Without another word the two of them stand up and approach me, one on either side. As they lean in and kiss me on each cheek simultaneously I feel a major jolt of power run through me. It feels like I just stuck my finger in a power outlet, and that is besides the fact I have two beautiful goddesses kissing me.

The goddesses are surprised by my sudden exclamation and they both step back. I am so excited I don't notice, I am completely focused on the notification messages.

Before I can verify my new abilities or check out my spells I am distracted by screaming. The goddesses are just watching me, the screaming isn't coming from them. Just as I am wondering if I am going crazy Drog manifests physically and continues screaming.

Drog yells "Ow! Ow! Ow! Stay away from me!!"

"What? What's wrong?"

Drog yells "You are trying to kill me!!"

Seronia says "Your presence feels different, what just happened?"

"Well, when I received your blessing I was suddenly able to gain a class. Isn't that what you intended?"

Krenocia says "No! Our blessing was the only reward. We didn't know you would get a class!"

Seronia says "We, like you, thought that you couldn't have a class!"

Krenocia says "What class did you get?"

"It is called Sacred Crusader."

Seronia says "That sounds interesting!"

"Yeah, according to the class information it is a higher form of paladin."

Krenocia says "That would explain why Drog doesn't like it."

"It is more than that. I gained a passive ability that does continuous damage to unholy beings. I'm guessing demons qualify as unholy."

Seronia says "Yes, they do. That will be a very useful ability when the war comes!"

Krenocia says "I'm surprised Drog is with you, you didn't mention him at all in your story."

"That's because he has basically been grounded. He became obsessed with Isabella and caused a lot of problems."

Krenocia says "What rank is he now?"

"He is still rank two."

Krenocia says "Well, that explains it then."

"What does?"

Krenocia says "You know that a demon's intelligence is determined by their rank right?"

"Yes, but Drog kept his intelligence from when he was rank five."

Krenocia says "That was only temporary. The longer he stays at a lower rank the more intelligence he will lose."

"Oh, I didn't know that! So him acting childish is my fault for not ranking him up?"

Krenocia says "Basically, yes. This ability that is hurting him, can you turn it off?"

"No, it seems to be an always active type of ability."

Seronia says "Well, that is going to be a problem."

"Krenocia, you said that when I die you are going to take Drog?"

Krenocia says "Yes, that was the plan."

"Well, can you take him now instead?"

Krenocia says "Yes, I can. But to do so I will have to break your contract with him. Since it is a soul contract, it is going to hurt, a lot."

"That's fine. Please, do it."

Krenocia says "Alright. Drog, come here."

Drog says "Don't wanna!"

Rather than arguing with him Krenocia waves her hand and suddenly she looks like Isabella. Drog immediately runs over to her and buries his face in her cleavage. If he could see the look on her face he would be running for his life.

Blitz floats off of my back and over to the two of them, then starts glowing. After a second the contract scroll appears from Blitz and Krenocia grabs it and rips it in half. Instantly I drop to my knees in pain, struggling to breathe, it feels like someone grabbed my insides and pulled.

Half the contract disappears while the other half turns into a ring and slides onto Krenocia's finger. With a wave of her hand Drog vanishes and she returns to looking like herself. The pain inside me slowly fades away and I am able to get back to my feet.

A crackling sound makes me look at Blitz, which is now covered in black lightning. I had completely forgotten that Blitz had gained that ability, I guess it was suppressed by Drog. When I pick Blitz up it feels different, more alive now for some reason.

Krenocia says "Don't worry about Drog, I will take good care of him."

"Thank you. For a demon he isn't such a bad guy."

Krenocia says "I have plenty of human souls for him to devour. He will be better once he ranks up."

Seronia says "So, what are your plans now, Ash?"

"Well, I had planned to head straight back to Illium next, but now I might change that. Now that I can level up I am very excited to do so."

Seronia says "Were you thinking of going back to that city you told us about?"

"Yeah, actually I was. Those driders should be good experience. Why?"

Seronia says "I was hoping you might go back there. If you pray to us from inside the barrier we should be able to see the place."

"Do you mean I need to summon you to a soulscape, or are you talking about actually praying?"

Seronia says "Just pray. You will be able to speak to either of us directly by praying."

"That doesn't sound normal, why the special treatment?"

Krenocia says "Because you have our blessing. Technically you rank higher than our high priestesses so we will always answer when you pray."
