That will allow her to take control of the core of the golem through magic instead. As long as Athena can interface with the core, she shouldn't have any problem controlling the golem. Whether or not she will be able to use magic through the golem remains to be seen.
I am hoping that she will be able to and if she can it might help me figure out how to give Jarvis magic. Or at least help me figure out what my golems are missing, I am still learning after all. The golem for Athena is a lot more complicated than the combat models and takes me a lot longer to build.
When I get hungry, I don't stop working, I just eat lunch as I keep going. Since this body is for Athena, I want to make sure that it is just as good as the one I made for Jarvis. I don't want either one of them getting jealous of the other and causing problems.
So far, from what little I have seen, they are getting along fairly well and I want it to stay that way. I certainly don't want to mess things up between them because I didn't think things through. So, I make Athena's golem as close of a match as I can to Jarvis' golem.
The only real difference between them is the golem's core, and how the body looks. After all, I can't give Athena a male body, so I make the golem look as much like her as I can. Once she has control of the golem, she should be able to make it suit her.
If I can figure out from her what Jarvis' body is missing, he should be able to customize his appearance as well. Well, that is what I am hoping for, but I will have to wait and see how it goes. Even though I am using the same materials and the same design, the new golem ends up different.
It must be because my skills have gotten better, but this golem is higher quality. Although, I find it weird that I haven't gotten a skill related to golems or anything else. When I first arrived in this world, it was really easy to get new skills, but lately there has been nothing.
It could be because there is a maximum number of skills allowed, but that doesn't feel right. I think it is more likely that the system just gave up on tracking my skills. Although, I do still occasionally manage to level up a skill, so that might not be it either.
Wait, the goddesses told me that the system was the creation of my soul. It was to help me adapt to this world, so maybe I have adapted enough that I no longer need as much help. If that is the case, then I should be prepared for the system to disappear completely.
To be honest, I don't use it much other than to keep track of my stats and things like that. Most of the time, I don't even look at it, even though I keep forgetting all sorts of things. I wonder if it might have something to do with me increasing my soul level.

I can't remember if I have gotten any new skills since I increased my soul level. I have gotten new spells, but that seems to be completely different from skills. Oh crap, I forgot that I was supposed to be removing the connection to Bones from my soul.
In fact, I forgot about Bones altogether, no wonder he wants to be free. Now that I have remembered, I stop working on the golem and enter into meditation. Then I access my soul and look for the connection to Bones, luckily it hasn't moved.
I was worried that I would have to start all over, but it looks like that isn't the case. So, I start working on moving the connection and push until it hurts. I want to go further, but I just can't risk damaging my soul, it takes too long to heal.
Based on the distance I can move it, I should be able to remove the connection after two more sessions. I can't help but wonder what Bones is going to want to do once he is free. Hopefully he doesn't decide to attack me, but I would completely understand if he did.
After all, I have forgotten about him several times now, that can't feel good. I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens, but I need to make sure I don't forget again. Now I am worried about what else I might have forgotten, but nothing comes to mind.
So, I exit my meditation and go back to putting the finishing touches on the golem. Once the golem is finished, I start putting all of the enchantments on it. After the enchantments are done, I take the golem and exit the castle before calling Athena.
Athena says "You called, master?"
"Yes, I finished your golem and wanted you to test it out. I know it doesn't look exactly like you, but once you gain control of it you should be able to fix that."
Athena says "Alright. What do I need to do?"
"You just need to imprint your magic onto the golem's core. That should allow you to control the golem and its enchantments."
After listening to my instructions, Athena sticks her arm into the golem. After a minute she disappears and then the golem starts to move around. As she is testing out the movements of the golem, I notice its face changing.
Soon the golem looks exactly like Athena, meaning that she has properly imprinted with the core. Unfortunately, when I ask her to test it I find that she can't use magic through the golem. That means that there is something wrong with my design, but I have no idea what.
"Hm, I will have to do some experimenting and see if I can figure out where I went wrong. Aside from not being able to use magic, how does it feel?"
Athena says "It feels fairly odd, but not in a bad way."
"Well, give it some time, see if you get used to it. If, in the end, you don't like it, you don't have to use it."
Athena says "Alright. Do you have any orders for me?"
"No, not really. Oh, wait. I haven't told you where we are going, have I?"
Athena says "No. Your only orders so far were to head west."
I create an illusion of the map so that we don't have to go upstairs and then look for the area Almort told me about. Then I find the closest part of the coast to it and point it out to Athena.
"Head for here."
Athena says "Understood."
"Lin and I will be spending a majority of our time in the castle. If you need something, come find us or send a message through Jarvis. The same goes for the others if they need anything."
Athena says "Understood."
Athena gets an odd look on her face and I realize that she just tried to leave the room. However, her new body can't teleport like that and she just realized it. She walks over, clumsily opens the door, and walks out.
