It takes Lin less than a minute to cast the spell and hand control of it over to me. Right after that I feel two streams of mana entering my body and I have to get to work. Lin's mana can be used straight away, but Myria's mana needs to be purified first.
Since Lin has way more mana than I do, I have to work quickly to prevent being overloaded. Luckily, I already planned out how I am going to enhance the spell, so I just have to channel the mana. Myria doesn't have much of a mana pool, so her stream of mana ends after a couple of minutes.
Lin on the other hand is channeling mana into me for about the next half an hour. That amount of mana has turned the simple spell into something huge and complex. That is why I had Lin cast the spell, her's is much sturdier than mine would be.
Once the spell is ready, I step outside of the barrier so that I can touch the tower's outer wall. When I do, I get punched in the face by the extreme cold and can't help shivering. With how cold it is, I only have a few minutes at most before I start suffering damage.
If I had thought things through properly, I would have brought Asuna with me. Instead, I find myself trying to push through snow that is almost as tall as I am. Luckily, I don't have to go very far before I am able to touch the wall and release the spell.
I have modified the spell so that it will use the entire tower as its point of origin. If I tried to use the spell directly, it would do some serious damage to me, but the tower can handle it easily. While I could heal the damage fairly easily, I don't want to go through it since I don't have to.
Once the spell is released, I watch as it spreads out from the tower in a ring. It only takes a few minutes for it to cover the entire sky and stretch beyond my sight. As fast as it is moving, it will still take an hour or so to cover the entire peninsula.
Only once it has finished expanding will the spell actually trigger its main effect. With the amount of mana I put into it, the spell should last for a few hours. After that, it will still take a few more hours before the effect will wear off.
Any demons on the peninsula should be revealed and unable to hide for six to eight hours. While I would prefer for it to be longer, that will have to suffice for now. That is the best that I can do until I have permission to add it to the tower as an enchantment.
I quickly retrace my steps, enter into the tower, and close the doors behind me. As soon as the doors close, I feel a lot of warm air blowing directly onto me. Considering I am covered in snow and can no longer feel my face or feet, it feels amazing.
"Thank you, Yui!"

Yui says "You're welcome. Did it work?"
"So far it is going as planned, but I won't know for sure for a few hours."
Yui says "Alright. Lin and Myria are waiting for you in the dining room."
"Thanks."
When I walk into the dining room I see Lin and Myria sitting on either side of my normal chair. It looks like they moved the chairs to be as close to mine as they can. They have already started eating, but their conversation stops when I enter the room.
Lin says "Is it done?"
"The spell is released, but it will take a few hours to spread fully. Only then will it take effect, if it works."
Myria says "Got a backup plan in case it doesn't?"
"Yeah. I will fly into the empire and cast the spell myself over every city."
Lin says "That sounds dangerous, let's hope the spell works as planned."
Myria says "You are planning on taking us with you if you go into the empire, right?"
"Um."
Lin points at my chair and says "Sit."
Myria says "If you think you are running off into danger alone, think again. I told you that you aren't getting rid of me that easily!"
"It would be dangerous for the two of you, but it wouldn't be for me. I doubt that the empire has anything that can even hurt me when I am flying."
Lin says "Didn't you tell me that the empire's church has angels?"
"Yes, but I doubt that they would ignore the demons to come after me. Even if they did, I can kill them."
As I am speaking, I sit down between them as instructed and they both lean closer. They don't let up until I promise not to go running off into the empire without them. Once I promise, they both start feeding me, which is a new experience for me.
Even with feeding me, they both finish eating before I do and get up to leave. As they are walking out the door, they tell me they will be waiting for me in the bedroom. With that kind of motivation, I start cramming food into my mouth like I am starving.
However, when I finish eating and rush to the bedroom I find that the two of them have started without me. At first, I freeze when I see that, but I soon start enjoying the show. I hold myself back and enjoy watching them for as long as I can and then I pounce on them.
Needless to say, by the time we are done all three of us are exhausted and quickly fall asleep. I wake up a few hours later and am mostly recovered, but the two of them are sound asleep. I carefully free myself from their embrace and manage to get up without waking them.
"Yui, are you monitoring the spell?"
Yui says "What I can of it, yes."
"What's the status?"
Yui says "The spell has finished expanding and is now raining down on the peninsula, but I can't see what effect it is having. My sensors do not extend far enough for me to observe the empire."
"That's alright. I will just take a look outside, that should be enough for me to tell if the spell worked correctly."
Leaving the girls to sleep, I head back to the main doors and open them a bit. All it takes is a glance at the sky to see that the spell is working as intended. Now, as long as the demons don't have a counter for it, they should be completely revealed.
I want to head to the front lines to see what the situation in the empire is like, but I can't. I will have to wait for Lin and Myria to wake up and take them with me. Since it will probably be a while before they wake up, I head to the library.
After asking Yui to notify me once they are awake, I enter a reading room. At my request, the sprites bring me every book the library has about golems. I want to read through all of them before I take a look at the tower's core.
