"In that case I will see you there."
Borrik says "Alright, in the meantime I need to go convince Ambrose to move the guildmaster meetings here!"
"If you do convince him, I will add a special meeting room when we do the remodel of the inn."
Borrik says "Deal!"
As he heads downstairs I can tell he is genuinely happy, looks like he was expecting to meet another arrogant noble. While I may be somewhat arrogant, I am nothing like the nobles of this city who have probably never even left the city. Their world view is so small and they don't even realize it, it blinds them to a lot of things.
No need to brood about them now, I will be dealing with them enough tonight. Instead I head downstairs to talk to Sarah, again I have to wait for a few minutes because she is busy. When she has a minute free I ask her if there is a tailor or seamstress among the summoned.
She informs me that there is and gives me directions to her shop, so I head outside to find the shop. When I enter the shop I feel like I've stepped into another world, there is color everywhere. There are mannequins with all sorts of styles and colors of dresses all over the room.
Amarah says "Welcome! How can I help you?"
"Hi, I'm Ash, and I need your help with something."
Amarah says "Sure, Ash, what do you need?"
"Well, I need uniforms for a hundred beastmen."
Amarah says "I see, that is a fairly tall order, but I think I can help you."
"Alright, what do we need to do?"
Amarah says "Well, first you will need to design the uniform. Decide on a color and what your symbol is going to be. Then I will need to measure the beastmen and then make the uniforms."
So I sit down with Amarah to design the uniform, I decide to go with a dark blue as the primary color. It will have silver accents and the symbol will be in black, for the symbol I of course go with a stylized roaring lion's head. When she draws it out I think it looks awesome so I decide to go with that design, she tells me she can start as soon as I send people over to be measured.
My next stop is the building that Pol has taken over, to meet and talk to the beastmen he has brought in to act as muscle. They all act like I am their lord and master and to be honest it makes me a little uncomfortable. After a while they settle down and stop acting so weird towards me which is a relief.

That is until I tell them they have been selected to become my guard force, then they all kneel and swear their lives to me. It's embarrassing but it is also the kind of thing I am going to need to get used to. After all, once I am a king people will be bowing and kneeling constantly, and I need to be comfortable with it or I will look like a bad king.
After explaining their duties and what I expect of them I select a few randomly to send over to Amarah to get the process started. The sooner we have some of them in uniform the better, hopefully enough will be ready by the time Pol leaves. His merchant caravan is the top priority to protect right now, and I would prefer the protectors be in uniform.
With that all settled and started, everything is done and that means I need to get ready for the party. Although, since I'm already in my armor I don't need to get dressed or anything. All I really need to do is kill time until I am fashionably late and make sure to eat something before I go.
So I head back to the inn, take a seat in the common room, and order an ale. As I sit there sipping my drink I watch Sarah and her girls go about the business of serving everyone. The place already seems busier than usual, in fact several new faces are dressed like mercenaries.
Borrik seems to have already told some of his people about the food here, word will spread faster and faster. Whatever plans Sarah has she is going to have to put them in motion even faster than we first thought. The inn being more active is a good thing both for Sarah and the street, the inn might even start turning a profit.
Not that I need the money currently, but I'm sure it will make Sarah feel better. In fact she looks happier already with just a few extra people in here, either that or she is just acting. No, as I watch I get the feeling she is genuinely happier with the extra customers.
Sarah says "Hey, sorry, did you need something?"
"A snack before I head to the party, but I've got time so no need to rush."
Sarah says "Okay, I'll bring something up in a minute. Oh, Walter sent you a package, it's on the table."
"What would Walter send me?"
Sarah says "I don't know! Go look!"
Laughing I grab my refilled drink and head upstairs to find out just what Walter would send me. With my curiosity eating at me I set my drink down and pick up the package off the table and tear it open. Inside I find a cloak of all things, it is made from the fur of the behemoth and dyed red to match my armor.
Putting it on and turning to look at myself in the mirror, I am surprised to find it looks good. I expected it to look ridiculous but it actually suits the armor perfectly, it looks dashing and yet still intimidating. I will have to remember to thank Walter later, this completes the armor in a way that is perfect for the party.
As I am admiring it in the mirror I notice that when I move there is a very subtle pattern hidden in the cloak. After studying it for a minute I realize that when I move just right the cloak gives the impression of wings. The skill it took to do something so subtle leaves me stunned, until I hear a giggle behind me and turn to see Sarah.
Sarah says "Quite dashing, Lord Ash!"
"Thank you, Sarah."
Sarah says "I brought you a snack, make sure not to get any on your armor before the party!"
"Haha, I will be careful."
Sarah sets the tray on the table and heads back downstairs, while I sit and carefully eat every delicious scrap. I admit I am worried about the party, I didn't have much experience with them in my old life. The fact that it is going to be filled with a bunch of nobles who are basically my enemies doesn't help.
