affecting your heart. It could also be a couple of other things. You are unique now, which means I don't have a definite answer for you."

Myria says "Then what can I do?"

"For now let's leave the meditation alone. I think you need to focus on physical training until your body completes its changes and you learn control."

Myria says "Are you saying I can't become a mage knight?!"

"No, I'm not saying that. However, before you can learn to control your mind you must first learn to control your body."

Myria says "I have no idea how to learn to control my body!"

"Don't worry, I will help you. Over the next couple of days I will teach you and exercise routine that you will need to follow every single day."

Kitara says "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"Actually, yes. You and the guards will need to spar a lot as you learn. Use Myria as your sparring partner, the more activity she goes through the better."

Kitara says "Understood!"

Myria says "When can we start?"

"We can start after dinner."

As we head to dinner Myria manages to look both excited and nervous at the same time. She relaxes once the food appears and eats as much as four humans would. After dinner Myria's exercise consists of playing tag with the kids.

While a simple game may not sound like much exercise, with the kids it is intense. After all, going up against four beasts, two of which are sacred beasts, is no simple matter. I should know, because I do it on a regular basis and I normally lose to them.

Ekard hasn't grown, but his physical abilities have improved a lot from all the playing. Haku is now double the size he used to be, about the size of a pit bull. He is extremely fast and maneuverable, just like a cat is supposed to be.

Playing tag with the two of them is exhausting enough, but when you add Asuna and Kechara it becomes impossible. Myria has a hard time because her body won't move the way she wants it to. This is exactly why I am having Myria do this, the fact that it wears out the kids is just a bonus.

Once all of them are exhausted we all go to bed, in the morning I wake up early and wake up Myria. She is not happy, especially when I force her to go through an intense exercise routine. This lasts until breakfast, the look she gives me when I tell her she has to do this every morning is chilling.

During breakfast she doesn't talk to me, she even refuses to look at me. Some of the others notice but they don't say anything, it makes breakfast a little awkward. As soon as she is done eating I drag Myria down to the mage knight training area.

Then I put her through a rigorous training regiment, with a large variety of exercises. My goal is not to wear her out by repeating the same exercise over and over. Instead I want to make her use every muscle in her body in different ways so she can control them.

She ends up breaking a lot of the exercise equipment because she cannot control her strength. Luckily, I am able to repair what she breaks, otherwise Yui would not be happy with her. By the time dinner is getting close she has made significant progress and even manages to smile at me.

"How do you feel?"

Myria says "Tired, but good. I am beginning to understand what you mean about controlling my body."

"Good, because this is what you are going to be doing every day for the next week or so."

Myria says "What?!"

"You need to finish learning how to control your body. More than that you need to get to the point that you don't have to think to control your body. The only way to do that is through repetition."

Myria says "Do I really have to do all of this every day?"

"Yes! Including playing with the kids after dinner."

Myria says "That I don't mind doing, it's fun. It's the exercises that are boring!"

"Boring or not, this is what you need to do. Unless you plan on giving up on being a mage knight?"

Myria says "No! I won't give up no matter what?"

"Then you need to put in the work, no matter how boring it is!"

Myria says "Alright, alright. I get it."

"Now, before dinner go take a hot bath and soak your muscles."

Myria says "Okay! How about you join me?"

"No! You never give up, do you?"

Myria laughs and says "Never!"

Myria continues to laugh as she walks away, I just shake my head and check on the guards. Even while putting Myria through exercise routines I was also helping the guards with their training. They are all making good progress on the basics and should only need my help for another day or two.

After checking their progress and having a few words with each of them it is time for dinner. During dinner Myria is obviously in a better mood than yesterday. As promised, after dinner, she goes to play with the kids without any complaints.

The next day is more of the same, but with Myria knowing what to do I can spend more time helping the guards. Once they have the basics down I plan to let them learn on their own. With a strong foundation any mistake they might make will be much easier to correct.

Besides, I don't have the time to spoon feed them all of the knight mage training. I need to get to work on my plans as soon as I can and find out how things have been going. Nived has been keeping me informed on the progress with the procedures.

They are going smoothly, but he doesn't know anything else that might be going on. A few more days is the most I can spare for the guards and Myria. After that I need to get back to Illium and catch up on what has been going on.

"Oh, Yui, Core, the mages in Illium are working on ways to either detect demons or break their illusions. Do either of you have anything that might help them out?"

Core says "I have spells to break illusions, but they are elven magic."

"Yeah, we can't share that. But if you could break down the basics of those spells into language they could understand, that would help them out."

Core says "Yeah, I should be able to do that."

Yui says "I have a spell for detecting demons that you can give them, but it is not a simple spell. Roddick and Belliza are probably the only ones who can cast it."

"That's fine. As long as they can understand it they can teach others eventually."

Yui says "I will prepare the spell and help Core with the illusion breaking data."

"Thank you!"
