"Come here!"
The skeleton doesn't hesitate and walks directly over to stand in front of me. It obeyed, how am I supposed to make it recognize me as its master though. Maybe that part is just for humans who aren't as strong as a skeleton.

Would you like to evolve Skill Observe? Y/N
'What? I don't have the core out so why is it asking me that?'

'Wait! It used the Drake's eyes?!?'
My right eye suddenly feels like someone shoved a red hot poker into it! When the pain fades a second later my vision is all blurry and for some reason my left eye itches. That shouldn't be possible since the left eye is just a ball of energy, nevertheless it still itches and is getting worse.
I quickly go digging through my pouch until I find something reflective so that I can look and see what happened to my eyes. The left eye is still covered by the eye patch, but my right eye now looks like a dragon's eye instead of a cat's eye. Even more surprising is when I lift the eye patch to find I have a left eye again and it is the same.
A few minutes pass as I stare at my reflection in shock. How did a skill upgrade change my eyes? Not to mention regrow the eye that I lost fighting against Drog, the scar is still there around the eye socket, but the new eye is flawless.
'These eyes look awesome! They even glow red a little bit! I look like a badass!'
After enjoying my reflection for a while I look over at the skeleton that is still standing where I left him. I am surprised to see words floating above his head just like I would see in an MMO game.
This must be the effect of my new eyes, which means my Lesser Dragon Sight must be active all the time. What I don't understand is why the system is making my life more and more like I am in a game. Krenocia said this system was my soul's way of interpreting this world, but why is it going about it this way?
Then I remember that most of my favorite anime and manga were just like this, isekai stories where the main character had a game-like interface. Maybe this isn't my soul's way of interpreting but more it granting me my wish of wanting to be those characters. The more I think about it the more that makes sense, my strongest desire from my old life is what is causing all of this.
Now that I understand it doesn't bother me anywhere near as much, if anything I am happy with how things are going. Living in this world may be difficult at times but it is what I always wished for so I need to learn to enjoy it more. But for now I need to figure out what to do about the skeleton.
"I am Ash. Do you accept me as your master?"
The skeleton kneels before me with both arms crossed over its chest. I would say that is a pretty good sign that it accepts me, so now I need to start using it. First, I should check if it can really use equipped items or if they are going to disappear.
"Stand up."
After the skeleton stands up I pull a human made dagger out of my pouch and hand it to him. Once he has the dagger I dismiss him and resummon him. He appears next to me facing the same way I am and he has the dagger in his hand.
Now that I know the items won't disappear I take back the dagger and give him a human made sword and shield. I could probably modify some human armor for him to wear but for now this will do. Now I need to make him practice his skills and see if he can level them up, but first maybe I should give him a name.
'I will just keep it simple, I think.'
"From now on your name is Bones!"
DP: 285/585
'What? Three hundred DP just to give him a name?'
I have no idea why giving him a name cost me so much demonic power, but Bones surprises me by seeming happy after he has a name. I find it weird for a skeleton to have facial expressions but he can at least convey basic emotions. As I am studying him I notice he keeps looking at the corner of the room, specifically he keeps looking at the pile of bones that I made when I was practicing on lesser bones.
"What, Bones do you want that stuff?"
Bones nods.
"Alright, take whatever you want."
Bones eagerly walks over and sits next to the pile and starts eating the bones one by one. I am expecting to see bone fragments falling to the floor since he has no stomach but that doesn't happen. The bones are disappearing as he eats them, where are they going?
Wherever they are going, Bones seems happy as he munches his way through the bones. I don't have any use for them anymore so I decide to go along with it. I fetch the rest of the practice bones from my room and add them to the pile. I also take the rest of the bones out of my pouch and add them as well, everything except the drake bones anyway.
