When Lin and I enter the suite we find a large stack of crates to one side of the room. Two of the crates contain magical wood, the rest are full of weapons. A little over thirty of the weapons are unenchanted, the remaining seventy or so are enchanted.
Lin says "Why are there weapons that are already enchanted?"
"So that I can disenchant and re-enchant them."
Lin says "That's dangerous. Unless you are the one who enchanted them, disenchanting can lead to serious problems."
"It's not a big deal for me, I have done it multiple times. In fact, once you know how, it is easy. Would you like me to teach you?"
Lin says "Sure. I can't really think of when I would need it, but extra skills are not a bad thing."
Taking one of the enchanted weapons, I slowly unravel the mana of the enchantments. Going slowly makes it harder, but it is the only way for Lin to see what I am doing. Luckily, since they were failures, no one bothered to put a locking enchantment on the weapons.
When I re-enchant them I intend to put a locking enchant on them, as well as a concealing enchant. That way it will make it much harder for someone to see how they are enchanted. It won't completely prevent someone from eventually doing it, but it will make it harder.
"Did you see how it is done?"
Lin says "Yes, but it still looks dangerous."
"Doing it slowly like that does make it harder, but it is the only way I can show you what I am doing."
Lin says "I could probably do it if I had to, but I think I will just leave it to you. I don't have your toughness if something goes wrong."
"That's fine. I need a break from creating spells for a bit, so I am going to work on the weapons. Can books be removed from the library?"
Lin says "From the library, yes. Just not from the building."
"Then why don't you go get a couple of stacks of books and bring them back with you? Then you can keep me company."
Lin says "Sure. Sounds good."
Lin leaves to go get some books and I grab another weapon to disenchant. I return to my normal form and when Lin gets back she sits down and uses me as a backrest. She starts skimming through books while I disenchant the weapons one by one.
Now that I am not going slow to teach Lin, it only takes me about thirty seconds for each weapon. The enchantments on them are primitive, it looks like the work of apprentices. This makes it even easier for me to remove the enchantments with hardly any risk.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Even with how fast I can disenchant them, it still takes me almost an hour to get through all the weapons. Once I am done I have almost a hundred unenchanted weapons piled in front of me. None of them are of high enough quality for me to use the more advanced enchantment.
I take my time enchanting the first weapon, just so that I can figure out the best way. Once I have figured out the best way, my enchanting speed increases quite a bit. Still, it takes me about five minutes to enchant each weapon, but that isn't too bad.
After enchanting the twentieth weapon, I take a break and have dinner with Lin. After dinner I return to enchanting weapons and Lin lays down on my back. Instead of skimming books from the library she takes out her own book to read.
She is probably tired of just skimming through books, after all she has been doing it all day. It has probably been hard on her, seeing all those interesting books and not being able to read them. I know that doing so would drive me nuts, but Lin is far more patient than I am.
However, I am not going to say anything about it, she has certainly earned a break. Besides, having her laying on my back is comforting and I am enjoying it. So I don't disturb her and just focus on enchanting more weapons.
I enchant another thirty weapons before I start to feel my focus slipping. Enchanting takes a lot of focus, so I stop for the night and open up a soulscape. I set up the theater and start an anime for Lin, Myria, and Brightfire.
Instead of joining them, I go into the copy of the castle to play with the kids. It has been a long time since I played with all of them and I have missed them. We play until the kids are exhausted, which takes several hours, but I have a ton of fun.
The kids leave once they are worn out, but the girls stay to finish the anime. Once the anime is done I end the soulscape, shapeshift into human form, and carry Lin to bed. We have our fun for quite a while until Lin falls asleep, then I start working on my core.

When morning comes and I notice Lin starting to stir I end my meditation. We have breakfast in bed, have some fun, and then we get to work. Lin starts skimming through books while I go back to enchanting weapons.
After a while Lin runs out of books to copy and needs to return to the library. I pack up the enchanted weapons and then head to the library with Lin. I am bored of enchanting and want to work on the new spell for a while.
Sitting next to Lin I start working on the beginnings of the spell using the spacial spell as the foundation. This spell is much harder for me to create because it uses concepts that I don't fully understand. I go through a dozen pieces of paper before I even get the start of the spell right.
At least I think it is right, I can't even test it until I have completed the rest of the spell. Even if it works that won't be the end of things, I will still need to convert it into an enchantment. All in all, I think that this spell in particular is going to take me several days worth of work.
However, making the castle into a self-contained world is definitely worth the effort. Not just because it will allow Lin access to her library, but also because it will have other uses. Besides, I already miss my lava bath and I want to be able to use it any time I want.
Not to mention that it would be a perfect place to hide people to keep them safe from danger. It will also make it more useful as a portable home and having a garden would be nice. It will all depend on whether or not I can create this spell and get it to work the way I want it to.
Lin says "You have been staring at the ceiling for a while. What are you thinking about?"
