Mina never wore black. She was much more of a pink positive kind of person. Her naturally bubbly self did not gravitate towards dark colors or morbid sensibilities. There was nothing wrong with wearing darker shades, in her eyes. Her close friend, Winona was gloomarvelous in a dark veil, but that just wasn't her. Life was about living and all the joys that came with it...until the day of the funeral.
The hilly Business Park graveyard was filled with a hundred people that cloudy, autumn day. All to honor the young man who gave his life for justice.
Countless teachers and leagues from the esteemed Yarhard University, his closet friends, his dearest family members and even Mina's friends who had just approved of their relationship sat in steely folding chairs as the cold breeze chilled their faces.
Beside a jet-black casket, a gorgeous photo of a long haired man portrayed the deceased before his blinding at the hands of a jealous madman. His dark brown eyes, before they were ruined with acid smoldered with handsomeness. Mina regretted never getting to see them in their glory, but it didn't matter. He was perfect without them.
For the first time, Mina met his parents. Both were chocolate tan, handsome and noble like him. And together...along with Justice Divine Justice, they were the in-laws that never were.
What made it all the more painful, was that they did not have the typical in-law reaction of distrust towards the intimate partner of their child. In fact, Mr. Justice revealed that while he seemed quite stoic, clinical and aloof, William had written several letters to them over the months gushing about how he had met the perfect girl. One who had tempered his cynical and caustic views with an endless amount of giggles and bubbly sayings.

Handing her a letter, Mina's eyes traced the words of a man who was smitten with her.
Among the praises, Blind sang for her over the months, the thing that truly made her eyes wet with bittersweetness was when he said:
"Father, for the first time, since I was blinded...when I'm by her side, I can finally see the light."
Getting to see the true lovestruck emotion behind a cool, calm and collected gentleman was too much for Mina.
Tears rolled down her face and dropped onto the letter. She quickly pulled it away to avoid soiling it with her outburst of emotion.
How could she have found the perfect boyfriend and was now attending his funeral? Was God or Dog that cruel that he would steal two perfect beautiful boys from her? She did not know the answer.
With shiny brown eyes that matched their son, Mr. and Mrs. Justice asked Mina a very important question.
"You spent the last seven months with our William," his mother said. "Could you give us a eulogy?"
Mina was both honored and dismayed by this request.
On one hand, she wanted to tell everyone how amazing Willy was...and how amazing he had been to her.
On the other hand, the last seven months, plus how they had known each other before were something she'd have to relive in her words and in her mind.
It was absolutely joyful...until she had to recollect the bloody July that had taken Willy from her.
But...she thought with much consideration, his parents had never met her in person, and yet, they desired to hear her speak of their prestigious son. She was a commoner who did not possess their Yarhard pedigree. Unlike some of the snobs, ranging from Ashley to the murderous Sev, they did not see her lesser degree, they saw her as the girl who had healed William's sight.
At last, Mina nodded yes.
She would deliver the speech and give a eulogy for the perfect boyfriend.
She would do the life of William Justice, perfect justice.
