Now, all that is left is to go back into the volcano and try it out on the undead. Before I leave I make sure Brightfire and Nala have had enough to eat, I put out some food for breakfast in case I don't make it back in time. Then I gate back down to the island, due to the ice I have to gate to the edge of the island.
After closing the gate, I head towards the ice mountain to look for an undead. This time I get lucky and find one at the edge of the ice that is just crawling out of its grave. I shapeshift into my elven warrior form so that I can wield the warhammer.
Then I walk over and bash the zombie in the skull, the hammer steals a portion of its power. It takes another five hits to completely steal the zombie's power and turn it into dust. The weapon works, just not quite as well as I had hoped, but it still works.
Gained 1 Origin Energy!
'Two down, hundreds to go! I just wish I still got Exp from them!'
Since my shapeshift is still limited I don't waste any time and head towards the mountain. On the way there I run into and beat down another zombie and a skeleton. Each one takes five to six hits to steal all of the energy and turn it into Origin Energy.
Gained 2 Origin Energy!
As I head towards the mountain I start thinking of ways to improve the enchantments. While I may not be able to get it down to a single hit to steal the power, maybe I can reduce it. If I can get it down to two or three hits it will make it a lot faster to complete my goal.
If I still had sacred power it would be easy to improve the enchantments. Without that, I have to work on improving the enchantments themselves. Well, the energy conversion is fine, all I really need to improve is the Drain Touch.
Having a thought I stop and scan the warhammer, it still has mana unused. It should be just enough to add another enchantment, meaning I can put a second Drain Touch in. That way I can double the efficiency without having to try and modify the existing enchantments.
Creating the enchantment is easy and only takes a few minutes, but that isn't the end. The problem is for them to work simultaneously I have to match them up perfectly. That takes me more than a few minutes, but I manage to make it work.
Just as I am about to look for an undead to test it on I realize I have been shapeshifted for more than thirty minutes. However, I don't think that is my own doing, I think it is because of the Origin Energy. Even though I currently only have four points of it, I can feel power radiating from my body.

This is probably close to what it feels like to be a god, I can't even imagine what it is going to feel like when I collect hundreds. In fact, I am a little worried that carrying this much raw energy might be harmful. However, there is not much I can do to avoid it, it would take an artifact level item to store them.
That would require divine power to make, and that is something I can't use right now. It might be possible to use Origin Energy instead, but I think Seronia and Krenocia might kill me. Besides, I don't really know how to use Origin Energy and experimenting with it could kill me.
Either the experiment would kill me, or the goddesses would for wasting energy. Maybe after I have gotten them the hundred each that they want I could get some for myself. There should definitely be plenty of undead left by then, I would just need to free them.
When I reach the base of the mountain I can see several hundred undead busy attacking the crack. As I am standing there watching them an undead that was heading towards the mountain turns and attacks me. The fact that it didn't ignore me is odd, but I wanted to test the warhammer anyway.
Gained 1 Origin Energy!
Three hits was all it took, the dual enchantments actually worked perfectly! It makes me wonder what other enchantments I could set up that way. I will just have to remember this trick the next time I am making something.
For now I need to get busy, I can feel Seronia and Krenocia watching me. This is obviously a really big deal to them, I half imagine I can feel their growing impatience. However, when I move closer to the mountain, three undead suddenly turn and run at me.
It looks like they are no longer going to ignore me, it must be because of the Origin Energy. Maybe they can sense it within me and the maker wants it back or something. It has to be something to do with the energy since that is the only thing that has changed.
The three undead are two skeletons and a zombie, they attack me as soon as they are close enough. I manage to dodge most of their attacks but a few get through and hit me. They hurt more than I was expecting, which is when I remember I never put my armor back on.
Gained 3 Origin Energy!
As my wounds close up I reach into the pouch, pull out my armor, and put it on. Then I take a few steps forward, instantly four more undead turn and run at me. Since each one takes three hits to put down, it takes a while to put the four of them down.
Gained 4 Origin Energy!
That gives me a total of twelve Origin Energy, a decent start but I still have a long way to go. The more energy I collect, the better I feel, in fact after I hit twenty energy I feel invincible. However, when I pass fifty it starts feeling painful, like my body is vibrating itself apart.
"Seronia! Is carrying Origin Energy supposed to hurt?"
Seronia says "No! If it hurts then you are carrying too much!"
Before I can say anything else, Seronia appears in front of me and moves towards me. As soon as she reaches me she takes my face in her hands and then she kisses me. The kiss is unexpected, but I don't resist and it goes on for several minutes.
Lost 54 Origin Energy!
As soon as she absorbs the energy from me Seronia starts floating into the air. After a few seconds she starts giving off a bright white glow and has a look of bliss on her face. It looks like not only is she getting a powerup but it is a very pleasant experience.
Then after a few minutes the glow fades and Seronia disappears after giving me a smile. I would imagine that she is going to need some time to adapt to the influx of power. So I turn to go back to killing the undead and collecting more Origin Energy.
