I am pretty sure that if I snuck off to hunt a demon lord, Lin and Myria would kill me. I am pretty sure I could beat a demon lord one on one, just not five on one. If I can figure out a way to split them up, I would be able to end the war before it even begins.
Of course, we would still need to wipe out the remaining demons, but that wouldn't be hard. That reminds me, I wonder if the northern empire has attacked the demon lands yet. I will need to ask Emperor Amn for an update when I go visit him.
With the enchantments done, I head upstairs to sit down and eat some food. Then I head outside to check in with Leonarr and see if anything has happened. Unfortunately, nothing has, which means I am once again left with nothing to do.
Maybe I don't need to wait, I could sneak away to the southern empire right now. I shouldn't be gone for long and I can return quickly if something does happen. However, for some reason I feel like that is a bad idea, so I decide to put it off for now.
Instead, I decide to head back to the hallway and return to the world with the great forest. If I can find a few more of those bears, I should be able to level up my soul. If I can manage to do that, then I should be able to talk to the dragon again without getting in trouble.
After arriving in the world, while I am waiting for my body to form, I spot a fight. A tiger and a bear are currently fighting and it is an opportunity for me. As soon as my body is done forming I start preparing lightning bolts.
The tiger looks to be losing the fight, so I target the bear with my bolts. With the tiger keeping the bear distracted, I have no problem blasting it to death. As soon as it dies, I switch targets to the tiger and soon am able to kill it as well.
1 Great Bear defeated! 1,000 Soul Exp gained!
1 Great Tiger defeated! 800 Soul Exp gained!
Well, that was lucky and a great start to my hunt, but it also worries me a little. I will just have to hope that the corpses don't lure that massive bear to my exit. Just in case, I quickly leave the area, heading in the opposite direction from last time.
I move quietly, keeping an eye out for the big bear, or anything else on its level. I really don't want to have to find out if my soul can survive me being killed in this world. I keep moving for over an hour, but I don't find anything else to hunt before the forest ends.
Ahead of me is a vast plain and in the distance I can see what looks like a white city. The plain is covered in activity, with people of all races fighting against beasts. I can see humans, beastmen, elves, dwarves, and even orcs among them.

From what I can see from here, they are mostly fighting against packs of wolves. However, something seems off, no matter how many they kill, the number of wolves doesn't seem to go down. The longer I watch, the more confused I become because the same is happening to the humanoid forces.
They don't seem to fear death and anytime one of them dies, another replaces them. If I didn't know better, I would think that I had stepped into an MMORPG. Out of curiosity, I target a small wolf pack near me and blast them with lightning.
5 Lesser Wolves defeated! 250 Soul Exp gained!
It turns out that they are really easy to kill and only worth fifty soul exp each. While that isn't much, there are thousands of wolves on the plain that I can see. Even that little bit of exp will add up quickly if I kill a large number of wolves.
However, before I can make a move, the bodies of the five wolves disappear and a group of five wolves appear. They are a bit further away, but the appeared out of thin air, just like monsters spawning in a game. It shouldn't be possible from what I know, but seeing is believing.
Whatever the reason may be, this means that the exp here is pretty much infinite. As I am trying to figure out the implications, I notice something shiny on the ground. It is right where the wolves that I killed were, so I walk over to take a look.
It is a piece of soul armor, a helmet to be precise, but when I try, I can't touch it. It might be because I already have one, maybe you can't have duplicate items. Whatever the case may be, the fact that I can get gear here makes me excited.
I would really like to be able to complete the soul armor set if I can manage to. I probably don't have too much time left for this trip, but I will definitely be coming back. I wonder if there is a way for me to move the portal closer to the plain.
If so, it would make it much easier to come back to farm wolves for exp. I will have to try it out from the hallway, I am betting that there is a way. I will worry about that later, for now I kill the group of five wolves that just spawned.

*DING*
Congratulations! Your Soul has leveled up!
Now Level 3! +200 Soul HP, +1,000 Soul MP!
There, that should keep the dragon from getting mad at me again, I hope. I should probably raise my level at least one more time before I go see him, just to be safe. As easy as these wolves are to kill, getting another level shouldn't be too hard.
Since no one has disturbed me yet, I may as well go ahead and get some more exp now. The plain is vast, the humanoids are a decent distance away, so my actions shouldn't disturb them. Instead of waiting for the small pack to respawn, I move and attack a slightly bigger pack
9 Lesser Wolves defeated! 450 Soul Exp gained!
Even with a pack of nine, one good lightning bolt was all it took to kill them. Luckily, the packs tend to stay very close together, making them easier to kill. Unfortunately, this pack doesn't drop anything, so I kill another three packs.
21 Lesser Wolves defeated! 1050 Soul Exp gained!
Soul Armor gained: Gauntlets +1 Defense!
With that, the only piece that I should be missing is the chest piece. Of course, that is probably the hardest piece to find, but I will just have to keep trying. Although, it's not like I have been taking any damage since I am using magic.
The only downside is that lightning spells this strong use up a ton of mana. If I had access to my full mana pool, it wouldn't be much of a problem. The fact that I have a limited mana pool while I am in soul form is rather annoying.
