When I wake up I remember the dream clearly, I guess I will go find her church and see what's up. She wouldn't have sent me a dream for no reason, not when her powers are still weak. Maybe I need to clean out the church like I did the last one, there may be more followers of Holos.

As I am eating breakfast I decide to leave Drog here, probably not a good idea to take a demon to church. Besides, I don't want to hear his comments if there are cute priestesses. Once I am done eating I pull out the map to see where the church is.

'Drog I am going out, you stay here. And behave! That's an order.'

Drog 'Aw, master, you take all the fun out of things.'

Ignoring Drog I head out and follow the map to the church, time to see what Seronia needs. When I arrive I find not a church but a massive cathedral, it occupies an entire city block. Obviously a massive amount of money went into building this place, and normally money means corruption.

My idea of cleansing the place for Seronia is looking more and more likely. But it isn't wise to judge before the fact, so I will wait and see what is going on. I walk up the steps to the closed doors and give them a tug, they open so I walk in.

I find myself in the main hall, the altar is at the far end, and rows of pews line either side. There are women in white scattered all over the hall cleaning, and two women up by the altar, one in white one in black. Every single woman here has either the mark of Seronia or the mark of Krenocia.

Well, guess I was wrong about having to cleanse the church here, this place is not what I was expecting. Then the women notice me, and as they do they kneel and bow their heads to the floor. As they do more of the women notice and do the same, it is like a wave moving across the hall.

When the wave reaches the altar, the two women who I am assuming are the high priestesses also kneel and bow to me. This is getting really weird, why are they kneeling to me? Is this why Seronia wanted me to come here, just what is she planning?

The women say "Welcome, chosen one!!"

"Wait, what?!?"

Getting no response from the women near me I slowly walk down the middle of the hall to the altar. I am not sure what is going on here, the chosen one sounds like something Seronia might say. She is the one who asked me to come here, this must be part of her plan.

"Why do you call me the chosen one?"

The High Priestess in White says "Because, that is how Seronia referred to you when she visited my dreams."

"Please, rise and tell me your names."

White says "We gave up our names, you can just call me White."

Black says "And you can call me Black."

"So, White for Seronia, and Black for Krenocia, kind of simple isn't it?"

White says "It might be simple, but it is effective."

Black says "Having no name helps keep us from being prideful."

"Well, that actually makes sense. So what can I do for the two of you?"

White says "It is not that we need something from you."

Black says "It is that we are here to serve you."

"Serve me? What do you mean?"

White says "Seronia commanded me to serve you."

Black says "Krenocia said I should do anything you ask."

"What exactly are you trying to say?"

White says "We and our temple are yours."

Black says "We will do absolutely anything you want us to do."

'Now I am really glad I didn't bring Drog. I can just imagine his comments.'

"Just what did the goddesses tell you?"

White says "They told us about the coming war against the demons."

Black says "They told us you would lead humanity in that war and that you are our only hope."

"And what is your role to be?"

White says "We will serve you and support you."

Black says "We will be your lieutenants, we will obey your every command."

"Okay, you are talking about during the war."

White says "No, we will serve you from now until death."

Black says "Either yours or ours."

"So you are aware of my time limit?"

White says "Yes, we were told all about you."

Black says "We were even told you would be reluctant to take us with you."

"I prefer to travel freely and not be held back."

White says "As we were told, so for now we will make a home for you."

Black says "We will provide you a place to rest and return to."

"And you will be here waiting for me?"

White says "Yes, until you need us."

Black says "We will work in your absence to make your forces stronger."

"What forces?"

White says "We know you have followers already."

Black says "As you travel you will find more."

White says "When you do send them here."

Black says "We will equip and train them."

"You think I should build my own army?"

Both say "Don't you?"

"I have to ask, are you two twins?"

White says "Yes, does our speaking annoy you?"

Black says "We can try to stop if it does."

"No, it just takes some getting used to. I don't mind."

White says "True temples have always been run by twins."

Black says "It allows us to serve the goddesses better."

"After having met them I would say that makes perfect sense. Although they don't talk like you two."

White says "Not all twins are as close as we are."

Black says "That is why we are the heads of the main temple."

"This is the main temple of the goddesses? I thought it would be in the empire."

White says "There is a common saying."

Black says "All things pass through Illium."

"As in, it is located in the center of the kingdoms so all trade passes through here."

Both say "Correct."

"Alright, this being the main temple now makes sense."

White says "So do you accept?"

Black says "Our sworn loyalty?"
