A lot of weaker goblins die just from the skill, all the others instantly go insane and charge at me. Using my knight blades I start dancing through them, every goblin I pass dies. Thanks to the taunt of Lion's Rage none of them try to run away, five minutes later none are left alive.
I'm lucky I took the quest when I did, if I had waited one more day the village would have been wiped out by this group. Not to mention this is just an advance raiding party, there are definitely more than just a thousand goblins. Which should mean there are other parties in the area to collect food for the main force.
For the rest of the night I roam the area hunting down more scouting and foraging parties. By the time the sun starts to rise the crystal shows I am at almost two thousand kills already. After stopping at a stream to clean up I run back to town, I have troops to train after all.
When I arrive at my troop's barracks I find them all fully geared and standing in two lines. Seeing them already prepared I smile and move to stand in front of them. For the next ten minutes I show them how to stretch properly so that they don't injure themselves.
Then I lead them on another run around the town, this time I don't have to scare anyone into keeping up. While they are all exhausted by the time we return to the barracks, they are better off than they were yesterday. After they catch their breaths I lead the way to the main hall so we can all get some food.
The other troop members that are already there eating when we enter all turn to stare at me. For the most part I ignore them but I overhear enough comments to know they are all talking about me killing an ogre. I'm fairly surprised that word has spread so fast, there must be members of the troops that are also in the adventurer's guild.
As I eat I listen to my troops chatter, it seems they are very motivated to rank higher. They don't like being considered the weakest troop, and even though they hate my training already they also want to get stronger. Considering I haven't really started training them yet I can't help but chuckle at their comments.
Once everyone is done eating I let them have an extra half hour before leading them back to the barracks. Then I spend the next two hours teaching them strength building exercises. By the time I am done they are exhausted again, so I tell them to rest for the rest of the day and that I will see them tomorrow morning.

After leaving the castle I head back to the guild district and find the leatherworker's guild. It takes a while before I manage to talk to someone who can actually do what I ask. However, when I leave the guild, although my 75 gold is gone, I have ordered fifty sets of custom made armor lining.
My next stop is the blacksmith's guild, where it only takes a few minutes to get to talk to a master blacksmith. After describing what I want, including some sketches I did, I use the other swords and valuables I got from the ogre as a deposit. I will still owe the guild another 150 gold by the time my order is complete but that will take a week at least.
Once I am done with the goblins I should be able to pay that off fairly easily, I may even have money left over. It will all depend on how many goblins I manage to find, after all every thousand goblins is an extra 10 gold. If I turned in the quest right now I would get almost 120 gold, and I haven't even found the main force yet.
Since I have a few more hours before the sun goes down I head for the village. After I circle around the village, I find a nice spot and take a nap under a tree. I wake up right as the sun is going down, so I get up and start searching for more goblins.
By now the main force has realized something is wrong, so instead of scouting parties I find much stronger search parties. Each one has between one to two hundred goblins in it, but they don't stand a chance. Thanks to Lion's Rage not a single goblin escapes my blades, in fact they all run to me to die.
The upgrade from fear to a taunt is the most useful thing that has happened to any of my skills. Normally the goblins would run before half of them were dead, now I don't have to chase any of them. Within the first hour of night I manage to find and eliminate a dozen search parties.
This puts me over three thousand kills so far, it also puts me in a very good mood. If I can find and kill another two thousand goblins I will make enough to pay the blacksmith's guild what I owe them. Taking a look at the map I can pretty much figure out where the main force should be, but as I do I notice something else.
In the hills to the north of me there is a mark for a mining outpost, if the goblins noticed it they probably sent a force to wipe it out. As soon as I realize that I jump to my feet and start running towards the outpost. Hopefully, I can get there before the goblins and ambush them, if not then I will have to avenge the miners.
When I reach a hill overlooking the camp I can see that it is still intact, but I also see movement around it. Sure enough, goblins are currently surrounding the camp, with no time to spare I run down the hill. The goblins see me coming and a group moves to intercept me, but they only send twenty, they don't even slow me down.
