Krenocia gives me a kiss in response, leaves, and then I end the soulscape. Next, I track down Leonarr to get a report on the current situation. Surprisingly nothing has changed, the situation is still under control, for now.

However, before I pray to Krenocia, I use my medallion to contact Myria. If I do something crazy like this without telling her I am going to end up in a world of trouble. Then again, I will still probably get in trouble, I just won't be accused of running away.

Myria says "Ash, what's up?"

"Just letting you know I am leaving for a bit to do something crazy."

Myria says "Oh? What have you come up with now?"

"I am going on a raid into Holos' domain to kill some angels."

Myria says "Haha. That's a good joke!"

"Um, I'm not joking."

Myria says "You had better be joking! Otherwise, that is an insane idea!"

"Now you sound like Seronia. I am not joking, I am going to sneak into Holos' domain to kill as many angels of his as I can and then I will run away."

Myria says "No! Absolutely not! You are not allowed to run off and get yourself killed! Invading a god's domain is suicide!"

"It's not that bad. Besides, I have a plan! Krenocia is going to help me sneak in and I will be disguised as an angel. Trust me, it will be fine."

Myria says "Oh, you have a plan?! Well, that just makes everything all better! Your plans always work out perfectly and you never endanger yourself!"

"Um, when did you become so sarcastic?"

Myria says "I learned it from dealing with you! Now, are you going to give up on your insane plan?"

"No. It is not insane and it is going to make me and the goddesses stronger. It is worth the risks that I am going to take."

Myria says "If I can't talk you out of it, why did you even bother to tell me?!"

"Because I promised to keep you informed if I was going to leave the fort."

Myria says "Oh, fine! When you die, and you will die, I am going to have Krenocia reincarnate you as a bunny and keep you as a pet! I will lock you in a cage and never let you outside!"

"I think you are overreacting a little. This is definitely not the most dangerous thing that I have done."

Myria says "That is not a good reason to do it!"

"You want a good reason? Once I get an angel core and level up to level twenty, I will be able to have an angel of my own."

Myria says "What is so good about having an angel that makes it worth risking your life?"

"In the short term nothing, but given some time to level it up, it could make a huge difference when I have to fight the demon lords. It might even be the difference between winning and losing."

Myria says "Why do you make it sound like you will be fighting the demon lords alone? You won't be alone!"

"Yes, I will be. No one else is even close to being able to fight the demon lords, except maybe Kechara. I am not exactly sure how strong she is right now, but she still can't move too far from the mountain. It also depends on how long we have left until the war, some others may become strong enough to help, but I'm not counting on that."

Myria says "I will be strong enough to help! I am not going to let you face the demon lords alone!"

"I appreciate the sentiment, but you should fight some demons before you go saying you will face the demon lords. You are vastly underestimating how strong demons can be. Even with all the risks I have taken to get stronger, I still am not confident of fighting all five of them."

Myria says "Why would you have to fight all five of them? Just fight them one by one!"

"I would love to! The problem is that demons are intelligent and the demon lords are just as smart, if not smarter, than we are. I have tried to come up with a way to split them up, but so far I haven't thought of anything."

Myria says "Fine. Once this thing with the empire is done, I am going to go fight demons. I will find out if what you are saying is true."

"If that is what you want to do, I won't stop you. We can talk about it when I get back."

Myria says "You mean if you get back!"

"Oh, I will be back, no doubt about that. Only Holos could kill me and he would find it harder than he thinks." However, he isn't going to get the chance, he won't even see me."

Myria says "What's that saying from your world, famous last words?"

"If that was going to be an issue, I'd have died a long time ago. I will be back in a day or so and then we can talk. We can arrange a party to go mess with the demons on the land bridge."

Myria says "That sounds interesting. Why are you so confident that you will be back?"

"Because, all I am going to be dealing with are angels and they aren't a threat to me. Holos doesn't have an eight-winged angel, so as long as I avoid him, I will be fine. I've told you, the risks I take are calculated. I don't do things without thinking them through, no matter what Seronia thinks."

Myria says "Aren't you being overconfident? And what does Seronia have to do with it?"

"Maybe a little and like you, Seronia is mad at me for this plan."

Myria says "I don't blame her! She has put a lot of work into you and you are going to throw it all away when you die!"

"But I'm not going to die! I am going to kill a bunch of angels and run away at the first sign of Holos. Or Mythica for that matter."

Myria says "Wait, who is Mythica? Why does it sound like the name of a woman?"

"She is an eight-winged angel who serves the southern pantheon. She is a little scary and she is going to be hunting Holos' angels soon. That is why I have to go now, before she gets to them."

Myria says "I thought angels weren't a problem?"

"Eight-wings are different. They are the top rank among angels, but Holos doesn't have one. If he did, then I wouldn't be going on this little raid."

Myria says "A quick little in and out to grab some angel cores, is that really all you are doing? You are not going to try to steal anything from Holos or taunt him in any way?"

"Why would you ask that? No, I am not doing anything else. I am only after angel cores, as many as I can get. That's it."

Myria says "Because you said you had a plan and your plans are never that simple. There must be something else going on."

"Nope. Not this time anyway. I am just trying to grab some cores while I can. A few for me and a few for the goddesses if I can manage it."
